Ok, some of us survived :drinker: the Thanksgiving holiday (Americans) and some of us didn't.:frown:

Where did the butterball land? So, we have to combat that with some time to Move it! Shake it! Jiggle it! Wiggle it! Bump it! Thump it! Stomp it! Womp it!!

Now, Christmas is coming and there's a santa suit that needs to be filled out. :noway: Do you want them coming to look for you to get that job done? The only suit I want to be wearing is a swimsuit from Victoria Secret.:smokin: So, it's time to get off the booty and make it happen.

What's your plan? You gotta have one to make this happen.

The goals are:

1) 360 minutes of moving...it doesn't matter what kind you do or how you break it up (you can wash walls, do videos, walk your neighbors dog, just get busy!!!)

- or -

2) Burn 2500 to 3500 calories with a heart rate monitor

OK, who's in for Week #1, starting on Monday...if at first you don't succeed, you keep trying...just keep coming back and reporting progress or non-progess...it doesn't matter...it keeps us accountable and that's how we commit to healthy lifestyles

teddyann, not sure what you mean by a tracker thing??? You can pick the challenge to be 360 minutes or 2500 to 3500 calories with a heart rate monitor...

Welcome, jmakowski (I was a military wife at one time), teddyann and eglass64 (nice burn for the week)

This sounds like a good challenge, but a HRM is not in the budget. So, how else can I keep track?

Any hints for someone who is going in for knee surgery? How do I NOT gain weight while I'm recovering?

  • nisijam5
    nisijam5 Posts: 9,964 Member
Chyrita, I check in everyday whether I do something or not...so, it looks like this

Monday, elliptical ## mins, ### cals

Mariediana, well, I would check with doc first...but, there is always swimming, chair exercises, modify anything that causes pain...maybe you could post a topic and get ideas from others....the point is to get off our duffs and move an hour a day
  • hey im in, not going to the gym til after work so ill reply at around 9 pm! :) and ill be doing the calories! move it everyone!

GOAL from last week was to burn 3500 calories!

Mon: 620 cal burned (44 min Leslie Sasone DVD)..............................2880 cal to go!
Tues: 472 cal burn (35 min LS DVD).......................................................2408 cal to go!
Wed: 502 cal burn (35 min LS DVD).......................................................1906 cal to go!
Thurs: 1200 plus cal burned (120 min plus cleaning) ....................... 706 cal to go!

So I did not make the challenge last week but I still tried and did OK for hectic schedule last week. I took a 3 day rest from exercise after cleaning marathon Thursday! I maintained my weight so I was very pleased.

This week I am going for 360 min again and hopefully I will get to the gym at least 2 to 3 times this week.

Awesome job Choco!:flowerforyou: Congrats to all who tried!!

We missed you Trenton! Good to have you back this month.

Welcome new ones I see joining us! I did not have time to read all the posts. I will check in tonight for today and this week.

    Have a good week peeps!!
