Do you have any tattoos?

I have a tribal scorpion design on my right shoulder blade (6 hours it took!) and my DOB in Roman numerals on my left arm.0

I have two, I have a 1/4 sleeve and one on my ankle, but wanting more.
I got them because I wanted my love for music to be engraved in my skin forever Something I am really passionate about.
Anyone that has tattoos will agree with me when I say they are addictive as hell...you can't just have one! I like the adrenaline of getting a tattoo too...partly why it makes it addictive I think!0 -
I have a bird that circles my navel.
And I have one big one that starts on my left shoulder and flows down & across my back, my right hip, curves around front, and goes down the side of my thigh. It's a peacock at the top and peacock feathers at the bottom and a lot of different vines, flowers, and animals in between.
I got them because they're pretty and I was just decorating my body. No big deep meanings here. I must be pretty shallow :laugh:0 -
I have four tattoos...
"Carpe Diem" on the back on my neck. It reminds me to live in the now.
My left shoulder blade has hibiscus flowers with stars and my daughter's name (Amelia Marie).
My right shoulder blade has a pitbull which is my favorite breed of dog.
And last tattoo which is my worst is on my right arm and it is my name with some pink stars/swirls around it. My name was done horribly but I love the stars/swirls around it.
My NEXT tattoo will be a Koi fish for luck.0 -
i have 1 on my shoulder.. it needs more adding to it yet. its in my pics.
i have a scar from a scarey op re the big C. I was sick of people asking why i had the scar and always wanted tattoos. so my kids sorted for me as a mothers day gift. It represents my love for my family unit. The tattoo will grow as my family does
It hurt like hell , i wouldnt recommend having a 3 hr sitting for your first tattoo lol0 -
The shop I go to just offered a Halloween special where you pay for a gift cert of $200 but actually get one worth $250! Aaaaaand tattoo number 9, here I come! I had $200 in my tattoo fund (my fiance gives me tattoo cash for holidays that involve gifts) but the one I want is going to be about $250 so I was waiting til my next holiday but now I get to make my appt! It will be several months before I can get it, but, yay anyway!!!
This is what my husband always wants for gifts! So, I oblige with paying for it and accompanying him!0 -
I don't... yet. Am considering but can't decide what or where... and I might be too much of a baby.
My ankle wasn't bad at all, my back wasn't too bad except for one spot, an my foot oh dear hell it was more painful than having kids! However, it only took all of ten minutes. There is a pain scale pic on google that helps you realize the different location pain levels.0 -

I got the back of my right ankle done awhile back (across the tendons) and it was the most painful for me! I actually cried and stopped within the first 5 minutes. What's worse is that it wasn't my first tattoo and it was being done at the shop that I worked at, so my coworkers were completely embarassed with my behavior haha.0 -

-
A ghecko is curled at my ankle bone.0

Yes.
A little cartoon devil on my right ankle. Regret it now. I got it done when I was 18. Stone cold sober too.
I wish I had got one somewhere a bit more discreet, not that I don't love people with tattoo's but you know...The looks! I got a devil because I always loved the little cute devil character & an aunt's friend got 1 when I was about 8 & I loved it. Nothing more significant behind it :frown:0 -
I didn't get a tattoo until I turned 26, then I finally thought of something I would want forever, I designed an anklet with charms on it that represent the most important people in my life. A lilac for my grandmother, a diamond for my mother, a princess crown for my daughter, a butterfly for my sister, and a four leaf clover for my late grandfather. Many tattoos combined into one relatively small one0

One.
Left forearm, a dragon resting on a large Celtic triskelle with a band of smaller triskelles. I didn't get it until I was 27. Everyone has that list of things they're going to do before they get married/have kids/settle down. I looked at my list when I got married, and I hadn't done a single one, the tattoo seemed like the easiest.
10 years later I've been itching for another, just can't decide what I want.0 -
I have a panther, Angel wings with a star of life, a frog-prince, an apple, a LARGE backpacking/mountain thigh piece, a half sleeve with mountains and snowflakes...I am working on an Alice in ONEderland themed one for when I reach goal...something along the lines of "Eat me, Drink me!"0
-
I don't have any yet but I'm thinking about getting a tibetan mantra on my inner forearm and adding to it to make it a sleeve later on0
-
I have one which is almost the whole left side of my back. It says proverbs 3:3 around a cherry blossom branch.0
-
how do you add a picture as a reply?0
-
I have three...all can be easily covered but each is very meaningful to me.
1st - I got in 2009 - two horseshoes linked together on the front of my right shoulder near my collarbone (grew up with horses but had a very rough childhood as far as family was concerned so they were always my escape). I chose the placement because I had actually torn all the muscle off my collarbone on that side in a riding accident when I was 13 (among many other injuries but at other times).
2nd - Feb 2012 - 3 stars, one for each of my sisters - across the top of my right thigh with a quote reading "Revel in the Chaos" through them. Goes with the rough childhood and learning to persevere when things are rough instead of trying to hide from it. Was with my youngest sister when this was done, she got a tattoo that was Latin but translated to "My sister is my hero" with my initials under it. She died 6 weeks later.
3rd - April 2012 - "life is a beautiful struggle - Haylie - 4/17/95-3/23/12" going down the left side of my back for my youngest sister after she was killed in a car accident.
I will likely never get another one, but if I were to. It would be a turtle with the shell being compromised of my grandpa's badge number, no idea on placement.0 -
Nevermind, I think I figured it out...here's mine, I just got it three weeks ago, my first and possibly only, it's my family name in Arabic.

6.. they remind me of the time i got them and what was happening in my life then; and the geisha on my arm is my favourite painting by an artist called audrey kawasaki. i want more, i also want to get into tattooing myself as im big on art and drawing and would love to learn how to do it on skin and have my work on people forever. In case you didnt notice, i adore tattoos0
-
I don't suppose you have a pic of the geisha one, do you? That sounds really nice, I'd love to see it!0
