Hola!
Looks like we're all getting back to basics this week!! :drinker: I'm so glad to not be alone & have you all here to help me through this!! The Biggest Loser is on tonight & I don't know what it is about that show - but it makes me want to EAT!!   It inspires me too, to work harder & eat better the next day, but while I'm watching, I feel like I gotta be munchin on something. Maybe it's the stress of it all! I think that's it!! Ijust had a breakthrough!! I stress eat while watching Biggest Loser! Between Bob & Jillian yelling at the contestants, their working their butts off in the gym & dealing with all the game play!! I guess I just never realized it!
So far I've done great with this week's back to basics goals! I feel like I'm in control again! Gotta love that!! And I do!
I ended up running on the treadmill & shoveling a little snow for a total burn of 460 cals & almost 1.5 hours. I'm looking forward to step aerobics in the morning! I hope she doesn't try to sneak circuit training in on us, I just want some gold ole fashioned step in!
Nicole, sounds like you had an awesome time dancing!! Your make shift belt idea was awesome!! Wasn't nothin' holdin you back from gettin yo groove on!! Proud of you girl!! A size 7/8 - AWESOME!! Great job with your non-food logging - that seems like a funny compliment, and anyone lurking might be shaking their heads right about now, but seriously, if you're in control then - go for it!! I hope that you have a successful weigh in this week!!
Amanda, your RedRobin burger sounds amazing!! I can't believe all those calories though!! No wonder why America is fat!! Cause who wouldn't eat that, & the endless fries, plus a sugary soda or their strawberry lemonade (my fav) & maybe even a dessert!! That's enough cals & food for 2 days! I love how MFP opens up our eyes to what we're eating & keeps us accountable!! Good luck to you on your back to basics (B2B) goals this week! We can do it!!
Suzanne, great job on your workout & keeping with it!! It's great to have a good dvd in your library to fall back on. I seem to always go back to the Biggest Loser Cardio Max. What do you do for your toning & stretching. Do you follow a certain routine or dvd? I would love to do more stretching as I'm not very limber.
Spicy, we miss you & love you babe! Hope you're hanging in there!
Passion, are you still with us?? I've missed you these last couple of days as well.
Have a great night Amigas!! I'll check on you all in the A.M.

Hola Amigas!! My workout is done - Step & Tone ended up being circiut training! YUCK!! Such a tough workout, but boy did I need it!! I burned 367 calories in 52 minutes. We ended a little early, but NONE of us seemed to mind as we were all exhausted! I'm doing great with our B2B challenge this week! Holding strong against the late night eating, logging all my food & driking all my water! I hope that all you lovely ladies are having a great day!0

Today is going to be a rest day for me. I'm just really feeling like I need it, but I know that I'll miss eating the excess calories! The pluses & minuses of a rest day! :ohwell:

Hi Ladies!
I'm sorry I haven't been around. Going thru a situation with my teenage son. I'm sending him to finish High school at his Uncle's house in Erie, PA. Hopefully, separating him from the "friends" will allow him to focus on his future.
I haven't logged anything till today, I haven't eaten much, I haven't worked out at all TOM is here and it couldn't be at a worse time. Thank God my "cub" is giving me the support I need.
Keep up all the good work girls... You guys are on the Ball
Amanda - Happy Belated Birthday!

