@amandaeve We have a lot of similar tastes in food, apparently. Never thought to mix eggs and tempeh. I guess you dip some of the tempeh in the soft yolk?! I'm intrigued at the yummy potential!! Also, I'm now going to make a spring roll for lunch. Thx for the inspo!
The plan was to mix the tempeh in with the stir-fry, but this was a very bitter variety so I ended up steaming it separately. And, yes, dip it in the yolk I did!
I finally tried this for today's breakfast. A warmed over and slightly crispy "quinoa and sesame" tempeh with soft boiled eggs. Oh my my my! Thank you for the inspo!2 -

@amandaeve The southwestern stir fry looks particularly good to me! Do you have a recipe for your garbanzo balls that you'd be willing to share?0

Canh soup made with corn shoots i grew on the balcony was a fail. Hubby objected to strong fish sauce flavour and I objected to tough, stringy shoots because they were harvested too late. Happily everything else was quite nice. Roasted asparagus, some store bought cold prosciutto cotto, smashed potatoes, hollandaise.

Apparently, it's a type Middle Eastern breakfast soup?! I ate mine for dinner, topped with grilled red onions and a side of paratha.

I had a lot of shellfish left over from earlier this week - so added a bunch of vegetables & herbs... 👩🍳

I really need to learn how to plate/photograph food better. It was a super tasty brunch though. I'm trying out a new low cal/zero net carb bread I found at my local Aldi's. It may not be restaurant quality due to thickness for french toast, but it did its job well in this application for at home yumminess.
645 kcal total on the plate, 39.1 g protein, 29.2 g net carbs. Full of flavor.

Sure! I used this recipe, but changed the spices and didn't make the sauce. I'm trying to get my bf on board with more vegetarian options, but he doesn't care for spicy food. For the record, he said he didn't like the meal, but he did eat it. I'll probably try it again with a different sauce. The texture of the balls was...unexpected, but I enjoyed them.1 -
California roll your own handrolls and miso soup.

Alexandrian style - Egyptian Lamb liver.. I’m a spice-aholic. 😋
First time I had this in Cairo - I was in love with all the spices. I grew up on liver and onions - but in this recipe - the cumin, citrus, sea salt, garlic, chilis & cardamom really make a nice flavor. Hope I did it justice!
(Liver really doesn’t photograph well. ☺️)

My meals only look good when someone else makes them for me 😂 (boyfriend made it)5
