Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was another good one. I did Cathe Live Total Body Barre followed by ICE Rock’m Sock’m Knockout. I remember doing the barre workout when she filmed it several months ago and being a bit disappointed by it. But I loved it today! I also just got back from a walk. I checked the weather before I went and there was no chance of rain. I was about half way back home when the thunder started—and I was in trees—so my walk turned into a jog real fast. Suffice it to say, I still don’t like jogging. :D But I made it home safe and without getting rained on!

Thelma, great workout. I have done a hip opener class from one of the Spanish instructors—she does both Spanish and English classes—and I really enjoyed her. I just can’t remember her name right now! Anyhow, you are not confused on the rotation. Laurie and I opted to do circuits this week instead of repeating band and body weight workouts. We will be going into split sets heavy next week and all be on the same schedule again. I won’t speak for Laurie, but I saw this week as kind of a ‘free to choose whatever I enjoy week’, and I reached for metabolic workouts simply because I love them. Hopefully I don’t regret this next week!!

Laurie, great workout. I was half way through the kickboxing this morning before I remember I just did kickboxing on Sunday. Oh well. :) I live by the motto that there is never too much kickboxing to be done. I feel these workouts in my legs as well. I did a nice long stretch after I got home from my walk, and it does seem to help. I am so solid in my Saturday yoga right now and I just need to convince myself to make a second day of the week a solid yoga day. Instead I try to fit it in, and that makes it too easy to just not do.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Tuesday were Gina B Dance Cardio,
Walking Outdoors x2 and Travel Fit. I did 18,620 steps! I kept myself really busy to keep my mind from thinking too much about the colonoscopy prep process, so I started deep cleaning!

We finally got some rain. It started thundering in the morning when it was sunny. In the afternoon the dark clouds eventually made it to our area and delivered a lot of rain for about 45 minutes.

    Laurie, great workout!
I think this is the first time I hear about Eoin Finn. I'll have to check his classes out!

You sure are very busy! What a great idea to dedicate 1/2 hour to one of your projects each day.

Laurel, great workouts! I'm glad you enjoyed the Barre workout and that you were able to avoid the rain!

Thanks for clarifying my confusion about the rotation. I definitely missed the part where you and Laurie agreed to do circuits this week!
The Spanish instructor's name is Mariana Fernandez.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning's workout was GHUTV Bootcamp Burn 3. I thought this was a really good workout.

Laurel, Great job with those workouts, and getting yourself out of potential lightening. I hear you on the jogging. Not something that I will do again. There never is a time when kickboxing isn't a good thing to do during the week. I'm one of those that would do one everyday, but realize that isn't good for the body either. I'm hoping that I can start getting Friday as my solid yoga/stretch day, like you have your Saturday. I can so not do stretching, and of course that isn't good for me either. I try to do a workout on Saturday, but I just want to do something else. Sunday's are a little different, so I'm trying to get that as my longer workout day. Like total body.

Thelma, Nice workouts, and of course getting in all those steps. Probably a great way to go about not thinking about the prep for your colonoscopy. That whole process is just trying on the system. Glad to hear that you got some rain in your area. I have a few of Eoin's DVD's. He has an opening hip series on that DVD that is really good. He also has his dog on there, when we are in the down dog. Makes me smile.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout started with Cathe Love Legs, Arms, Core and More, which I had not done before. It is a blend of isolation and compound moves roughly in the format of the title’s body parts repeated several times. There was quite a bit of equipment (step, ball, fabric loop, weights, mat) which slowed the workout down enough to keep it non-cardio, but it was a good non-traditional total body workout. Then I couldn’t get my Peloton app to work, so I did Cathe Live Pedal Party. It has been probably more than two years since I have done a Cathe spin, and I was very happy while doing it that the total body workout was non-cardio because…..yowza. I finished it all with the extended stretch from Perfect 30.

Thelma, great workouts….and great step count. I don’t imagine today is going to be a good day for you, but I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. We had thunder all afternoon yesterday but very little rain. Today is foggy and humid but, still, very little rain. But it is cooler and I welcome that.

Laurie, great workout. I had planned on yoga today and am amazed how disappointed I was that my Peloton app wasn’t working. I didn’t have time for a longer yoga session because my spin was already 20 minutes longer than I planned. Three years ago, I couldn’t imagine saying the words ‘I was disappointed not to do yoga today’! But it really has helped my body immensely. Whenever you mention Eoin, I smile. I am so in the rut of using Peloton, I need to do what I was forced to do today with the spin—get out of my rut and reach for something like Eoin. His hips routine is still the best ever.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Wednesday were very lite because I had no energy. Probably a combination of being tired from Tuesday and lack of food. I managed to do Jessica Smith Walk a 5K - Steady Walk and Walking Outdoors.
My plan for today was to stay busy. I stayed busy but in a slow-motion sort of way, which is not what I had in mind.

