Well, finally got my scale fixed and my two week hiatus from weighing/logging gave me a 2 pound weight gain. Blech! I didn't think I was eating poorly either ... just goes to show that tracking is important.
Did you stay within your nutritional goals? yes
Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? yes
What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? back to tracking
What would I have done differently? eaten a better dinner
What is today's personal goals? check in, track calories, 60 minutes body pump done at the Y
GW at the end of the Spring 2013 check in - 6/21/13 219 (not going to happen now unless I get a miracle on the scale!)
Sun- rest - DONE
Mon - 40 minutes step - DONE
Tues - 60 minutes sbody pump DONE
Wed - rest? or 40 minutes step
Thurs - 45 minutes step
Fri - 60 minutes step or 60 minutes turbo kick
Sat - walk/run at the farm0 -

Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes and no. I stayed within my calories without using exercise credit but didn't drink my 8 glasses of water
What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Tracked. and sent a message to Sunshyn for motivation and support.
What would I have done differently? Drank more water and exercised even though I was within carlories.
What is today's personal goals? Exercise and drink 8 glasses of water.

So... we are coming to a close of the Spring 2013 check-in. Since March I have gone from 213 to 202.5. Finally got my mind back on track. When my mind is on track so is my eating. I feel like I've accomplished more this check in than I have in a long time. I am happy with my results and hope to keep the pace going. Next week my daughter and I are going to Disney. I know there will be a lot of walking so I just need to keep my eye on my eating. Kudos to everyone who has been checking in. This is the most active check-in we've had in a long time (and I've been doing this check in for 4 years - WOW!). I will be posting a new Summer 2013 check in on Friday. Hope everyone can join in again!!! Let me know if you have any suggestions :bigsmile:
Sun- a 2+ mile walk with my daughter - first time she's walked with me for exercise

Thanks Goldk for keeping this going! I didn't start checking in on this until April, but I have lost almost 15 pounds since it started in March. I am now at 171.8 pounds. My GW is 155, so I will continue to check in for awhile!
Mon - 3 hours of manual labor at work (I usually sit at a desk all day!)
Tues - 24 minutes on stationary bike
Wed - 17 minutes fast walking

The old saying goes do not go shopping until you eat. I broke down and bought a chocolate bar before lunch. ;(
I am tracking my weekends only diary for my nutritionist and I see her next Monday. I can really see how my
weekend eating is so out of whack.
GOLDK: I hope you continue this in the summer. I will be on vacation for 2 weeks starting next Wednesday
but I will return. :bigsmile:

Thank you all for welcoming me into this check-in group and thanks to goldk for setting it up I started tracking within the last couple of weeks and joined the Daily Check In thread the next day! It's certainly a help and requires me to think and plan every day. I enjoy reading everybody's daily accomplishments and daily struggles! If nothing else, it makes me realize I'm no different than anyone else with the same goals and struggles! I started at 217..........down to 211. My mindset is in a pretty good place so I'm committed to make this happen! I expect to be at GW set for the end of the Spring 2013 check in of 210 on the 21st! Thanks again goldk...........setting little short term goals is not as overwhelming as thinking about my overall goal!0 -

What would I have done differently? not eat back so many exercise calories

Mon - 50 mins Dance/walk abs workout (Jessica smith tv)
Tues -50 mins mix of HIIT and cardio
Wed - 50 mins Flat abs walking vid (JS again) and 90 mins gardening
Thurs - 50 mins cardio and going to fit in another workout when I get home from work
Fri - I will get up again and do 50 mins of something
Sat - 60 mins walk
Sun- Rest day
I'm on track, I have upped my exercise in recent weeks, this week I haven't been able to fit in those extra 60 mins walks I would do - normally do about 4 of those a week but I've pushed myself hard in the morning workouts and am feeling greatttt (apart from having aching muscles lol)0 -

I know. I've been looking at that more closely and prepared food is FULL of sodium! I'm able now to do more home cooking so that's what I need to do!
I'll have to think hard about my summer goal. Will be vacationing for about 6 weeks but will have a kitchen for most of it and will be hiking and walking, so I have no excuse to not keep on track!0 -

Well, I managed to maintain that 5 pound loss of last week and still weigh 143 pounds. Further loss would have been nice, but I when you eat too much & don't exercise enough... well, it just ain't happenin'.
