First of all, I am kind of freaked out...I saw 216 on the scale this morning! 216!!! WTH?! It was 216.4 after brushing my teeth  . I have no idea what is going on because I have my period, I feel almost like I shouldnt get excited about it because its a fluke?! I was at 221 on Friday and now Im at 216...just seems so impossible to me. If its true Ill take it, Im just scared to get excited about it if its not real! :embarassed: I HOPE OH I HOPE ITS REAL!

Website on shape- I was a top hour glass? I dont even know what that means, but I always thought I was a pear shape
coloradogirl- so glad your back and posting, and glad you are feeling more eneregetic. Good luck on day 2!
jesyka- how old is your baby? I saw you were pushing a stroller, my son is 16 months and a handful:love::ohwell:
awestafall- you def look hot in that pic! you amaze me with your runs...I wish I could go that long!
pos- I would get your hubby to join in on the fun.I like competition and if you are the same it will give you the drive to keep going and try to 'beat him'
jlb- I literally laughed out loud at you doing the moneky bars at work in your dress up clothes hahaah ur awesome
on the ticker debate- I have my weight loss from pre-MFP days but I was only dieting for like 2 weeks prior to finding MFP so its pretty even, I guesss. I think it should show all your loss though cause its more motivating and reminds you how far youve already come
Blue-GO BLUE, ITS YOUR BIRFDAY WE GONNA PARTY LIKES ITS YOUR BIRFDAY!!! CONGRATS ON THE 60+ LOSS!
Crispy- congrats on your 20th year anniversary, I hope to make it that long :blushing:

    Cris
Thanks Cris!! Pretty soon you will be right there with me running. And HOLY CRAP 12 pounds this month girl you should have a party for yourself.Thats awesome!!!
Ok I am going to brag on myself this morning.I looked in the mirror and said to myself WOW you really do look smaller and look better and for me I was proud of myself for seeing my inner and outer beauty for the first time in a long time.I am doing this and I am making changes that will last a lifetime.I can wear an XL t shirt now and XL- stretchy pants. A size 16 fits now but is still a bit snug for my liking but they button and zip no problems.

Girls & boys, do you notice something different on my post? :blushing: I FNALLY HIT 6 - 0!!!!! And this time my ticker is honest! Oh my soul and body that took me three weeks of fighting the same three pounds but I finally did it! I bet it has a LOT to do with being on vacation and not being so stressed out this week. I worked HARD for that ticker! I should re-write Donna Summer's song: "She works hard for that ticker, so hard for that ticker. She works hard for that ticker, so you better treat her right!"

CONGRATS! CONGRATS! CONGRATS! 60+ pounds is soooo fantastic! :drinker:

lstpaul-Good morning my friend. How are things going with the farm? No updates in a while!!!!
Thanks for asking momma2four - no progress has been made on figuring out what we will do with the farm yet. We did some numbers crunching, but everyone involved needs to figure out what they want to do. I need to wait anyhow until I get through our taxes (we are going to owe ALOT this year). I think it is all going to hinge on whether or not my brothers or either of my cousins are willing to keep the farm with me ... I'm not sure if I will be able to afford to keep it on my own. So it may be a few months yet before we come to any decisions, I am thinking of going there this weekend to stay overnight since I haven't actually stayed over since my Aunt passed away last fall. I'll keep you posted if anything happens.

Oh boy, let's see if I can remember what I wanted to say to everyone......

Cris - I  your ring!!!! CONGRATULATIONS again, it's beautiful so it suits you perfectly.
LilDebbie - my scale is a pain in the rear end as well. If I lean to the left I can weight 5 lbs less than if I lean to the right. This sounds silly but what I do now is balance on one foot right in the middle
Bluenote - So pleased to see your big 60, nay 62, so proud of you! :drinker:
Awestfall - um, how, I can't even contemplate jogging for 5 minutes never mind an hour, I'm in awe of you :drinker: I  your new ticker, it's almost as pretty as your new photo!
Tiger - many congrats on getting married, can't wait to see photos
Jess - I  your new ticker too, be proud of all that weight lost girl!!!!!
Cris again - 216 and 12 lbs in a month is ****in amazing !!!!! :drinker: :drinker:
Jesyka - LOL, I have a waterbed tummy too! great job logging and sticking with us
Mstahl - best of luck with getting that new and improved job.
Little Spy - I would like a video of you doing monkey bars in work clothes please  I feel you paid with the bathing suit thing, it has been a long time since i donned one of those, I too am super self conscious :blushing:
OK that's all I can remember, I'll be back later

No to the great ground meat debate -
While I like both and prefer the taste of beef - I am all about the turkey in things like chili and bolognese sauce, it's about quantity, little piggy that I am I can eat MORE of the turkey
I'm throwing a wrench in though, may favorite, by far, is actually ground lamb. We make the mest meatballs I have ever tasted with lamb, fatty but sooo worth it. Mmmmmm, meatballllllls