I thought I was going to be very hungry, but thankfully that wasn't the case at all.

We had a rainy morning here and our highest temp was 75. I really think I'm starting to feel a touch of fall in the air. It seems much too soon!

Laurie sounds like a fun workout! Great job!

There has to be an easier way to do the colonoscopy prep. I had to drink two liters of the liquid prescribed. I felt that I drank it fairly quickly, but I'm supposed to drink 2 more liters at about 5AM. I don't think I'll be able to drink as fast at that time, so I'll get up at 4am.

I love hip openers. I will have to look to see if Eoin has it for free online. I bet the dog is adorable.

Laurel, great workouts! Cathe's workout sounds really good! Sorry you couldn't use the Peloton app. I'm glad you were able to do Cathe's spin DVD!

I can't wait for tonight to be over! I'm thinking about what I'll eat after the colonoscopy1 LOL
I hope you got some rain today too! It hasn't been humid here at all. I was a little chilly when I first walked out of the house wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning's workout was RAW Core Sculpting. Have never done this workout before, and it was a fun core workout. You all know how much I love my core workouts. :p This had core moves and boxing, so how could I not do it. :D

Laurel, Sounds like some awesome workouts. Sorry to hear that your app wasn't cooperating. I have those issues once in a while. I thought that was happening with my workout this morning, but it seemed to get back on track. I just hate starting a workout, and then it stalls. :/ I'm actually looking forward to my yoga tomorrow, my body really does need it. This week has been fun, but I can tell that I really worked it good. I know that I just need to make a stack of my yoga workouts, and just start doing them one at a time. I'm for sure doing Eion tomorrow.

Thelma, Great job with your workouts, and staying as active as you can. The prep just makes one not want to do those procedures. One of my girlfriends had colon cancer, she has been fine for a few years. She has to go through those preps every year now. She was doing that once a month. Not sure if Eoin has those hip openers on line, some of the titles just say blissology on them.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a fun combo. I did Cathe Live Cardio Kickbox Mashup followed by Cathe Live Birthday Blast Workout, which is a pretty moderate metabolic workout. I hadn’t planned on doing a metabolic workout today, but once I started the first workout, I just felt like tacking one on, so I did. We’ll see what happens tomorrow. :)

Thelma, I hope everything goes well for you today. You may feel a little low energy today and tomorrow, but hopefully by Saturday you will be back up to speed. We finally got a little rain last night, but it wasn’t enough to turn off the sprinklers. But the temperature has been in the 70s and low 80s and just wonderful. Sunshine and 90s return this weekend. We are a bit away from feeling fall here yet, but hopefully in a month we will feel it.

Laurie, love the sound of that workout. I really am enjoying the fact Cathe has started adding core work throughout her workouts more and not just putting a big chunk of core work at the end. While I don’t mind core work necessarily, the repetition of all those moves on the mat start driving me crazy after awhile. B) Come to find out, the Peloton app failire was global, so at least it wasn’t just me! Thankfully I wasn’t in the middle of a workout when it happened. I always get irrationally frustrated when that happens. :D:#

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Thursday had to be kept lite due to how tired I was. Gina B 2500 Steps, Walking Outdoors, Gina B 2700 Steps. I actually did my first workout before the procedure. It was a beginner's workout, which was all I could handle.

My procedure went well, and everything was normal. Thank God I won't have to repeat it for another ten years. I got up at 4:15 to start drinking the last two liters of the solution, which was an hour earlier than recommended. This was a good call because it took me longer to drink it.
Everyone at the endoscopy clinic was very nice, although as I was about to get wheeled into the procedure room a guy was going postal screaming at the staff. I couldn't see him at first, but once my nurse took me out of the prep area, I saw the man. He was wearing scrubs, so I knew then he worked there. I think he was screaming about moving a bed that was left in the hallway. My nurse told another nurse that they needed to do something about that man, which told me that wasn't the first time he'd gone postal like that. I was shocked and horrified when the angry man walked into my procedure room and started talking to me. He was the anesthesiologist! He spoke to me very nicely and if I hadn't seen/heard him screaming, I would've never known it was him.

I felt like I got a drive through procedure because there was no recovery period or juice and crackers. I was told to get dressed right as soon as they woke me up. There were no wheelchairs to wheel the patients out of the facility either. I was very groggy when I finished getting dressed and a nurse held my arm and walked me out the door to the car. DH said that I would've definitely failed the "walk in a straight line" DUI test! LOL

I was pretty much a zombie after the procedure, and I took a three-hour nap after I had something to eat.

