Hi Ladies, I hope you had a very nice Easter. DH went back today. Feeling a little sad but I'm better than I was the first time. After I came back from dropping him off I cleaned 3.5 baths, cleaned floors upstairs, washed sheets and worked out. On Friday I did KCM Athletic conditioning. On Saturday a JS fusion workout. Morning Ladies,
Had a very busy weekend, but it all was so beautiful. I hope all of you had a wonderful Easter. I didn't workout, because I was doing something or other outside since it was so beautiful. I was also at the church for a good length of time both Saturday and Sunday. My banner was received very well, and now the Pastor has more ideas for me. I'm glad, because I know that we need so many more. I just love making them. Anyway this morning I did GHUTV Serious Strength Total Body. First time trying that one and I really liked it.
Laurel, Love all the workouts that you did! I hope your leg was fine afterward, sometimes my knee will talk to me if I did a little to much. Well if your DH hasn't been across that bridge since the 70's it is way nicer now. They just refurbished it a few years ago, so it probably isn't as scary as the last time I saw it. I can't believe that we are down to days until the RT. I'm so glad that it was a couple of weeks after Easter, because I can't imaging having to deal with getting everything ready this week. I need a few days to decompress from the weekend. I need to purchase some new knee braces, because I'm sure that I will need them to be clean and dry for the workouts.
Thelma, Congratulations on the sale of your house! That letter brought me to tears, it was so sweet. I think that having this family in your home will make selling it easier to deal with. Great job on your workouts, and cleaning the bathrooms. Seriously do you want to come clean my house. I still have not cleaned up my banner making mess. I have fabric laying on my kitchen table, and two sewing machines. Cleaning all that up is my mission after work.

Hi Ladies! Hope you enjoyed the weekend. Saturday was cloudy and cool here but yesterday was an absolutely picture perfect day for celebrating both Easter and our anniversary. Sunny, blue skies and just.....perfect. For workouts this weekend, on Saturday I did a 30 minute Pyramid Power Walk from Jessica Smith into her Feel Good Fusion workout. Yesterday was Cathe Live Oh My Glutes and, for cardio, the warm up and Calorie Crush from Rev’d Up Rumble into Cathe Live Cardio, Glutes and Core Express. Lots of glute work there! Today was STS Disc 34/Chest and Back followed by Cathe Live Hearts on Fire.
Thelma, congratulations on the sale of your house. That letter is so heart warming. I would have been an absolute mess of tears reading it. It must make you feel so at peace to know your house will be a good home for that family. That is so special. I am sure it will take some getting used to this week with your DH gone, but with the house selling, hopefully you will be together again very soon. Great workouts this weekend!
Laurie, sounds like a busy but good weekend. Sounds like all the work you are putting into the banners is appreciated. That must feel very rewarding. I, too, am glad for a little respite right now before the Road Trip. I can’t believe it is next week! My leg is actually doing fine, but I am definitely going to be taking the intensity of my workouts down between now and the Road Trip. While I don’t expect the workouts during the Road Trip to be, by themselves, too intense, I think the combination of traveling, an unusual eating schedule, the fact there are six workouts in less than 48 hours and probably some nerves (at least initially) will have them feeling pretty tough and I want to be well rested for them.

Thanks for the congrats on the sale of the house. That letter was heartfelt I thought. We couldn't be happier with our buyers because they will love our house as much as we did. I told DH that we should leave them a housewarming gift. Since the little girl likes nature, I told DH to leave them hummingbirds feeders with fresh food on the hooks we have used for years for them. I was so worried about not feeding my little hummers in MA!
The hummingbirds here in GA are not shy at all! They are al my feeders every 2 minutes and they don't care if I'm outside inches away from them! I'm in heaven!
Trust me, I didn't want to clean up on Sunday but I had to do it so I wouldn't go crazy. There is no hiding dirt in this house. Everything shows.

Friday it rained like crazy all day, and most of the day on Saturday. It was very cold on Saturday.
Thanks for the congrats on the sale of the house. It gives me peace knowing that the house is going to a loving family.
It's been easier without DH this time around. We can't wait to be together either!

