Hi Ladies! My house is like an animal hospital. We got little Rhett back to normal thanks to the guidance from the shelter volunteers.

Our female dog had been coughing a really scary cough. I thought she had asthma. I was trying to record her coughing but could never get the phone going whenever she coughed. On Sunday when I was carrying her out to potty she started to cough right in front of the Ring doorbell camera! Yaay! The camera recorded the coughing. I sent it out to the vet and I was able to take her to the vet Monday morning. It could be chronic bronchitis or a partially collapsed trachea, which is common in small dogs. She needed a human's medicine and we had to go to all the pharmacies in town to find it. Poor girl. The cough suppresant is working for the poor thing. I spent part of the afternoon developing a medicine chart so we could track her three meds.
I was up with her on Sunday night and early Monday morning. I didn't get to start CG's program, but I did a really relaxing workout, which is what my mind and body needed. I walked on the treadmill wearing my weighted vest while I read my Kindle book. I followed that with my PT workout, which included overhead and suitcase style farmer's carry. I love them!

Laurie, great workouts! I'm so sorry about your uncle's passing.
I hope the grand baby's baptism went well.
You should start doing bootcamp workouts in preparation for the weekend in October when you'll have to take care of the boys! LOL.
    I love Rocket's nickname!

I'm sure your DH is going to be surprised about what he eats now that he is keeping track.

Laurel, great workouts! I can't believe you hadn't played golf in so long! I'm glad you finally had the chance to play and that your DH's travel has calmed down.

We got a passing shower today. There were a couple of raindrops in the rain gauge.
I've known about the farmer's carry for a while, but had never done them, now I'm a big fan.

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was LMR Functional Upper Body Fusion, Cathe Live Kick, Box and Sweat and 20 minutes of yoga. There is one yoga instructor on Peloton who does a lot of short, focused yoga workouts, and I have done those with her but I had never done a yoga flow with her until last week. It was a short 10 minute flow and I loved it. The 60 minute workout I did on Saturday was with her, and I think I have found another favorite instructor. The one I have been doing more since Kristin McGee left is more meditative yoga. And this other instructor i just ‘discovered’ is more active flow, and that is what I miss most from Kristin. It makes me so happy to have found it again. I was already enjoying daily yoga. Now I am enjoying it even more. 🙂

Thelma, sounds like a great workout after another long night with a sick puppy. Your mind probably needed that escape into a book for sure. I am sorry about your sick puppy, but hopefully the medicine works and she is better soon. Lucky you with the rain. We are still dry. What surprised me yesterday is DH asked me when he called while driving home from work whether we had any rain at the house. I told him we didn’t even have a cloud at the house. Apparently it rained in the northern part of the city, but absolutely nothing here. But our rain chances are supposed to improve as the week goes on.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! I'm barely surviving with these sick furbabies. Now it turns out Rhett had diarrhea because he has an infection. At least it wasn't that we gave him something he shouldn't have eaten. He also has an ear infection. Now we have to give him antibiotics for his tummy and ear drops. DH had to take him to the vet and for whatever reason here in BR and it could be all of GA, vets take the patient away from the owner to examine them in another room. When the vet returned him to DH he had a muzzle hunging from his neck. The vet told DH Rhett was a biter and that we should be very careful. DH had to remove the muzzle for them.
My workouts today were a repeat of Monday's with the addition of of a Yin class.

I had an Gyn appointment with a nurse practitioner. I had to go to a neighboring county because the nurse I saw here didn't give me a good feeling. I'd read about today's nurse and I just knew she is the one I needed to talk to about HRT for my osteopenia.
I went in there my notes and question and it was very informative consultation. The nurse was very knowlegable about HRT and the latest information. She was thrilled that I'd done so much research. She said that amongst her patient I was a unicorn. LOL
I told her everything I was doing supplement wise, my jump therapy and the kind of HRT protocol I thought I needed. They did blood work to check my hormonal levels and the nurse will give me a transdermal compounded cream, to bypass the liver and reduce side effects. I want my bone density restored and once I get the transdermal craem, I will have a full protocol. I already told DH that I want to have a bone density test next spring to see if what I'm doing now is working. We would have to pay for it out of pocket because insurance only convers the text every two years. The nurse told that by law they are not allowed to prescribe HRT to women who are within 8 months of turning 65 and older. At least I'm not there yet and I'd be grandfathered in when I turn 65.

I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off my back. I've been really concerned about my bones.

Laurel, great workouts! I am so happy you found a new favorite yoga instructor. I was going to ask you last week if you'd found one and I forgot to ask!

Our chances of rain for today were 70%. There was no rain. Our chances for Wednesday and Thursday are high, too.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

Sorry I have not been online. We have been busy getting the house clean. We will have our kitchen floor sanded in a couple of weeks, so we cleaned out a closet that is at the entrance to the kitchen. It is the only closet with hardwood floors. This morning we had to go to Emergency, DH has been having urinary issues for about a month. Last night he was up all night and not able to empty his bladder. He has been waiting for a referral to go to urology since his physical about a month ago , so he is now set with an appointment and a catheter. 😐️ He was kind enough to wait until I woke up before we went to the hospital.

The baptism went well, and the baby didn't make a diaper mess until after the service. DD was very worried, because the outfit was white. 😀

I have been keeping up with my yoga, well today I have not done a session yet. We did Sydney's workouts on Saturday was Legs and Abs Builder, Monday we did Standing Total Body Tone Up and yesterday was HiiT Arms and Abs. I will be by myself today for the workout, he will not be working out for a while. 😕

Laurel, Great job with all the workouts! Very nice that you both where able to get out and golf, and that the course wasn't busy. I'm sure that it was wonderful to be out in the sun just being together. Glad to hear that your DH will not be on the road as much.

Thelma, Crazy busy you both are with your animals! Any exercise that you are able to get in is bonus, so great job. Caroline's workout will be there when you are able to do them. I'm sure that Rhett was pretty scared. Our clinic takes the dog just for the blood work, and then brings them back into the room for the vet visit. That had to be an interesting situation for you DH. Glad to hear that you found someone that is able to give you the necessary treatment. It's can be very hard to find the right fit sometimes.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 45 minute spin, 10 minutes of Peloton core and 2.0 Mat Yoga, which felt great today.

Thelma, great workouts. I am sorry to hear about the situation with Rhett. Like Laurie said, he was probably very scared at the vet. Poor puppy seems to be going through alot right now. I hope he starts feeling better and you all can get back to some normalcy. I am glad you felt good about your appointment with the Nurse Practitioner and that it gave you some peace of mind. I hope the transdermal cream works and you see some improvement in your next bone density test. We finally got some good rain yesterday! It only lasted about 20 minutes, but it cooled everything down so nicely and made last evening much more pleasant than the evenings have been lately.

Laurie, great workouts. But I am sorry to hear about your DHs issues. I am glad he finally got an appointment, but it is ridiculous it had to get to the point it did to get one. Hopefully he can get some relief soon. He must be frustrated, especially since he has been really good about working out. Hopefully he’ll be back soon. I’m glad the baptism went well.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! I was able to get do a 30 minute Tracy Steen Lower body workout and my walk! YaaY! We finally got some rain in the afternoon. We got 1.5 inch of rain. Hopefully, we'll get a little more tomorrow.
Little Rhett is doing better. He doesn't have diarrhea anymore. We also started to reintroduce his normal food back into his diet.

Laurie, great job keeping up with your workouts and all that house cleaning! I'm really sorry about your husband's urinary issues. How considerate of him to wait till you woke up to go to the hospital.
I'm so glad to hear the baptism went well.

It is tough having to take care of several sick animals at the same time, but we're getting it done. Rhet was definitely scared. DH says he was shaking. I don't like that clinic, but they help the shelter with the animals' medical care. Our vet also takes the animals to the back for labs.

    Laurel, great workouts!
I'm glad you got some rain.
The little guy is doing much better and I am feeling hopeful about helping myself save my bones.

    See you tomorrow!

    Morning Ladies,

DH is off to get some blood work done. Yesterday I did my yoga and Sydney's Level Up Your Lower Body, and this morning was Toned Arms and Strong Abs. The workout this morning was an arm exercise followed by abs. It was a AMRAP, so 10 reps of each exercise for 4 minutes. One of the things that I do like about Sydney's workout is that she incorporates abs into her workouts. I don't think that we where getting enough of the abs with PJ. I will be doing my yoga after some errands.

Just has a squirrel jumping at our patio door, of course Rocket didn't like that. 😃

Laurel, Great job with the workouts! DH is now on Medicare, things are handled so differently. They don't pay for ER visits, that will have to come out of pocket. So far he is handling things fairly well. Nice that the rain brought with it a little relief from the heat. It's always nice to be able to enjoy the outdoors without the draining heat.

Thelma, Nice job with the workouts! Glad your area got some rain also. Good news on Rhett, it seems that those bought of diarrhea don't last to long in dogs. I usually give Rocket rice when he has those issues. I know when he has stomach issues, because he is out eating grass like he is a cow.

    Have a great day!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was LMR Functional Lower Body Fusion and Cathe Live Cardio Mobility Mix.

Thelma, great workouts. I am glad Rhett is feeling better. I am also glad you got some rain. We did as well yesterday. The humidity is off the charts right now, but the temperatures sure feel better than they did last week. I think that will change again over the weekend.

Laurie, great workouts. I hope all goes well with your DH. I remember dealing with Medicare a bit with my mom, and trying to remember all of the different plans and payments and whatever was crazy. My sister is on it now as well, so I am learning from her too. Last evening was another pleasant one here. It really is nice to be outside and not be miserable. Those pesky squirrels are always up to something. Ours certainly keep us entertained at times.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! I got my walk in and an upper body workout, plus any PT exacises not included in the workout.
My little patients had a great day. Thank God!
We got 2.6 inches of rain between Wednesday and Thursday!

Laurie, great workouts. I love it when the instructor incorporates abs into the workout.

I can just imagine Rocket barking at the squirrel like crazy! LOL

I'm sorry you have to pay for your DH's ER visit. Does he have supplemental insurance?

We gave Rhett rice. The shelter gave us a bag of a bag of freeze-dried bland diet. called Under The Weather. It has chicken, rice, pumpkin, probiotics and electrolytes.

Laurel, great workouts! I'm so glad you got rain too. Thankfully it's not very humid here.

Rhett is fine now. We just have to make sure he finishes his meds.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Morning Ladies,

This morning was just Yoga. Decided to do a longer one, and it felt great.

I will not be around next week, we will be heading to the annual car show. It will be a hot one I'm sure, since we are headed to KY.

DH's blood work came out normal, so we are relieved. My cousins husband has prostate cancer, and he is about the same age as my DH.

Laurel, Nice workouts! I guess until DH is okay to workout I should probably t ry some of those LMR workouts. I have been enjoying SC's workouts. Maybe after our trip I can try them out. I have been enjoying the minimal equipment though. 😁 That squirrel came to the door twice after I had posted. Can't imagine why he wanted to be in our house. What a disaster that would have been if he got in.

Thelma, Great job with the workouts! So glad to hear that your little patient is doing so much better. Thanks for the information on what the vet gave you. We should probably look into that, since Rocket has always had a sensitive stomach. I think sometimes it comes on because he get anxious. The last time he did this was when we where on vacation. He tends not to eat either. We do have the supplemental insurance. He just started at the beginning of June, so everything it a bit different than what he had before.

    Have a great weekend/week!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was 2.0 Upper Body 1 and core and yoga from Peloton.

Thelma, great workouts! I am so glad your puppies are feeling better. We had rain alerts all day yesterday with very little rain. So far today is exactly the same. But at least the temperature is still pleasant, but we will be warming up over the weekend. But since it is mid-July, I suppose it is to be expected that it is hot. At least I am not tired of it yet like I am most years at this time.

Laurie, sounds like a good workout. I am so happy your DHs blood test came back negative. That has to be a huge relief. You won’t find minimal equipment in most of the LMR workouts, unfortunately. That is one of my biggest frustrations with the series. I am not going to lie to you…..this just isn’t Cathe’s best series by a very wide margin (at least in my view). It feels like she couldn’t decide if she wanted a series for beginners, a series that focused on functional training, or a series to be used for recovery. So she tried all three and kind of missed the mark on all those categories. But I do think the workouts are worth a try. Enjoy your time in Kentucky!

    See you Monday.

Hi Ladies, I hope you had a great weekend. Ours was good, but it was super hot around here. The rain we were supposed to get never came, but we got three inches of rain earlier in the week.

My workouts on Friday were walking, restorative yoga and the sculpting yoga/Pilates class.
    Saturday - walking.
Sunday - walking and CG Epic Heat - Day 1 Uncomplicated Complexes LEG DAY.
I did the workout with 17.5# dumbbells. I felt that my high squats (dumbbells in front of the shoulder) were much better this time, than the first time I did them. She also does an RDL into high squat move which I had to assist myself on the high part last time. I had to assist today too, but a lot less.

It felt so good to be able do this leg workout!

Laurie, I hope, you and your DH will have a great time at the car show.
Excellent news on your DH's bloodwork results. I'm so glad you got the supplemental insurance!

You're welcome on the bland dog food. Amazon sells it and you don't need a prescription.

    Laurel, great workouts!
I am so glad the puppies are doing better too.
We've been lucky the heat hasn't been oppressive like in years past.

    Have a great week!

Hi Ladies! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. Ours was good. Saturday was yard and house chores but yesterday we were able to play golf again. It was very warm out there, but we had a great time.

For workouts, on Saturday I did a 45 minute spin and yoga. Yesterday was 2.0 Lower Body 2, Jessica Smith’s Cardio Hit workout and 2.0 total body stretch. Today was LMR Functional Upper Body with the balance disc bonus and yoga.

Thelma, great workouts. 17.5# is a great weight for that move. I go between 15 and 20 tops on that one. We got absolutely hammered with a pop up rain storm last night. It poured buckets and we lost power for a few hours again. I am glad we got the rain because it was getting dry, but these power outages every couple of weeks are getting pretty old right now. We are replacing our A/C units on Friday, but if we were not having to do that, I think we would be seriously looking into a generator. But that is going to have to wait.

    See you tomorrow.

Hi Ladies! My workouts on Monday were walking Yinyasa and CG Epic Heat Day-2 - Superior Shoulders. Ifelt like she did 1000 shoulder presses. Different types but always overhead. I did them all with 10# dumbbells. I've not done that in forever!

It's been really hot around here and our chances of rain aren't good at all this week.

Laurel, great workouts and I'm so glad you and your DH were able to play golf on Sunday.
Frequent power outages definitely make you think about getting a generator. You got lucky with the all that rain, though!

    See you tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! Today’s workout was a 60 minute spin and yoga.

Thelma, great workouts. It must have felt amazing to do that kind of tough shoulder work after all you have been through over the last 18 months with your shoulder. 10# is really fantastic!! It is hot and muggy here as well. And, like you, there is no rain in the forecast. I keep my fingers crossed for some pop up showers on these humid days. But we didn’t even have a cloud pass by yesterday so that isn’t looking good.

    See you tomorrow.
