Hi Ladies, my workouts on Monday were Walking, YinYasa Yoga, Gina B Power Walk and Tracy Steen No Repeat Cardio & Strength HIIT Workout. My hips were a little stiff and achy today, so I took it easy and spent part of the afternoon cleaning bathrooms.

I set up reminders for anniversaries for big events in our lives. Four years ago last week the cats and I moved to BR. DH was with us but his actual move didn't happen until May 24.

Laurie, I'm glad you had a great weekend! I can't believe your oldest is going to be 30 either! How nice of your neighbor to plow your driveway!

    Great workouts!

Laurel, I'm so glad you didn't have any damage and that AL didn't get hit as bad as Missippi did. What a horrible thing to have to go through.
Good job attacking that garden! Wow! I am not surprised your back was killing you after all that work!
    Great workouts!

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning's workout was Iron Series Shoulders & Triceps. Feeling the workout, must have used the right amount of weight.

Laurel, Dang on the weather, that is very scary. Great job with getting all that work done outdoors. I noticed the pine needle mulch when we where in FL. We have so much of it around here, but have never thought of using it. :D Does it come in a bag like our chip mulch? Awesome job with the workouts, you got in quite the variety. I know what you mean about the time standing still as you get older. I'm going to be 60 this year, and it just seems like I was turning 50 not that long ago.

Thelma, Great job with the workouts! Wow, it has been 4 years already!! Guess that time really does fly. Our neighbor got a new plow for the front of his lawn tractor, so he is having fun moving the snow around. :D

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a good 45 minute HiiT and Hills ride followed by STS Disc 40/Squat Rack Legs. I am doing a random STS ‘rotation’, and I love mixing up the upper and lower body workouts from different Mesocycles. I also went for a nice walk. The trees are really beginning to turn green now. :)

Thelma, great workouts. But I wouldn’t consider cleaning bathrooms ‘taking it easy’. :) I can’t believe you have been there four years already. That we have been here just slightly longer blows my mind. It certainly doesn’t feel like this is the longest we have lived a place in our 33 years of marriage…..but it is! :o

Laurie, great workout. We get pine straw in bales. I really don’t like pine straw, but where we put it, mulch would wash away. It is about a five foot wide stretch across the back of our yard that butts up against a nature area that the builder didn’t sod. We have toyed with laying sod there and we may some day. But I am not sure it would live there because of lack of sunlight. So….pine straw it is for now. But it sure looks better than the weeds and building materials and trash the builders left for us. :#

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Tuesday were Walking, Yin, Tracy Steen Full Body HIIT - Compound Strength Workout and Tracy Steen Low Impact Cardio and Standing Abs.

Laurie, great workout! I lov that you're feeling the workout!

Time does fly by. Sounds like your neighbor is really enjoying his new toy! LOL

Laurel, great workouts! I love how you're mixing up the workouts!

Cleaning bathrooms is definitely not something considered 'taking it easy' but it was something I can do in stages and take my time. LOL

I can't believe that This is the longest you've livd in a place in 33 of marriage!

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning's workout was Iron Series Glutes & Hamstrings. Another great workout. We went out to dinner to celebrate DH's uncles birthday last night. It was a good dinner, and for a small man he ate everything. :D

So yesterday DH was playing with my cricut. We had a cabinet build so that we can put our coffee maker and Keurig on it. I don't like having these things take up counter space. I found this wood holder at Hobby Lobby, and he painted it and put the cricut letters with the coffee cups.

    wfta8ghmfmit.jpg

Laurel, Great job with the workouts! I will be interested how you feel with mixing up the STS workouts like that. No way to get bored with a mesocycle doing it that way. I'm looking forward to the greening up around here. Will be a little while yet. Great idea for getting something down in that area. Our neighbor took down some more trees this winter, and I'm wondering what he is going to do with all the weeds that will grow now that they have more light. I just don't like the ones that eventually develop burrs.

Thelma, Awesome workouts! That is one chore that I don't enjoy doing, but cleaning bathrooms is a must. :/

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was STS Meso 1 Disc 5/Back and Triceps followed by Cathe Live Cardio Kickboxing, Low Impact HiiT and Abs. It all felt good today.

