hey ya'll i'm back! lol. well I have awesome news! out of curiosity i hopped on the scale last night and it was borderline 169-170 so I almost fell back in disbelief (it was my room mate's scale so i was very skeptical). then today i went to my old gym (to use the scale I always use for weigh ins) and it confirmed I am down to 170/171 so I averaged it to 170.5. Wow I never thought I would get there. I haven't been logging for a while but I have really tried to watch what I eat and at what time. My last weigh in was 5/28 @ 178 lbs so that's about 8 lbs in 12weeks. very slow but Hey I am happy with the results. I haven't been able to work out that much so I am not as tone as I would like to be but I still feel great! I have bought a pair of jeans to motivate me to get to my goal as well as a gorgeous plum dress I bought today.

I really need to catch up with ya'll and I know I keep saying it but work has been really busy and I cannot get on at work anymore like I used to. Anyhoo!

CHOCO I see u are doing chalene extreme? that must mean u completed p90x so congratulations for completing one program and starting a new one! you must be excited miss lady! u needs to adjust ur ticker cuz i can't even find it now. its way off the page how awesome!

Dawna , porterbaby and crickss hope ya'll are doing awesome!

Good morning! Last night my girlfriends and I went to the screening of "Breaking Up is Hard to Do" which was written and produced by an associate of mine and it was EXCELLENT! This young lady is already an author with at least 3 books published so I knew the storyline would be good but wasn't sure if they would find actors/actressess who could really make her vision come to life especially since this was her first film and she wasn't working with a huge budget BUT the cast really did a great job. They had a lot of ppl come out and support the film w/a 30 minute "Q & A" session directly following.

I had a great time and I'm really glad I could be there to support her. She and company are currently in discussions with possible distributors and I really hope they can find someone willing to give them a chance in the mainstream.

I met this young lady a few years ago b/c she was the featured author at one of my book club meetings. Since she was a local author she was able to attend the meeting and she had such a great personality. After the meeting we exchanged email addresses and kept in contact periodically. Approximately 6-8 months later she launched her publishing company and invited me to the launch party. I had a good friend who was trying to get her book published so I thought it would be a great idea to bring her so they could meet. Their meeting went great and as a result my friend was able to publish her first novel 2 years ago and is currently working on her second. It's just a wonderful feeling to support people who are really trying to make positive things happen for themselves.

I have not done a workout as of yet but plan on completing CLX - Recharge since it's my designated rest day. I'll post my workout once it's completed.

NOLA: Congrats on the weight loss. I'm so glad you were able to continue losing w/o logging food and not really exercising. A lot of times ppl stop a routine and the old habits find their way back but so glad that didn't happen with you. I did complete the P90X program and I'm sooo proud of myself b/c I didn't think I would make it three months. I had to repeat a few weeks b/c of the mini vacays but nonetheless I can say my first round is complete. I'm currently entering my 3rd week of CLX and it's taking some getting use to b/c the pace is soooo much slower than Insanity and P90X. I am however thankful for the fact that the CLX workouts are ALOT shorter than P90X. There have been times when I havent felt like working out and then I say to myself "it's only 30 minutes" and I make myself get up. It's hard to sike yourself up to workout when you know its going to be a hour.

hey NOLA! so glad to hear from you! I miss this thread! I'm gearing up for my Half Marathon this Saturday. And I am excited to get back on track with ChaLean Extreme after I'm done. I'm also thinking of purchasing Insanity pretty soon. I haven't stepped on the scale for a while, but mostly because I'm not trying to lose weight right now-- because of training. But, as of next week...its operation "Get These Pounds Off of Me!"

    have a wonderful day everyone!