Morning Ladies,
This morning was a favorite of mine, and I used my boxing gloves. I did 30MTF Meltdown Workout 2, which is the boxing with the bag.
Laurel, Belated Happy Anniversary! Great job on all the workouts, you are back to putting in some great combos again. I know that I have said this many times, but Cathe really does come up with some great titles for those live workouts. I agree with you on taking it easy on the joints before the RT, I don't usually workout as much as we will be doing. That is one reason that I need to purchase some new knee braces, probably will have those things on all day. For sure I will have to bring along some type of anti-inflammatory just in case I need it. The middle of the night is when my knee starts hurting if I do to much.
Thelma, I can see that you have your workout space all set up if you have your PHA 2 workout going. Great job! I know that you had not had the chance to try out the new workouts because of your moving. Glad that you liked it. What a great idea to give the new family those feeders for the hummingbirds. I rarely see hummingbirds, but when I'm weeding the garden they will come up to the flowers. It kind of scares you at first, because the hum is louder than a bumble bee. I'm glad to hear that you are getting to enjoy seeing them in GA. Guess you will be busy with cleaning the new house.

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was STS Disc 40/Squat Rack Legs followed by a Cathe Live core routine from her workout last week. For cardio, I did Cathe Live Cycle Mania.
Thelma, glad you enjoyed that workout! I think that one really flies by quickly, and there is not a move in it that I dread. So good. I love the idea of leaving the hummingbird feeders for the new family! We, too, have found the birds down here to be pretty friendly (aka fearless). We put a feeder out in the yard where we can see it from the kitchen table, and I love weekend mornings watching the different types of birds visit us. So peaceful! Well, it is peaceful until they start fighting. Glad your week is going better despite your DH being back in MA. I am sure the combination of having him there last week, being more familiar with your new surroundings and selling your house is helping make you feel more at ease.
Laurie, thank you for the anniversary wishes! It was our 29th! Hard to believe that many years have gone by until we sit down and start reminiscing about everything that has happened in those 29 years. I am glad you are thinking ahead about your knee and what will help it next weekend. I pulled out the schedule last night to try to figure out a meal plan, especially since I don’t like to eat much too close to workouts. I am thinking I want to bring with me some easy to eat and digest snacks to grab, especially for Saturday when those workouts are closer together. Sounds like a fun workout tomorrow today!!

Hello Ladies!
We had a wonderful, warm weekend and it was nothing short of fantastic! Saturday my son had his first high school lacrosse game and we went into it not expecting him to be played, as it's been made very clear that the coach plays the best as the goal is to have a winning season (so different from "youth" sports!). My son got to play majority of both games, which was so amazing. He's much shorter than the other kids on his team and opposing teams, but he took on those giants like a boss. I was so proud! Easter was nice with my family and even though I dread it, I did the Easter egg treasure hunt for my boys again. This time, all the clues were in Spanish (hehe). It was great!
Work is definitely testing my limits and I'm trying very hard to focus on taking out all the negative energy during my workouts. Last night was my first LITE workout...Cardio Party. Just what I needed! Tonight is whatever is next on the 1 month LITE rotation!
Laurie, I hope you ended up with some warm weather to wear a dress for Easter! We weren't quite warm enough here on Sunday, but it was nice enough to at least not have to wear a sweater all day!
Laurel, I agree, I think the warm ups (and cool downs) are lacking in the BB workouts and that might have something to do with it. I also think that may of the workouts (P90X and CLX excluded) move wayyy too fast, and just set one up for injury. I always end up going back to Cathe and recover nicely, so I'm looking forward to no more sore shoulder! I was on her website the other day and the loop bands are out there...take a look! I might order a 2nd set as back up!
Thelma, Congrats on the sale of the house! That is soooo awesome! That letter literally made me cry. What a special family to take the time to write something so very sweet. It has to warm your heart knowing that the family is so excited to move in and all of your hard work getting it ready for the next family has paid off!

