  • I've only lost 10lbs so far BUT my elliptical and my food scale are the top things. It's SO nice to have a work out machine at home. You really have no excuses then.

    Invisalign- is that cheating? :)
Having to take them out to eat anything and drink anything that's not water then brush and floss has made me snack less and consider what I put in my mouth. Do I really want a bite of that if I have to take my invisalign out and brush my teeth for the 7th time today? Nope. It also made me stop drinking coffee because they have to be in 22 hours a day and I liked to have my giant 2 cup mug of sugary coffee and sip on it for hours at my desk. No more!

Other than that Insanity dvd's have been awesome! I love the workouts and they are really intense.

The right and good shoes for every exercise I do.

Zumba shoes don't mix with running or they'll be too stretched. My running shoes need more support than zumba. My trail running shoes need more grip and my hiking shoes are different too.

    Comfortable shoes!

I bought a really expensive high energy black lab puppy last June. She needs and demands a lot of daily exercise so I have no choice but to exercise. No excuses.

Another vote for the Fitbit. I really had no idea what my TDEE was before, and now I can track it and make sure I'm creating a persistent calorie deficit every day. All the difference in the world!

    Treadmill,
    Fitbit,
    Yellow Lab
    Shuffle and headphones
    Good shoes
    Wii Fit
The list is long because I have been at this a year now and I find new things to motivate me. I get a new gadget as a reward. Sometimes it is a DVD or new yoga pants.... But I love my fitbit, and miss it when I wash it. The dog reminds me everyday it's time to walk.
ON my wish list...... a bike, I think I am almost ready to try biking. Maybe some heavier weights. A food scale......

Food Scale, I think it was about $30.00 and it is wonderful. I also invested in correct footwear for running, the shoes weren't very expensive but my knees and shins love me again :)

I like the idea of the FitBit, was thinking of getting the Flex when it comes out. I might do that as a 20lbs lost goal. I don't have the space for exercise equipment beyond a yoga mat and some 2-5lb weights, but I would start with something small. Maybe make your elliptical your reward for reaching goal?

    Polar FT7. Hands down.

When I started seeing the actual numbers I burned, instead of just oh-I'm-sure-I-burned-that-off-on-that-walk, I started working much harder.