Laurie, that workout sounds like something I would love too.
The prep work wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I think it's because the process I followed had an extra step that I think helped. Drinking the stuff wasn't fun but I managed to drink every drop of the 4 liters. I can't believe your friend had to do monthly colonoscopies! Thank God she is OK now.

Laurel, Great workouts. I wanted to do a kickboxing workout on Thursday, but my body couldn't move too much! LOL

I was definitely low energy on Thursday. I hope Friday will be a more energetic day.

I'm glad you finally got some rain. It rained pretty good toward the end of the day here for about one hour, then again at about 10PM. No more rain for us until possibly the end of next week.

    Have a great weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Cathe Live Core-centric Strength and Conditioning followed by a 45 minute spin. The Cathe Live workout was from last week, and was absolutely fantastic. I will definitely do that one again.

Thelma, I am so glad your procedure went well but yikes on the screaming anesthesiologist! That is so not good and unspeakably unprofessional. I think by that time I might have been happy to have been pushed out the door, but, seriously that was not the right thing for them to do either. I can’t believe you even attempted a workout yesterday. Hopefully you start feeling better today.

    Enjoy the weekend!

Hi Ladies, I hope you had a nice weekend. Ours was busy as always with chores around the house.

We had beautiful weather. I found out that we've been having temps below normal, which explain the cooler temps we've been having.

My workouts on Friday were Walking Outdoors, Gentle Flow Yoga, and Jessica Smith 1 Mile Lower Body Circuit.
    Saturday Walking Outdoors.
Sunday Walking Outdoors and RWH - Lift It Hit It Back, Biceps & Shoulders.

    Laurel, great workouts on Friday!

The anesthesiologist was definitely unprofessional. I wonder if they put up with him because they can't get anyone else. It's a huge liability for them not to have wheelchairs. I am sure they would get sued if a patient fell while walking out after a procedure. Medical care around here isn't really the best.

    Have a great week!

    Morning Ladies,

Sorry about Friday, time just got away from me. I don't really enjoy busy Friday's like that. I did manage to get in a stretch with Eoin. I decided to do the Magically Hips, and of course that was perfect. On Saturday DH and I went for a long walk, Sunday was my "longer workout" so I did 4 Day Split Kickboxing. Thought I would get some of the leg work out of the way. :D This morning was 4DS Chest/Back, and then I followed that up with RAW Cardio Finisher.

Laurel, Love all the workouts! Sounds like you really enjoyed the Core-centric workout. I think that I'm the same way with core work. Sometimes it feels like it will never end, so having it spaced throughout the workout helps. Then I don't even notice it, and I'm happy that I don't have to do a specific workout just for that.

Thelma, Great job with the workouts! I can't believe that you had that experience after and before your procedure. I know that if they didn't let me relax and eat something afterward. I wouldn't have realized that I actually had gotten into the car. My DH said that the doctor had been in to talk to me, but I don't remember him being there at all. Kind of scared me a little. They didn't have wheelchairs for us either, but DH was with me.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Ours was nice. Saturday was a blend of chores and errands, but it felt like a nicely productive day without being brutal. Yesterday was spent of the golf course. The weather was warm but not hot both days which was wonderful.

For workouts, I did Jessica’s Fast Walk from her new Walk a 5K DVD, followed by 45 minutes of yoga. Yesterday was RWH LIHI Chest, Shoulders and Triceps followed by a 45 minute spin. And today was RWH LIHI Back, Shoulders and Biceps followed by Cathe Live Cardio HiiT plus Core.

Thelma, great workouts. We are back in the 90s for a few days, but we are supposed to be in the 80s the bulk of the week with lows in the 60s. Those night time temperatures have me feeling happy. :) I am sorry your medical care isn’t great. Ours isn’t too bad in Huntsville but it is in large part because of the poor medical care in the state that we wouldn’t live anywhere else in Alabama than Huntsville. I had always heard things about healthcare in the rural south being bad, but I had no idea how bad until we got here. I mean a lot of counties barely have a clinic.

Laurie, great workouts. I still love that 4DS Kickboxing workout. I modify the low end lunges these days by not using the platform and lifting up from the floor (I think it is just as effective to lower into the lunge from a standing position and my knees are much happier about it), but aside from that move, I really enjoy the leg work as well. It seems to fly by for me.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Monday were Gina B 2500 Steps, Gentle Flow Yoga, Walking Outdoors and RWH Lift it HiiT it Legs.

We had a very cloudy day with a high of 80 degrees. We also had 2% chances of precipitation and we got a good amount of rain. We were not expecting rain at all but are thankful for it.

Laurie, great workouts! The hips workout sounds wonderful! I looked for it in youtube but he doesn't offer it for free.