I hope to be on again sometime this week, but might not be until Friday. I'm trying to keep on top of work to keep my sanity, but it means 9-10 hour days, which leaves little time after I'm done with my work day before it's time for bed. But, I want you all to know how much I look forward to catching up with you all, as it's a bright light in my crazy busy and stressful life right now.

Hi Ladies, today I did Cathe's LITE Rev'd Up Ramble and I used my boxing gloves for the entire workout. Loved it!
Temps here were in the high 70's and tomorrow I believe we will hit 80 degrees! It's not humid her yet so these temps feel good.
Our house will be inspected on Friday. Hopefully, there won't be any big findings.
Laurie, great workout today! I'll have to try that Meltdown Workout 2 with the punching bag. DH said I could fill the base with water instead of sand.
My workout space is pretty much done. We still have a few things in MA like the Bowflex dumbbells, workout bench and a couple of other dumbbells. I have to figure out where I want the punching bag.
I think the house future owners will love the hummingbirds. Glad you liked the idea too. They are so loud and they sound scary when you first hear them. I am afraid of flying bugs so I had to train myself to not freak out with the hummingbird humming sound. I love these little guys and I'll get to enjoy them longer here in GA!

So far I'm liking the LITE program. I think the workouts that I always dread are the STS workouts because they are so long!

I'm so happy you also are enjoying the hummingbirds in AL! You're right, they are fearless here! In MA if they saw us near the feeders they would keep going. Not here which is great! I just heard that the Monarch butterflies are migrating north and they go through GA so we will see lots of them soon!
We have 5 hummingbird feeders out on the deck. Our other feeder stands are still in MA. DH will set them out when he moves here.
I am in a better mental place now that I know DH will be living here full time soon. His new job may require him to travel but at least he'll be here every weekend.
Erika, glad you had a nice weekend and congrats on your son playing the majority of the lacrosse games! What a proud moment for you guys!! What a great idea to have the Easter egg treasure hints in Spanish!! I bet it was a lot of fun! LOL
I finally started trying the LITE workouts this week too and I was thinking of doing a rotation. I haven't looked at the rotations. I'm just going with what feels right. I loved that Cardio Party workout! I'm sorry you're going through such a difficult time at work.
Thanks so much on the sale of the house! OMG, that letter was so special and so touching! Our buyers are definitely a special family and the perfect buyers for us. We wanted people who loved nature and the house. I'm sure they will continue to feed our birds and will take care of my perennial flowers.
It does warm our hearts knowing that this family is so excited to move into our house. As hard as we worked on getting that house ready to sell, I would do it again because it was worth it.

Morning Ladies,
This morning was GHUTV Serious Strength Lower Body. I really liked this one, it incorporated just enough leg work in the 30 min. to get it worked good. She even incorporated some floor work, so I felt it was well rounded.
Laurel, Great job on the workouts! Is that the last one of the squat rack workouts for you in this rotation? Totally understand about the years flying with your DH. We will be having 31 this year, and it really doesn't seem that long ago. I'm just thankful that we have been able to weather all the storms that life has given us, and are still able to be together. I think you are smart with your meal planning, I'm sure that will be a good way to do the snacks. I know that I can't exercise after a meal.
Erika, Love that LiTe workout also. I usually am not a big fan of cardio like that, but the low impact aspect of this one was perfect for me. I was able to enjoy those moves with a less frantic pace. I love that you did the egg hunt in Spanish, and I'm sure that the boys still love doing the hunting. Nice that your oldest was in the game for the majority of the time, that means that he is hustling and doing good. I was able to wear a dress, and only had a sweater on when walking to the car. It was in the 70's for us, so I was really really happy. Even with the weather that warm, there is just that slight cool breeze yet.
Thelma, Another great workout, has to be my favorite kickboxing workout right now. Things are moving along with the house fairly quickly, that is awesome. I will again be sending those vibes for a positive inspection. I'm so jealous of you having that punching bag, that workout will be a lot of fun with it. There is only one move that I didn't do with Kelly. After each round of boxing she does a cardio move, so when she did the mountain climbers I just did some high knees. Boxing gloves don't work well for balancing on the floor.