I should have saved up all my comments to do one post ... but I always forget what I was going to say by the time I read through everyone's posts ... so sorry for all the posts by me today.

    checking in for yesterday:
calories: over but not by alot
    exercise: walked 30 minutes
proud: ... I ran out of time before making dinner to walk and get my son from school - but I did it anyhow! My husband got home and I made him finish making the lasagna and I walked as fast as I could to get to the school before the daycare closed at 6:00 ... I made it with 10 minutes to spare!
    water: ok - 64oz

My back didn't bother me at all at step this morning, I can't believe how quickly it healed when I could barely walk just over a week ago. I'm being very careful to keep good form though and suck my stomach in to support my back while I'm exercising. It is hard to do ... so that must mean I wasn't doing it like I should have been before!

Cris - WTG on that 216...go go go ...12# is awesome yay yay yay

BLu - Wtg ON HITTING THE 60 lbs mark, you go girl.

ON all that changed their tickers you go !!!! I think it is very motivating to see how much you have lost. Mine is since i started in October, i have lost like 8lbs more than since last may but i don't include that, i started eating good exercising last june 1 then did good till july 1 then went off the wagon until july...so anyway since October

Thanks for the scale advise if i take the middle today...that would be 280.0...yes 280 that is 30lbs woohoo...I only record 1x a week on Fridays so we will see what it says tomorrow. But since I was 284.5 last week anything around that would be awesome for me...after 2 months of not really loosing anything (but the weight that i have gained is awesome)

I cannot wait till my ticker can show a big 30 + # lost and I be in the 270's like 2 birds with one stone :):)

Yowsa, y'all are more active today than normal. I love it!

Bluenote: You're an awesome musical genius and weight loss machine.

Karen (crispy): Congrats on your 20th Anniversary. I love hearing about couples that are making it work!

COgirl: I like your new pic and your renewed dedication.

Awestfall: My friend had her gallbladder removed several years ago and she can't digest red meat very well either; she always gets sick, but she can't pass up the occasional steak anyway.

Cris: Take the 216 and run with it. Now, I want your tips for losing 12 lbs. in a month, you weight loss machine. You're literally shrinking in front of our very eyes.

lstpaul: Way to go on getting your fast walk done. Good job making the husband finish dinner for you; it's all about the teamwork!

I'm not yet sure whether I'll have a chance to check in for tomorrow's weigh in but I'll sure try to do so before I head out of town. Unfortunately, MFP doesn't work very well with my Blackberry so I'm not sure I'll get to check in at all over the weekend. Boo! I can't wait for them to get a Blackberry App so I can be obsessed all the time!

Anyway, I'll check in as much as I can today to try to ward off any withdrawals this weekend.

Cris- oooh Brazillian!!! I will have to look up Churrasco. I am sicilian and I grew up on well can you imagine GARLIC    I am not a huge pasta fan!! When we were growing up it seemed like we ate pasta almost every single day!!!! I know we did not it just seemed like it. Don't get me wrong I make it. I love ravioli's but noone ever has them with spinach that is how we always ate them and I love them that way./ I make fantastic meatballs with my 94/6 ground beef with lots of garlic. I am able to put garlic in EVERYTHING I make except bake goods and I am not much of a baker but a really good cook!!!! Sorry I am stalking too I should be doing something with my house and making those beans for tomorrows potluck at my hubbys work!!

Heather- Im thinking about getting an iphone just so I can stalk 100% of the time, hehe jk. Iphones are too rich for my blood. As for tips on losing 12lbs a month, honestly it beats the hell out of me. I was completely shocked myself. I dont think Im doing anything differently then I have been since I started this journey...except my 'jogs' are longer now. Jan I lost 13.4lbs (thanks to water weight too though) Feb I lost 8.6lbs and it looks like March is going to be somewhere near 12lbs! I am astounded to say the least. :noway:

Momma- OMG GARLIC IS MY SECOND FAVORITE THING! I also add it to just about anything I cook, BF (ops I mean fiance:laugh: )doesnt love it as much as I do so Ive cut back some but I am garlic queen! I might need that meatball recipe after all!! Look up a restaurant called "Fogo do Chao" they have it here in the states and they serve churrasco which is our take on BBQ....omg so good Im drooling

Cris, you inspired me to look back & see how much I've lost each month I've been here.

In Sept (which was just Sept 8-30), I lost 13.0#
    October: 12.0#
    November: 8.6#
December: 6.6# (oh, there were soooo many cookies )
    January: 11.6#
    February: 7.0#
March: As of this morning? 1.2 pounds!!! As of yesterday? NOTHING! Zilch, BIG FAT ZERO. :noway: :explode:

 Okay, I'm so over it now. I guess I should really think about how awesome it is that I lost 1.2 pounds between yesterday & today. Let's hope the downward trend has restarted (I'm not holding my breath).

But anway, yeah, Cris, 12 pounds in a month is bada**!

