Ladies who LOVE their thighs - WELCOME!

Ya know, this thread was NOT created with ANY intention of putting anyone down. If you came into this thread and read it with that sorta interpretation - then YOU have some deep issues you should be working on with your own self-esteem and insecurities. I am not going to apologize for this thread that was created with the idea to *encourage* women to love their thighs - since the majority of the posts on MFP are about women hating their thighs, wanting some genetically given thigh-gap, wondering how to spot-reduce the "unsightly pudge", etc. There will always be someone wanting to rain on another's parade, twist things to mean something else, and just in general be an a$$hat...take your negativity, misery, and your "woe is me" somewhere else. It's not wanted here.
I don't care what size your thighs are - <18" or 30+" - the important thing is that you embrace them and honor them for they carry your *kitten* around all day long. They work the hardest of any of your muscle groups (aside from your heart, of course) and they very rarely ever get the respect they so greatly deserve. Body hatin', in general, NEEDS to stop. But since this site is full of people with insecurities - I'm afraid it never will here. We don't have to look perfect to feel good. And the standard of "perfection" varies so greatly from culture to culture - it really doesn't matter, now does it?
Now, back to your regularly scheduled THIGH LOVING program - please, read the title - if you don't love 'em, you don't have to post in here. Move along and stop trying to stir up *kitten* in this thread. :grumble:

Christ on a bike! Seriarse?
Just get over yourselves. Public forum. I insulted nobody. I am allowed to say this is a club I probably won't ever be part of. This statement really shouldn't have such a deep impact on you guys.

I'm new to MFP and i have a long way to go, but it's so true and so important. you gotta love your thighs, because they are yours! I lovemy thighs, my hubby does too.. they are starting to tone up, but honestly i still got some cellulite and dimples here and there..but it is what it is.. embrace em! And enjoy getting it tight and right, the healthy way But i think it's way more "healthy" to embrace and love yourself , in every season.. even the less fit ones.. but to love yourself wholistically and invest in taking care of yourself is super important. Blessings!0

I just want to be able to do this, without killing myself!0 -
Speaking for myself, when I COMPLAIN about my thighs, it's not so much they are big, they aren't TONED and I think that's what most overweight women are complaining about...flab
Kudos to you who accepts your 'thighs"--yours aren't "flabby". You look great lady0 -

you have the most beautiful smile I think I have ever seen!0 -
I think this thread just points out that woman are often much more critical of themselves than the men around them. I know that there is a very wide range of characteristics that I find attractive. Certain combinations just "do it", even when the individual parts may be less than "perfect". Sometimes just the way a woman moves or the attitude she projects trumps everything. Hell, just taking an interest in the way you look and working toward that is sexy.0

that's a great set of legs!0 -
I'm working on toning my thighs and can't wait to see what they'll look like all toned up. I know that they won't be small and I'm perfectly ok with that as long as they are toned. Right now I love them with pants on, working on loving them bare0

Love my legs in general!
Beautiful legs0 -
No pics right now... but my hubby called my thighs "toned" or "athletic" or "muscular" or something like that while we were running tonight. I don't "love" my thighs yet... but I don't hate them either. It is more of a "we're just friends" relationship at the moment. LOL!
As of today I am down to a size 16 from a size 24 in 6 months. I'm thrilled beyond belief!0 -
Yay science!
Supprised I missed this thread originally.0 -
