I'm signed up for a Tough Mudder in exactly 78 days and I go from pumped to scared out of my wits pretty much every 5 minutes.

That's pretty much how I feel about my first half marathon in 58 days!

Glad I'm not the only one feeling this way! Good luck!

I'm getting talked into doing a sprint triathlon in July... At least the swimming is first so i won't down!

I would try a triathlon. Except for the swimming part. Can't swim worth a flip! I am looking into Duathlons though!

I did a triathlon this past summer that started with a kayak or canoe paddle instead of a swim. It was fun :)

Oh, I wish they'd do that around here! I'd be in for sure!

I burned a ton of calories this morning/afternoon and I ate a light lunch. For dinner I ate almost all my exercise calories back in Chicken Alfredo and Italian bread. Great job me.

if you almost ate it back then you are still in a defect. :) Even if you ate all of it back, it is still a wash.

Neither. I didn't have to clean it so...whatevs floats your wackado boat...

That last line made me laugh like an idiot! Thanks for that

So I wiped out on the treadmill today. Was in LA LA land, foot went up on the side rail. I stumbled, get launched out the back.

Fortunately, no injury. And no one saw.

I did this one time years ago. I had a little treadmill burn on my legs, though because I tried to hold on. I was at the gym where I instructed step aerobics at the time and a few people saw. Embarrassing!

People were asking "Are you OK? Are you OK?"

Yes, I'm fine. Please leave me alone so I can pretend that never happened!

I confess I once, in a moment of chocolate craving madness, ate some of my dog's specialised Doggy Chox Treats

Also I would have eaten more if they had tasted nice *blush*

They tasted like how I imagine a chocolate scented candle would taste...sort of waxy and synthetic

    I confess that I haven't actually tried eating a chocolate scented candle.....yet...
but when I do I probably wont log that either!

NB that's "When" I do not "If" :D

    AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH amazing.

I wish I could do that with my dog. He hates hills as much as I do, sometimes I have to pull him.

Today, I weighed line normal. Same as yesterday.

No way I was gonna let that fly. So I sat down and made myself poop.

    Weighed again... Down a pound.

Sure I was fifteen minutes late to work, but it was worth it.

Totes worth it. I mean, you have to know your TRUE weight!

Confession: My username is WillLift4Tats, but I've become a total cardio bunny lately. Once I lost my gym membership and access to heavy weights, those tiny free weights in the corner of our living room mock me with their uselessness.

I miss lifting heavy, but not lifting at all isn't helping anything either.

Uh why did you lose your gym membership?

Well canceled is a better term. Distance plus cost equaled not a good fit anymore. Sadly.

Today's confession: I'm nauseated like crazy but the peanut butter filled pretzels covered in chocolate in the break room are trying to convince me they are the cure. LIES!

I lied in my food diary yesterday. I said I had a chocolate chip cookie and a chocolate Reisen for dessert when I really didn't. I felt judged by MFP because of the stupid "low calorie warning" that popped up when I was done logging my food for the day so I added just enough calories to put me above 1200.

I do the same thing. It's very irritating getting that message.

i have a pair of skinny jeans that are just a tad too tight, but i like wearing them because they work like spanx and hold me in just enough to make me feel better about my thighs and eat less that day because eating much while wearing them makes me feel sick.

My confession is that my life/thoughts are consumed by food. I used to think about food and was eating all the time. I decided to do something about my weight and started this journey in January and have lost 30 pounds since. But, I am even more obsessed with food now and am worried that it is going to have a negative effect on my girls. They already ask, "Mom are you allowed to eat this?" with everything. They are 9 and 6 (both thin) and I am so worried I am going to give them an eating disorder, but I still can't stop obsessing.

You've lost 30 pounds since January of this year?? Wow! Even if it was last year, Kudos, that's awesome.

I obsess too, but 30 pounds in 1.5 months is way too much, please go see a doctor.

    Not judging... just worried.

I'm scared to go ride my bike again today. Actually, I'm not scared of riding, it's hopping on and off I'm scared of. I have bruises on both knees because I bark them on the frame while whacking an ankle on the peddle. I'm tempted to lower the seat so I can plant my feet flat when I stop, but I heard it will mess with my knees if I do that.

Actually, screw not looking like a total dork, I think I'll go buy myself some knee and shinpads next week.

Bahaha I just found the perfect Cracked article for this!:

Yes, this year, since January 5. To be fair, I am morbidly obese and lost 15 pounds in two weeks. It has slowed down a lot since then, but is still coming off.

    Ladybug-
My husband asks me the same thing. I always say YES, I can eat that. But I'm choosing not too. I would rather have ____________, but thank you for asking.

And losing 30 pounds in a month is not uncommon if the starting weight is high. At my highest, I was close to 300. In the first month, (this was when I was on Weight Watchers), I lost close to 25. It's not unhealty unless it keeps coming off really fast. Please make sure you are getting good foods with lost of vitamins, proteins, etc. That is very important.

Best wishes to you on your journey!

My embarrassing confession: A couple summers ago I signed up to do Mud Hero and was really excited for it. About 15 minutes in, my stomach started churning. I'm not sure if it was a flu bug, or food poisoning, but the rest of the run (walk) was agonizing. I had to keep stopping to rest because I was afraid something was going to come out, and I didn't know through which end. There were no bathrooms along the course and no way to get any privacy along the way, so I had to finish. I did make it through the showers after, and then had to bee-line for the portapotties. Let's just say that by the time I got there, I'm not sure it was just mud on my shorts anymore :\

I have never told anyone about the time I almost, possibly, probably **** my pants at Mud Hero :(

IMO, as long as you are telling your girls that your goal is to Get Healthy, make Healthier Choices, and Be More Active (and not put the emphasis on being THIN or losing weight), you are setting a much better example for them than if you were to continue down the previous path. If nothing else and you continue to feel like your issues with food are having negative impacts on them, maybe make an appointment with a Dietitian and/or Psychologist. It might be good for you to get to the root of your food issues anyway, plus you can learn ways to help your girls have a healthy body image.

Best of luck on your lifestyle changes :)