I had no idea that colonoscopy facility would be like that. I would never go back there. Thankfully I don't need a colonoscopy for another ten years! The doctor is wonderful though.
I had DH stop at a Dunkin Donuts to get me coffee and a breakfast sandwich. I wasn't hungry but I needed to eat.
You must've been pretty sedated still if you don't remember talking to the doctor! I do remember the doctor talking to me. DH wasn't allowed inside.

Laurel, glad you had a nice weekend! Great job with your workouts! I'm really enjoying the RWH workouts!

I hope the humidity there isn't too bad now that you're back in the 90's. The night temps are definitely great.
I knew that medical care wasn't good in these rural areas. We have to travel over an hour to Atlanta or at least 45 minutes south of here for good medical care.
I do like my primary care nurse. She is a good listener and doesn't waste any time ordering tests. She tries to get to the bottom of whatever the patient's issue is. I'm glad you have a fairly good medical system in Huntsville!

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

We are having beautiful weather this week. Of course that is suppose to change by the end of the week.
We are going up to visit my Mom on Friday, and actually need to rent a truck since we where bringing a couch up there. DH's truck decided that it will probably be giving up. He and his buddy looked at it yesterday, and it needs a new head gasket. We will probably be buying a used truck that we can use for towing his car. Since he is retired, we don't need a vehicle that needs to have good gas mileage for his running around.

This morning's workout was a good one, I did GHUTV Shoulders, Core and Calves. I had enough time, so I added on a GHUTV 10-Minute Full Body HIIT Workout.

Laurel, Taking advantage of the weather, and getting in some golf and errands sounds nice. Great job with the workouts! I have had to do the same thing with that leg move. My knee just doesn't cooperate with some of those moves. I know that forward lunges are something that I need to modify also. I really tried to go way heavier than I normally do in these workouts also. I actually was surprised at the weight that I managed to use. Are you going to include a full body workout into this week? I think that I will probably do that, since the workouts are only 4 days for me. I see that you are Thelma are doing the RWH workouts.

Thelma, Love the workouts! Our clinic has us going in for colonoscopies every 5 years. I was surprised about that when I had mine done. DH just had his, and they said the same thing. Our friends that moved to FL still have their doctors up here. They come back here when they have appointments. Of course they schedule them for a certain time block. I had mine later in the day, so we went out to eat afterwards. :)

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was RWH LIHI Legs, and I did the premix that includes the core work throughout. I followed it with a 30 minute spin, 20 minutes of yoga and a nice walk. After being in the 90s the last couple of days, we are going to be in the low 80s today and the 70s tomorrow! I am looking forward to that, even for a day. And hopefully we’ll get rain.

Thelma, great workouts. I have really enjoyed the RWH workouts this week as well. But my muscles are feeling them for sure! The humidity has been pretty high even with the lack of rain, but that is pretty normal for August. But I think that will start changing in a few weeks as the days continue to get shorter. I am just glad you are close enough to Atlanta for good medical care if you need it.

Laurie, great workouts. I love the pacing of the 4DS workouts and find I can go pretty heavy with a lot of the moves. I had toyed with doing the Gym Style workouts for the second half of the week, but I am actually leaning towards doing the three Slow and Heavy workouts over the next three days. :o Why? No clue. :D But they are on my mind for some reason. But I know my body would not like the faster pace of Gym Styles right now after doing these RWH workouts. But if I manage to squeeze in Slow and Heavy, next week will be a solid recovery week for me. :) If I hadn’t front loaded my upper body work this week to accommodate another series of split sets, though, I probably would be doing what you are doing….adding a total body workout at the end of the week.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Tuesday were Gina B Dance Cardio,
Walking Outdoors and Lift It Hit It Chest, Triceps, and Shoulders. Loved this RWH workout. My arms where pretty tired after the workout.

We had a very cloudy day with a high of 77. It felt cooler than that though. Tomorrow more of the same and maybe some rain. This week wasn't supposed to be rainy!

Laurie, great workouts! I'm glad you're having nice weather and that you're going to visit your mom. What a bummer with your DH's truck. I hope you are able to find a good truck.

Interesting that your clinic has you going for colonoscopies every five years! Even in MA it's every 10 years. I wouldn't mind going every 5 years. I think 10 years is way too long of a wait.

Do your friends no like the doctors in FL or is it that for a colonoscopy they do the 10-year intervals? We were going to go out to lunch to one restaurant we like practically next door to the clinic, but the food I wanted was going to be too heavy for my stomach. Bread was something they said I could eat, hence the breakfast sandwich! LOL

Laurel, great workouts! Wow! You're finally going to have cooler temps in the daytime! I know you're going to be enjoying those temps. I felt a chill in the air again this afternoon.

