    Morning Ladies,

This morning I saw crocus and daffodils blooming. We are heading into colder weather by the end of the week. This morning was in the 50's, and that was so nice to walk with just a hoodie for warmth. My workout this morning was RAW Box & Drills & Deadbug Challenge. The deadbug was only 5 min. long, but dang it was a tough one.

Laurel, Great job on all those workouts! We do have to take advantage of the nice weather when we have it, so glad that you where able to get that walk in. Cleaning out the spice cabinet could be a daunting task. :D Very nice that you where able to enjoy some reading time also. I agree that traveling with babies is tough. They wouldn't be able to enjoy themselves as much either. Of course, DH said that we are owed a really nice dinner after they return. :D I found a few recipes, and I think that I will freeze the ham in 2 cup vacuum packs. Most of the recipes required around that qty.

Thelma, Awesome job with all those workouts! That is a very lengthy workout, can't say that I have done one that long in a while either. That is what we found with the ham also, they where all very large. DH and I really don't buy ham, it just is always to much for just the two of us. I do love it though. My boss changed my 1 on 1 with him to Thursday, so I will have to chat with him sometime today in between all his meetings. :D

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a fun 45 minute spin, STS Disc 17/Legs and XTrain Core 2. And a nice walk in the sunshine. B)

Thelma, amazing workouts! I can’t believe you did an 80 minute workout to end your workout day. :o That’s incredible. Could something have eaten your hydrangea leaves? I ask only because we have had two eaten by deer…..and one they don’t touch. So weird. But if it did get eaten, it will come back. When we were laying the pine straw and mulch, we moved one of the eaten hydrangeas into an area where the deer don’t visit, and from nothing (literally since we broke off all of the branches), it is beginning to grow. So just a thought since it looks like hydrangeas here survived that cold spell. I am waiting until May to get any flowers this year, mostly because I want DH here to help me choose them. :)

Laurie, great workout. I love deadbugs…..the kind that work the core, not the ones I find on my floor. :D Cleaning the spice cabinet was not fun. But I knew I had a number of spices past their ‘best by’ date, and while I don’t mind stretching that ‘best by’ date for several months, when it crosses into several years, I know I need to do something about it. I try to clean them out once a year, but somehow I still found stuff dated for 2019. :# When we freeze ham, we do dinner size packages and breakfast size packages because sometimes I just really crave good ole ham and eggs.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Tuesday were Walking, Yin, Tracy Steen No Repeat Low Impact Cardio Hiit and Tracy Steen Upper & Lower Supersets.

I was physically exhausted today and a little sore. I felt most of the day that my Yin class was the only thing I could handle. Eventually by mid-afternoon I pushed myself to do a low impact Tracy workout because it would be more challenging that my usual dance workout when I'm tired. I used my 1.5 lb egg weights. The workout reenergized me, and I felt capable of doing the superset workout. I've definitely gained upper body strength. I'm doing shoulder presses and biceps with heavier weights than I've ever used before. Not seriously heavy weights, but heavier by my standards. I was able to do three sets of concentration curls with 15 lb dumbbells without an assist, that is huge for me. I actually felt that I could've used a heavier weight.
Tracy did planks rows by leaning the upper body on a workout bench, those were hard! I'd never done planks like that before, so that was another huge accomplishment. I did three sets of 8 on each side.

Laurie, I'm so glad you saw crocuses and daffodils blooming! That's always such a good feeling.
Great workouts! Those deadbugs look innocent but they are really good for your abs.
I would say your DD and her DH will definitely owe you a nice dinner after they return! Your DH is going to love having the baby at your house.

I usually avoid those long workouts, but it was a brand-new workout and Tracy's fans were raving about it. I just had to try it. I'm glad I did because I feel that I would be more inclined to do her long workouts from time-to-time.
I found a tiny ham at our supermarket about two months ago. It was probably 1.5 - 2 lbs. We still have most of it! LOL. Thank goodness we have one of those food vacuums.
I hope you were able to have a chat with your boss about working from home.

    Laurel, great workouts!

I'm still in shock that I did the 80-minute workout too. I used to workout early in the morning 20 years ago, but I just can't do it anymore. My body got used to working out at the end of the day, while I was at my last job.

I think the chickens ate my hydrangea while under my husband's watch! Deer never go there, and there's another hydrangea next to it with all its leaves intact. I hope it will start to show signs of life soon. One of my Peonies buds is starting to open up. It's a beautiful fuchsia color.
Awwww! How sweet of you to wait till May so your DH can help you choose them!

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning's workout was RAW Real RAW Box & Pump 2.

My boss was good with me taking some time off and on next week. He was "do what you need to do". I'm hoping he is my boss until I retire, because I really like him. I have had way to many bosses in my career, and can probably count on one had the number that where actually good at their job.

Temps today are suppose to be in the 80's!!!

Laurel, Great job with the workouts! I'm hoping to get home and have one of those walks in the sunshine like you had yesterday. :) The spice cabinet is probably one of those chores that I avoid, but you are right, spices are not that great when they are years old. ;) I will have to do a few of the smaller portions, just for the eggs and ham. We both love that combo also, and have breakfast for dinner many times. It's just so quick and simple.

