Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 20 minute spin into RWH LIHI Legs, and on that one I did the premix that had the core work added throughout. I finished it with a yummy (as Thelma would say) 20 minute yoga session from Peloton.

Thelma, great workouts. But I am really sorry about your shoulder. I am glad you got an appointment and hope you can get some answers. We bought a new Peony this year and it started blooming today. What a beautiful addition to our garden. Like you, our Clematis are in bloom, as well as our rhododendron, but our hydrangeas are still in the leafing/growing stage. But both are late bloomers. I have even seen a couple of hummingbirds lately!! They didn’t stick around, but they did stop by for a minute. Sounds like a trip to the toy store is in your future for your rooster. 🙂

Laurie, great workouts. I love the sound of that cardio workout. I bet you are getting anxious to see things start to bloom now. It’s unfortunate that the weeds are always the first things to start growing. I really am enjoying this ‘whatever’ approach to working out I have going right now. I have no dread, and that is a good thing.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies. My ortho appointment went well. The doctor thinks my problems are coming from pinched nerves in my neck due the vertebra misalignment issue I have. He recommended that I take muscle relaxers to calm things down. I felt great after the muscle relaxer kicked in, but as it started to wear off everything tensed up again. It's making me see that the doctor is right and the problem is coming from my neck. I don't know how we unpinch these nerves if my vertebra is misaligned. All I can think of is that Jenga game. The doctor actually wanted to give me a steroid injection. I was horrified when he suggested it and my answer was a hard NO. I told him I'm not in any kind of pain that would require that.

I also have tendonitis and an internal rotation issue on my right side. I have to go to PT for 6-8 weeks. I'll have my evaluation appointment on 5/8. The doctor told me that I can keep exercising, but I'm scared to do upper body lifting.

On the good news side, the doctor was very impressed with how well I'd recovered from the shoulder repair surgery. He was happy with my range of motion and strength. It's hard to get a smile out of this guy, but he smiled when he was testing my range of motion and strength. I told the doctor I'd worked very hard to make sure I recovered my strength and range of motion. He said it showed. He made my day with that.

My workouts today were walking, abs and a Gina B low impact workout.
It's a week full of medical appointments for me. Monday the dentist, Tuesday the orthopedic surgeon, Wednesday the vet for my cat and Thursday the rheumatologist.

    Laurie, great workouts!!
I hope my rooster falls in love with the stuffed toys too.
Sorry your DH wouldn't like the cauliflower recipe.
How sweet that your girls spent a day together with the babies! I'm sure your oldest gs looked adorable with the straw mustache. LOL.

Laurel, great workouts! I love that premix with the ab exercises throughout. I'm so glad you enjoyed the yoga class.
I love Peonies. I wish someone would figure out how to make them bloom twice a year. Our hydrangea has two blooming seasons. I made sure of that because I didn't want to wait too long to have flowers.
We have one or two hummingbirds. I think this is the time of the year when they don't need too much of our syrup because they get their nectar from flowers.

I ordered the cheapest stuffed toys I could get at Walmart.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout last night was really a workout, but something that for sure I needed and DH needs more of. We did PJ's Lower Body Stretches. This morning I did Kettlebell Kickboxing Swings.

Laurel, Great job with the workouts! Always nice to mix in the ab work. Nice that you had sighting of those hummingbirds. I have family members that keep posting different bird pics, the pics are so vivid. Everyday that I look out the window at work I see the leaves getting bigger and bigger. Right now our pear tree is blooming with beautiful flowers. DH had to mow the lawn for the first time yesterday. 😉

Thelma, Good job with the workouts! You have a very busy week going on. Glad to hear that your shoulder is okay, but of course those pinched nerves are painful. I have had that in the past, and those muscle relaxers sure did help. Nice that you will be getting PT for your other issues. LOL about buying the cheapest stuffed animals, that is a great idea.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was RWH LIHI Back, Shoulders and Biceps, RWH Low Impact HiiT One, and the Anytime Mobility Bonus from LMR. It all felt good today.