Thelma, great workouts! Just curious, but do you feel fully recovered from your surgery? From the looks of your workouts, you seem to be back to normal.

Laurie, great workout. I am glad you enjoyed your evening with your DH’s uncle. I love the sign!! He really did a fantastic job with it. This is my third week with the ‘random blended’ STS rotation, and while I know it throws the science behind the program away…..I am loving it. It doesn’t actually feel at all like an STS rotation since I have no clue what workouts I will be doing the next week until I pull them out of a hat. :)

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Wednesday were Walking, Gina B HIIT for Weight Loss, Tracy Steen Upper Body Work It Circuit and Gentle Flow Yoga.

Laurie, great workout! I am so glad you had a great time celebrating your DH's uncle's bday!

I LOVE that sign! He did a fantastic job! Both of you need to set up an Etsy store!

The floor in our shower stalls (2) have those tiny tiles, which means lots of grout, and the walls are tiled too! It's a royal pain!

    Laurel, great workouts!

Thanks so much for asking about my recovery. I am fully recovered and the hematoma is gone or if it's there, I can't feel it anymore. I find it hard to believe that I had surgery, and it feels like it was years ago! LOL

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning's workout was one of my favorites, I did Build & Burn Cardio Core. Yesterday after work I had an appointment for my hair. So I was able to visit with my youngest. She said that she was pre-approved for a home loan. She and her bf are looking to get out of their apartment and into a house. I was super happy for her. Tonight I'm going out with my besties after work. This week has been super busy.

Laurel, Nice job with those workouts! If the rotation of the workouts makes you happy, then that is the most important thing. I can see workout and think that I really want to do that, and then it just doesn't sink with me. DH has been really busy with house projects. I came home last night, and nothing was on the countertops. They are coming today to measure. It just seemed really strange, but I sure do like it. I think that with the coffee/Keurig off the counter, it will be really nice. Now I have to figure out what color I would like DH to paint the walls, since he is keeping himself so busy.

Thelma, Love the workouts! Glad to hear that you are recovered from your operation. I'm sure that it is really nice that you can do a workout without any issues to deal with. I have been toying for a while about an Etsy site. My dd's are always telling me to do something, but I don't think that will happen until I'm retired. Just not enough time in the week to get things like this done. Oh those tiny tiles in the bathroom are painful. We had those in the bathroom at our old house.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a tough 45 minute Tabata spin followed by yoga and Pilates. I was going to head out for a walk but today is the day the fiber optic people have decided to dig up our yard, so I m kind of penned in. :|

Thelma, great workouts. I am so glad to hear you are fully recovered from your surgery and you have no issues from the hematoma. We have tiny tiles in our shower as well and they drive me crazy.

Laurie, great workout. Yay for your youngest on getting a home loan! That is really good news for them. Is she still with Ulta? Just curious. I love that your DH is using his retirement to work on your house. It sounds like he is loving it as well. I would have no idea what color to paint the walls if we were to repaint. I think we lived in rentals for so long that we can’t imagine a wall color that isn’t neutral. At least the builder used a little color in this house (various shades of grey), and that is enough for me. For now. :) I hope you enjoy your evening out.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Thursday were walking, Gina B Low Impact Cardio and Tracy Steen Full Body Strength.

Thursday was hard and I struggled to motivate myself to move. I didn't sleep well and was abruptly awoken by the security alarm going off at 7:30. I had no idea where the alarm was coming from. I thought it was an amber alert, so I grabbed my phone. Eventually it hit me that it was our security alarm, so I got up to disable it. DH went out with the dogs and forgot to disable the alarm. I'm glad this happened because DH had been messing with the volume because he can't stand the loud alerts and voice sounds from the alarm system. He was right outside and didn't hear the alarm going off inside the house, so in the afternoon I had him up the volume. It's crazy that because he doesn't want to hear the alarm settings' voice, he sets the volume as low as possible. It drives me nuts! I am so afraid that the alarm would go off and we'd sleep through it. I almost slept through it myself!

Laurie, great workout! I hope you had a great time with your besties and congratulations to your youngest for getting pre-approved for a home loan!

Thank goodness I've fully recovered from my surgery. The hematoma was uncomfortable for a while. I agree with you that you need to wait till you retire to do Etsy.
    I hate those tiny tiles!

Laurel, great workouts! I hope the fiber optic people won't be there for more than a day or two, but for us it took many times at different stages. Guys kept coming here to mark things up, then a very nice guy kept coming back to check God knows what. One day some guys finally came to dig up all along our two driveways. It was noisy! They were here for 2 or 3 days and left all the cables sticking out of the ground because the tubes they installed were so that the fiber guys could come in later on to feed it through those tubes. Eventually the guys came back to bury everything.

The hematoma had me really stressed out, so I was happy when it started to go down. We have two master bedrooms with two shower stalls with those little tiles. The stalls are very deep because there are his/hers side-by-side showers. Thankfully the walls have large tiles!

    Have a great weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

Had a very nice time with my gf's. One of my friends informed us that her Dad has lung cancer. :/ He is in a nursing home, so they will be finding out on Tuesday how they want to proceed. My workout this morning was RAW Upper Body Finisher (Arms & Shoulders). Used weight heavy enough for me to handle, so it felt great.

Laurel, Great job with the workouts! Sorry that you where not able to get in a walk with the crew in your way. Hopefully they are out of there quickly. Our youngest is still with Ulta, and she is now a Master Stylist. She has only a few hours a week to get to Elite. She thinks that she may be able to achieve that this year. A stylist at another Ulta retired, and she has been referring all her clients to our dd. Right now we have a yellow, and I'm thinking we change it to a shade of beige. I'm thinking more on the med-dark side of that hue. When we built our house, every room was the same color. It has taken time, but most of the rooms have been painted.

Thelma, Nice job with those workouts! Not my favorite way to wake up in the morning, so understand your concern with not hearing the alarm.

    Have a great weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Cathe’s live class from yesterday which was Mixed Impact Cardio Express. It was a short, not intense workout that, as she said, would be good on a rushed day or as an add-on. I used it as an add-on and followed it with Drill Max. That made for a really good workout combo.

Thelma, great workouts despite the rough day. I completely understand what you are saying about your security system. I would definitely want the alarm loud enough to wake us up and scare anybody trying to break in. Anyhow, our fiber optic guys are moving really quickly. They have a few things to finish up, but I am free to roam around outside again. :)

Laurie, great workout. I am glad you enjoyed your night out, but I am sorry to hear your friend’s father has cancer. That is such tough news to digest. Wow, your DD is really excelling at Ulta! That is fantastic for her. My niece graduated from cosmetology school in October but seems a little hesitant (that is putting it nicely) to find a job. In fact, she doesn’t have her certification yet. She is actually driving my sister crazy with this. :# But her student loans are going to start needing to get paid soon, and that will bring an element of reality to life. :)

    Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Ladies, I hope you had a nice weekend! We had an incredibly windy Saturday. We had wind gusts of up to 50mph. Sunday was beautiful with lots of sun and warmer temps.

Four of my five Peony plants are full of little buds! I'm so excited! One of my butterfly bushes did die. I think the other one is still alive because I see some green leaves at the base of the plant. I also heard that the hummingbirds are already here, so I put my feeders out.

My workouts on Friday were Gentle Flow Yoga and Tracy Steen INNER and OUTER Thigh Workout.
    Saturday - walking
Sunday - Walking and Tracy Steen Upper Body Strength

Laurie, I'm glad you had a great time with your friends. I'm sorry about your friend's father though.
    Great workout!

How exciting about DD being a Master Stylist and will soon achieve the Elite level! How nice of the other stylist to refer her clients to your DD!!

    Laurel, fantastic workouts!

DH increased the volume in the alarm system, so hopefully it will be much louder next time.

I'm glad your fiber guys are moving quickly. They had serious digging to do here along our two driveways.

I hope you didn't get hit too badly by the winds. We didn't suffer any damages, but there were power outages around the county due to trees falling over the electric cables. We were under fire warning on Sunday due to the low humidity.

    Have a great week!

    Morning Ladies,

Had a very nice relaxing weekend. I didn't do anything, besides cleaning and sewing on my part.

My workouts where Saturday a long walk, Sunday was RAW Stretch / Walk, and this morning was Iron Series Leg Day . I'm thinking of incorporating some of Caroline's other workout into my rotation. We will see how I feel.

Laurel, Awesome job with the workouts! I really do like when instructors do those short workouts that you can add on. Kelly did that with her RAW workouts, and it is nice to just do something different. My dd was kind of like that right after she graduated. I think that she just needed some time to just do nothing. We did make her set a date to take her test for certification though. I hope that your niece gets motivated, just for your sisters sanity. ;) If I remember when I first graduated, it took me a while to get my resume out to places.

Thelma, Glad to hear that your weekend was a good one. Nice that your Peony's have buds. I have never had luck with butterfly bushes in our area. They never lasted through the winters around her, even though they said that it would be fine for our zone. Hopefully you will have lot's of those hummingbirds this year. Great job with all your workouts!

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Ours started, again, with a wicked storm in the middle of the night on Friday. At least we didn’t have any tornado warning here even though a pretty big one touched down in the northern part of the county. But the lightening was off the charts. :o Saturday was windy all day, so we did chores and ran errands. Yesterday was beautiful so, of course, that meant DH was on another plane headed off for another work trip. :/ But I gave the house a thorough cleaning before sitting outside with a good book. :)

For workouts, on Saturday I did a walk with Jessica and 45 minutes of yoga. Sunday was a 45 minute spin and STS Disc 29/Plyo Legs. Today was STS Disc 22/Chest, Shoulders and Triceps, Cathe’s To The Max DVD (still tough! :) ) and 20 minutes of yoga.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad some of your butterfly bushes survived. I am going to take a walk around the yard after it stops raining this afternoon to see whether we have any more signs of life. I am getting a little discouraged now that it is April. But I have my fingers crossed that this rain followed by warm air and sunshine tomorrow will start waking these plants up. We’ve had our hummingbird feeders out for a couple of weeks but no sightings yet. I am glad you didn’t get any damage with the storm. Those fire warnings are somewhat concerning though. Is this unusual?

Laurie, I love the sound of your weekend. And great workouts! Thanks for letting me know your DD was the same way after cosmetology school. My niece took a certification test in February but didn’t pass. She has another one scheduled for next week. My sister was fine with her taking a break for a couple of months, but now my niece and her fiancé are moving in together and neither one of them has a job. :o So….it is going to be a little interesting. Her fiancé’s parents seem able and, to some degree, willing, to keep paying his way. But my sister is less inclined (and able) to continue paying for her food and gas money and such so…..we’ll see how this goes.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Monday were Walking, YinYasa Yoga, Gina B's 3000 Steps and Tracy Steen Intense Cardio & Strength Circus Circuit. Tracy's workout was awesome. It was another sweat fest. It was a fast-moving workout.

    Laurie, great workouts!

I had butterfly bushes in MA, and they survived the winters. I think the one I bought here in GA wasn't that hardy. The other one that appears to be alive, I ordered online. I hope it is alive because this is the one, I'd like to save. I don't expect lots of hummingbirds, but at least my usual 2-4.

Laurel, OMG these storms are so scary! I don't remember lightening but I'm sure there was some. I'm so glad you are OK. Sounds like your DH is doing a lot more traveling lately!

    Great workouts!

I'm not quite sure the butterfly bush is alive. I'll have to see what happens in the next few weeks. I just don't remember leaves growing at the base of the plant. If this is the case, I think all the existing branches are dead. I hope your plants start waking up, Laurel.
Monday morning started out with rain, but it stopped before noontime. No hummingbird sighting for us yet either.
The fire warnings are concerning, but they are not unusual around here. We had controlled fires in the national forests here, TN and NC on the same day last week. The valley was engulfed in thick smoke. It was the first time I could smell the wood burning. Thank God now I get those alerts!

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning's workout was Iron Series Chest & Triceps. Didn't sleep well last night, we had rain, so my sinuses started acting up. I don't enjoy this time of the year at all.

Laurel, Good that you had one day to have your DH help with those errands. Sounds like we all are getting the rain/storms. Sounds like this is going to be one of those years for tornados. We had some in the western part of the state this past weekend. Glad to hear that you where able to sit down and read. I was able to get through the In Death series, it took me about a year, but I did it. :D There are 56 books, and the next one is scheduled to be released in September. Great job with all those workouts! I'm impressed that you did the To the Max. I'm sure that yoga felt great afterward. I can see why your sister is wanting your niece to get motivated. Hopefully she doesn't stop trying to pass that test. ;)

Thelma, Glad that you enjoyed your workouts, and that you had the sweat flowing. :D I to hope that your hummingbird bush is going to survive. We have storms again today, so I'm hoping this starts the growing for our area. I think that I see buds on the trees here at work. That is something that is encouraging.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a really fun 45 minute spin followed by STS Disc 9/Legs and the Ab work from Pure Strength Legs. We had rain much of yesterday and this morning were covered in thick fog. It is almost noon and is just now lifting. The high today is supposed to be 83, and it is warm and humid. But I was kind of hoping for sunshine to go along with it. :) I tried to go for a walk, but the fiber optic guys pretty much have every path away from our house blocked, so…..maybe tomorrow.

Thelma, great workouts. DH did some research this winter to see what we could do with our plants that might have died. One suggestion was to cut the ‘dead’ ones back to the roots. It could be your bush is still alive, and just needs to be cut back. I am seeing more and more leaves popping up on some of our bushes, but I am still not convinced they will be coming all of the way back. This time last year our azaleas were getting ready to bloom, and they don’t even have leaves this year. But they are covered in buds, so I remain hopeful. Anyhow, I am glad they do controlled burns around you. That means they are actively monitoring the fire threat, which is good. Our humidity must be higher than yours, but we are at a lower altitude so that is possible.

Laurie, great workout. I am sorry to hear about your sinus issues. Since we have moved here, I always think of April as the month where I have a constant headache. Sounds like you have the same problem. We had three tornado warnings where we live in the span of two weeks last month. It is definitely a bad year for tornadoes. So sad how destructive they are. 56 books in a year is a great reading pace!! I have a tendency to read multiple books at once so sometimes a simple book can take me months to read. And other times, a couple of days is all I need. I like those days. :D

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, I pulled something on my back. I had a bad day. I had to keep my workouts light. I did Yin and two walking sessions. I did a lot of stretching, icing and took Aleve. Hopefully I'll be better in the morning. I the injury happened during the Yin class. The easiest of all classes!

Dogwoods and other spring flowering trees are blooming. I see buds all over the other trees around our property too.

Laurie, great workout! I'm sorry about your sinuses. I hope you feel better soon.

Hopefully all that rain will start the growing season there.

Laurel, great workouts! It was warm here too but not humid. Sorry about the fiber optic guys blocking all the paths away from your house.

I think I am going to cut the butterfly bushes back to the roots. Thanks for mentioning your DH research findings! The plants we saved kept in the garage are doing well, now that DH took them outside.

I'm glad you're seeing more signs of life around your garden. Your azaleas sound like they are very much alive.

I am glad there are controlled burns in the National Forests. I read a post on FB from a local hunter that these controlled burns kill a lot of animals and that is not something I'd thought of at all. It made me very sad. I wish I hadn't read the post.

The rangers definitely monitor the fire threat around here all the time.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning's workout was Iron Series Glutes, Hamstrings & Back. Really enjoyed the variety in this workout. Had storms off and on all day yesterday, and then it started again right after we finished our walk this morning. :)

Tomorrow I'll be babysitting, so don't know if I will be online.

Laurel, Nice job with those workout. To bad that the crew is still working on that cable project in front of your house. I thought they would be done and moved onto the next location by now. :o The one thing that does help my headaches is working out. So far they have not been to bad, but still bother me when the fronts come through in the middle of the night. When a book is really good, I can get through them fairly fast. Right now I think that I have two books that I'm working on. One of them is moving really slow, and the content isn't that interesting. I think that I will have to give up on this author, she has not been putting out compelling books lately. I read the first book in the series that Susan Grafton created, unfortunately she passed away before she finished the last book. The first book was really good, so when I finish this slow book, I will probably stick with the Grafton series. I do have to admit that the first one caused me to have a nightmare. I don't think that has ever happened to me before.

Thelma, Dang on the back, but great job with getting in the stretching and walks. We are still seeing buds, but they are getting more noticeable every day. What type of plants did you keep in the garage?

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was STS Disc 24/Back and Biceps, Cathe Live Rock It Sock It and yoga. I also was able to take a walk. The fiber optic guys have finally moved on to the next block, and I think they will be out of the neighborhood by the end of the week. The walk felt good because it is 80 degrees right now. B) Of course, that means strong storms are predicted tonight as a cold front passes through. But spring is really beginning to take effect here, so I welcome the rain. The tornadoes and hail and wind can stay away. :)

Thelma, I am sorry to hear about your back. Hopefully it feels better today. I once hurt my knee really badly doing yoga and I was like ‘how?’. So I understand your frustration at being injured doing a soothing workout. I’m glad the plants you stored in the garage survived the winter. I put our fern back outside yesterday, but I still have a hibiscus and two bougainvillea inside. But the hibiscus and one bougainvillea are blooming beautifully which makes me happy. I don’t think I will put them out for another month though. They are too heavy to move in and out very often.

Laurie, great workout. I saw that somewhere in Wisconsin got hammered with hail in this storm. I hope it avoided you and your family. Enjoy your day babysitting! I read the Sue Grafton series up until R (I think). I like her books. What makes that series so unique is, since she started writing them in the 80s, she kept all of them in the 80s. Most series update into the time they are written, and I liked that she did that because it makes the passage of time between the books seem more genuine. In other words, the character isn’t watching a tube TV in book 3 and talking on a cell phone in book 6 after supposedly a few months have passed in her life. I used to read pretty much nothing but series of books, but over the last year or so, I find myself gravitating more to unique, on-off books. I think I was finding that the series books were being pushed out so quickly and the stories (and writing) were suffering. One series I enjoy, though, are the Inspector Gamache books from Louise Penny. I enjoy the Canadian setting and am learning lot about Canada from them. But I am only half way through the series, so my impression could change with more of them.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Wednesday were Gina B's 3000 Steps, Gentle Flow Yoga, Tracy Steen Trouble Spot Workout and Walking. Thankfully my back is back to normal.

Laurie, great workout! How nice of the storm to wait for you to get home!

We kept in the garage ferns, gardenia, miniature Rose of Sharon and a tropical plant which name I can't remember.

Enjoy your time with the baby!

Laurel, great workouts! I'm so glad you finally were able to get your walk in!
We were also in the low 80's. It did feel a little muggy.

Thank goodness my back was fine by morning. It really is frustrating how injuries can happen.
Good idea to wait a little longer to take the bougainvillea and hibiscus.

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a tough but fun 60 minute climb spin. It has been forever since I have done one of those, and I loved it today. I followed it with Cathe Live Sore To The Core. Good stuff.

Thelma, great workouts. I am so glad to hear your back is feeling normal again. We were very muggy and warm yesterday, but the threatened violent storms never appeared, and I am okay with that. We had a little wind and rain, but nothing else. I am seeing more and more buds on our shrubs now. They are a long way from being green, but it also appears most are not dead. That makes me so happy. We have never loved the choices of plants the builder put in, but I suppose we like them more than we thought based on our reaction when we believed they might have died. But I also think we were realizing how much work (and money) it would be to replace them, which may explain our sudden affection for them. :D We had our first hummingbird last night!!! So they are back. :)

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Thursday were Walking, Jessica Smith Power Walking and Tracy Steen Body Weight Hiit Workout. I was pretty much low on energy all day, but I forced myself to workout and it felt great.

Laurel, I saw my first hummingbird on Thursday morning! I'm a happy camper! :) I've kept track of their arrival date since 2021 and they pretty much arrive around this date, in 2021 they arrived on 4/7, in 2022 on 4/10 and in 2023 on 4/6. I'm so happy they arrive there too!

    Great workout combo!!
I'm so glad the violent storms never appeared in your area! We are expecting rain on Saturday and much cooler temps.
I'm so happy your shrubs are alive. Either you like them, or you have simply gotten used to them. LOL. I think the thought of the work and money it would take to replace the shrubs is enough to be happy they're still alive! LOL

    Have a great weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

Had a really great time with the grandson. He is a very good baby, and so enjoys laying on his back and just kicking. We where able to get out for a walk, and since my dd lives by the lake, we went down the path to the lake. Very brisk, but sunny day.

My workouts where CG's Bodyweight Abs, Core & Balance. (feeling that one today :D ) This morning was RAW Stretch, of course this felt great.

Laurel, Great job with the workout, and having such nice temps for the walk. We didn't get the hail, which I'm thankful for. Our temps did go from the 70's to 20 in a 24 hour period. Just crazy. When we went tot the Dells, the lady that owns the used bookstore that we went to recommended the Grafton series just based on the authors that I enjoy reading. When we where there I bought all the books that she by the author Anne Perry, and it was for the Pitt series. They start in the victorian era. I had started this series, and then had to stop. I just remember that the characters made me laugh, and had good a excellent plot. I will put the Louise Penny books on my list of things that may be of interest in the future. :D I just love to read. So glad to hear that the crew has moved onto the next block.

Thelma, So glad to hear that your back is normal again, and that you got in some great workouts. I had a bit of a problem today, the workout that I had scheduled didn't appeal to me. I felt that I needed to do the stretch instead of cardio. Probably all those planks, but the stretch felt good. Sounds like the hummingbirds know that you have food for them and hopefully will be telling all their friends. ;) Still looking at the buds on the trees, so happy that you both are seeing the green.

Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Easter!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was another one I haven’t done (in full) in years…..Cathe’s Body Max 2 workout. And just like To The Max, this one is still a tough workout. :) But I enjoyed it today.

Thelma, great workouts despite the low energy. I am so happy you are beginning to see hummingbirds too. It is ridiculous how excited it get when they come and visit. We had buckets of rain last night and it is getting cold now. But this rain is working magic on bringing things back to life. Every day looks different now, and I am loving it.

Laurie, great workouts. And great job listening to your body and doing a good stretch today. Some days after doing a lot of planks, my lower back can be kind of cranky and needs a lot of stretching. Temperatures falling 50 degrees in a day is just no good, but I am glad the hail didn’t accompany it where you are at. I am definitely going to look at the Anne Perry series. That sounds like something I would enjoy. Thank you for the recommendation. I am glad you enjoyed your time with your grandson. No doubt you are looking forward to more days like yesterday.

    Happy Easter!

Hi Ladies, I hope you had a good Easter weekend. We went to a friend's house for Easter. It was a lot of fun and there was a lot of food.
Early Friday morning we had really heavy rain. We got almost two inches of rain in less than 5 hours. The rain eventually stopped at about 11am, but it started again late Friday night. It rained all day Saturday until about 6pm. In total we got 3 inches of rain.

My workouts on Friday were Gentle Flow yoga, walking and Tracy Steen Upper Body Strength.
    Saturday- walking
Sunday - Tracy Steen No Repeat Leg Day and walking.

Laurie, I'm glad you had a great time with your grandson and that he is a good baby. I'm sure he feels a lot better after his surgery.

Great workouts! Good call in listening to your body. Taking the time to stretch is always good.
Trees here are looking full of young leaves. Every time it rains things pop more. One of my hydrangeas started to show signs of life with some leaves and now they are gone, and I don't see any leaves anywhere. I hope it's still alive.

Laurel, great workouts! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I completely understand what you mean about getting all excited when you see a hummingbird. I get like that too and have to announce it "there's my hummily at the feeder!" LOL
Of course, I stop doing whatever I'm doing just too look at it.
That rain was incredible! I can't believe how hard it rained. As DH and I say, there was a lot of popage happening with the trees and plants.

    Have a great week!

    Morning Ladies,

Had a busy but really beautiful weekend. It started out on Saturday with cleaning the altar at the church to get ready for Sunday morning. Sunday was a beautiful day around here, and the services where both very nice. I had to stay for both since I had to sing at both, and I also had to clean up after the late service. I got home by noon, so it all worked out. We did have the family over for dinner, so as soon as I got home I was busy cooking. Nothing spectacular, since the only thing that I put in the oven was the ham. I now have a lot of ham, and will have to freeze in portions. Of course I was busy looking for recipes that I could gauge how much to individually freeze. I will be without a stove for a portion of next week. So I will have to pull out my slow cooker.