Thelma, Love the workouts! So glad to hear that you are able to have upped your weights! Nice that the workout was energizing. Don't think that I have ever done a plank row like that. I think that we will probably have the ham for a while. I did find a recipe for a soup that I can do in my slow cooker. It does have beans in it, but DH can just pick those out. He doesn't like legumes, so I have to be careful about how much and if I put those "nasty" things in our dinners. :D He always wants me to not put the beans in the chili until after he gets his portion. :D

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was STS Disc 30/Shoulders, Biceps and Triceps followed by Cathe Live Warrior Kickboxing 2. And I am headed out to mow the grass in a minute, which is always a workout for me since our mower hates me. :) My arms will hate me later for sure.

Thelma, great workouts despite being so tired. Yay for the strength increases. Sounds like you are ready for STS 2.0. I have never done plank rows like that either. Sounds challenging. I am anxious to get some flowering plants because I really miss having some color around. Usually be this time we have blooms on most of our shrubs. I don’t think they will bloom this year until autumn, if at all. I am still not convinced they are going to recover from the winter.

Laurie, great workout. I am glad your boss is so understanding about next week. I don’t understand bosses who can’t figure out that life happens and work can be managed to accommodate it. Glad this guy isn’t one of those. I can’t believe you are going to be in the 80s! Enjoy!!

If I am not here tomorrow, it is because the mower ate me. :D;)

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Wednesday were Walking, Gentle Flow Yoga and Tracy Steen No Repeat Total Body Trifecta. Another great Tracy workout. This one was 55 minutes long. The trifecta in every circuit had cardio, strength and abs. I was tired again, so I decided to save the little energy for Tracy's workout. I'm glad I did that. She is really preparing me very well for STS 2.0. I am so glad I found her because I love her workouts.

The pollen is insane here! I went out on the deck to talk to DH for a couple of minutes and I had a runny nose within seconds of being outside. It's that time of the year when DH moves his home office to the deck.

Laurie, great workout! I am so happy to hear your boss is allowing to take time off and on next week. I hope he is your boss till you retire too!

Those planks were super hard, at least for me. I'm glad you found some recipes. It really is too bad your DH doesn't like legumes because there are plenty of lentil soup recipes with ham. You can always make a quiche or a breakfast casserole. I wonder if your DH could taste the beans if you pureed them?

Laurel, great workouts! I bet your arms were complaining after you finished mowing the lawn!

LOL! I just mentioned above that Tracy is preparing me well for STS 2.0!
I still can't believe how hard our plants got hit by the winter. I guess that is why they have planting zones! I checked my hydrangea today and I don't see signs of life. We did have one or two below freezing days after the leaves came out, so maybe that was what killed it.
At least your shrubs are showing signs of life. It may take them a while to recover from the cold temps.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning's workout was P30 Perfect Pump Lower Body. I was going to do the bonus, but didn't have enough time. I wish that one of the premixes was the workout/bonus and that's it. There is one that has that, but it includes the extended stretch. I suppose I could skip the extended stretch, but I'm lazy. I was able to get a walk in yesterday, and it was busy with walkers. :D Hoping to get in another one tonight, since it will be warm again. They are saying snow on Sunday. Yep, this is our normal weather sometimes. :D

Laurel, Awesome job with the workout, and that kickboxing one sounds really good. I'm hoping that the mower didn't get you. Our grass is just starting to get green, so I'm sure that we will be mowing soon. For the most part my bosses have been really good here, but in my previous job they where not so. I had really bad anxiety with one boss I had. I was so happy when he moved onto a different job.

Thelma, Great job with the workouts! Nice that Tracy is getting you ready for STS 2.0. That is something that I'm hoping to get to also. So far so good, and I felt that I needed to get in some Cathe workouts before hand. :D Dang on that pollen, not something I'm looking forward to at all. Now that you reminded me of the lentils, I should just make myself some soup and freeze it. I tend to enjoy legumes, so have never pureed them, but that may change. :D

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I survived the lawn mowing. And so did the mower. :D Actually, it wasn’t bad at all. I realized that I tend to mow during the height of the summer, and between the heat and humidity, it feels brutal. Yesterday felt like a somewhat pleasant walk around the yard. :) That being said, I am feeling it in my arms today. Luckily I didn’t have to use them during my workout. My workout was a fun but tough 60 minute spin followed by Cathe Live Core Flow Express. I loved both workouts today.