Hola Amigas!!
Today was an awesome step & tone class that I"ll definately be feeling tomorrow!! I burned 460 calories stepping, toning, squating & crunching! I've got to get a good work out in again tomorrow because I've gone over my cals by 100 these last couple of days. I reset my goals to lose 1 lb a week, as I've jumped up to 147 these last couple of days & can't seem to shake it on the maintance calories. I definately prefer to be down to 145 or under. Hopefully something will give.
Spicy!!! :smooched: :smooched: :smooched: Oh, how I've missed you Amiga!! I hope that you're doing okay & that you & your son can get through this difficult time. I hope that change/move to your brother's place does him good.
Nicole, I hope that you & your hubby have a great date night! Great job on those workouts & please let us know how the dance goes! I'm sure you'll do great! How are things going with school?
Passion, I'm glad to hear that you're still with us! The 30 day shred aint no joke!! I don't think it ever gets any easier. Enjoy!
Suzanne, I hope that you had a great day & workout!
Have a great weekend!!
Sandy0 -
I did Level 1 of 30 Day Shred, No More Trouble Zones, and 15 mins on the treadmill. I wanted to do more on the treadmill but I was too tired. I think I need a rest day.
Don't know how many calories I burned, I don't have a heart rate monitor. I just go by what MFP says and it was only four hundred something. Not as much as you guys, but I feel like I do a lot.
Thanks for letting me join.0 -
hey girls!!! went to an hour of zumba today and burned 610 calories!! she really killed us today! i was feeling sick at the end and i was drenched in sweat! the instructor had me lead one of the songs on stage....without her....it was fun, but of course when ur on stage u have to push extra hard! then i went to practice the dances im doing for 2 hours and i burned 250...my hrm stopped at some point, so it was more, but im not sure when i stopped.:grumble:
my hubby told me today that it looked like i lost weight!!!! :drinker: coming from him is a huge compliment cause he is always honest with me...i ask him to be:laugh:
megan- YAY!!!! im glad u jumped in here with us!!:drinker: great workout!!! 400 calories is alot to burn! be proud of urself! make sure u take a rest day if ur feeling the need!
sandy- great workout today! remember to not focus so much on the number on the scale...u have been lifting weights so u probably have gained muscle! school is going great! i luv it, but with this whole dance thing im doing, i have been a little overwhelmed, i feel like i have been going nonstop....next weekend is when i perform, so after that i hopefully will get to breath a little:laugh:
hope everyone else is doing well! have a fabulous weekend and keep on movin!!:bigsmile:0 -
Hey, didn't get a work out in today. I hurt my knee somehow so I'm gonna give it a little rest. I started watching my sugar and fiber more and today is the first day I did not go over.
Nicole, YAY on the compliment. You better believe it cuz you look great. How much was you heart rate monitor? I want to get one. I'm curious to know how much I'm actually burning. Is MFP pretty accurate?0 -

take it easy so u dont hurt ur knee anymore! it was......i think, like $70....well worth it though!!! mfp is pretty close, give or take 100 calories most often0 -
One more rest day then back at it tomorrow.0
-
today is my rest day, but i practiced my dance for like 3 hours...without the hrm....its a tough one though....so ill be practicing more tonight...lets hope i can get it down!!!!0

Good morning Amigas!!
I had a great step class this morning! Our instructor really beat us up today! I burned 408 & would like to do a little more tonight to burn at least another 250. I'm really trying to get these pounds back off. I haven't been eating very good these last couple of days, maybe I'm pms-ing or something. The week started out so good & positive, only to faulter over the weakend! I really do hate that! So, I'm glad that it's Monday & a new day & a new week!! I WILL BE SUCCESSFUL!!
Nicole, great job on those workouts! I know that you loved teaching your zumba class!! Did you get to choose your own music & routine for that? Very exciting! Your performance preparation is really giving you quite the workout itself! Have you weighed yourself or measured lately?? Awesome that your hubby is noticing & complimenting you!! Gotta love that!!
Megan, I hope that your knee is feeling better. Make sure that your shoes aren't letting you down, they can really make a difference. You sound like you're doing great with your workouts! Keep it up!
Spicy, we're still here for you chica!! Hope that you're doing well!
Amanda & Passion, hope that you're well!
Make it a great day!!

hey buddies! man its been so quiet around here lately.... so i went to practice my dances for 25 min(100 cal) then i went to 1/2 of zumba and my hrm stopped so it only showed 50 cal:grumble: so once i turned it back on it got to 100 before i left..then i walked for 20 minutes..so i am going to say 300 cal total... i was just so out of it today, probably because sunday is normally my rest day and i ended up practicing the dances for like 4 hours...cant wait until its over!
sandy- great workout!! i didnt choose the song for zumba, i was just kinda thrown up there:laugh: it was fun though! i have not measured or weighed cause i have been pmsing...this friday for sure!!
hope everyone is doing well, we all need to get back on here!! its been to slow!! have a great day...off to get ready for school!0 -
I did no more trouble zones and banish fat boost metabolism. 519 cals burned according to mfp. I just got the banish fat boost metabolism and it kicked my butt.0

Good Morning Amigas!!!!
I had a good weekend, besides going over my calories every day!! Ughhh!!!! I hope to be able to conquer the weekend temptations soon.
Sanifrey- Yes, you will be SUCCESSFUL!! Keep that great attitude. And you are so right about the 30 day shred. I got up to the 6th day and had to take a rest day from it. My muscles are sore, but not in a bad way though. I usually do 10-20 minutes or cardio max after wards, so maybe that it what did me in. LOL
Megan- WELCOME!!! I also did BFBM dvd yesterady morning, I didn't complete the whole vid though, I was too worn out from the 30 day(maybe thats why I couldn't do 30 day at all yesterday) Any who, that BFBM is killer as well.
Nicole- I wanna be like you when I grow up. you kick butt girl!
Spicy- I hope everything is well with you. :flowerforyou:
Make it a great day ladies !!!!0 -

LOL!!   So easy to say now, when it's not 8 PM & I'm watching the Biggest Loser wanting a great big bowl of cereal!! MMMMmmm cereal!!! Maybe I'll save me some calories & make a bowl tonight around 7:45!
I hope that all you lovely ladies are doing okay!
Keep up the good work!!

Hola Ladies!!!!
Well life has been busy for me to say the least. Last wednesday my parents came into town. I did my workouts for Chalean and was doing GREAT. Friday, Saturday and Sunday were really busy days for me as Kayla was in her ice show! She did great BTW! I will post a picture of her as soon as Jeff can get it off my phone. I snacked on healthy snacks while we were there but really I am sure I went over my calories. I woke up friday morning after doing Chalean and my deltoid was killing me in my left arm. My mom had to help me with Kayla's hair and even my own hair it hurt so bad. So needless to day I have not been lifting weights at all. I am still working out doing a lot of cardio but my shoulder still hurts Yesterday my friend and I went for a run (433 calories burned and had a worn out doggie!!!) and on the way home found a stranded puppy in the creek. So we get her out and I brought her home. cleaned her, fed her, played with her and she was sooooooooooooooo darn sweet! Jeff and I thought about keeping her. Well once she got in all her sleep was so hyper we could not do it. Her and Bella got along fine but Bella was not into the hyperness. So we took her to the VHS today. She was 38lbs and only 3 months old!!!! They said she was a Lab/ great peroniess mix. Very cute and very sweet and I am sure she will find a great home very fast! Last night after our run and messing with that puppy my friend and I did BL yoga and burned 130 calories about. Today I have not worked out and I am not sure if I am going too. That run yesterday in the cold made me not feel so good (sore throat, ear ache, head ache and cough). So we shall see. I am back to logging my food again and today I am going to keep it low so that I don't have to work out lol.
I have not read all the posts yet so I will catch up in a bit. Working on school with the kiddos.
Hope you are all doing GREAT!!!
Amanda0 -