I am feeling the RWH workouts too but in a good way. Sorry you've been having such high humidity there. Temps are definitely getting cooler here.
It really is a pain to have to drive south for better medical care, but sometimes it is necessary.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning my workout was the 4 Day Spilt Biceps & Triceps. I also tacked on the RAW Stretch Finisher.

Laurel, I really like that premix with the core work mixed into the leg work. Great job with all of your workouts. I can see why you would need to take it down for the next week if you do the Slow & Heavy. I'm sure it will give you a great week of workouts though. I should have pulled out the Pure Strength, now that I think about it. I could have spilt the standing and floor work into two days. Next time.. I have not done a PHA workout in a while, so I think that will be my Friday workout before we head up to my parents.

Thelma, Awesome job on the workouts! It didn't take long for DH to find a new truck. He is very happy, but now we have to figure out how to fit the new truck in the garage. The newer truck is bigger, but it will stay in better condition not being outside. It will fit our garage, but he will need to move some things around. Our friends in FL wanted to keep their current doctors. One of the things that they had heard was the healthcare was not as good as what we have around here. Of course they both worked for a large healthcare facility in this area. ;) In fact she still works there, but does it remote. I don't blame you for wanting the breakfast sandwich. I love breakfast, it can be eaten any time of the day. :D

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Slow and Heavy Chest and Back followed by Cathe Live 40/20 Low Impact HiiT. I was surprised how strong I felt during that Slow and Heavy workout, especially since doing LIHI earlier this week! So far I am glad I made that choice. But if I fall asleep during dinner tonight, I might change my mind. :D;)

Thelma, great workouts. That LIHI workout absolutely kills my arms. I still don’t know how I managed to play golf on Sunday after doing it. Anyhow, we have your cooler temperatures today! I just went outside to water plants and it felt a little chilly in my tank top. Too bad it is just for a day, but at least we have it for a day.

Laurie, great workout! Wow on the new truck!! That was very fast. Hopefully he can get it tucked into the garage relatively soon. I always forget about Pure Strength during these weeks, even when I have it written down! :s I still love that series.

So with that being said, I am already thinking about ‘what comes next?’ I am not looking to start a new rotation until mid-October. DH and I have a trip planned for the first two weeks of October, and this rotation we are currently doing doesn’t end until mid-September. So I will probably do two weeks of ‘whatever’ at the end of this rotation, go on vacation, and then come back and start a new rotation. But one of the things I am toying with is doing a short, 4 week rotation that is more structured than what we have been doing. I am thinking of four weeks in the format that Laurie is doing this week. That would mean splits sets and a total body workout in each week. I am thinking of doing a different series of split sets and a different total body workout each week, so there would still be variety in workouts, but the style of workouts would be the same for four weeks. Then after that, I am thinking of a good holiday-friendly rotation that would focus more on shorter strength workouts like circuits, one body part, etc for six or seven weeks.

Anyhow, just thought I would toss that out there. All feedback is welcome. And if none of this sounds good, let me know. I love doing rotations together because it keeps me accountable and gives me great ideas of workouts, so I am good going in another direction.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Wednesday were Gentle Flow Yoga, Walking Outdoors and XT Cardio Leg Blast Rounds 1-6 Premix.

I felt really tired all day long, so I had to dial down my workouts, but I still did pretty good. I did have to take a nap in the middle of the afternoon.

We had mostly sunny day with a high of 77. We are supposed to have thunderstorms and some rain on Thursday and Friday.

    Laurie, great workouts!
I'm so glad your DH found himself truck so soon! I'm sure you'll make that truck fit in the garage.

FL is in the south, so I guess it doesn't have good healthcare either. I would've expected FL to have better healthcare though. I had thought of keeping my doctors in MA, but there is no way I'm going to be flying there for that. I'll just have to get used to long drives to find better healthcare, than in rural Blue Ridge.

Laurel, great workouts! I'm glad you felt strong for your strength training! I bet you didn't fall asleep during dinner! LOL

I agree about the LIHI workout killing the arms. It is really good though. I may do the circuit workouts from that series next week.
I'm glad you got to enjoy cooler temps and that you felt some of the chill I've been feeling.

I LOVE what you're thinking of for the next rotation. I've been thinking that I needed exactly what you're describing. My body definitely likes the shorter workouts and I love the split sets, but I feel that I need a full body workout that week.

    See you tomorrow

    Morning Ladies,

This morning's workout was of course kickboxing, and I did GHUTV Kickboxing & Core. Fun workout.