Thelma, that’s a bit of mixed news on your injury. But, like Laurie, I am so glad the issue isn’t your shoulder. That is fantastic news. I also hope the PT helps with your other issues. But pinched nerves are no fun. I hope the relaxants help. You really have a busy week this week for sure. I have a hummingbird feeder outside of the window in the room where I read in the afternoons. That feeder seems to now be owned by a house finch. At first I thought the bird was just confused, but it comes back often and seems to enjoy drinking the nectar. This is the first time we have had a bird claim one of our hummingbird feeders, but according to what I have read, it should be okay. I don’t mind her company. 🙂

Laurie, great workouts. Stretches indeed are necessary. We are the time of year where we are getting some great birds through here. We sit on the deck every night and are like ‘there’s a blue jay’ or ‘did you see that finch?’ We lead such exciting lives. 😂 I bet you are glad to see things filling in. Your DH and the lawn mowing…..he probably isn’t quite as happy.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! The muscle relaxant really helped, and I've only taken one dose.
My workouts on Wednesday were walking and Tracy Steen Sexy Arms. I used 2, 3 and 5lb weights. I didn't want to hurt myself, so I kept the weights light.

Roosty's toys arrived. I put one out for him, but he's not going for it yet. He is interested because he keeps looking at it. LOL

    Laurie, great workouts!
Thankfully the pinched nerve is not causing me a lot of pain. It's more discomfort and throbbing.

    Laurel, great workouts!!
Pinched nerves are not fun at all. I am glad the muscle relaxant has helped so much.
I can't believe the house finch has taken over your hummingbird feeder. That's great! Birds are great company!!

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout last night was a surprise for me in that I'm really feeling it today. We did PJ's Upper Body Workout - No Equipment. Doing these type of workouts makes you really concentrate on the muscle you are working, and she did some really good moves. This morning was a Yin Yoga session.

Laurel, Awesome workouts! I like your exciting life, and really want to start enjoying those moments starting next month! 😀 DH was talking about our patio yesterday, and saying we may need to take up the pavers and put new sand down. The project list is growing every day. No DH isn't happy about the lawn mowing, and it appears that I will probably have to be the one using the weed wacker. That isn't a job he likes, but I like how the lawn looks when it doesn't have long grass along my garden boarders. 😁

Thelma, Great job with the workouts, and of course adjusting those weights for your pinched nerve. You really don't want to cause an injury for sure. Sounds like Roosty just needs to have the toys around for a bit, before he attempts to explore. Never know if one of those things will attack! 😄 Glad to hear that the relaxant is working.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 45 minute low impact spin into Cathe Live Push-ups, Sit-ups, and Planks Oh My. This latter workout was not nearly as tough as I thought it might be which was great for me today. I finished it all up with some Peloton yoga focused on hips.

Thelma, great workouts. I think you are wise to keep the weights light right now. I am so happy the muscle relaxants helped. Like Laurie said, it may take a minute for your rooster to develop an attraction to one of his new playmates. But he probably will. 🙂 We are in for some severe weather today. Hope it misses you or if it doesn’t, all you get is rain.

Laurie, great workouts. I find the same from body weight workouts. They are far tougher than it would seem. I bet you are marking days off your calendar now until retirement! The nice thing about having a project list when you aren’t working is just knowing you have the time to do it. It makes it all so much more enjoyable. It looks like DH is going to have to start traveling again 😢 so it looks like I might need to start mowing the lawn. And, unfortunately, we had to replace the lawn mower that I just come to an understanding with. So now I have to train a new one not to carry me off down the street somewhere. Sigh. 😉

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! We woke up to rain and got .2". We're expecting more rain on Friday and Saturday.
It was a long day because of my visit to the rheumatologist, one hour ride each way and then 1 hour waiting to see the doctor and 1/2 hour to do the check-out process. All my labs look good, which is always great news. I'll have to go for a bone density test as soon as I can get it scheduled.

My shoulder feels pretty good, which means the inflammation I had has gone down. I know I still have tendonitis, so I've continued to ice and I'm looking forward to the PT so I can learn to stabilize my scapula and get the tendonitis treated. I have yet to take another muscle relaxer.

Wednesday's upper body workout had a squat into shoulder press repeater between each arm exercise. I am feeling the squats!
Thursday's workouts were walking and Low Impact Hiit.

Laurie, great workouts! I'm glad you and your DH are enjoying PJs workouts so much. One month to go before retirement! You must be getting so excited! :)
You won't have any problems staying busy after retirement from the sounds of your project list! LOL

I think Roosty will eventually mate with the toys. I just don't think he's fully hormonal yet.

    Laurel, great workouts!

Sometimes medicines like muscle relaxants are beneficial. I really don't like taking stuff like this, but one dose was all I needed to feel better.

Like I was telling Laurie, I don't think Roosty is the in full hormonal phase yet. I think he's in the learning phase.

We didn't have any severe weather here. I hope you guys are OK. It was cloudy all day and at about 6PM it appeared that we were going to get a massive storm, but nothing happened.

I'm sorry to hear your DH is going to have to start traveling again and that you have to train a new lawnmower!

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout yesterday was PJ's Lower Body Workout. Again this was no equipment, I would call it barre type work. It was another one that she toasted the muscle, which was our glutes. 😉 This morning I did a short yoga workout.

Laurel, Love the workouts! Sounds like both of us are on the yoga kick. Thinking that this month I will see if I can actually get through 30 days straight of yoga so that I can continue with longer ones once I'm home. LOL about the lawnmower. Sorry that your DH has to leave again for work, and maybe this lawnmower is not possessed. 😂

Thelma, Nice job with the workouts! That is a lot of what seems to be downtime, but glad to hear that everything looks good. We are really enjoying the PJ workouts, she moves at the right pace for DH. I think it may be because she does admit to having knee issues, and takes the workouts down to a level that she can handle. She does do high impact, but when she is having issues she does the low impact option that she gives. Yes our list is a big one, but now we will need to prioritize which ones to do first.

    Have a great weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout started with a 15 minute spin into RWH HiiT Circuit Upper Body and ended with 15 minutes of Peloton Pilates. I have been pretty good this week adding recovery workouts in. I hope I continue the trend because I have enjoyed it.

Thelma, great workouts. Sounds like a long day at the doctor but I am glad everything looks okay. And I am glad your shoulder feels better. Like you, I don’t like taking drugs, but when you need them, they really can make a huge difference. We didn’t end up getting any storms or rain yesterday. It looked threatening a few times, but nothing. We are supposed to get high winds today. I’d rather have rain. 😕

Laurie, great workouts. I really have been trying to add more recovery workouts this week, and it does feel really good to do it. My knee had been really bothering me over the last little bit, and it feels so much better with just a little TLC. I might try 30 days of yoga in June just to see how it feels.

    Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Ladies! I hope you had a nice weekend. Friday and Saturday were very rainy. Our rain gauge said that we'd only gotten .08" of rain, but I think it was more because we got a lot of sideways rain. We also got baby hail.

My shoulder is feeling almost normal, but I know it's not.
My workouts on Friday were walking and yoga.
    Saturday walking.
Sunday walking and CG Iron - Day 30 Arms, Core and Abs. I loved this workout. It was the last Iron workout of the rotation. I skipped two full body workouts, but I think I will do at least one of them this week. I incresed my weights from the baby weights I used last week.
I still haven't decided what rotation I'm doing next. I'm waiting to see what the PT tells me on Thursday.

    Laurie, great workouts!
You were lucky to have found a YT trainer who has knee injuries and knows how to modify the leg exrcises.

Laurel, great workouts and good job adding recovery type workouts to your rotation.

I am sorry you didn't get any rain on Friday.

    Have a great week!

    Morning Ladies,

We had a really busy but nice weekend. On Sunday we took advantage of the Mother Day Sale at the local tree nursery. We purchased a Brilliant Pear Tree, and that should add some color to our fall.

Saturday I got in my yoga, and then DH and I did PJ's All Standing Tabata Workout. Another good one. On Sunday I was able to get in another yoga, good thing I'm keeping these to short sessions. If they where longer, I probably would say nope. 😀

Laurel, Great job with the workouts! If I can get through this month doing a yoga workout every day then I'm with you for the month of June also. Yoga always makes me aware of my core, so know it is a benefit. Glad that you where able to give your knee some TLC. That joint just seems to have more issues as we age. There are at least three people that I know that have had knee surgery. I so want to avoid that.

Thelma, Awesome job with all the workouts! Great idea to see what the PT will indicate what is advisable for you to do. Those full body workouts of Caroline's are always pretty good.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! I hope you had a good weekend. Ours was busy despite some pretty wicked storms. We also had two bad storms on Friday late in the afternoon. Those ones had hail. The one—the worst one by far—on Saturday had high winds. Thankfully we had no damage, but lightening did cut a tree in half about two houses down and a house on the road behind ours had a huge amount of damage from a tree falling on it. Yesterday was calmer and cooler, which was very welcomed. We spent the weekend doing a blend of errands and chores.

For workouts, on Saturday I did a walk with Jessica Smith and 45 minutes of Peloton yoga. Yesterday was a tough 60 minute spin into a 20 minute Perfect 30 Yoga Strength and Flexibility premix. Today was Perfect 30 Upper Body with the bonus moves, a more tolerable 30 minute spin, and a 30 minute yoga/pilates combo workout from Peloton.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad your shoulder is feeling better, but I will be curious what your PT has to say on Thursday. Hopefully he/she can give you some exercises to help with the tendonitis. I have no idea how much rain we got over the last few days, but it was a lot. It has been a while since we have had storms quite like that.

Laurie, great workouts. A pear tree sounds like a wonderful addition to your yard! So far so good on me doing yoga workouts. I know I will miss a few days this month because of some appointments and a mini-trip we have planned. But if I get some form of yoga, mobility or Pilates in every day this month that I can do them, then I would love to take that into June with you. Like you, what I am finding is I love the core challenge, especially because it is total core focused and not so isolated like crunches. Even after a week I feel more strength in everything I do.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Monday were walking, warm yoga and Tracy Steen No Repeat Legs. My shoulder was a little irritated due to the arm workout on Sunday. I iced after yoga and that made my arm feel p

We're back to cooler weather. I don't know if we ever hit 60 degrees on Monday.

Laurie, great workouts! Congrats on the new tree!
Caroline's full body workouts have lots of crazy burpees, but they are good workouts.

Laurel, I'm glad your home did't suffer any damages from those storms. We strong winds at times too. I just looked at the drought monitor website and we are finally out of the dry conditions! Yaay!

    Great workouts!

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout yesterday was PJ's Walking Workout. This morning was another yoga workout. I'm following Yoga with Adriene and doing the True 30 Day yoga Journey. So far I like it, because this series is a slow progression into the yoga moves. I'm learning to understand some of the language that is used because she brings it down to non yogi terms. 😀 I'm sure that you both can understand what I mean. She refers to the center as the third eye, so that is something that I can understand. 😂

Laurel, Great job with your workouts! So glad to hear that your house was spared any damage, but that isn't great about some of your neighbors. Very scary experience. Glad that I decided to go with the slow progress yoga journey. I think if I had tried to do something more difficult, I would be failing right now. Of course as the saying goes, make it to 21 days and you will probably make this a ritual. I do have a much better attitude this time also.

Thelma, Love the workouts! We seem to be out of the chilly weather this week. The mornings are still cool, but we are getting nice weather once I get home. Hoping this weekend is a bit warmer than we had last weekend, we need to get some spring cleaning done outside. Oh yes those burpee's, I had forgotten that she likes to put those in. 😯

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Perfect 30 Perfect Pump Lower Body with bonuses, P30 High Impact HiiT and 10 minutes of floor pose yoga from Peloton. I love the Perfect 30 lower body workout. The high impact HIIT…not so much. But I got through it today and it didn’t feel too bad.

Thelma, great workout. I am glad icing helped your shoulder. We are on a yo-yo right now with temperatures. It was downright cold on Sunday, yesterday was a little better, today is near 80 and back down again tomorrow with the possibility of more rain. In other words, spring. 🙂 But I am happy about the chance of rain still.

Laurie, great workouts. And I completely understand what you are saying about yoga. I am definitely not good with yogi terms either. That program sounds fantastic. I am officially 8 days in on my yoga (and other stuff) journey. I really hope in two weeks it is a habit. But the good news is I thought I was going to have to skip my yoga today because I was having old dining room furniture picked up and new delivered, but I had 15 minutes between those events, but I made sure to get my yoga in during that time! That’s progress…..for me at least.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Tuesday's workouts were walking, Yin and Tracy Steen Hiit and Core. This Hiit workout was high impact, and I pretty much every other exercise was some kind of jumping move. It was perfect to get me to jump.

Laurie, great workouts! I love that you're incorporating yoga into your fitness routine. I hope you get some good yard working weather over the weekend!

Laurel, great workouts! I should do Cathe's high impact workouts!

My shoulder feels almost normal. What a difference a week makes!
We were in the 60's on Tuesday. It was a beautiful sunny day with a slight hint of cold air. We are also expecting rain on Wednesday.

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout yesterday was another good one. We did PJ's Total Body Strength Workout, it was a no repeat. This morning was yoga. This practice was all about the breathing, which is something that I really have to work on sometimes.

Laurel, Great job with those workouts! I also really like those P30 weight workouts, they are a little to fast paced for DH right now. I have to giggle sometimes, he is so uncoordinated. I don't know if I would have been able to get through that HiiT workout, it would have been all low impact moves. 😂 Love that you where determined to get in that yoga.

Thelma, Nice job with the workouts! Good job with getting the jumping in also. I don't know if I would be getting yoga in if I had to do it after our evening workout. The morning seemed to be the most logical option, and of course I can change that next month. So far they are saying in the high 70's and no rain for our weekend.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 45 minute spin into Perfect 30 Mobility Basics, which felt fantastic today.

Thelma, great workouts. Good job getting some impact in. My body doesn’t love impact as much as it used to for sure, but I am better with short spurts of it, like in HiiT workouts, than I am in more endurance based cardio like some of Cathe’s older kickboxing workouts. My feet and calves would prefer something else when I try those. 😊 We are back to the 60s today (with rain) and I just read we expecting more violent storms tomorrow. Yikes.

Laurie, great workouts. I understand why the Perfect 30 workouts are too fast for your DH. She really goes quickly between exercises and she is using the same weight she uses in a program like 2.0 which goes much slower. But these are also half the length so I suppose it makes sense. But they are tough to keep up with. My DH is pretty coordinated in daily life but when it comes to anything like choreography or stretching or anything like a routine…..😂. But he’s the first to admit it which means I can laugh out loud. 😎

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! Wednesday's workouts were walking and glutes.
The rain we were supposed to get never came. It was more like a passing shower and a little drizzle.

I go for my PT evaluation on Thursday morning. I'll let you know how it went.

Laurie, great workouts! I love the idea of a breathing class. I think the morning is a good time for yoga. I don't know that I'd do a little class after strength training. Your weather is sounding pretty good. You'll probable warmer than us.

    Laurel, great workouts!

I'm OK with the little jumping I'm doing now, but I wouldn't be doing it if I'd not read how beneficial jumping is.
I hope the violent weather stays away from your area.

    Morning Ladies,

No workout last night, I had a hair appointment with dd. That will be my last after work appointment. 😎 This morning was another yoga practice that concentrated on the core.

Laurel, Nice workouts! I think that all of our DH's would get along really well, they did marry us after all. 😁 DH has a hard time just tapping his foot out to the beat. He's fine with the basic moves. Now I know that the feet/calf feeling I had when doing the kickboxing shuffle in the workouts wasn't just me. I had to start taking that move down to a walking move. Really does suck getting older. 😕 I usually do as many of the jump moves as my knees can take, and then I opt for the low impact move.

Thelma, Love your workouts! Anything glute related is fun for me right now. ☺️ Those moves, in the past seemed so boring, but now I really understand what they are all about. Good luck with the PT! You are right, the yoga needs to be a morning routine, it just works really well for how I feel the rest of the day. I have noticed an improvement in how my knees have felt this week. If this continues, then the yoga is a permanent fixture for my mornings.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a long one. I have somebody in tomorrow to restore our front door, and last time they were here it was an all day thing. So tomorrow’s workout will be abbreviated, and I made up for it today. I started with a 20 minute spin, then I did Perfect 30 Perfect Pump Lower and Upper Body with bonuses and core premix, and I finished with the Bonus Restorative Yoga session from LMR which was perfect today.

Thelma, great workouts. I hope all goes well with the PT, and I will be curious what they say. I hope you get some rain today.

Laurie, great workout this morning. I am glad you are feeling the benefits from the yoga. I am as well. My biggest issue with impact anymore are on moves like jumping jacks. My body just does not want to move like that anymore. I will usually try them and then start modifying. Some days are better than others, and the pace of them makes a huge difference to me. But give me Plyo jacks any day over regular jacks because they are slower and controlled. This aging thing is really strange.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! My workouts on Thursday were walking and yoga.
Pt went well. My strength and range of movement tests were good, except on the right arm's internal rotation as expected.
I can't do any overhead presses or chest flies for now. Bummer! I'll be going to PT twice a week for six weeks starting next Wednesday.

The rain we were expecting on Thursday never came. A thunderstorm passed by and it rained for a little bit. I don't think it was anything measurable.

We've been having electrical problems in the house since Tuesday. All of a sudden two TVs in two separate rooms appear to be tripping the circuit breakers. We had the electrician here today and he didn't find anything wrong. Of course, the breakers didn't get tripped when they were here but eventually happened tonight. They opened the circuit breaker box to check inside for bad wires and everything else that can be measured for electricity. Nothing! DH is having them replace the breakers we managed to trip during our troubleshooting. I've been freaking out over this. The electrician assured us that everything is safe.

Laurie, good job with the yoga program!! I am so happy to hear that you're feeling yoga is helping your knees!

I think tonight DH was feeling the reality that he is going to be retiring in the near future. He is the only one who knows a lot of applications in that department. He's trained people over the years as his back up, but people weren't technical, and they didn't get it. Tonight, he said out of the blue, I can't believe I'm going to document myself out of a job! My first thought was that he was changing his mind about retiring, so I told him there will be a full-time position (his) available in his department.
LOL. He hasn't changed his mind about semi-retiring.

    Laurel, awesome workout!
No luck with the rain, maybe on Monday.

    Have a great weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

Our workout yesterday was PJ's Fat Burning High Intensity Low Impact Cardio. This morning was my yoga practice, and this one was a lot of sun salutations.

Yesterday when I picked up Rocket there was a new person to me. She asked if we have had Rocket since he was little, and I said yes. She then said that she just LOVES Rocket. 😁 Of course I talked to him all the way home asking why so many of the employee's at doggy daycare love him so much. I do love that dog.

Laurel, Great job with the workouts! That is a good idea to limit your workout time today, just because you don't know the timeframe. Oh yes the pace, that is one thing that I had the hardest part with. I used to be able to keep up, and all of a sudden I was lagging. So crazy.

Thelma, Love the workouts! Sounds like you have some good information, and will now know how to proceed with your workouts. I hope that the circuit breakers are the problem and tackles the problem with the overload. Everyone asks me about how I feel, and I think they get disappointed that I'm not more emotional. It's probably because I do have things to do after my career is over. Glad to hear that your DH is still okay with retirement. They still haven't gotten my replacement approved, so I'm leaving training about three different people. 🙄

    Have a great weekend!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was Perfect 30 Low Impact HiiT and Bonus Pyramid HiiT, Extended Stretch and 20 minutes of really good Pilates from Peloton.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad things went well with the PT, but I am sorry about the limited activities. Hopefully in six weeks you can start back up and everything will feel better. I hope the new breakers work for your electricity. That does sound a bit unusual but we have weird issues with two of our TVs well (they power off for no reason) but nothing like a tripped circuit. I’m glad your DH is still okay retiring. But, no doubt, it is an adjustment.

Laurie, great workouts. Sounds like Rocket is the star of his doggy daycare! That is so sweet. I think when I finally move on from Cathe’s older workouts it will be because of the pace of them. I don’t think I am too far away from that right now, to be honest. Doing some of these older programs right now, I keep thinking ‘do we need to rush so much?’ I am beginning to sound like an old person. 😎

    Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Ladies! I hope you had a nice weekend. Ours was nice, busy and full of excitement. We had a 4.1 earthquake and a gas leak!
I was just starting to wake up on Saturday morning when all of a sudden I felt and heard what sounded like a seriously loud thunder. It felt like it had hit right under our bed. Right away I felt the tremor. It felt like a giant drill traveling across my house in a straight line. I could just envision the earth cracking. This was a different earthquake than I'd ever felt. It was the strongesst I've ever felt. I looked at the ceiling fans but they were not moving. DH was down the road weed whacking and he thought he'd heard thunder. Everybody quickly went on FB asking what the heck that was. I really didn't know it was an earthquake at first, but the tremor continued for what felt like a long time. The epicenter was in TN. The Southern Appalachian Fault was the cause of the earthquake. The earthquake was felt in several states and people close to Atlanta felt it too. It was the 7th earthquake above a magnitude of 4 registered in the area since 1900. The fur babies slept through it. The earthquake was a shallow one, and that is the reason why it had such a long range. There haven't been any aftershocks, thankfully.
DH smelled rotten eggs outside, so right away he knew it was a gas leak. He went to the meter on the side of the house and could hear it, so he went and prepared a solution of dish washing liquid with water and sprayed the meter with it. Right away it started bubbling up, which is a leak indicator. He called the gas company, and they were here in bout 30 minutes. A gasket needed to be replaced.

The rain we were expecting didn't quite happen. As of Sunday morning, we had 0.2". Monday is supposed to be rainy, but I have serious doubts about that at this point. At least things are getting wet.

