Hello, I felt much better today. Someone left a Swiss Miss roll on their desk last night and said I could have it...I did not eat it I was doing a 10 day sugar detox and lost about 8 lbs-ish, then first 2 days back eating regular (healthy no junk) I gained 4 back and was pretty discouraged. However I stepped on the scale when I woke up and am down the 4 lbs. YAY!! This evening before work I downloaded a couple work out apps on my Kindle so we will see.1

Hi, I'm 40 turning 41 next weekend. New hee been counting calories for a few weeks down 4 lb 37lbs to go till normal bmi.3

I had a great run today outside. My longest ever at 4.88 miles (less warm up and cool down) I also bowled my best game ever saturday and got a strike, my first ever. Adding that to the NSV thread.3 -
I got some really exciting news today I am doing a weight loss challenge within the city and I won a Garmin Vivosmart HR! I hope it helps a lot and am super excited.6

At Tae Kwon Do last night, a college student who is really good with weapons was back on spring break. So, we got to learn nunchuck tricks. Not the greatest for calorie burn (didn't even record anything) but it was fun to do something different and challenging for hand-eye coordination.2

Glad I got a good training session in late last night since there was a call for snow. Well the weatherman was right, it's still snowing and we are expecting up to 12 inches. Most things are closed today. Whahhhh no gym today. I guess I have to resort to a YouTube work out video. Hope all of you are well. Have a great day.2

We're snowed in here too. I'll be riding the indoor bike trainer today on the enclosed porch. It'll start out chilly, but I'll warm up soon enough. And I'll get to watch the blizzard without having to be out in it!3

Insanity Max30 - Max out Power today. This is week 5, day 2. Strange workout, struggled to get my heart rate up as I cannot do the plyo pushups (and there are tons of variations of them!) so calorie burn seemed low compared to month 1. Still felt really tough though, even modifying the pushups. Hoping the plyo push ups will come right soon3

Have a friend coming to town for St. Patricks day. I have a feeling that I am going to work extra hard to recover from this weekend.2

Rowing (10km in about 50 minutes). Then assisted pull-ups, chin-ups, and dips; and incline push-ups.4

slacker day, or so I thought. Only 4000 steps because of lack of sleep last night. BUT... most of those steps were sprinting up and down my stairs. Everytime my watch would say I wasn't moving enough I'd do a set of 10 (or 8 at times). I don't feel SO bad for not working out today.2

Today was the first day in a while the sun was out and shining so my daughter and I went for a nice walk and talked. Then we did a workout that I had downloaded on my kindle. Good times, we laughed so hard4

Been super busy with long days of work the past couple of weeks. And the weather turned down here in FL too, so no paddling this week (hope to get one in tomorrow). I am pushing to get 700 minutes of exercise this week for a challenge and currently am at just over 450 minutes. Have to get the rest of the minutes done today and tomorrow as I'm traveling on Sunday. Shooting to get most of them in today.

13km on the rowing machine; just over an hour.
It was actually two pieces, 10.5km and 2.5km. At 9.5km, this guy tried to tell me I was over the time limit on the machine. I'd never been told there was a time limit, and there were two other (older) machines he could have used elsewhere in the fitness center. So I told him I'd be done shortly and I'd confer with the manager after to make sure I understood the rules properly. Then he came back at 10.5km and told me I couldn't "monopolize the machine all damn day!" So I stopped and got the manager. I was explaining the situation to her and he tried to talk over me, but I raised my voice and told him not to interrupt me. Confirmed: There was no time limit, and he can use the other machines. So I got back on and did my last 2.5km.
Old me would have gotten off and gone to the other older machines, just to keep the peace. New me will NOT be intimidated by some *kitten* who can't keep a civil tone.
Edit: It probably helped that I had about 6 inches and 40 lbs on him.9 -

Had a bumpy last month of training due to injury, then got stuck in Florida this week due to snow. Finally got a flight directly to Virginia Beach yesterday. Marathon is tomorrow morning. Forecast is for rain, 25mph winds and 40 degree temps. Running in honor of two late friends should give me the focus to help "suck it up" when I start feeling sorry for myself out on the course.