Laurel, Great job with the workouts! I did LOL about the falling asleep during dinner. :D I think your choices for the next rotation sound really good. Concentrating on spilts is something that I have been thinking about doing. I would do the first week 2 upper, 1 lower, 1 total body and then the next week 2 lower, 1 upper, 1 total body and then repeat those two weeks. Then the other days would be for cardio/hiit, core and stretching. I just have to decide what workouts I want to do, but I think that I will concentrate on one series for weights during that four weeks. The total body would be from any series. Mostly saving the metabolic and circuit for the rotation that you mentioned doing afterward.

Thelma, Nice workouts! Glad that you where able to get your workouts in despite being tired. I'm sure that mostly my friends just wanted to keep their doctors here. ;) Not only did he get a truck right away, but it appears that we will be getting the floor of our garage coated also. He was talking about that this morning, since we have to do some rearranging of our garage. :) The salt really does a number on the concrete. We do have some really bad pitting from it.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Slow and Heavy Legs and Shoulders followed by a 30 minute spin and 20 minutes of Pilates. That S&H workout turned my legs into jello. :o I went for a walk after my workout because it is so beautiful, and that seemed to help ease them up a bit. But I am going to be feeling this workout later today and tomorrow for sure.

I am so glad you both enjoy the sound of the next rotation (or two). I was thinking about the Holiday Rotation (the one after split sets) a bit during my workout this morning, and I am thinking one week each of circuits/metabolic, one body part, and upper/lower for two or three rounds (6-9 week), with each week being our choice on heavy or light, long or short, etc. Let me know what you think!

Thelma, great workouts. I am sorry you were feeling so tired. It could be a side-effect of this week, especially jumping into really intense workouts like the LIHI series after a relatively light week last week. Just keep listening to your body and give it the rest it needs. I have mentally penciled in the RWH circuits for the last week of our rotation, but we’ll see if I wait that long. I love the Upper Body Circuit workout. The Lower Body Circuit….is tough. :# And I stayed awake for dinner! Barely. ;)

Laurie, great workout. I didn’t fall asleep during dinner, but I did sleep through the night which is rare for me. So S&H is good for something. :D I love your plan for the split sets rotation. I was thinking today that I am going to ‘match up’ series (loosely) for at least three weeks doing Gym Styles and Muscle Max one week, Pure Strength Series and Maximum Intensity Strength one week, STS workouts (don’t know which Mesocycle yet) and STS Total Body one week, and then for the fourth week…..I don’t know. I am leaning towards a set of heavy workouts Cathe did for Cathe Live during the pandemic. I also usually toss is a lighter/shorter lower body workout each week, and then have one day that is just cardio and stretch. Of course, this could all change in two months! :) And yay for coating the garage floor. I wish we had done that here before moving in.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Thursday were Gina B 2700 Steps, Walking Outdoors and XT Burn Sets Chest, Back, Shoulders. I've enjoyed this week's workouts tremendously!

Another partly sunny day with a high of 77. No rain. Maybe on Friday.

Laurie, great workout! You can't go wrong with a kickboxing workout!

I don't blame your friends for wanting to keep their doctor. I wish I could've kept mine! Great idea to get the garage coated before the winter! I hope your mom is doing well! How is your dad doing?

Laurel, fantastic workout combo! Walking is always a good idea after a leg workout! I knew you would stay awake during dinnertime! LOL

The holiday rotation format sounds really good too! I can't believe we only have a month left on this rotation. I will do some of my favorite weeks from this rotation during the time we have before starting the next rotation. I will definitely repeat this week!

It could be that my body is feeling tired because this has been a harder workout week.
The RWH circuit workouts are in the recommended workouts for that last rotation week, so I'll save them for that week!

    Have a great weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Slow and Heavy Triceps and Biceps followed by Rockout Knockout. I am really glad I threw those Slow and Heavy workouts in this week. For whatever reason, they really appealed to me this week.

Thelma, great workouts. This week is, hands down, my favorite style of pure strength training. I have really enjoyed it. But I know I can’t sustain it for much more than the four weeks we have planned this fall without a break before I start feeling it in not a good way. You can always do RWH circuits both next week and the last week. :D;) Anyhow, we have a little light rain today but nothing to write home about. So while the temperatures are a huge improvement to early summer, we remain pretty dry.

Laurie, hope your trip goes well.

    Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Ladies, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Ours was busy as always. We had pet spa weekend. The dogs were bathed, and all their beds, blankets and towels were washed. The cats got pawdicures and the chickens got a booty bath.
Our refrigerator didn't get fully fixed a few weeks ago. We have a Samsung fridge and apparently, they are famous for having ice maker issues. The hitting element that keeps the drain from freezing was badly designed and it actually freezes! The heating element freezes! DH had to take the fridge apart again and I got to wash everything again. Even though DH took the back wall of the fridge apart we still couldn't get to the actual drain hole because it's behind a non-removable part.