Thelma, great workouts. I really like the sound of Tracy’s workouts. Of course, any workout with the words ‘no repeat’ in the title is a workout I know I will enjoy. I am so glad you feel like you are getting prepared for 2.0. I think it may only be a few weeks now. :) I talked to my neighbor for a long time yesterday about our dead plants. He’s an Alabama native, and he is a bit confused by what is going on with them as well. Since he is in his 70s and grew up on a farm, I kind of take that as saying this is a pretty unusual situation for here. But he remains hopeful his plants are still alive as well. And I agree on the pollen! I wiped down our outside table yesterday and it was fully yellow. It had only been a few days since I had wiped it down. :o

Laurie, great workout! I love that one, but I have to agree with the premix options not including the regular stretch. She did that with the cardio combos as well. I have a tendency to do about half the extended stretch if I don’t have time. That part of the stretch routine focuses more on the lower body which is where I seem to always need my stretches. I am glad you were able to get out and enjoy the warm weather yesterday. Hopefully if you get snow, it is not too much, wet, and gone quickly allowing things to turn green from it.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Thursday were Walking, Gina B. Low Impact Cardio and Tracy Steen Lower Body. This leg workout had 3 circuits with two lower body exercises and a cardio segment, each set repeated 3 times. There were step ups holding 12.5 lb. dumbbells. I used 4 risers plus the platform. I think that's about 12 inches. I never do step ups with such high platform, but I'm more willing to challenge myself with Tracy. It was a great challenge!

I had to give my upper body a break. I was definitely feeling upper body soreness.

I woke up with a sinus pressure headache. I eventually took an Aleve and I felt better. I doubt the little bit of rain we got this afternoon did much for the pollen.

Laurie, great workout! I love the premixes with the added ab workout too. Good job adding a walk to your day! Snow on Sunday! I hope your forecast is wrong.
I hope you're able to sneak some legumes into your DH's diet! :) I've read that some parents do things like that for their picky eaters!

Laurel, I'm so glad you survived the lawn mowing! I can see why it wasn't too bad mowing the lawn at this time of the year when it's not hot and humid.
    Great workout!

I think the no repeat workouts are perfect when it comes to lengthy workouts. I am sure you would love Tracy's workouts. I definitely needed a break from Cathe's workouts and now I'm hooked on Tracy's workouts. Part of me can't wait to do the STS2.0 program. The other part doesn't want to stop doing Tracy's workouts.

I hope your neighbor is right about the plants being alive! There's no wiping things down outdoor furniture at this time of the year. You have to hose them down!

Have you seen your hummingbirds this week? I've not seen one at all during at least the last 3-4 days. They're probably feeding from the flowers around here.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning's workout was TaeBo Basics #12. It was a lot of fun working out with Billy again, and I think that I need to slip his workouts into my rotations a bit more. I was able to get another walk in. Everyone in the neighborhood had to be out walking last night. :D

Laurel, So glad to hear that your mowing experience was not so bad. :D Great job with the workouts also. I'm going to be trying those Perfect Pump again next week, and I think that I will just do the one with the bonus and then see if I have the time. Of course I could get my butt down in the workout room earlier on that day just so I can do that. :D Sorry to hear that your plants are not coming back the way they should. I'm looking at getting some fertilizer for some of my plants. I have one hydrangea that leaves out really nice, but has not had blooms in two years. I had to read up on some things that I can do to get it to bloom. I think that a lot of my plants can probably use some type of boost. :D

Thelma, Awesome job with the workouts! Glad to hear that you are pushing yourself with the Tracey workouts. If you are feeling great doing her workouts, then continue until you feel you need the change. I do it all the time, and it has helped me with just working out. I had a RAW workout scheduled for today, but really wanted to do something else. I'm so glad that I remembered Billy, and how much I enjoyed his workouts. It also is nice to see that he is still putting out some workouts on youtube. They did push the snow to Monday, but Sunday is rain/snow mix. :p

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Flex Train followed by Cathe Live Jabs and Kicks. I was feeling pretty worn out this morning but the workout really helped.

Thelma, great workouts. That is amazing about the platform height. A 12” platform is tough! I agree with Laurie about sticking with Tracy as long as you want. There will come a time when you are looking for a change, and STS 2.0 will be there for you. For me, I am considering finishing this STS rotation before moving on since, by the time we get the DVDs, I will only have a few weeks left. So do what feels right for you. I hope your headache is better. I ended up taking some sinus medication yesterday because of a pretty consistent headache for a few days now. That helped a bit. This time of year kills my head.

Laurie, great workout. Billy has such great energy. I had a completely different workout planned today as well….I was going to attempt Cathe’s original Body Max workout. But when I got up, I knew I just didn’t have it in me to do step choreography that I probably haven’t done in 10 years. The workout I did was much better! Glad you were able to get another walk in to enjoy the weather. We feed out outdoor flowering bushes a few times each summer. I don’t know if it helps them bloom, but they do seem to grow more after we feed them. We learned last summer that the hibiscus we have definitely will not bloom without regular feeding. Such a finicky hibiscus, but it has survived in the house all winter, and has been blooming. :)

    Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Ladies, I hope you had a great weekend. Ours was insanely busy and I am tired! Saturday was dog spa day, which meant bathing 3 little dogs and washing all their blankets, towels and beds. I got myself a new spray mop that allows me to use my own cleaning solution. I actually enjoyed moping my floors! I've been washing my floors the hard way! I also made us dinner.
I finally got time to do some gardening on Saturday. One of my butterfly bushes is definitely dead. I had DH cut it back all the way down to the base, just to see if something grows out of there. The other butterfly bush is alive at the base, but from there up is dead, so it also was cut down to the base. My Peonies are doing great. I tried a new chicken recipe for dinner, and it was a big hit.

We had a rainy Friday and it also poured early Sunday morning. This weekend gave us another inch of rain.