Hi Ladies! Today was my last STS workout (for now) with STS Disc 36/Shoulders, Biceps and Triceps. While I enjoyed revisiting STS again, I really am looking forward to this summer’s less structured rotation right now. For cardio today, I decided to really push my calf muscle one last time before next week and picked one of Cathe’s higher impact cardio workouts, which is her Birthday Bash. Unfortunately half way through and my internet died! In fact, she had just said ‘we have reached the half way point....’ and then....nothing. So I quickly popped in X10 and did the Hi-Lo and Cardio Blast sections. All in all, it was a good, tough workout and my calf held up throughout. There are definitely moves I am still not quite comfortable with but, honestly, I am very happy with where I am at right now. A few weeks ago I was really beginning to wonder if I would ever get back to where I am right now. After the Road Trip I will start trying to incorporate some step, which is about the only thing I haven’t tried. But it will wait until after.
Erika, so glad you enjoyed a nice Easter. Yay for your DS playing so much! I bet he loved that. I love the idea of Easter clues in Spanish. Bet that was a challenge for all involved. I am definitely going to go look for those bands on Cathe’s site! Last time I checked, the only bands she still had were her long ones, so thank you for letting me know. I am glad you enjoyed Cardio Party. That one is just pure fun for me. I agree about the pace of some of the Beachbody workouts. To be honest, one of the effects of age that I definitely feel is that I don’t always love those really fast-paced workouts anymore. On occasion, I am fine. But every day.....not so much. I am sorry to hear about work. That has to be pretty frustrating. And check in when you can! Love having you back!!
Thelma, love that workout! Glad you enjoyed it. Fingers crossed the home inspection goes well. We are enjoying the warm temps too with today in the 80s. I am still fighting against turning on the AC, and I think I will be able to hold out for the weekend. But next week looks like a string of mid-80s with warm nights and, depending on the humidity, I think the AC will probably need to come on. Keep looking for the monarchs! We have seen quite a few here this spring, and they are truly beautiful.
Laurie, great workout! I feel the exact same way about our 29 years of marriage. We weathered some tough storms, but we made it through.....and still enjoy each other’s company. Definitely something to celebrate for sure. Yep, I am all done with those STS leg workouts.....thankfully. I have a love/hate relationship with them, that’s for sure. After pushing myself through these past two weeks with them, I do wonder how I ever managed to do eight weeks of them for my earlier six month STS rotations! Don’t see that happening again.

Hi Ladies, today I did a Jessica Smith DVD called Walk On: 6 Mile Mix. I did 3 miles and I really liked it. There are 5-15 minute segments and 1-12 minutes. The 1st mile is called Steady Burn, the 2nd one is called Upper Body Sculpt and she uses flat resistance bands. The 3rd mile is called Lower Body Toner. She also uses the resistance band with this segment. It was a really good workout!
My acid reflux was acting up all day long and I just felt very nauseous so I started my workout really late. Next time I do this workout I hope to do the 6 miles. I loved the variety!

Things are really moving along fairly quickly for sure with the house. Thanks so much for sending those vibes for a positive inspection. I have to decide where I want that punching bag because once we add weight to the base I won't be able to move it.
I can understand why you didn't do the mountain climbers. Those can't be done when you're wearing boxing gloves!

I don't think we hit 80 just yet here but got pretty close. It was a beautiful day here too. I've used the AC off and on but have used it for the last two nights. There's no way I'm going to leave the windows open. We have a very loud nocturnal bird out in the woods! It goes on for hours!
The sun hits the deck side of the house at the end of the day as it starts to go down and the house gets hot.

I've yet to see a Monarch butterfly here. I see some large yellow and black butterflies. I think it's the GA state butterfly. Tiger Swallowtail. They are huge! I've also seen some large black ones but they are smaller than the Tiger Swallowtail.

