As for my calves - I was so excited to spot my calf muscle in a wedding pic. I love them
You have my dream thighs!0 -
Still wobbly but I love them0 -
I love the spirit of this thread, too. While I do not yet love my thighs, I am working towards it. I love the progress they are making. As a former cheerleader and dancer, I know that I have strong, powerful legs that have just been neglected for too long. I am working hard to restore them to their full glorious potential. Someday I will feel comfortable in shorts and they will see the light of day again!
I'm kind of in a similar place right now. I don't have any pics of my legs but now I really want to go home and take some ) I'll come back and post.0 -
I love this thread!!!! I'm working on loving mine...I don't have any pics to share, but I can only hope that mine will look as STRONG and beautiful as yours!
You look great!!! Keep loving them thighs!!!0 -
Wow, it's Thigh Thursday, that's good for two reasons...one I was just in deep discussion about my thighs last night with the hubby. Two I worked out my thighs more than usual today by doing the elliptical before getting on a stationary bike rather than just all treadmill.
I love my thighs even though the are bigger than usual as I'm still quite far from my goal weight. The things I love about them are that they have served as a nice comfy cushy place to bounce my baby and set him on while nursing him, teaching him to feed himself, and hold him against when he ever became frightened of new situations as a toddler. Currently they are the source of all my walking treadmill workouts and I am looking forward to using them as my personal fastest growing muscle to alter my fat to muscle ratio and get that faster metabolism going. I also recall from some hazy distant past that I was a thigh gap girl in my youth for about 15 minutes in the grand scheme of things and that's enough for me. If my body wants to achieve that this time around that's fine but I doubt it because I think I'd rather bulk them up just a little to have more muscle on me faster to help my goals along. I think it's an excellent trade off, hope you agree. So off to the elliptical and bike again soon. Happy Thigh Thursday!:flowerforyou:0 -
I just dropped in to say that I love this thread! I've hated my thighs since I was in fifth grade, and hoping that I'll be comfortable enough to wear shorts for the first time since then this coming summer!0

This post just made my night! Profile picture is currently my 'inspiration picture' taken back in 2011 when my thighs were 21 inchers, but you know there is a certain charm to my 24 inchers I just can't deny.
Shaping them up but maybe adding a few more squats to my routine! Beyonce is definitely my thigh inspiration.
Much thigh love everyone!0 -
OK, I don't LOVE my thighs yet, but I'm trying to get there.
I am VERY pear shaped, I think my problem with not "loving" them has always been because I'm not at all proportionate. That and I have cellulite on back of my thighs which i've always been very self conscious of, but with working out, they are slowly looking better.
Pear shape IS proportionate. How many of us have to be pear shape before it's "normal"? 1/3rd of all women? I'd guess that's about what it is.0 -
Okay, I finally figured out to post a picture in a thread.
It's no longer Thursday where I am but I just saw this post. This picture was taken a few years ago and it's one of my favorite, if not the most favorite, pictures of myself. Unfortunately my husband has never been a leg man. :grumble: He's more of a boob man but thankfully I'm okay in that area. :blushing:

I want to learn to love my thighs. Someday...0

This is easily the best thread on this forum haha!
My ex would always tell me she thought her legs were so fat but honestly they were PERFECT and I could never convince her of that fact. She always saw these little girls with huge gaps between their legs and thought she had to be that thin to look good. But really I cannot get enough of a set of big thighs I am sorry ._.; Oh my lawd this thread......

Oh Yoovs....so do I. I was really unhappy with myself for pretty much bingeing over the holidays (okay, like ALL of December) and I put on a solid eight pounds in two months. And I can see the bit o' extra fatty fat clinging to my thighs. But rather than get all down and out about it...I said "self, you are a mfkn bada$$ - stop your pity party and do something about it!"....and well, I took a picture. Channeling some Lara Croft here...okay, not really....but yeah. I still love my thighs - they helped me squat 175-185# this week! BOOOM So I'll get over the excess weight - even if I did gain .5" on them recently.

Love this thread!! Thank you to OP.
Yes I hate my thighs too, BUT this thread has inspired me to love them!
Off down the gym in a bit! Leg day I think!0 -
I will try to not hate my thighs anymore...especially since I am going to have to accept the fact that they are never gonna be tiny lol.0

I've learned to love my thighs! I know there always going to have a little jiggle and my husband loves them, thats all that matters.0

LOVE the inspiration. I'm thinking I might need to give my thighs another look see and appreciate them a little more. Whenever I get down on them (my personal problem area), my hubby starts singing the Violent Femmes song. Gotta go by my man's taste. He's the one that has to look at them.0

Can I be your leg man? :bigsmile:0 -
I've always had big, strong legs. My mother overly politely calls my thighs "heavy." Thanks, Mom. My calves are big, too--About 17.5 inches in circumference.
But my legs are rock-solid. They're STRONG. (I once had a guy tell me that he wouldn't mind having his skull crushed between them, but that's another story for a completely different forum.) I have slim ankles and the curves on my legs are just awesome.
And watch out when I'm rockin' a pair of heels and a miniskirt.
My big legs don't make me feel like a freak of nature. They don't make me feel fat. They don't make me feel any less beautiful, or any less sexy. Rather they make me feel like a lioness, all muscle and sinew and raw power.
So ladies, don't hate your thighs. They're probably the strongest muscle you have! Love them! Use them to break some hearts! (Or some skulls, if you prefer.)0 -

This. Totally. I will never be a petite little wisp of a girl and my thighs/legs will always be on the voluptuous side but I'm learning that's ok and can still be attractive.
It's such a pain not to have a full length mirror at the moment

Thighs and butts are pretty awesome things on a woman. But what enhances those attributes even more than squats, lunges, and brazillian butt lifts are a woman's self confidence. People don't realize how what their feeling inside their head makes an impression on others. And if you don't feel it on the inside, fake it until you make it. Confidence (without arrogance) is one of the sexiest things a person can have.0
