There's nothing to trip us up on our weight loss this month. Halloween is the last day of the month. So, with that being said, it is time to vamp up the move-it minutes. With one month of totally awesome exercise, you will be one HOT HALLOWEEN DISPLAY.:smokin: That's the kind of candy I'm talkin' about.
Move it! Shake it! Jiggle it! Wiggle it! Bump it! Thump it!
The goals are:
1) 360 minutes of moving...it doesn't matter what kind you do or how you break it up
- or -
2) Burn 2500 to 3500 calories with a heart rate monitor
OK, who's in for Week #1
I am starting the Jillian Micheals 30 day slimdown program...I will supplement with elliptical to make up the difference
What's your plan? You gotta have one to make this happen.

Ok, September was a bust. I'll try it for October. Stresses are hopefully gone and I can focus on me again. Kim, I'm going to be doing the slimdown. I am following a group on here...I might alter it a bit as I think I want my day off to be a different day. I guess I could just insert a day off whenever. I am supposed to start on Thursday, Oct 1st.
Here's to an awesome Month of October!!!0 -

I haven't seen this thread before and I would love to join!
360 mins of exercise this week, ermmm, not sure I can fit that much in around work but I will give it a try!
Today I have done 50 mins zumba and brazil butt lift. That's a good start hopefully.0 -
Since people are posting their plans for the month - here's what I want to try out:
-2 days/week at the gym, 60 minutes per session. Both will be a mix of weights and something other than elliptical or treadmill - probably the rowing machine and stairmaster or something like that.
-4 days/week walking/jogging - average of 50-60 minutes per session
-I bowl on Sunday nights - 3 games - Even though it takes about 2 1/2 hours, I count it as 30 minutes of exercise, since I'm not actually bowling/standing/moving the whole time.
-1 "easy" day of just walking around my neighborhood - how ever much time I need to make my goal
Total: 360 minutes/week, 24 miles walking/jogging
(I may decrease the distance goal after this week - I'm not sure how feasible it is at my current jogging speed if i'm doing 2 non-walking/jogging days per week. Last week I hit 25 miles, but that's only because I walked/jogged EVERY day.)0 -
Monday: 5k run (35:00) + Yoga, hips & back (20:00) = 55:00
Tuesday: SWAT (50:00) + Yoga, breathing (20:00) =70:00
Wednesday: 5k run (35:00) + Yoga, breathing (20:00) = 55:00
Thursday: SWAT (50:00) + Yoga, hips & back (20:00) = 70:00
Friday: 5 mile run (60:00)
Saturday: 5 mile run (60:00)
Puts me at 370 for the week, hopefully I can use that to shave a few minutes off my longer runs!0 -
Monday:
Dog walking, 31 min/117 cals...still have to do Jillian Michaels Shred #10 -