Morning Ladies,
This morning was GHUTV Cardio Kickboxing and Muffin Top Melter for my workouts. Can you believe that DH needs to mow the lawn, and just last week we had snow on the ground. That's how our weather works around here.
Laurel, Nice job with getting in workouts despite the fact that your internet went down. So glad to hear that your calf is doing so well, I'm sure it was making you second guess going on the trip. I don't blame you for wanting a less structured rotation, that is the way I'm feeling also. I have been enjoying doing a week of different instructors, so that may be the way my LGI8 will go also. I should just take my DVD's and line them up, and proceed from there. That way I can incorporate every instructor including Autumn (21 Fix Extreme), and maybe even Sagi (hammer & chisel) and Tony (Hard Corps). We will see how it goes, because I want to make sure that all the workout are no more that 45 to 50 min. Max. Now that I think about it this might be fun. I think STS is a great program, but for me the workouts are just to long. Makes me think that I may not do them again until I'm retired had have enough time.
Thelma, Great job on the JS workouts, it sounds like a nice variety. Sorry to hear that you where not feeling that great yesterday. My lower body was still sore this morning, so I can mark that one down as a good workout. I figure any workout that makes me feel it the next, has to be a good one. Good idea to figure out where your bag should go, you don't want to put it in a place that will be in your way for other workouts. Sounds like you are really enjoying all the nature that is around you.

Hi Ladies! Enjoyed a really fun workout today. I started with Cathe’s Live workout this morning which was Cardio Leg Party. It was fun and relatively intense but not too long (which I liked). Then when my internet died yesterday, it was right before the workout I was doing was going into Cathe’s old school cardio and since she likes to toss those old moves into her workouts now and again, I picked yesterday’s workout to see how I would handle it. Well, obviously, that didn’t happen. So today I decided to test the calf some more and did a Live workout from 2016 called Old School Cardio and Kickboxing. I don’t know how I have managed to overlook this workout in the two years of doing Live (though I think it might have something to do with not liking Cathe’s old school cardio very much ) because this was a really fun workout!
Thelma, great workout! That is a series I used this spring when I was working up my cardio, and I think I did five of the six miles.....and loved it. I got her 4, 5, and 6 mile walks and much prefer the latter two to the 4 mile walk because of the variety. But the six mile walk was my favorite. Sorry to hear about the acid reflux. Hope you are feeling better. One of the reasons we like our house is we get the morning sun on our ‘living’ side of the house, including the bedroom (and our deck). So those rooms stay a little cooler. Another plus is the setting sun goes behind our garage, so that intense sunshine doesn’t really come into the house at all. I have fingers and toes crossed this makes for less expensive AC bills this summer! We are supposed to get into the upper 80s early next week so we will have a brief glimpse of how hot the house gets. My workout room is upstairs, so that will be the worst place, but DH just installed ceiling fans up there which should help.
Laurie, great workouts! Love the name of the Muffin Top Melter. I could use that. I am starting to watch the weather forecast for next week up there, and it looks like a bit of a mixed bag, which is fine. At least that bag hasn’t included a snow flake.....yet. When Cathe signed off her Live broadcast this morning she was explaining that she will be missing Live next week because of the Road Trip and I was like . I think it is going to be a little surreal for me initially to workout with Cathe actually live! Getting pretty excited now! I LOVE you thoughts on laying out your DVDs and just doing them. That is exactly how I am feeling right now, which is one of the reasons I am focusing on some of the series I just haven’t done as much for the rotation. But I will tell you all, my feeling right now is while I may try to focus on a certain type of exercise format each week (as I posted in the rotation plan earlier), I may be choosing some seriously random workouts to fulfill that format. I think one of the reasons today’s workout was so fun was it was unplanned and new, even though I had two areas I wanted to focus on (legs and old school cardio). I hope to do more of that this summer.