    Good morning ladies!
Last night I rushed home to get a quick run in before we had company over. I was determined to get AT LEAST one good run in before the race. The last 2 runs have been awful. So, I ran a little more than 3 miles (3.05 to be exact), and I tried to do it as fast as I could-- for endurance, speed, as well as just to get my butt home to shower before company came. I ended up with an 8 minute-mile, and climbed 400 feet. It was really hard, but it felt great and I never once walked, even when I got to the top of the hill. I know a lot of running is mental, so I was glad to have a good, clean run-- to give me the mental and emotional support for Saturday. Yahoo!! I am also really watching what I am eating this week. Last week was a weird/off week for me and I ate more sweets than typical. This week is a week of absolutely NO sweets. Clean eating, and lots of good carbs, less fats to keep me energized and sustained. I am getting excited!!! Tonight I'm going to do a little kickboxing and do some pilates/yoga to stretch out my muscles. Have a great day!!!!

Good morning and happy Tuesday! Today is week 3 day 2 of the Chalean Extreme program which means it's a cardio day. I decided to change it up a little, so instead of completing the Fatbuster dvd like I had been doing I threw in Jillian Michael's Blast Fat/Boost Metabolism. Boy did I forget how this workout makes you sweat. I feel great and am about to enjoy a protein shake.

Dawna: Job well done. I can't wait til Saturday for your race. I know you're going to do awesome.

    Good morning ladies!
I didn't get up early this morning, I was tired! But, I figure I'm not going to feel too guilty about it this week cause I am going to need my rest and energy for Saturday. Although I feel conflicted because I feel like I should be doing a lot more workouts. But, I've limited it to 3 this week. Tonight I'm planning on doing the Burn Intervals, Thursday is another nice jog, and Saturday the race. I'm excited! I'm having a "fat" week though...I don't know what it is...but I feel bigger. Its a weird feeling. I haven't gotten on the scale because I don't want to disappoint myself, so I'm trying to play denial. I'm thinking it has to do with my week of too many sweets...ugh! But, this week has been a clean week, so I'm hoping this "blah" feeling is out of my system by Friday. I have a feeling it will be! I'm taking a vacation day on Friday and my parents are coming into town tonight! Yippee!

Well, hope you ladies have a great day!!

Good morning and happy Thursday! I thought this morning's workout was going to be cancelled because there was a horrible thunderstorm in my area when I woke up and I was fearful the electricity would go out. Despite the roaring skies and pouring rain my electricity stayed intact and I was able to rock out my workout. Today is week 3 day 4 of the Chalean Extreme program and I completed the Burn Intervals dvd.

Dawna: If you've been eating clean i'm sure the scale will reflect it plus you've been rocking out your workouts. Do what you think is best for you and if it's not getting on the scale then I say wait a little longer. I'm so excited about your upcoming race. I just know you'll do awesome.

Good morning! Today is my last day of the week..yahoo! I am taking off tomorrow to play with my family since they are coming into town tonight. Last night I did the Burn Intervals. This morning I woke up early and did a short 30 minute run. I ran fast despite my initial thoughts of running slower, but I had some major energy this morning. It was also pretty cool this morning, fall is definitely on its way. It was 45-50 degrees this morning!!! I didn't mind it at all for my run. The weather is so drastic here. Yesterday morning it was about 40 in the morning, and by 2pm it was 92 degrees! But, I don't mind the cool weather in the mornings. I love Fall...but Fall doesn't last long around here, winter comes wayyy too quick and it lasts wayyy too long. I am getting excited to be done with training so I can start ChaLean Extreme again next week, and hopefully order Insanity.