We took our food to a friend's house who happens to be on vacation and we're cat sitting for her. Talk about good timing! DH unplugged the fridge on Saturday morning and the ice in the drain finally melted Sunday morning. We think we're good for a while now. This problem happened in 2020, so it took two years to fail again. We hope this fix will work again for a few more years.

We had a pretty rainy weekend. It rained Friday and Saturday in the early evening, Saturday night and Sunday morning. I don't know how much rain we got but it was a lot.

My workouts on Friday were Walking Outdoors, Gentle Flow Yoga and
    XT Burn Sets Bi's, Tri's premix 2.
Saturday: Walking Outdoors and Gina B 4000 Steps.
Sunday: Walking Outdoors and ICE Boot Camp Circuit.

Laurel, great workouts on Friday! Last week was really a fun workout week! I decided the save the RWH circuit workouts for the end of the rotation.
I hope you got some of the rain we got. I think our highest temp this weekend was 77 and not a warm 77.

Laurie, I hope you had a good visit with your mom.

    Have a great week!

    Morning Ladies,

We had a very nice weekend visiting my Mom. Dad was in a good mood, and looked better than the last time I saw him. We went to my Aunt and Uncles 60th wedding anniversary. So we where able to visit with some cousins, and one of my Aunts. The truck we rented was a very comfortable truck, and it was tough to have DH bring it back today. Hopefully he will be able to get his new truck today. The bank has been slow to get all the paperwork done. They had him fill out the information online, but then said that they where unable to pull the pdf's that he attached. Why have people fill these things out online if it doesn't work. :o

No workouts for me, but Rocket and I did get in a walk before we went to visit my Dad on Saturday. Sunday I was just to tired after we got back, so nixed any workout. This morning was PHA 2! Had a lot of fun with that one.

Laurel, Great job with all the workouts! Glad to hear that the S&H workouts where enjoyable. Like the sound of your workout for those 4 weeks. I also may change my mind, it will be what appeals to me at the timeframe. I know that this week is going to be fun, since my workouts are all ones that I really enjoy or have not done in a while. Usually the ones that I have not done in a while, make me happy that I did them again.

Thelma, Love the sound of all the animals getting pampered. Sorry to hear about your fridge, but hopefully your DH will have it working properly. Nice that you had your friends fridge to put your food into while yours is out. Great job on your workouts! I love that bootcamp workout.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Ours was cool and rainy, which was a nice change. Saturday was nice enough for us to do some yard work (and discover we have grubs in our grass. Sigh.). We are also back to the time of year we start getting hummingbirds in the garage, so we spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get one little guy out….but we did. DH installed a keypad for the garage door later that day so when we are doing yard work, we can open and close it easier. Anyhow, yesterday I spent the entire day deep cleaning the house. DH spent the day in the attic fixing my old spin cycle and his Max Trainer. I think he was avoiding me to get out of cleaning. :D

For my workouts, on Saturday I did a Jessica Smith 4 Mile Walk, Peloton Pilates and yoga. Yesterday was Cathe Live Low Impact Conditioning Express and a 45 minute spin. And today was a 30 minute spin and Cathe Live Build It Burn It Bootcamp. I am feeling pretty tired today after that cleaning yesterday, but the workouts helped…..thankfully.

Thelma, great workouts. And I love the sound of your pet spa weekend. I bet your pets loved it too. Oh how I know what you are going through with your Samsung ice machine! We had issues with ours in Florida and here—two different refrigerators of course. Ours here got so bad, it was freezing up weekly. Finally, we got a Samsung repairman in (he came from Atlanta) and within 15 minutes….it was fixed! He knew exactly what the issue was and how to fix it. That was probably two years ago now, and no problems. But, boy, I was swearing up and down during that two years it wasn’t working that I would never own Samsung again. I really hope you found a fix because I know how frustrating that is.

Laurie, I am so glad you enjoyed the weekend and that your dad seems to be doing well. Hopefully you enjoy your new truck as much as the rental. I find on-line forms more annoying than they are worth to be honest. Great workout this morning! I love that one. I haven’t mapped out this week’s workouts yet, and that always makes for a good week. Some weeks it is just nice to do what you feel like in the moment you hit ‘play’, especially after a pretty structured week last week.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Monday had to be kept to cardio because my left knee is hurting. I was going to do Slide & Glide so I'm OK with the cardio I did today. Gina B Pop Mix, Walking Outdoors x2 and Jessica Smith Low Impact Hiit.

We had a beautiful day here, but I had to go downtown BR to meet my friends for lunch and it was muggy there. We are so lucky to live on this little ridge that always gets a nice cool breeze! We got some unexpected rain tonight. It didn't last long but it sounded like it was a lot.