Hi Ladies ~ Just wanted to let you all know I am alive and doing well! Last Friday I meant to write you all but was able to leave work a little early prior to my trip. So was off packing and getting ready.
My Birthday trip was SO much fun. My sweet hubby and sister spoiled me rotten. We had fun in the sun, California Adventure Park (which wasn't planned but glad we did it) and of course the Angels/Yankees game which was a huge success for the Yankees!!!!!! We did a lot of walking during the 4.5 days we were there and lots of laughs. No workouts however, but it is ok, I enjoyed my family time and cannot wait now to get back into my workouts. Hopefully tomorrow a.m. we got in at midnight last night so there was no way I would have been able to get up. Maybe tomorrow a.m. otherwise Spinning after work. Speaking of spinning ...... my huge birthday gift from my hubby and sister (combined gift) ---- drum roll please: a Peloton bike!!! WooHoo. Which DH is going to ride as well, he already agreed and is excited. So yahoo on many levels!
I will try and read through everyones comments and catch up tomorrow. Hope you are all doing well!

Hi Ladies, today's workout was LITE Strong Body Stacked Sets: Lower and JS Low Impact Mile. I really like this LITE series!
I treated myself to a pedicure at the Spa down the street from my house. They have discounted prices M-F! Yaay!
I decided today that I needed to do something to get myself out of the house. So I signed up or yoga classes at a studio in downtown BR. I signed up for two classes tomorrow! I'm freaking out because I feel so intimidated!
I also signed up for a 3 part, 2-hour Myofascial workshop. We will learn self-myofascial release to work on tight spots. I feel that I need this! I hope this will help my foot!
The first part is this Saturday and it will cover feet and legs. Part II will be in May and it will cover the hips and spine. Part III will be in June and it will cover shoulders and neck.
The house inspection is tomorrow! I hope it all goes well.

I got another JS DVD too which I have yet to try but the 6 mile one is definitely a good workout. My acid reflux is better. Thanks for asking. I can't seem to eat candy anymore; which is a good thing!
DH wanted a house where the sun would blast the deck side during the deck. The sun hits the house at the very end of the day, pretty much at sundown time. My workout room is downstairs the temps on the lower level are very cold compared to the upper level. This house has ceiling fans in every room and in the screened porches. One of my cats freaks out when the fans are on though.
How is your water cost there Laurel? The water here is very expensive.

TGIF!!! I'm so glad it's Friday and looking forward to the weekend. It's supposed to be chilly here this weekend (40's tomorrow and barely into the 50's Sunday) but we have a packed weekend of lacrosse games, so I'm excited to watch my son play again.
This week has been LITE workouts and I'm in LOVE!! These are so fun, new moves, and just the right pace. I'm just following the 1 month LITE rotation and it's been fun and I've got some serious DOMS, which I'd call a success!
Laurel, bummer on the internet going out halfway through the workout! That has happened to me more than I care to count with any of the live/internet based workouts. But, sounds like you got that X10 workout in promptly and moved on. I can't remember if I did the old school kickboxing workout or not, but sounds like fun!
Laurie, loving the sounds of those workouts...they sound fun, but challenging! I hear ya on the odd weather! Snowing one minute, grass needing a mow the next. I'm sure you're going to get the odd weather this weekend that we're getting too. I'm not sure what season it is right now!

