Whoa. Do not take offense but your *kitten* is amazing! Squats have done ya good...I have been trying and trying to get mine to lift and its being so stubborn!
No offence taken! Thank you! My booty was the first thing to change, and my stomach was the last. I'm still working hard on my mid-section. You can do anything you set your mind to!
Damn damn DAMN!!! I want your booty, it is freakin AMAZING!!!0 -

Hit them weights hard!0 -
So inspired! I've been flirting with the idea of "New Rules" for awhile now, but I find weight lifting SO. DANG. BORING! Varied cardio is the only way to keep my brain interested (or more misty-woo-woo slow stuff like yoga or ballet)! Did anybody else who has stuck with a heavy lifting program struggle with this at the beginning or all the way through?0

WOW! You all are amazing.0

Hold on Im having a psychic vision. Weight rooms across the country are gonna see a massive influx of women lifters.0

I would welcome this  I'm the only one in there right now. Some days I feel like pulling other women over and showing them how great it can be. LOL0 -

My squats certainly haven't delivered me a booty like this, awesome!! I'm a bit jealous.... back to the rack.0 -
I LOVE this thread. But I have no clue about weight lifting. I use machine weights.. is that just as effective?? I find it easier to use and I can use it without any guidance. I wouldn't have a clue about free weights. I love every single before and after here and I am in process of losing weight. I enjoy working out and would like this same results.0

Machine weights don't give you the full fiber tear down that free weights do. Free weights recruit more muscle fibers, so I like to do the free weights then do the machines to isolate muscle.
Dropped from 330 to about 225ish in a year or so. What sucks is I dropped so fast that my skin hasnt adapted so it looks turrible on my abs.0 -

You can get results from machines for sure. Free weight are going to be superior for the reasons mentioned above. The big compound lifts (squats, dead lift, bench press, rows, pull ups and so on) are going to give you the best bang for the effort though. If you really want to see these kind of results it is really important that you try to get into the free weight section as soon as you can. Find an instructor, video or manual and try to get started.0 -
Not my most recent pics but these were taken 2 months back and the last two about 5 months back. I've been lifting heavy for more than a year now
2009 at 75 kg, 43% body fat:
2011 (in-between my journey), already near my goal weight but still flabby all over
2012 at 54kg, 19% body fat