Cris: My friends go to Fogo Do Chao (however it's spelled) and they've invited me but I've never gone. Would it be dangerous to go there?? I wish I could have an iPhone because it has better apps and capabilities but I'm with TMobile, so the Blackberry was as close as I could get. I know several people have put requests in to the MFP creators to get a BB app, so I'm crossing my fingers. Then I could stalk all the time too!

Momma: I'm also a huge garlic fan but my boyfriend doesn't like me to eat it around him because he says I smell like garlic after I eat it. So, I load up on it on the days I won't see him and stay (somewhat) away when I will see him. After all, I don't want to be the stinky girlfriend, but I could totally eat it with every meal!

Yes, its totally dangerous! Its like $42 a plate so there is no sense going there if you are actually going to 'watch' what you eat. You have to go there and enjoy all the different cuts of meat, you MUST try all of it! I went there on Mach 13th and I did not hold back one bit....I will say that in preparation I under ate (like 300cals under) the day before and the day after. The day after I went there for dinner I showed a 2lbs GAIN that was gone by Sunday (2 days). I def think you should try it...but dont be surprised if the scale goes the wrong way!!!

jlb- You had really good months! I cant believe you lost weight in Nov and Dec...I'll remember that you were able to do that this year when I tell myself its impossible to lose weight during the holidays (omg christmas cookies and turkey...mmM)

Alright so I wrote down mini notes as I went through the posts lol so Hopefully I got them all..

Lildebbie-You'll be seeing that 30+loss and 270's weight in NO time!! But don't get used to it cause before you know it you'll be at 40+ gone and in the 260's :D

1stpaul-Way to go on getting your walk in!! It would have been easy to just not do it, and continue with dinner so YOU GO GIRL!!

    Crispy-Congrats on your 20th anniversary I think that's fabulous :)

Cris- 12+ weight loss!! That's amazing, Nothing better than seeing the numbers go DOWN on the scale, for you they seem to be flying, keep up whatever it is you're doing cause it's working! I have two little girls, My oldest daughter will be 3 June 30th and my Youngest daughter just turned a month old...If there were ever a better work out lol!

Momma-I have yet to try the dvds, plan on trying them out tomorrow morning when my kids are the most occupied [dr's appointments ruined this morning for being able to start]

Bluenote- 60+ weight loss!! if that isn't success I don't know what is [little happy dance]

Omg!! Everyone is doign an awesome job this week. Thanks to everyone for the comments about my new picture and my running abilities. If it weren't for you guys I would probably be sitting on the couch eating a bag of chips and never thinking about exercise again.Sure I have my bad days when I don't want to do anything but I remind myself of why I should exercise and eat right. Its funny just a few minutes ago I was havign a debate with myself about whether or not to have a grilled cheese sandwich.I just finished lunch not even an hour ago and for some reaso grilled cheese sounded so good to me.So instead of ruining my whole day(because my calories are already logged and set for the day including my exercise cals from this morning) by gobbling a whole sandwich down I ate half and gave the other half to my baby girl.I wouldn't have runied my calories by eating the whole thing but I wanted to stay right at 1200 calories today and eating half made it perfect.I think I am finally back in weight loss mode officially.

Cris-I have the MFP ap for the iphone and unless I'm stupid there isn't a way to get on the message boards from the phone. You can log all your calories and exercise and update your measurmetns but you can't get on the discussion boards. I didn't know they existed until I actually got on the webiste! That took me about a month or so before I realized the website was even there. Shows how dense I can be sometimes!

There's a live culture in it that's supposed to aid digestion.

The fun thing is that like.. all yogurts contain live culturs that aid in digestion. I guess the one in activia is supposed to be especially helpful? Bifidis Regularis or something like that.

I too am an iphone junkie.
The MFP app has it's limitations but is so helpful for logging your foods, you can even look something up while you are at a restaurant to see how many cals it is. I'd be lost without it.
Jess, I just go on Safari on the iphone for looking at the boards, it's not the most convenient on the tiny screen but at least I get my board fix in.

quick check in on the lunch hour here... eating some homemade chicken soup. YUM...

anyway.. Iphone... I have Verizon so, I can't have the Iphone.. BUT..... the Itouch works just the same. I did put the app on my Itouch and I do like it. You have to use the wifi and It does work a little different in the fact it shows ALL of your vitamins, fiber, etc on your daily log but does not do that on the website. In addition you can not get to the forums unless you use wifi and actually use the built in browser which works.. but is somewhat of a pain. Overall I do like the app for on the go.

GARLIC... YUM I too put garlic in most everything I can.. I just love it.

Smilies... I get my smilies from different web sites.. One that I like to use is. www.freesmileys.org You can also just do a search for Free forum smilies. It just keeps things interesting and fun... guess that is the computer geek in me..

Thanks for the comment on the new pic. I just figured I should update everything since I am starting over!
Well.. I have to get back to work.. I will check back in later