My workouts on Friday were Gentle Flow Yoga, Tracy Steen Upper Body Strength,
Tracy Steen No Jumping, All Standing Cardio HIIT and Gina B Dance Cardio.
Saturday - Walking and Tracy Steen No Repeat Cardio Hiit.
Sunday - Walking and Tracy Steen No Repeat Total Body. I was feeling tired, so I chose an easy workout.

Laurie, I know you're loving the TaeBo workouts. I used to love those workouts! Great job getting a walk in!

I will definitely stick with Tracy's workouts until we start doing STS 2.0, which is going to be soon!
I am glad you remembered Billy's workouts too. It really is nice that he still putting out some workouts on YT. Did you end up getting snow?
I can't wait to hear all about your babysitting adventures!

Laurel, great workouts! It's always great when workouts perk us up!

Thanks so much on the 12" platform! I normally wouldn't use such high step, but I'm on a "challenge myself" kick so I went for it because Tracy was just doing step ups.
I want to start STS 2.0 when you're ready to start. I love it when we do the same rotations! I will stick with Stacy for now, but I know I will go back to her when I need a break from Cathe's workouts. I can't believe how many workouts this STS 2.0 program has! I just read that the online user guide has printable workout cards so we can log our weight selections.

My headache is gone thankfully. I hope yours is gone too!

    Have a great week!

    Morning Ladies,

Well we are having snow as I type this message. :o Not a lot, but it is only 30 deg. So far babysitting is going fairly well. The first night he slept through the night, probably because it was a very warm evening. Last night was cold, so he did wake up at about 1am, and I just fed him and put him back in bed. He was moving around for a few minutes, and then settled down to sleep again. He really is a very good boy. This morning DH was taking care of him while I went off to work. Apparently he managed to get him back to sleep, so I think Grandpa can handle the baby. My youngest is coming over this morning, and she has one house viewing this afternoon. Between the two of them, I think the baby will be okay. :D My new countertops are being put in today, and also a new sink. The only things that still need to be done is the backsplash and painting.

My workouts where Saturday LITE Metabolic Blast and DH and I went on a long walk afterward, took advantage of the last day of warm weather. Sunday I didn't workout so I missed my stretch, and of course no walk because of the rain. Today I have not worked out yet, but hoping to do so when I get home. I'm planning on P30 Perfect Low Impact HiiT and maybe the RAW Heavy Bag Finisher.

Laurel, Great job with the workouts! You had a change of heart also, sometimes at the end of the week the body just needs something different than what we think it needed when we created the rotation. I really was glad that I had a chance to workout on Saturday, and get in a walk since Sunday was all about baby. I don't think that I could handle this week if I wasn't physically in shape. Yes it does take me a bit to get up from the floor sometimes, but I'm still able to do so. :D The fertilizer will be on my agenda for the month of May. I did go out and look at my plants, and they are all budding. I don't think this snow will hurt anything.

Thelma, Sorry to hear about the butterfly bush, but that you had at least one survive. My peonies are just starting to shoot out of the ground, and most everything else seems to have survived. When do your peonies bloom? Ours start in June. I bet the pups really loved having a clean fresh sleeping area. I know that I constantly change the sheets on the bed because I love sleeping with that freshness. Awesome job with all your workouts! Apparently Billy had hip surgery, but you wouldn't know it from watching his latest youtube videos. DH just texted me and said that the baby was asleep in his arms, and then when he went to put him down he woke up again. :D

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Mine was quiet since DH is still gone but, thankfully, he is due home Wednesday night. Saturday I spent spring cleaning and yesterday I spent on regular cleaning. But I also took time to read, work on a puzzle and wander around the yard encouraging things to come back to life. And the good news is a lot of things are coming back. We still have about half dozen bushes that are showing anything, but I M going to give it a few more weeks before doing anything about them.

For workouts, on Saturday I did Jessica Smith’s Cardio Party from her Walk Strong series followed by 45 minutes of yoga. Yesterday was a 45 minute spin followed by STS Disc 23/Legs. Today was STS Disc 25/Chest and Back, the core work from Perfect 30 and Cathe Live Slam HiiT.

Thelma, sounds like a busy weekend. But great workouts despite all you were doing. We had the exact same weather as you. The rain yesterday morning kind of surprised me. I am so happy you want to do STS 2.0 at the same time as me! That has me excited. When I start, though, will depend on when we get them and how the rotations are set up. I am planning a week long trip to see my sisters in June, and if I can get a full four weeks in AND the rotation calls for a week break between each section, then I will probably start 2.0 before I go. If not, I may actually wait until later in June to start a full rotation. But if that is the case, my plan is to do the workouts before starting the rotation at least once and track my weight so I know what to lift when I start the proper rotation. I hope that makes sense. But, again, it will all be determined by when we get the DVDs and how Cathe has set up the rotations. Btw, I forgot to answer your question about hummingbirds last week. I haven’t seen any since that one, but that is not unusual this time of year for us.