Choco- way to rock the Burn Intervals. I don't know what it is, but that workout gets me sweating majorly everytime.
And thanks for the encouragement and support!! I greatly appreciate it!!

hello ladies! how has everyone been? i've been so tired at work i can barely ever check in with u girls but i am trying to start getting back into the routine of logging and checking in.
Today I tried Jillian Michael's no more trouble zones and holy cow! it was tough! it kicked my butt but it was an awesome workout!
I burned 650 cals in about 50 minutes which is more than I've ever done in a single workout!

needless to say i feel awesome and I'm going to try to incorporate this dvd into my routine more often.

i have been so happy about my weight loss so far that i am more inclined to going shopping and last night i got some great stuff at Target. 2 tops, 3 dresses (I dont usually wear them that often but I felt great in them) and a pair of jeans. \

well hope everyone has had a a great weekend and is doing well. :flowerforyou:

PORTERBABY: keep up the great work. Are you still doing brazillian butt lift?
DAWNA: congratulations on completing your race! WTG! i can only imagine how great you must feel!
CHOCO: i would love to hear more about your CLX workouts.i know dawna said they were really effective but right now i am going to try to stick to the NMTZ workouts for a while.

Happy Sunday all! Today is week 3 day 7 of the Chalean Extreme program which means it's a rest day. I completed 2 miles of the Leslie Sansone Fat Burning dvd while holding 3 lb weights in each hand. I was able to get a nice little burn. Now that the clothes are ironed for the week and the grocery shopping has been done I'm going to chill out the rest of the day. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

    hi ladies!!
Hope you are all having a great Monday! I usually don't like Mondays...but today happens to be my birthday, and I'm still feeling good about Saturday's race! The race was great, even though I wasn't feeling too good. I kind of had a bug of some sort, but I pushed through and ended up finishing the 13.1 miles in about 2 hours 16 minutes. A little slower than I had anticipated, but I climbed a HUGE 700 foot climb, and a bunch of other hills...plus I had water swooshing in my stomach. So, I'm getting ready to sign up for another race and do it all over again, hoping that the next time the conditions will be perfect and I won't feel too sick. Afterwards I got a sweet massage and then went home and took a nap. It did feel like quite the accomplishment! I'm already looking to run another race before winter comes!! I have to admit, my parents and my husband were taking pictures, and I look pretty good!!! My quads are pretty sore today, so I'm hoping to get a nice jog in after work to stretch out these legs!

Hope you all have a great day!

Good evening ladies. Today was definitely a rough day as it relates to workouts. My alarm clock went off at 5 am as it does every work day and I got up and put on my workout clothes AND as soon as I did I lost all desire to workout. I just could not find the energy or desire to complete my workout.
I told myself I would just count the daily 20 minute power walk I do w/my co-workers as todays exercise AND then I began feeling real guilty about skipping the designated workout so I decided to do it when I got home from work.
Today is week 4 day 1 of the Chalean Extreme program and I completed Burn Circuit 1. I'm glad I decided to push through today and get the workout completed but I'm unsure if I'll be able to do the same tomorrow. I think my lack of desire and sluggish feeling has somethin w/TOM arriving sometime this week.
On top of the sluggish feeling my appetite is all over the place.

Dawna: Happy Birthday and congratulations on a race well done. I can only dream of running a 13.1 mile never mind doing it in a little over 2 hours. You go girl!

Nola: hope all is well with you.

hey choco! I'm doing good. sounds like u were able to fight that feeling and get your workout in and that's great! what a great job. I felt the same way today. I only got like 4 hours sleep last night so today when i got home from work i was dying for a nap but did my workout instead. well guess what its past mid night and i still have a lot of energy haha.

well i hope everyone is doing great!

Good morning and happy Tuesday! Quick post b/c the work duties are calling. Today is week 4 day 2 of the Chalean Extreme program which means it's a cardio day. I completed the Turbo Jam - Fatbuster.

Nola: great job w/pushing through your workout as well. I was really glad I completed it yesterday so it was worth it in the end.

Good morning and happy Wednesday. I have only a few more days before I head to NYC for Labor Day weekend. I'm really hoping Hurricane Earl doesn't put a damper on my trip. This should be my last trip of the summer and 2010 so I really want to have a good time.

Today is week 4 day 3 of the Chalean Extreme program and it was suppose to be a strength training day but I just did not feel like lifting weights today so I threw in the Burn It Off dvd instead plus the warm up from Turbo Jam - Fatblaster.