My workouts on Friday were walking and Sculpting Barre.
    Saturday - walking
Sundy - walking and CG Epic Heat- Legs Day 1 (I think). It was a great workout. The format was a set of three flavors of an exercise; at 3 reps each repeated 2 or three times for three minutes. Loved it. I had to keep my weights on the low side because I was afraid to hurt my shoulder more. It turned out it was the right weight because it was a fast-paced workout. Loved it!

    Laurie, great workouts!
Awww! You raised a great fur baby, too! I hope you had a great Mother's Day.

Laurel, great workouts! I recently cancelled my Peloton membership, and I just discovered that they are offering some free classes! The are anywhere between 5 and 30 minutes from what I can see. I can do the ones in English and Spanish!

Did you feel the earthquake? Parts of AL felt it.

I also hope that at the end of the 6 weeks of PT I'll be able to start my upper body workouts again.

    Have a great week!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Ours was good, but we had very soggy weather. It rained all day on Saturday, which is a bit unusual. We are used to storms, but it has been awhile since we have had rain that last consistently for 10+ hours. We woke up to rain yesterday but it finally cleared up enough to get a little work in the yard done in the afternoon. And then the rain returned and we had storms all night, with more storms and rain predicted for today. Except for the fact we are falling behind on garden work, I am still happy we are getting so much moisture.

For workouts, on Saturday I did LITE Metabolic Blast and 30 minutes of Peloton yoga. Yesterday was LITE Rev’d Up Rumble, Calorie Crush and then 30 minutes of Peloton Yoga + Pilates. Today was a 40 minute spin, LITE Pyramid Pump Lower Body and another 30 minute yoga session with Peloton. I really am enjoying the yoga right now.

Thelma, I was wondering if you felt that earthquake. We didn’t feel it here, but when I saw where it was, I was sure you probably felt it pretty strongly. Earthquakes are so strange to experience. I am glad you didn’t have any damage from that. But the gas leak sounds bad! I am glad your DH noticed it and you were able to get it fixed quickly. I am surprised you didn’t get any rain this weekend. We have two more soggy days until dry air returns. Everything is growing like crazy with all this moisture. And, thankfully, we are out of our drought. My spin bike died about a week ago, so I am now a Peloton owner. Never thought I would get one, but the price was the same as the model I had, and since I have gone through two of those bikes, DH and I decided to just go with the Peloton. I must say….I really like it. I didn’t think there would be much difference, but there is enough to appreciate the change. But now that I am paying more each month (which still doesn’t make sense to me), I am going to be doing a lot of Peloton workouts for sure. And great workouts this weekend!

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! We finally got some rain on Monday morning and night. As of 12PM on Monday we'd gotten 1", which includes the .2 we'd gotten before. Hopefully we'll be at 1.5" by morning.

My workouts on Monday were walking, hot yoga and CG Epic Heat Back and Biceps. This one was another great workout. I used light weights.

The circuit breakers are expected to arrive on Tuesday morning. The electricians will be here in the afternoon to install them.

Laurel, I'm glad you had a good weekend. I can't believe how much rain you got!

Great workouts and congratulations on the Peloton bike! I bet it's really nice. I am sure you will get your money's worth out of that membership.

Earthquakes are definitely a strange experience. I hope I don't have to experience another one in my lifetime.

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was LITE Pyramid Pump Upper Body, a 45 minute spin and 15 minutes of yoga.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad you are getting some rain. We had another downpour yesterday afternoon and may get more today. Then we heat up quite a bit. I hope the new circuit breakers address your problems. The part of having the Peloton bike that surprises me is how motivating it is to be riding along side other people in real time and seeing their effort. It makes me push just a little harder, which is a good thing some days. I have been in such a workout slump that a little spark feels really good right now.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies, my workouts on Tuesday were walking and Tracy Steen Hiit. I went to yoga class, but no instructor showed up.

Last night's rain didn't amount to anything in the rain gauge. We got a few sprinkles today. The weather people are talking jet stream again! It's due to hit us and about 20 other states over the weekend. It could get violent with very strong winds.

The electricians couldn't come because the parts delivery truck broke down and couldn't get it going on time to deliver the parts today. They're scheduled to try again tomorrow. We turned the TVs on at noontime thinking the electricians would come in the afternoon, they never tripped the breaker!

I start PT Wednesday morning. My shoulder wasn't happy after Monday's back and bicep workout. I may have to give up upper body workouts for a while.

Laurel, great workouts! I can see how doing a live Peloton spin class would be motivating if you can see how others are doing.

    See you tomorrow!
