Crazymom...hope the knee feels better, just know that rest is the best thing...also, the swimming was a good choice.
Mollie...hope you make your goals this week
I feel like week 5 is going to be a lot more challenging than I thought for the C25K...I think I will make it a 2 week project instead of one...I can barely finish the 5 minutes, let alone do 20 by the end of the week. But, I will get there. It might just take a little longer.0 -

It has been freakishly hot here. It doesn't make any since to be 85 degrees at 6 a.m. The afternoon temps were inthe triple digits. Needless to say when it is that hot, I can't do anything but stay in the air conditioner. Yesterday was a great day and today is suppose to be tolerable which is why I plan to get in 3 miles on my lunch today but the extreme heat is due back this weekend.
Have a fantastic day and an exciting weekend everyone!!!0 -

crazymom, can you do some yoga...stretches out the joints...do you take supplements like fish oil and glucosamines?
VJ, can you workout in the house?? Join a gym? Swim?0 -
Ahhhh, I've done nothing since Monday. I took off Tuesday which was probably an error on my part, but the rest is just recovering. I feel ok from giving blood, but I feel like the intensity of my workouts would not be good, so I've rested. While that is all good, I could be going for light walks with my fam or something. Hubby asked about a bike ride last night but I was getting a headache and voted no. I'll get back to it this weekend for sure. Just trying to nourish right now. Not sure I'll make the 360, but I will do something.0

[VJ, can you workout in the house?? Join a gym? Swim?
Yes and No. I enjoy working out in the early a.m. when everyone is asleep and I have the entire house to myself. The only problem - currently my dining room is the only place I can exercise - which is right above my daughter who is currently sleeping in the basement. I have three foster children who is occupying her large bedroom on the second floor. So that doesn't work. ;-(
In the evenings - get off work - pick up kids - cook dinner - feed kids - go to the park (weather permitting) - get clothes ready for next day ---- It is now 10 p.m. It's not always that late, but most nights it is.
Things are suppose to be getting better. Soon I should have my basement back. Before all the changes, I would wake up and exercise at 5 a.m. every morning - that way it was completed and I didn't have to worry about getting it in later in the day. I also felt fantastic throughout the day. I'm looking forward reestablishing that routine. - SOON!!0 -

Val,
Good job on getting it in despite LIFE challenges!! You plan B is great and better than doing nothing at all. Life goes on and we have to be versitale when they throw us loops and being positive helps us think outside the BOX to keep our own health an ME time in the forfront. You are rocking considering all this!! Keep up the good work! :flowerforyou:
I agree with you on getting it out the way in the mornings. That is the best for me too. I find too many excuses in the evenings and just be plan old tired too or stressed. I feel better all day too when I work out in the mornings.0
