Put the frozen chicken pieces into your crockpot.
The cooking time will depend on how thick your pieces of chicken are, and if they are frozen or not.
I thought you weren't supposed to put frozen meat into a crock pot? I believe I read that both on MFP and on my Crock Pot instructions. I receive the largest ss Crock Pot brand one for Christmas and I defrosted 2 breasts in advance and cooked on low for 8.5 hours so then frozen would be like 15+ hours would it not?0 -
Would like the pamphlet as well, send to drkallner@yahoo.com. Thank you0

I would love a copy of the recipes. Busy life and need all the help I can get. anbegley@hotmail.com Thanks.
here is one my family loves
Southwestern Chicken
1 pkg frozen chicken breasts
1 can black beans (rinsed and drained)
2 cans kernel corn (undrained)
3/4 cup salsa--divided
Mix together beans, corn and 1/2 cup salsa. Place in bottom of crockpot. Place chicken on top of mix. Cover with remaining salsa . Cook on low 6-8 hours. Shred chicken and then mix all together. Serve with chips, in tacos or make a burrito with your favorite toppings.
Depending on how wet you like your chicken mix use more/less salsa. Enjoy!0 -

Most things I've found looking into this say it's all right so long as you cook the food for the appropriate time, and add a few extra hours just to make sure. But if you're cooking chicken it would generally come out to 10-12 hours, and 14-16 hours for a roast. But yes, it does take a bit longer.
But, you know, it may not be something you want to risk.0 -

I've used my crock pot with thawed chicken and with frozen chicken. It is fine both ways. We didn't have a problem.
Ok but not only does the machine but even the pamphlet one user was generously sending says don't use frozen meat so I'll stick with that rule. The one rule I don't follow is that it has to be ½ full. We are just cooking for 2 but yet have a serves 8 crock pot. It was a Christmas gift and my mother in law probably didn't notice the difference + bigger and more expensive is usually better, lol, I love her!0 -

You guys are setting yourselves up for a lot of junk mail and possibly other computer security problems by posting email addresses in a forum. It would be better and safer for you to just post them (edit: post the recipes) here. Or exchange your email addresses by personal messages.
There are automated programs that troll the internet forums searching for email addresses.

I have a great 24 page pamphlet of great recipes and tips when it comes to using your slow cooker that I received from my nutritionist a year or so ago. What is really nice about it, is she has included the nutrition facts for the recipes so you know how many servings there are and the contents of each serving!
If you would like me to send it to you, just give me an email address and I would gladly forward it.
Would you please send this to kt_2004@hotmail.com Thank you so much0 -