hope everyone else is doing well!!!
off to practice my dances.... then off to school!! have a great night!0 -
Hey guys, did the same thing as yesterday. Once I started I really felt yesterdays work. I love Jillian Michaels.
Nicole you are a great inspiration. You do a lot exercise, school, and you are a great mom. I don't know how you do it. When is that dance thing again?
Now I need to start getting to know the rest of you.
Have a nice day.0 -
I just read the other posts.
Passion Thank you for welcoming me. That BFBM is really a killer. I love doing it though, I love to push myself. I do the NMTZ then the BFBM. I hate the jump squats. My knees burn during those. Do you do 30 Day Shred? I love that one too.0 -
Good Morning Amigas!!!
I did day1 level 1 of the 30 day shred. I love my Chalean and between my deltoid and my shines I can't lift that heavy. In the 20minutes I was able to burn 200 calories. Not as much I would like to in a day but hey in the beginning I was doing that work out in the morning and then something else in the evening so maybe I will go back to that for a bit. Plus if I am not eating my exercise calories I don't want to much left behind.
Macobb- Welcome to this wonderful group!!! I think I may have to try these workouts you are talking about. I am in need of change as I have been doing these same work outs going on 6 months now. Keep up the great work!!
Nicole- Girl you ROCK!!!! You are my hero! I really want to go back to school for fitness and nutrition just not sure how to do that with homeschooling my kids and being a wife and mommy.
Sandy- I hope that you were able to have your bowl of cereal at 7:45 last night! I LOVE the biggest loser and I think that red girl need to GO!!!!! I for some reason have been craving oranges and grapefruits and wanting to eat them all day so before 8 last night I had one of each and then a nice hot cup of detox tea while I watched the show. Keep up the great work outs lady!!!
Spicy- I hope you everything is going ok for you I miss ya!!!
Passion- Great job this weak-end! They are hard for all of us and even though you went over you still great Keep kickin butt!!!
Oh I forgot to tell you. Kayla went to ice skating last night and passed to advance to the next level. They also asked her to be apart of Future Stars which is a group that practices for 6 weeks and then they compete :noway: She is really loving skating and wants to do this so we are going to let her. It is going to cost us a lot of money as it is 35 to be part of that group and 50 for her lesson plus every couple of weeks we are going to pay 10 bucks for a private lesson for her to help gain her confidence before the competition. It is well worth it when I see that HUGE smile on her face!!! I do need a little advice, she is REALLY hard on herself! She wants to be a GREAT skater and last night they were teaching her somethings that she does not need to learn just yet and when she could not get it on the first time around she broke down in tears. It broke my heart and yet I am not sure of what the right words to say to her are. Any advice? It did not stop her from wanting to skate just so frustrated with herself. That is also part of why we decided on some private lessons.
Anyway lol Make it a GREAT Wednesday!!!
Amanda0 -
Hey Ladies!
Just wanted to let you know I made this really yummy snack today! Small Granny smith apple cut into bit size pieces, 1 TBSP of chopped dates, 1/2 TBSP honey and a little cinnamon mix it together and it is really yummy only 120 calories!!!!0 -
Hey girls!!
Today, our step & tone trainer threw in the circuit training again!! UUUGGHH!! Two Wednesdays in a row!! I really do love it though!! I'm physically dead on my feet when it's all over, but at the same time, I feel strong! I forgot to wear my HRM so I'm guessing by last weeks numbers that it's roughly 350 for the hour.
Nicole, you are so awesome!! Good for you on signing up for those races! There's one coming up in March that I've been thinking about doing... would you keep pushing me?? I really just need to commit & do it!! I guess fear of the unknown is holding me back. I'm not looking to take a gold medal or anything, I just really think it'd be a cool experience. I need to start training to run now to be in shape for it. It's only a 5K, I think that's a little more then 3 miles, but I know the important thing is getting into a good rithym with it.
Amanda, so good of you to save that puppy & to realize your limitations of not wanting such a big DOG!! I know it was a hard choice, but you're better off giving all your time & attention to Bella & the rest of your family. We have two dogs & it's crazy around here!
I too am having shoulder issues. I hurt my rotator cuff a few months ago & it was just beginning to feel better, but then I pushed it too far last Friday while lifting & it's been sore ever since. It's getting better, I just have to let it rest & heal. I can't raise it straight up to the side. Up to the front - no problem.
I agree with you on the Biggest Loser - the Red chic needs to go!! She's totally playing "the game". Why can't she just fess up??? I hope that B & J whip the mess out of her in the gym next week!!!
Megan, great job on those workouts!! Jump squats are awesome, but be careful of your knees. Is there any alternative moves you can do during that period?? I like to search google for that sort of information. I'll let you know if I find anything!
Spicy, we love ya babe!! Thoughts & prayers for you Amiga!
Have a great rest of the day!!
Sandy0
