*Non scale victory
And mine is yoga related. I have been doing a pose 'Legs up the wall" all summer and now my heels can touch during downward dog. Yoga classes started again on Mon. Not only did my friends comment on the smaller me, I had more flexible hamstrings.14 -
Was talking with a coworker when mid-sentence she stopped and said "yeah, you are really losing!" Because of the lack of context I had to ask what she meant
"You. Weight. I can see it so easily. You look great!"

I have lost 10kg since I started in Jan 2016 and over the last 9 months my husband has been quietly supportive, although there have been a few raised eyebrows when he would walk into the kitchen and I would be weighing every ingredient on my trusty kitchen scales and noting everything down before eating. Over the last few months, he has not been caring about his diet at all and has enjoyed a long summer of beer, crisps and burgers and has put on a few kilos.
Well, last night he asked me to show him how to sign up for "that MyFitnessPal thingy that you use because it obviously works!" This is such a small thing as he has commented on my body changing over the months but this is the first time he's validated how I am doing it, I was really pleased and will happily take that as an NSV!!!51 -
Gained the ability of self control. No longer am I bound to giving in. I can actually avoid pastries when I am very hungry. In the past, if I was hungry and in an Italian bakery, well let's just say you're not seeing me until 3 to 4 hours later.
For me gaining the self control to say no and prolong satisfaction was the key. Everything revolved around that. No food in mouth, no weight gained. Gaining self control is my NSV.35 -

I love your confidence and positivity. For me though, gained self control is not mine to keep forever and ever. I overeat and even binge a little on occasion still. Those episodes happen a lot less frequently, and my weight trend is definitely down, so I don't beat myself up when it happens. I don't wallow. I just keep going. I'm hoping that making a proud statement as you did above (and you deserve to be proud!) doesn't leave you feeling shame if your self control were to wonder off at some stressful point in the future.
Wishing you continued success!

Before, I would have gotten up and watched a few episodes of this or that or netflix while the kids watched cartoons. This morning, we went out for a jog in the stroller and listened to some music as we played with a ball in the living room.24

Got back from walking the dogs this morning and saw my muddy sneakers sitting by the back door. (Not that it ever rains here anymore, but I managed to do my c25k walk/run last night during the EXACT time the nearby park runs the sprinkler system. I'm gifted.) My sneakers made my house look like someone active lives here. Wait, someone active DOES live here!32

I was able to do a Sparrow (picture of the move below) on the trapeze yesterday with minimal spotting. The teacher kept her hand on my stomach to make sure I didn't fall off and face plant (fun fact: I almost did) but I kept adjusting myself until I found the right position to lift up and let go of my hands and balance there for like a second or two. It was my first try and it felt awesome!

Two things: 1.) I am back in belly dancing class and progressing fast. 2.) I did the first day of C25K last week and thought "oh, that was a minute, i thought i'd be running longer." on the first round. I struggled with the last three rounds, but I kept up and didn't stop running.24

You can do the C25K. When I did it the first time last year I struggled with the minute run but now that I've done it I am super proud of my accomplishment.13 -
i have 2 really small ones, the first is when i was doing my squats at the gym monday i heard my friend (who lets me use his gym for freeeee) tell another friend to watch my form and range of motion.
the second is good and bad. the bad is that i binge shopped online again. the good is that everything i bought is a size smaller and i had to think in my head if it would translate well for the next downsize (like is there a waist tie on the dress that can be cinched more)22 -
I'm a nurse and trying to start an IV on very overweight people can be difficult because typically, the arms and hands are puffier or more fleshy and hard to see veins (myself included). I have always looked at my hands and arms and thought, I don't see one place where I would attempt a stick. Yesterday I realized I can now see veins that would be a direct hit lol 55 lbs down53

I haven't had any junk food in almost a month. The craving for unhealthy food had completly disappeared28

The scale hasn't moved for a month, but last night we got home from a vacation that was packed with NSVs for me :-) My favourite: being able to finally fulfill a promise I made to myself ten years ago to wear a bikini out in public! Having tons of energy to swim, climb and walk as much as I wanted to was also fantastic.40