Next week we will have the grandson. DD decided not to take him on their trip. I did tell her if they didn't get his passport on time, that we would be willing to have him stay with us. I didn't want her to worry about the passport and have to get ready for a trip. I'm going to talk to my boss, and I'm sure that he will be willing to let me work from home. I will have to come in for a part of the day to handle some packages. DH should be able to handle the baby for some of the day. :o

So with all that I didn't workout at all this weekend. I did do a lot of walking though. This morning's workout was 30MTF BoxFit W3. This one is a circuit workout mixed with weights.

Laurel, What a great workout! I have not done that one in forever, and so glad that you enjoyed it. That is the area that my body was feeling it, so you are probably right about the planks. More stretching on my part will be in the mix. Nice that I gave you another author to try out. I read most of the series from the online service, so you get to check out the book for a few weeks and then it disappears or you have to renew.

Thelma, Glad to hear that you had a nice Easter with friends and good food. Awesome job with all your workouts! I do hope that your hydrangea is okay. Our daffodils are about ready to pop, so I'm looking forward to seeing some color. But that will mean that we need to get outside to do some cleaning up, since the snow has finally disappeared.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Mine was very quiet since DH is still away. I used the time to do some indoor (Saturday) and outdoor (Sunday) chores. It rained all day on Saturday so I really had to convince myself to do something, but I ended up with a clean pantry and spice cabinet. But I also did a lot of reading. :)

For workouts, on Saturday I did LITE Rev’d Up Rumble and 45 minutes of yoga. Yesterday was a 45 minute spin, STS Disc 12/Legs and 30 minutes of Pilates. Today was STS Disc 28/Chest and Back, Cathe LIVE Cardio HiiT Plus Core and 20 minutes of yoga. It is a beautiful day here with very seasonal temperatures so I took a nice walk as well.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad you enjoyed your Easter. I have no idea how much it rained here but it seemed like lot. I hope your hydrangea is alive. I keep thinking things are bouncing back…..and then they stop. But the big trees are definitely popping out, which is nice. But most everything else has a few leaves and that’s about it. Kind of disheartening.

Laurie, sounds like a wonderful weekend. I have found frozen ham freezes really well and is good for a considerable time. I bet you are looking forward to next week with your grandson. I completely understand your DD making that decision. Trips with babies that young are difficult for sure. Great workout this morning.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, I was a bit ambitious with my workouts on Monday! I didn't do it all at once. I did two workouts in the morning and two in the late afternoon.
My workouts were Walking, YinYasa Yoga, Gina B Latin Party and Tracy Steen Spring Vortex Total Body Cardio & Strength Workout.
Tracy's workout was the killer workout of the day. I hadn't done such a long workout in forever! It was 80 minutes long. Even though it was an all-body workout, she definitely focused more on the triceps which I loved. There were 3 circuits, with a cardio and a strength segment, repeated 3 times. There were 5 exercises per segment.

Laurie, you did have a busy weekend! I'm glad it was a beautiful one weather wise, at church and family!
The only way we're going to eat ham is when we go to our friends' house for the holidays. They only sell giant hams and it's just the two of us. The last time we made a ham we ended up freezing it too.

I think your DD made an excellent choice not taking the baby on their trip. He is too young, and she is fortunate to have you and your DH to take care of her precious baby. I hope your boss won't have a problem allowing you to work from home, especially when you'll be in part of the day to handle the packages.

Great workouts! Walking counts as a workout!

I hope my hydrangea is OK too. I was looking at it today, but I didn't see any leaves. I am hopeful that the plant isn't dead since it had some leaves. One of my butterfly bushes is dead though. I can't believe your daffodils are about to pop just now! Our daffodil season was a long time ago! LOL

Laurel sounds like you had a very productive weekend!
    Fantastic workouts!!
I'm sure you got as much rain as we did! It really is disheartening to see a few leaves pop out and then, nothing!
I did get my mixed flower baskets last week. At least I have instant flowers now! LOL. I set up a reminder last year to remind me the time of the year those baskets are available at our local supermarket. ‪I guess they have them for Easter.

    See you tomorrow!
