Ohhh I sure would enjoy that NSV. When I was in labor I got poked 20+ times. They almost had to call someone from the emergency room when the person finally got it!6 -

That weight loss is about so much more than weight. It is about taking ownership of your life. I didn't realize there would be such a thing as a non-scale victories and that they would mean so much more than the number on the scale.41

I've been noticing a huge difference in how my body functions. I can indulge a little, for example, and see no change in the scale. Before, a little dessert would send the scale in a direction I didn't want it to go -- like, immediately. Or I can eat brunch and am not hungry until the end of the day or even the next day. These changes are things I NEVER remember experiencing before or would have thought were possible for me. It's like I am "normal," like something isn't out of whack any more. Hard to describe, but I am just starting to experience this ...32

TMI alert
That things "down there" would feel a little looser without all of that fat packed in against the general groin area.8 -

- how much confidence it will actually bring, especially when strangers start treating you like royalty all of a sudden!
- Sitting (particularly in baths) and laying (particularly in beds) will become ever increasingly uncomfortable.
- how vain you will become! I can't walk past a mirror without checking how I look nowadays!
Your turn!
I can live with that.1 -

Thank you for mentioning this!! I thought I was just weird...4 -
Nobody told me that my physical deformity from scoliosis would become much more visible and prominent when not hidden under 100 lbs of fat.
Oh well. I'll take the sloped shoulders and slightly weird ribcage over the weight.28 -

It is a very odd feeling; it took me a while to work out why it felt different1 -

No idea but I'm going to start with pelvic floor exercises - head off incontinence before it starts1 -

Practice "squeeze then sneeze" for optimal success.2 -

I remember finding a few new 'friends' who all of a sudden would talk to me, or notice me, or remember my name next time I visited their establishment when I had been going there for years or had mutual friends etc....
Some people obviously let vanity cloud their judgement.
Or maybe I just had a better attitude after and was more approachable?
Nah..I was always jolly
Yes! To be honest though, those that couldn't give me the time of day as a heavier person really are not worth my time. It shows to me their true character. Maybe that sounds mean and I should be more forgiving?
Curious what others thought are. What does one say to a friend that hits on you After losing the weight. Wasn't negative or mean or anything prior just wanted to wait...3 -

I keep seeing people post about weight lifting to help reduce this but don't have a clue as to how to start! I don't belong to a gym and doing all of my exercise in my house. What can someone like me do to start with weights or yoga (resistant) bands. The places I notice the most are in my arms and inside upper thighs. I don't have saggy skin on my neck, face or belly. Any suggestions?
Old post I know but I picked up the book you are your own gym. You don't need store bought weights or machines your body is the machine using body weight they also include lots of variations1 -
That you would take more selfies! You want to dress nicer by buying fashionable clothes. Overall you take care of your body better. Catching my reflections in the mirror amd liking what you see.16
-
Even when you buy the smaller size you check the tag repeatedly thinking it must be marked wrong.15
-
Smaller pants have smaller pockets. Makes sense, but it's super inconvenient sometimes.17
-
- That you will always be cold
- That you will actually care what you wear and that it fits nicely
- That your butt gets sore from sitting
- That you start to judge people for not trying to lose weight
- That you get tired of telling people that you're not sice
- That you can feel ashamed of what you weighed before