Laurie, great workouts! You picked some good ones Saturday and today. I almost did that HiiT workout today as well. I am glad you are enjoying your time with you grandson. It sounds like he really is a good baby. But I bet it is taking some getting used to having a baby in the house again. You are right about needing some physical endurance to care for a baby, especially at our ages. I hope you like your new countertops. I bet they will make a huge difference. I really hope you don’t get too much snow and what you get just helps everything grow.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Monday were Walking, Gina B. Low Impact Cardio, YinYasa Yoga and Tracy Steen Lower Body.

We woke up to cooler temps on Monday morning. It was about 45 degrees at 8am. The day stayed on the cooler side, but it was very sunny.

Laurie, great workouts! I hope you didn't get too much snow. I'm so glad babysitting the grandbaby is going so well. What a great opportunity for your DH to bond with the baby! Thank goodness the baby is so good at night. I don't think you'll want to give him back to your DD by the time she returns from her vacation!
How exciting about your new countertops, sink and your DD starting to view houses!
Great news about your plants! I was watching a gardening video the other day about fertilizing those beautiful annual baskets sold at this time of the year. The nursery guy was recommending feeding a dilute solution of flower fertilizer every week as opposed to using those slow release pellets, or full-strength solution once a month. I'm going to try the water-soluble fertilizer this year because I always use the pellets.

I was disappointed to see that my butterfly bush was all dead wood. I had that same kind in MA, and it always survive the harsh winters there.
This is the first year my Peonies bloom. Four out of the five are full of buds. The fifth one doesn't have any buds, but I think it's because it was the weakest root we planted. I didn't think it would survive. Only one of the plants has big buds, the others have tiny ones. I expect one of the big buds to open up this week or early next week.

The dogs were lost without their beds while I was washing them! LOL. We have lots of fleece blankets for them. They have living room blankets and kennel blankets! LOL. Louie gets the zoomies after we bathe him. It's really funny.

I can't remember if I told you about Chico crying about a month ago while he was eating his breakfast. He was very scared and was shaking. We took him to the vet, and he has a bad tooth, but he hadn't cried again until today. Now we think it might be his hind legs. He is an older little guy, so we know he has arthritis. When he's scared, he wants mommy to hold him. He ate his very crunchy treats just fine tonight and DH thinks he is walking funny. The boys have a physical on Monday morning, so we'll talk to the vet about a dental for him and while he's under they can take a whole-body X-Ray too.

It's hard to imagine that someone in such good physical shape as Billy would need hip surgery! Too funny about the baby waking up when your DH tried to put him down.

Laurel, sounds like you had a very productive weekend. I'm so glad your DH is finally going to return home this week! Good idea to give the bushes a few more weeks to see if they anything. I saw tiny green leaves at the base of the hydrangea I thought was dead. Hopefully it's not a weed! LOL

Fantastic workouts! We can start the STS 2.0 rotation when you're ready! I do love the idea of doing the workouts before starting the rotation, so we can document our starting weights! Great idea!

I'm so happy to hear you're going to visit your sisters!

The rain on Sunday was also surprising to us. We just didn't expect such heavy rain.

I think the reason why we can't get the hummers to stick around is because we don't have flowers when they arrive, so they keep going. Some people in BR see their hummers all the time.

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 60 minute spin followed by 30 minutes of yoga. This is the second time I have done this particular spin, and it is, hand’s down, the most fun and energizing spin class I have ever done. Can’t wait to do it again. Anyhow, I also went for a super long walk. I was able to navigate around the fiber optic guys and get out of the neighborhood and only came back because I need lunch. :) It was wonderful.

Thelma, great workouts. I hope Chico is okay. Poor little guy, but if he was chewing hard food, it probably is something other than his teeth. I am glad you are getting them all checked out next week. I agree with you that the reason we don’t get the hummingbirds here longer this time of year is because of lack of flowers. Hopefully they come back later in the summer. We had so much fun watching them last summer because we had so many.

I am really glad you like the idea of trying out some of the STS 2.0 workouts before starting the rotation. I really want to get the most out of the program, and I think the only way to do that is to start out knowing how the workouts feel. So, given that, if we don’t get the workouts in the next three weeks, I probably won’t be starting a full 2.0 rotation until June 18. But I could also change my mind about that when I see the workouts. :D But I’ll keep you posted on my ever-changing mind. :)

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Tuesday were Walking, Yin yoga and Tracy Steen Upper Body Descending Ladder Reps. This was a fast-moving workout, so having all weights lined up and ready to go was important. There were 10 exercises, and the rep range went from 10 down to 1 for a total of 10 sets. By the time I got to the set with 5 reps my arms were about to fall off!

Laurel, great workouts! I'm glad you enjoyed that spin class so much!

We now think Chico's problem might be his neck because when I offered him his food he would only eat when I elevated the plate off the floor for him. I made an appointment for a dental for Chico and at that point they can take X-rays.

I got my hummingbirds back! A lady from BR posted on FB that she'd bought a sun guard for her feeder in shape of umbrella and that the hummer had returned to her feeder as a result of it. My feeders are tiny and 4" in diameter, so I ordered the 8" umbrella guards. There was a hummer at my feeder within minutes of putting the umbrella out and it kept coming back all afternoon! Amazing! The lady bought a 14" umbrella, but I was too cheap to pay $26 for one of them. Of course, now I wish I'd bought the 14" one. She thinks that maybe the birds feel safe under the umbrella.

    https://a.co/d/eMi9WZq

I agree with you that in order to get the most out of the workout program is to do them once to find out how they feel and what weights we're starting out with. Hopefully we'll get the workouts at the same time!

I hope your DH has a safe trip back home!

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was STS Disc 27/Shoulders, Biceps and Triceps and Cathe Live Cardio Boxing and Stability Ball Abs. And another nice walk. B)

Thelma, great workouts. I love the sound of that Tracy workout. I have never seen or heard of umbrellas for hummingbird feeders. Thank you for posting that. I will definitely look into a couple. It would make sense that they feel safer under an umbrella. Whenever they eat, they do spend a lot of time looking around, probably for other hummingbirds and predators. Thanks again. I hope Chico is okay. That does sound like it could be a neck issue. Poor little guy. Hopefully you get an answer from the x-rays and can find a way of providing him some relief.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Wednesday were Walking, Gentle Flow Yoga and Tracy Steen Total Body Metabolic Smash.

    Laurel, great workouts!

I decided to get the large weather guards for my hummingbirds. These larger ones will really provide nice shade for them. The little guys are definitely always on guard. I only see one bird at-a-time, but I'm happy to see the little guy at my feeders.

I hope the x-rays will be able to help us diagnose what is wrong with Chico. He's been fine the last two days. He's still afraid to eat but at least he eats when we encourage him.

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 45 minute spin followed by STS Disc 38/Squat Rack Legs and some yoga.

Thelma, great workouts. Thanks for the link. We had a couple of hummingbirds take up home in our trees last summer, and it was so fun to watch them stake our their feeder (we have two) and come to a mutual understanding of sorts on who ate where. One was more of a bully but the other one seemed older and unbothered by his unruly counterpart. They were so cute.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies my workouts on Thursday were Gina B Power Walk and Walking outdoors.

I met my friends for lunch at a golf club today and it was very nice. I had with me a friend who is a cancer survivor and still takes daily chemo meds. She fell while we were going back to my car. OMG, I tried very hard to hold her but couldn't hang on to her. She landed on her hip on the hard parking lot. The medicine makes her dizzy and she was having a dizzy day. I kept offering her my arm so she could hold on to me and she refused every time. All I could do was kneel down next to her in the parking lot and wait till she felt better. A nice man saw us on the ground and came over to help, but she refused the help. I tried to take her to the hospital, but she didn't want to go. I am so worried about her because her DH is out of town.

I secretly called DH and had him meet us at Home Depot in BR where she had left her car so we could drive her home. She of course had refused my offer, but I told her we wouldn't take no for an answer. DH drove her car and she rode with me in my car. It was a long day. I did the most driving I've done in over four years! From the golf club to her house, it was a one-hour drive, then 1/2 hour back to my house. I was physically and emotionally exhausted by the time we got back home. My usual drive is about 8 minutes long each way! Needless to say, my workouts represent all my body could afford to do.

Laurel, great workouts! The squat rack legs workout is such a good one!

I hope your hummingbirds will return to your feeders soon. I know what you mean about the little hummers sometime reaching an understanding about sharing the feeders. Rare times I see two at the same feeder, side-by-side or across from each other. They are so territorial!

    Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Cathe’s original Body Max workout. I probably haven’t done this workout in full (all 90 minutes of it) in 10-15 years. I was amazed how quickly the step choreography came back to me, and I managed it all on a 6” step, which made me happy. It felt like a great workout today.

Thelma, that sounds like a stressful day. I hope your friend is okay. I am so glad you drove her home! She really shouldn’t be driving if she is that dizzy. I have no doubt the day exhausted you. I am just glad you and your DH were there for her. Great job doing any workout after that. I think I would have just sat on the sofa and stared at the wall for hours. :)

DH finally made it home yesterday!! Today is our 33rd wedding anniversary and I am off now to go bake him a cake for his birthday which was last week. He amazes me because he was gone for nearly three week and eating in restaurants, and he maintained his weight loss while he was gone. He has lost 30 pounds on Nutrisystems and looks so fit. Makes me happy to see him looking so healthy. And my response is to bake a cake. :D:oB) But we’ll have slice and freeze the rest.

    Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Ladies, I hope you had a great weekend. We had a good weekend with the usual house chores and on Sunday we went to brunch with some friends to a new golf club that's down the road from our house.
We are back to cold temps. We are expecting temps in the low 30's early Monday morning. This cold weather is called blackberry winter because it happens at the same time the blackberries bloom. This is why people here say not to plant anything till after Mother's Day.

DH and I had to cover the few plants we have. I was really worried that my Peony buds would get damaged. I discovered that the butterfly bush I thought was dead is alive! Yaay! I found new growth happening at the base of the bush.

My workouts on Friday were Walking, Gentle Flow Yoga and Tracy Steen Knee Friendly Leg Day.
Saturday - Walking, Tracy Steen Low Impact Cardio and Standing Abs.
Sunday - Walking, Gina B Power Walk and Tracy Steen INNER and OUTER Thigh Workout.

