Why would sitting and laying in baths become uncomfortable? I am alrrady uncomfortable doing that because getting up and down is hard and I don't fit right. I'd think.being able to just lounge in one with a bit if room would feel great.0 -

Believe me, it does. I hate having baths now as they are so uncomfortable, to a point of being painful. I think it's the "bones-against-hard-surfaces" syndrome. I used to love lounging in a bath. Now I get in, wash and get out. It probably takes me longer to run the bath than the time I spend in it. I lounge no more (which I suppose is good as it means more time for other things). I far prefer showering at the gym these days.
Sitting is uncomfortable for the same reasons but also because of bra straps being pushed in to muscle and a (now) thin layer of fat as opposed to the massive layer of fat I used to have. Lying in bed is a nightmare - my mattress is quite firm and even with an extra duvet between the bed and I, it's still uncomfortable.
When I moan about it, my children (who are normal weight) tell me that I'll get used to it . . .6 -

They basically brought in every model that fit my requirements & I ended up choosing one that I wouldn't have picked out for myself in a million years: Perfect Coverage, Body by Victoria. No padding, super comfy, great deal when on sale. Looked biiiig (in the cup) when they brought it in but when I tried it on it was a perfect fit. The older I get, the more I scrap everything else for comfort.

Thanks for the recommendation! I have never in my life been inside a Victoria's Secret - when I was bigger I always figured they'd never have anything that would fit me, and more recently I presumed they'd be way too expensive for my current (pretty much non-existent) budget. I may give them a look.@SueSueDio I am a HUGE fan of Panache bras (the Tango II in particular), and Berlei (for sports bras). They make my poor, sad breasts look awesome and super-sexy, and they're comfortable. I shop at herroom.com
I used to LOVE Panache when I was in the UK! And the Tango II happened to be my favourite! I loved the style and it always fit me well. I'm not sure how one would fit now that my shape has changed so much, but it's worth a try if I can find a store that carries them. Thanks for the reminder!3 -
That I would be called skinny, that people would tell me that I'm fading away on a daily basis, that people would express concern that I shouldn' t lose anymore weight ( I'm still 2lbs off healthy bmi) but most of all how bloody brilliant I feel being slimmer and healthier20

Something I never expected:
Because I feel better, know I look OK, and am confident in my body -- I am thrilled and grateful for those alone -- I find myself doing and trying things I just never even thought about doing before.
I wrote in another thread how earlier this week I took my first acting class. Last time I was in a play, I was 8 yrs old and 3rd Tree from the Left. I mean, c'mon, acting class?! I'm 47 ... and LOVING it.
I just never imagined how much fun I'd be having. I surprise myself with my level of fitness; I'm still getting used to being little; I still find it weird to have attention paid to me ... But, FUN -- it's just a different kind of life now.

I don't know if it is only an issue for larger chested women but I had noticed some pain in one of my nipples, and it lasted for at least a week. They both also looked unusual (swollen) but I just chalked it up to bodily changes (I have lost more than 1/2 of my body weight), potential TOM coming, etc. My kid is pushing 2 and I haven't breast fed/pumped in a good year plus and the supply has long dried up. In checking for a lump, mass, etc. a disgusting colored goo came out. I went to the GYN and he diagnosed it as cellulitis (although TBH there are other potential common infections for a woman my age that it could also be, but the treatment would be the same. Since my MD comes from Dr. Google or WebMD I am going to trust him on this). I asked how that could happen (I do practice good hygeine) and he told me that it was caused by the girls rubbing against my bras, which were obviously too big. My situation may be unusual/extreme but the too big bras in question were only 2 sizes off in the band and I believe one cup size. I didn't fill it out properly though and there was plenty of room for rubbing/chafing.
I hear you on the boobs disappearing. I went from a 48 G or H to a 34 long.
Enell is the best sports bra I have ever invested in. Since seeing on the Oprah show years ago, I stayed with them so if you're working out and have the rubbing or lack of support issue then try enell.com sports bras.9 -

I have to agree ! It's a lifestyle, so those days of eating a bit more will occur but the important thing is to get back at it without guilt or obsession about it, and to enjoy that extra food when it happens because it's part of life and it should be delicious to do it. That's the beauty when this is a lifestyle and not a short term thing.