Morning Ladies,
So tomorrow we are suppose to have anywhere from 2-8 inches of snow, depending on where you live. If you are closer to the IL border, then you will have more snow. This isn't unusual for this area, we have had snow in May. The only bad part is this is going to be that wet super heavy snow. My workout this morning was GHUTV Serious Strength Upper Body. Another good workout.
Laurel, Great job on the workouts! I had an LOL moment when you said that you don't enjoy Cathe's Old School cardio, that is the way I feel also. I like the old school feeling in the LiTe Cardio Party, but that is about all I could actually stand. I'm glad that you enjoyed the workout with it though. Anything with kickboxing in it has to be fun. Next weekend looks to be way better than this weekend, and in our normal temps for this time of the year. I'm hoping that I don't get star struck when I first meet Cathe, this is going to be so cool. I think that I'm going to pull all the series that I want to do, or have not tried in a while, and see what I can come up with for my rotation. I want to include some of my Kettlebell Kickboxing workouts also. I think this could be a really great way for me to get in some love to those workouts that I have neglected. I think that it helps that I lost some weight, and that my knee is feeling better.
Tami, Glad to hear that you are doing well. on the awesome birthday present. How in the world will you not be running home to hop on that bike. It sure does look like a good one, from the commercials that I have seen. Happy Belated Birthday by the way.
Thelma, Glad to hear that you are enjoying those LiTe workout, they are my favorites. I love the length and the workouts are just great. I'm going to throw in some of them for next week, just to get myself in the Cathe mood for the road trip. Nice that you are joining a yoga class and those other classes sound really good. I hope that they have some really great information for you. My DH was out on the lawn mower last night, we where blessed with rain and very warm temps, so the grass just grew. It is nice to see the leaves starting to come out, so that means blooming flowers on trees. This morning was a slight sinus headache, so I need to make sure that I take my meds.
Erika, I too am glad that it is Friday. Love that you are enjoying the LiTe workouts, like I told Thelma, they are my favorites. She has so many premixes on these also, so you can mix it up a little. I love the workouts that mix in the ab work with the main workout. I find doing ab work that way, makes me actually work my abs. That is one thing that I tend to avoid. Have a great time watching you son play his lacrosse game.

Hi Ladies! For today’s workout I did Cathe Live PHA plus Cardio Blasts. I did this one two weeks ago as my first attempt at higher impact cardio. I thought it was just an all right workout. Two weeks later and feeling much more comfortable doing the cardio.....and this workout felt killer! I love d it, of course. But I followed it with a more moderate cardio workout than planned because of that which was Cathe Live Cardio Kickboxing and Cardio Barre.
Tami, so glad to hear you had a great trip!!! And yay on the Pelaton!! Hope your DH enjoys it too. I will be very curious how you feel about spinning at home vs in the gym because, no doubt, the energy level will be very different. But I love having the capability to get that really intense cardio workout in at home. Hope you do as well. Thank you for the anniversary wishes!
Erika, happy Friday! Glad you are enjoying the LITE series. I definitely think it is one of her best series.....if not her best series to be honest. Every workout is solid and there are so many ways to use it. Hope your weather isn’t too cold for the lacrosse!
Thelma, so glad you are loving LITE as well! And you amaze me signing up for those classes! I really want to know what you think because I am considering trying to convince my neighbor to take some yoga classes with me. But she is intimidated because she has never done anything like it. So all feedback is welcome!! Our water is not expensive here. I think our bill for April was $35 and that including watering the lawn a couple of time. Compared to Alaska (and Florida) that seems like nothing. Are you on a well? We have city water and that might make a difference.
Laurie, on the snow!! I really hope this is your last big storm for the year. That wet, heavy stuff is not my favorite, that’s for sure. Thankfully this time of year it has a tendency to go away quickly and make everything green. Yes, I am wondering what babbling will come out of my mouth when I meet Cathe. It will either be ‘hello’ followed by silence or a recitation of my workout life. I seem to have no in between. But I am looking forward to it! I agree about Cardio Party. It reminds me of older Cathe stuff.....but the fun stuff, not the high kicks and endless jumping jacks and all that other stuff she did. Thankfully!