Nola: Great job! Keep rocking it out.

    good morning!
last night I was able to go on a nice light 3 mile run. It felt so good to stretch my muscles afterwards, and now I don't have any lingering soreness from Saturday's race. I'm going on a business trip today and won't be back until Saturday, but I'm packing lots of workout clothes to get some great runs in. I'm still debating doing another half marathon at the end of September just for scheduling reasons. But, my husband really thinks I should do it, and I really want to! So, I think I'm going to get one more in before it snows!! I'll probably take the plunge and register this weekend!

    Have a great week!!

Good morning everyone! Today is my Friday since my job will be observing our furlough day tomorrow. It will be another quick post b/c my supervisor announced yesterday that my unit is under a TIGHT deadline. We have exactly 1 month to read over 110 records. I work in Social Services and review state records regarding children who are in the child protective custody. As a result of this deadline I'll be working late and probably coming in a little early.

Today is week 4 day 4 of the Chalean Extreme program which means it's a cardio day. I decided to complete Billy Blanks Cardio Boot Camp instead of Burn Intervals and got an excellent burn.

Hope to catch up on posts later.

Good morning everyone and happy Friday! Today is week 4 day 5 of the Chalean Extreme program which means it's a strength training day. I've not really felt like lifting this week so I decided to throw in the Burn Intervals dvd instead. While I wasn't 100% due to lackluster energy I did work up a nice sweat.

Good morning everyone and happy Saturday. Yesterday my flight was delayed an hour due to what I thought was hurricane Earl but when I arrived in NYC I found out they did not even get a drop of rain. The only thing I can think of was that there must of been strong winds. Anyway, I arrived in New York at about 9 PM. My cousin picked me up and then we returned to house where she and I along w/her husband stayed up to the wee hours of the morning laughing, talking and I can't lie......drinking and eating chips. I had a blast. We've not done anything like that in about 3 years. Today we plan to hit the city in hopes of doing a little sightseeing and then I think we'll try to shake a tailfeather tonight. I going to try to make some healthier choices when it comes to my food but I can already tell it's going to be difficult.

Today is week 4 day 6 of the Chalean Extreme program which means it's a cardio day. Instead of completing that workout I rocked out Core Cardio and Balance from the insanity program. I really like this workout b/c it's a full body get your sweat on workout but the pace and duration are very sustainable and do not bother my knees as much as the other Insanity workouts.
My cousin and her husband are suppose to complete this very workout w/me tomorrow but we'll see if they chicken out....LOL.

Good afternoon everyone! Today is my last full day in NYC b/c my flight departs first thing in the morning. My family and I went sightseeing yesterday and had a great time. It was a very long day so we pretty much crashed upon our return to the house. This morning we got up and my cousin and her husband decided to try their hands at an Insanity workout. I threw in the Core Cardio and Balance dvd b/c it's the easiest of the series. They gave it a go for about 15 minutes before they both decided I was on my own. I completed the rest of the workout alone. I'm glad they at least gave it a try.

hey ladies! just dropping in to say hi! hope everyone is doing great!

I have started insanity and i am hoping i will stick to it. my plan is to get it out of the way early in the mrning that way i have no excuses not to get my workouts in. i have been working late for the past month or two and its hard to workout when i get home late and starving but i'm hoping this work.
I know its been a while since we originally started this thread and I am so happy that everyone has met and exceeded their goals.
But I would like to say that I think i have finally met mine. a vast majority of my pants for work are a size 10. the size 12's i do use are falling off from me and literally can be pulled down without undoing the zipper/button. what a great feeling! jeans on the other hand i'm still in between sizes becuz of my large booty (but I love it and definately dont wanna lose it hahahaha).
so i'm pretty happy with my weight right now, just trying to tone and lost a couple more inches in my tummy and thighs.!

have a great day ladies! and thnx for all ur support :flowerforyou:
