    I can cut the grass in my front yard w/no shirt

    My wife can't cut the grass in the front yard w/her **** hanging out as in strip club......That's one difference.


    The other-Movie=MOVIE
    Club=just about as obtainable but REAL people

    I guess because I don't have a problem with it, it's not a big deal to me at all. FWIW my wife did say she didn't want to go because she wouldn't want me to go if it were a similar situation....But I still wouldn't care if she went

    LOL last time I went to one was with guys after work, and I was along for the ride......I specifically explained that glitter, and vanilla cookie scent is NOT acceptable to bring home.
    Have not been since being married though

    I wonder if the women going to ogle at Magic Mike are against pornography?

    I honestly don't see the difference, and I'm a woman. In a no-touch scenario, I don't get the big deal. As for stuffing bills, you don't have to. I've been to strip clubs, and the girls will dance without it AND you can just hand them the bills.
    Does anybody care that these people in these clubs make their money off pathetic, unsatisfied people?

    How about doing what you can in real life to earn what you desire without running off to a strip club to long for what you want but can't have?

    this is true for me as well. But I dont care if she goes and I have no interest in hitting a strip club. Its not fun when you dont have to work for it ;)

    So I pose this question. Is it the same? Is enjoying 2 hours at the local strip club different then watching Magic Mike?

    Based on the stipulations you have raised there is very little difference. Both are designed to titillate with the use of visual imagery. Having said that it seems socially unacceptable for women to be aroused in this way, generally be held to be a masculine trait, so it has to be dressed with meaningless plot lines, fluffy emotional content and general drivel to make it "ok".

    There is one major difference though. The nachos are far superior at a Cinema....

    I do not want to see this movie because the plot line looks interesting, I want to see it because I like seeing Channing Tatum without a shirt.

    What's the difference between me going to see this movie for that reason and a man going to a strip club?

    Bingo. One of the few women who is willing to admit it. Its funny too because its so obvious a double standard. The women dont want their men to go to the club they are just fine with there "GNO" with Channing and Matthew.

    I don't think visiting a Gentleman's club is a fair comparison by any means. Just comparing the venue of a movie theater to the venue of a gentleman's club is quite a bit of a difference.

    About 15 years ago, there was a movie called Showgirls, with Elizabeth Berkely from Saved by the Bell in it.

    I think a guy going to see that movie would be an accurate comparison to women watching 'Magic Mike'

    As a side note, I don't give a crap about my boyfriend going to a strip club, watching porn, etc or not. All things considered though, watching a movie involving stripping and going to a strip club are inherently not the same. Even if interactions are limited, if you actually GO you are interacting with a real environment versus watching a fictional one.

    I say everyone should have a blast doing either, as long as its innocent fun, but they aren't the same. Similar, but not the same.

    ok....the movie is fun! the actors are hot!!!

    Girls, if any of you have been to "the thunder from down under" its exactly like that. Super fun and slightly dirty....but nothing waving around or anything lol.

    If all gentlemen's clubs had men like they did in the movie......things would be different lol

    It's about time for a fun movie for women lol