Hi Ladies, I hope you had a nice weekend. I had a nice weekend. The yoga studio was amazing and the people so welcoming! There was a sense of community there; which is something I've never had. Everyone introduced themselves to me and at the end of the class, they asked me if I liked the class. It took a lot of courage on my part to get myself out there. I felt so vulnerable! The instructors were great! The Myofascial Release workshop was awesome and we had a great time. You know how I'm always talking about stretching and massaging with massage balls after each workout. Turns out I've been doing myofascial self-release all this time but, I didn't know it! I definitely learned a better technique. There was a lady in the workshop who made the funniest sounds. She had us cracking up with her comic relief. There were 6 women in there including the instructor. We covered from the waist down on this first workshop.
I wish you ladies lived here because you all could've benefited from this workshop. Next month we will cover the hips and spine. The instructor said we would learn to massage our stomachs!
They had a great deal going for newbies! $45 for the first month of unlimited classes. I signed up for 9 classes this week and it could be my weekly thing.
The Restorative Healing couldn't have been any gentler. It was so gentle that I fell asleep for a few seconds! The regular instructor was out sick so I don't know what the regular class is like. They love their props in that place! This class was on the floor. We each had a boulder, a blanket, 2 yoga blocks, and even a little eye pillow. The boulder was positioned in a vertical/inclined position. We used the blocks to prop the boulder up. Then we basically rested our upper body on its side on the boulder and our legs were almost in a fetal position. Somehow we were a little twisted and it was a loooong, gentle stretch. Eventually, we did the same thing on the other side and a few other long and gentle stretches. It was very relaxing.
The Sculpted-Movement Fusion was a mix of mat Pilates, HIIT, free weights and core. I honestly don't know what the yoga part of the class was. All I can think of is at the end when we were stretching. It was fun though. It was mostly Barre and Pilates as far as I'm concerned. The room was freezing but eventually, the workout got us sweating. They use 2, 3 and 5-pound dumbbells because they do so many reps.
These are the classes I will take this week:
Monday and Wed - Beginner Gentle and Barre Levels 1&2.
Tuesday: Yoga Basics. This will be my first yoga class. There is an all levels yoga class on Saturday that I might have to check out.
Thursday Ying/Yang yoga and Sculpted Movement Fusion
Friday Restorative Healing and Sculpted-Movement Fusion.
On Friday I did Restorative Healing and Sculpted-Movement Fusion and LIT Strong Body Stacked Sets: Upper.
On Saturday, Myofascial Release and JS low impact mile
Today LITe PHA2 followed by a long myofascial self-release session.
I almost forgot to tell you about the inspection! The inspector didn't really have any big findings on our 115-year-old house! DH did a really good job maintaining that house. The inspector listed something on the deck needing 2 screws, a vine wrapping itself around a tree that should be cut, no stair railing on the butler's stairway. He said he had to write the railing part even though he knows there is no space for a railing given the stairway is very narrow.
A beam in the basement had signs or termite damage (it was there when we bought the house) and he could tell there was no active damage going on but suggested the buyers have it checked out. So they asked to mitigate the beam if active damage is discovered by their pest control person tomorrow. They are doing a radon test. If the test doesn't pass we'll have to mitigate that too. That's it! That's all they asked for!
We've had the house treated for termites so we know we're OK.
The buyers are really excited about moving into the house.
DH is coming to GA on Saturday for the week!
Laurie, I hope that sinus headache is long gone! Did you end up getting snow? I just can't get over the fact that your DH had to mow the lawn already!o
Great workout and a great idea to do some LITE workouts so you can get into the Cathe mood!

I amazed you for signing for the yoga classes! I amazed myself too! LOL. I just felt that it wasn't healthy for me to be locked up in the house all by myself. We're very isolated here and just had to do something. The yoga studio co-owner talked me into going after I told her how intimidated I was feeling about going there.
If the people in your town are as welcoming as the people here in BR, you ladies will love it. I would say you should go ahead and go by yourself. I bet your neighbor will eventually go with you.
My recommendation is to read the reviews about the yoga studio. I did that with this place. I joined a BR group on FB and people had nothing but great things to say about this place. They were right! Like I said above, I've yet to do anything yoga-like. Wait! We did 4 downward dogs on Saturday! Seriously, that's about it! I'll let you know how the Yoga Basic class goes.
Our water bill was $32 for the month I've been here. DH was here one of those weeks. We don't have a lawn to water. It's basically just me! When I want my car washed, I park it outside the carport on a rainy day! We have city water too. They charge all kinds of fees here. With all the rain we get here, you'd think water would be cheaper.
You should take a picture of your Cathe DVD collection to show Cathe!! I think telling her about your workout life is perfect!
I can't wait to read all about yours and Lorie's experience meeting Cathe and the Road Trip itself.
My body can't handle too many jumping jacks anymore. My feet no longer have any fat padding! I would love to redirect some fat from my thighs to my feet!
