For me it's always "you carry your weight well." But say it back and you're pretty much the rudest person in the world.

"you're beautiful, for a big girl" ...a variation of "such a pretty face"...but that was only said to me once.0
-
other than my one rude grandmom, she compli-insults me all the time.0
-
You'll grow into your ears someday....
I had large ears as a child0 -
"You look so great, I didn't recognize you!" lol at least the girl was drunk when she said it. I was like "Umm, thanks."0

Yes I used to get both of these too.0 -

I get that a lot0 -
You look beautiful pregnant! .............. I wasn't pregnant.. - ___ -0
-
You always look nice because you dress for your weight.
Um...thanks?0 -
"You don't look as big as you are, though."
and I just gave a look like. "thank...you...?"0 -
I didnt realise how much of a beautiful young woman you are (after I had lost about 70lb)0
-
You have a great shape for a big girl.
Then she was annoyed that I didn't profusely thank her.0 -
I second the pregnant comment. Someone asked when I was due.0

Ma'am
course now that I'm older than that first time, its no bother now...if some smarthat asks for my ID for wine now I just give them a stare down0 -
How about "I'm amazed at how you can do that with your size."
What do people expect?0 -
"You're very brave to wear such a tight dress, girl!"
Hmm. :huh:0 -
Lately, I've been getting this one a lot
"You look great for your age"
:grumble:0 -
Whenever I tell people how much I weigh (which isn't much) it is typically followed by "Wow I would never have guess you weighed that much!"0
-
Im not sure if this is an insult yet I somehow always feel insulted when its said to me. "you look amazing for a mother of 6" (not sure what to make of it) also when told I was a mother of 6 the lady said "but you're so beautiful" wtf?0

years ago, I lost about 40 pounds with Weight Watchers. A male co-worker was suggesting something for me "since I had a weight problem and all".....WTF? I lost 40 pounds! And I had a healthy BMI! That made me feel like that year of hard work was pointless.0

I had my Coast Guard foul weather jacket on, and it had my last name stenciled in big letters across the back... I walked into an Enlisted Mans club and there was a comedian on stage doing his act... as I passed the stage and headed to the back where the bar was he said over the microphone "Hey, you misspelled GOODYEAR"
It hurt... but cracked me up also... gotta admire wit even if you are the victim :mad:0 -
From my boss, "you look terrible today, I hope you get to feeling better" :ohwell:0

My father n law told me I was as healthy as a horse.
I've also been asked how far along I am many times while at was at 140lbs and I'm 5'7 1/2.0 -
One of my regular customers asked me if I was pregnant when I wasn't (sigh), and her cover-up was, "It's just that you're glowing! You look so radiant!" (Riiiiight-*****! Haha)0
-
Wow. You look wonderful. I almost didn't know it was you...
I hadn't seen this woman in years. I must have really looked a hot mess last time she saw me.0 -
"You carry your weight very evenly" is a big one I've gotten and "You're just really curvy, don't worry about being skinny" which really means "You're fat and will probably always be, so stop trying." Or maybe that's just what I hear because I'm paranoid...
I've also gotten the whole "you have a really pretty face" thing before too.
OH and HOW could I forget, the one I get ALL THE TIME: "You look good for having a kid." How about just, "you look good"??? Gotta throw that "for having a kid" part in there as if to say "you obviously haven't lost all the baby weight ."0 -
Lately, I've been getting this one a lot
"You look great for your age"
:grumble:
Well you fuggin' do!! You look great for any age, dammut!0 -
can i play with them? (points to man boobs)
they look inviting!
me=headdesk..0 -
Both from Himbo:
You don't sweat much for a fat lass!
And him watching me put my make-up on said.............you do not wear enough of that!0 -
"You don't look like a chemist."0
-
I don't know if this really qualifies as an insult, but I always feel offended when someone who has known me before and during the weight loss is, "You've always been a beautiful girl".....Umm...I never really know what to say to this without sounding narcissistic or full of myself because my response is usually, "I've always known that I have been and still am beautiful". My weight did not and continues to not define how I feel about my "beauty".0