Laurel, great job doing that long step workout!!

I agree that my friend shouldn't be driving. Her husband doesn't want her driving either, but she needs to get some exercise in, and the doctor told her to live her life.
She attended yoga class the next day. She was a little sore. Seeing her friends at yoga is very good for her too.

I am so glad your DH is finally back home. Happy 33rd wedding anniversary!
It really is amazing that he did so well with his eating habits while away from home. Good for him! Congratulations to your DH for that amazing weight loss! Wow! I hope he liked his cake. I am sure you froze the cake as soon as you cut two slices! LOL

    Have a wonderful week!

    Morning Ladies,

Sorry that I wasn't on line, it was just a different waking up with the little man in the house. DH did so well with him, and they really bonded. When the baby sees DH he starts to smile. My oldest noticed it and she got a big grin on her face. I have to admit that it was a really good night sleeping last night, since I think my body wasn't on alert in case he woke up. For the most part he was sleeping through the night, except for one. Overall we where glad to send him home with his parents yesterday.

Our countertops are beautiful, and I love my new coffee bar. Yesterday we went to look at something for the backsplash, and we found this glass tile that will be perfect. The only other thing that we need to do in the kitchen is to have the floor refinished, and pick out a paint color.

My workouts where off and on throughout the week. All depended on how much sleep I needed. I managed to get in P30 Upper and Lower body workouts, and that was about it. This morning was 30MTF Kickboxing with Light Dumbbells and our walk. I was so tired this morning, and nothing was speaking to me.

I'm sure that both of you have been busy with your workouts, and I hope to have some time later today to read them all.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Ours was good. The weather was chilly (with a frost advisory last night) but that didn’t stop us (and everybody else in Huntsville so it seemed) from visiting the local nursery for plants. We got a few but I kept myself under control knowing the weather is still too unpredictable for some plants. I think we have pretty much confirmed that two of our bigger bushes in the front of our house aren’t coming back. We are still going to give it a few weeks, but everything else is showing some signs of life, and these have nothing. It’s too bad because they were pretty and easy to take care of. But we got some ideas for what to replace them with. Yesterday DH ND I did a lot of work on the yard and in the house and then we planted a few of the plants we got (that are hearty enough for these temperatures).

For workouts, on Saturday I did a Jessica Smith walk and 45 minutes of power yoga. Sunday was 30 minute spin and Cathe Live All About Legs. Today was STS Disc 1/Chest, Shoulders and Biceps followed by Cathe Live Fitness Fusion.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad to hear your butterfly bush survived. I was thinking we had lost our crepe myrtle that we planted last year, but this weekend it started growing from the ground. So that made me happy. I am happy to hear your friend felt well enough to attend yoga the day after her fall. I don’t blame her for a minute wanting to get some normalcy back into her life after what she has been through. The cake is fantastic! And, no, it didn’t go straight into the freezer. B) It is just too good. :)

Laurie, I am glad you enjoyed your time with your grandson but, no doubt, it must have been exhausting. I bet it feels good to have the house back to normal again. Great job getting any workouts in during last week. It will probably take you a few nights of sleep to fully recover. I am glad you like your countertops. Bet they make a huge difference in the appearance of your kitchen.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Monday were Tracy Steen Build & Burn Sexy Arm Workout, Walking and Gina B Power Walk. Tracy's workout was really good. She alternated between cardio and strength segments. The first circuit was cardio, then she moved on to biceps. The strength segments had 5 exercises. The first one was a warmup for the body part being worked on, so she used 2 lb dumbbells, then there were three strength moves and one burnout pulse move where you're just pulsing. This pulsing move is what Cathe calls finishers. Those were killers! She did triceps last, and the burnout pulse move was a skull crusher and I started with 12 lbs, on the second set I went to 10 lbs and on the third set down to 8lbs and it felt like 20lbs!

Our temps didn't get as cold as predicted. I think we were more in the mid 30's.

Laurie, I'm glad you and your DH survived a week with the grand baby! Some people say that the beauty of having grandkids is that at the end of the day you get to send them home to their parents! LOL
How sweet that your DH bonded so much with the baby!

I'm so glad you like you are loving the countertops and coffee bar. How nice that you found a tile for your backsplash!

I don't blame you for not being able to get your regular workouts in last week. It's hard not being able to get a good night sleep because you have to be on alert while you sleep. Good job with the workouts!

Laurel, I'm glad you had a good and productive weekend! I am glad you kept yourself under control at the nursery! I am glad you're going to give those 'dead' bushes a little more time to come back to life. I still can't believe my butterfly bush is alive. Good job finding plants that are hardy for the cold winter we've had. I will eventually get more annual flowers for my hummingbirds.

I'm so glad your crepe myrtle survived and that the cake was a big hit!

    Great workouts!!

My friend is a warrior. She has to take oral chemo every 12 hours for two years and that is the med that makes her dizzy. One of her biggest dreams while going through chemo early on was to be able to go back to the yoga studio and do yoga with her friends. She says we lift her spirits up.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

Much more alert this morning, so I guess that I'm really getting some good sleep. My workout was 30MTF Build & Burn Upper Body Supersets. I went as heavy as I could handle. I think I did okay, because I'm feeling the workout right now.