In total, I've lost about 25 kilos. In this round, I'm down by ~8 so far. I love reading all those success stories and this thread is awesome, but for me, reality looks different:
- I never gained more energy and still hate moving / sports. (yeah, there might be the *one* type of sports that I like and enjoy, but I haven't found it yet. So I move only out of necessity and force myself to commute by bike, do a bit of bodyweight stuff and Yoga once per week. I know it's good for me, but I definitely don't like it.
- I'm hungry. Very often. Being only 1,55m (~5'1") means that I have a very low TDEE, which is frustrating, especially in combination with the prior point of hating sports. So my calorie goal is very low and therefore, the amount of food is pretty low.
- When you're short, a piece of cake or some other sweets / fast food usually replace at least one entire meal. My BF can have a Pizza for dinner after having a decent breakfast and lunch, while the pizza alone easily caps my daily budget.
- Being a stickler for rules actually helps to stay in budget most of the time, no matter how frustrating it is. Seeing the numbers on Garmin/MFP really makes me want to stick to them.
- Not working out makes me keep the same curvy figure even after -25 kilos. And it makes me keep the ~40% of body fat. So one day I'll probably end up being a skinny fat.
On the positive "different" side: I never had people treating me bad when I was fat or better now.16 -

^^This!! Oh my god, I'm the same, my TDEE is only about 1200 and I hate it. One single take away can mess with my entire weekly calorie goal (I only have take away once every six weeks or so) and the worst thing is the difference between my "half a lb a week weight loss" calories and my "maintenance" calories is negligible, so it's not like I can look forward to hitting my goal and getting an extra 200 calories a day. According to MFP, I only get an extra 50 once I hit my goal weight. I hate exercise too!!8 - I never gained more energy and still hate moving / sports. After you've changed your ways for a long time there will be times you eat unhealthy food and feel sick afterwards. Not an emotional sick, but physically not well. You will learn to enjoy these foods in much more reasonable amounts, because you'll still want them but you won't want to be sick for them.11

Here's a parable for those who have had "friends" become very negative as you've succeeded in your weight and fitness goals.
THE STORY OF THE CRAB BUCKET
One time a man was walking along the beach and say another man fishing in the surf with a bait bucket beside him. As he drew closer, he saw that the bait bucket had no lid and had live crabs inside.
"Why don't you cover your bait bucket so the crabs won't escape?", he said.
"You don't understand.", the man replied, "If there is one crab in the bucket it would surely crawl out very quickly. However, when there are many crabs in the bucket, if one tries to crawl up the side, the others grab hold of it and pull it back down so that it will share the same fate as the rest of them."
So it is with people. If one tries to do something different, get better grades, better jobs, improve themselves, escape their environment, or dream big dreams, other people will try to drag them back down to share their fate.
Moral of the story: Ignore the crabs. Charge ahead and do what is right for you. It may not be easy and you may not succeed as much as you like, but you will NEVER share the same fate as those never try.48 -

Sitting is uncomfortable for the same reasons
Sitting is horrid for me now sometimes. Hard wood chairs mean either my back or my tailbone or my butt are going to be jutting up against it with no "cushion". I really REALLY appreciate fluffy cushions now.7 -

I feel your pain ! My knees need a pillow when I'm sleeping because all I feel if I don't use it is bones.

FYI If you have Aldi stores near you, they have these great cushions with handles right now that are perfect for bleachers. I picked up a couple yesterday--my coccyx can't handle those bleachers at all.6

Oh oh I have another one! That there will always be that *one* high cal, unhealthy food you refuse to give up. For me, it's the Panera Bread California Avocado sandwich. 900+ calories but I will eat it like once a month or so. I mean...it does have vegetables. Lol.
Then I have to go on a hardcore swim to burn at least half of it off. Still worth it.14 -

I love my cheesecake and pizza and then am reshuffling my calories for the next day to make up for the calories of the previous pizza, cheesecake day to balance my week out. I've become good at it. My wife asks me my why I'm eating so little the next day and I tell her happily that i had my way the previous day and that I don't mind giving up one day of low calories because of my joy about the day before Lol. She used to give me this look in her face like I'm a fanatic or obsessing individual, and used to tell me " just eat the thing and don't become fanatical about calories ". Now she sees the wisdom of my working around about calories and how I still enjoy eating what I want while still losing fat weight and her comments have disappeared.
IT IS ALL ABOUT CALORIES PEOPLE! Master that and you can become creative in how you eat them not matter what food you consume, and you will still lose weight. I love it.
I also go to the gym and try to burn some of it if I have a physical goal in mind when in cutting weight. The body doesn't care how you eat your calories at any giving day as long as at the end of the week you still are at a deficit for the week. That I have found out.

Mosquitoes and other bugs seem to like me better . I believe it's due to a change in my body chemistry, probably because I'm eating differently. In the past bugs pretty much passed me by for my tastier friends. Now they're on me like white on rice. Plus, their bites freakin itch and hurt! Grrrrr....4

Postural hypotension. Rapid drop in blood pressure. As long as you're not fainting, it's annoying but not really a big health problem. I wear compression socks and increased my salt, that seems to help.11 -

Sun burns hurt way more with loose skin....
I cant lay sideways my belly is burned the loose skin sort of folds and its all burned it hurts lmao its not even a bad burn thank god its not a bad one...6 -