Laurie, I'm so glad you had a great weekend with your family and most importantly that your parents are doing well. I hope your DH gets his new truck soon. I can't stand it when places have you fill out online forms and once at their office, they have you fill them out manually.
Great job with that PHA2 workout!

Little Louie was Very happy after his bath. Chico was shivering! The cats are good about their pawdicures because they get treats. I don't know that the chickens like their booty bath but it's necessary.

Laurel, I'm so glad you got the same cool and rainy weather we had. Our weatherman said we are going to be in a rainy pattern and something today about this year's non-existing hurricane season. I hadn't even realized we hadn't had any hurricanes!

Sorry you had to get a hummingbird out of your garage! I always worry about birds getting stuck in there for long periods of time. I think we had a wren spend the night in the garage once.
Too funny about your DH 'fixing' stuff in the attic to avoid helping you with deep cleaning! My chickens would love those grubs in your grass! LOL

    Great workouts!

I didn't realize your problem refrigerator is also a Samsung! We inherited all Samsung kitchen and laundry appliances. I googled the problem we were having and found a YouTube video. The part we needed two years ago was 79 cents! We had ice under our produce drawers! If we have to get a new fridge it won't be a Samsung! Thankfully the other appliances have been good so far. The refrigerator issue is definitely frustrating. At least it's something that can be fixed.

    See you tomorrow.

    Morning Ladies,

This morning's workout was GHUTV Bodyweight Cross Training – Total Body Strength and HIIT. Nice change of pace with all bodyweight today.

DH picked up his new truck yesterday, and it is pretty. I have not driven it yet, but sat in the drivers seat, and it is comfy.

Laurel, Great job with all your workouts! We had grubs a few years ago. That's when we had two cranes, and the skunks in our yard because they where eating the grubs. We had a lawn service out to treat our lawn, and we have not had any problems since then. This year our lawn looks good, and we don't have any empty patches of grass. LOL about your DH fixing things to avoid the housework. Mine just goes into the garage. :D Hope that you are able to avoid getting anymore humming birds in your garage. We have only had that happen to us once, and it was on a really cold day. DH did mention to the lady that was processing his application, about his experience with this process. She of course just said that it shouldn't have happened. Then change the process!!!

Thelma, Great job with your workout, and adjusting it to suit your body. Sorry to hear that you knee is not happy. I know all to well how that feels. I hope that your DH is able to find a fix for your fridge. That has to be no fun to deal with.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 60 minute spin, 5 minutes of Peloton core work and some yoga. And a nice walk outside. B) It is cloudy but very pleasant outside today. These last couple of weeks are so much more what I expect from an Alabama summer…..in a very good way. :)

Thelma, great workouts. I am sorry your knee is bothering you. Hopefully it is something that heals up quickly. Our humidity is very high, so I wish I had your ridge too! But since the temperatures are better, it is fairly tolerable expect when working outside or working out. I sweat buckets. :# We have had problems with other Samsung appliances, including a dishwasher and a washing machine. But, aside from the dishwasher, I find I keep returning to Samsung because I simply like their appliances the best. But it still annoys me that nobody makes appliances that are expected to last more than a few years.

Laurie, great workout. I hope you like the truck and am glad it is at least comfortable. We treated for the grubs right away and, thankfully, caught them relatively early. But I am trying to convince DH to hire a lawn service again just for treating for weeds and pests and things. We took over doing it on our own two years ago after our last service sprayed the wrong chemicals on our grass and killed it. That was not good. But we are not really consistently winning the battle against the pests and, to some degree the weeds. And given the investment of money and time it is taking…..I am willing to let somebody do it again for awhile. How much better this all would be if the builder just let us have the right grass for Alabama! So ridiculous.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Tuesday were Gina B's 3000 Steps, Walking Outdoors x2 and Jessica Smith Total Body Circuit I.

My knee felt almost 100% better today, so I was able to more workout wise. I was very careful though.

Laurie, great workouts! Congrats on the new truck! I think the days of trucks being uncomfortable are over. Thank goodness for that!

I'm glad I was able to adjust my workouts when the other day too. We hope DH managed to fix the fridge too. We'll know in a few weeks if it worked or not.

Laurel, great workout! I'm glad you're able to enjoy your walks again! The weather has been quite pleasant here lately too.

I think I'd caused myself a muscle imbalance, which has been the story of my life with my left leg since 1999. I massaged my quads very well yesterday to release that tension and it work.

Yard work is always a sweaty job, but you may sweat more than others. Sounds like we've had luck with our other Samsung appliances! The only appliances we've had to buy were a washer and dryer for our house in MA. The ones we have now came with the house and were fairly new since this was the previous owners' vacation home.
I still can't get over that your builder didn't plant the right grass for Alabama!

    See you tomorrow!