We are having really cold temps, with some frost yesterday and rain this morning. :p

Laurel, Glad that you went plant shopping. If you didn't go now, you probably wouldn't have anything to choose from on a later date. Awesome job with all those workouts! Are you still enjoying mixing up the phases? I think that picking out the color for the walls will be the hardest part. I'm thinking of an off white just to lighten up the space more. Even contemplating sanding the table, and using a super light stain on it. Our table needs to be refinished, so this is a great time to do some changes. Will have to see what DH thinks. I want to keep the table, and change the chairs. They are Amish, so we can't get to modern. :D

Thelma, Great job with the workouts! Those Tracey workouts sound really good, and I'm glad that you are enjoying them. Have to admit that we both enjoyed getting out of the house after the DD left. I don't think that we where alone for 10 min. and we left to look at the backsplash options. Hopefully tonight we will be going to look at paint. DH's friend is suppose to be coming over tonight, but I'm hoping he decides to stay home. :D

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 45 minute spin, STS Disc 14/Legs and yoga. I finished it off with a nice, long walk. While it is still a little chilly outside, the fresh air felt wonderful.

Thelma, great workouts. I love the sound of that Tracy workout. I am beginning to think that we have more hummingbirds around that we are seeing because not only were our feeders empty this weekend, but we had no more than pulled into the garage to unload the car from our nursery trip when a hummingbird flew in there. :o Luckily DH was able to get him out with just a little effort. But our hummingbird-attracting bush by the garage isn’t even blooming yet, and we have never had one in the garage when it hasn’t been blooming. I picked out the flowers I want to plant under the feeders this summer, and, hopefully, will be able to get those planted in a couple of weeks. Then maybe they will come out more when we are outside.

Laurie, great workout. I am glad to hear you are feeling more back to normal today. I completely understand not wanting another guest tonight, though. DH and I are so used to it being just us that when we have other people around for a long time, I start missing him…..even though he is there. :) I hope you can find a paint you like. I like bright rooms, so I always prefer lighter colors on the wall. I think your idea of staining your table sounds good, especially since it is an Amish table. A nice, light stain may highlight the wood nicely. I am definitely still enjoying this random STS rotation. Honestly, I think if I had done something like this years ago, I might have used these workouts more throughout the years in non-STS rotations. But that notion of building each week on your strength thought out a rotation got into my head, and it never let it go. But, really, at the end of the day, each workout is no different than, say, the Gym Style workouts.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Tuesday were Walking, Yin and Tracy Steen Full Body Hiit Workout. This was another great workout. The one thing that drives me crazy about her workouts is that the workout label in YouTube says it's a 30 minute workout, but in reality, it's a 38 minute workout. She doesn't include the warmup and cooldown time. Weird!

This is the arm workout I did on Monday. It's about 53 minutes long.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHBqPwZ-RDo

This was Tuesday's workout. 38 minutes long.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fugay14ts1A

Her YouTube channel is very nicely organized into playlists. She has playlists for upper body, lower body, Abs and Core, workout duration, etc...

We are expecting rainy weather for the next three days, but we're done with the cold temps. It was very cold on Tuesday morning. We did go down to 31 degrees.

Laurie, great job with your KCM workout! Sorry about those cold temps though!

Good luck selecting the kitchen paint color!

Tracy's workouts are really good. She shares a lot of free content in YT, but she also has a paid membership service.

Too funny about getting out of the house as soon as your DD left with the baby! I hope your DH's friend stayed home!

    Laurel, great workout combo!

I don't know how Tracy does it, but she puts out 5 new workouts each week, with one of them being for her paid membership clients. I believe the workouts are her daily workouts. I don't know how she keeps coming out with so many routines. Very creative.

It sounds like you have more than a couple of hummingbirds! My feeders never go empty. I switched to tiny feeders because I was wasting too much syrup on the bigger feeders. The feeders I have now are 2.5 oz each.

I'm glad your DH was able to get the hummingbird out of the garage! I think the females are nesting now. I'm sure you'll see a lot more of them when you plant all those flowers you bought.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

We had frost this morning. :p I'm ready for some warmer temps. My workout was 30MTF Power Splits Lower Body. DH's friend was at the house when I got home. So we will be heading out tonight to look at paint samples.

Laurel, Great job with all those workouts, and finishing it up with a long walk. So I mentioned the redo on the table, and DH is okay with it. He's going to try to update the chairs we have. He has to fix at least one of them. One of the girls broke a spindle, so he needs to talk to my brother about making a new one. We may have to negotiate what I want vs. what he wants. :D You are correct, those STS workouts can be used as a separate workouts. I think that we all where of a mind that we had to increase the weights while progressing through the workouts. May is getting closer, so we will be getting the newest workouts soon. I'm just filling in the time with random workouts until then. :D

Thelma, Nice job with the workout! I have noticed that with some workouts on youtube. I look at my watch, and it's way past the time that was indicated. Jillian did that a lot with her workouts. Might have to pull out one of her workouts. ;) Every once in a while I just need to have a Jillian fix, but will probably opt for low impact.

    Have a great day!
