I may have posted some photos in this thread in the past but I'm just finishing up this years cut with 2kg to go. The first pic was about 20 pounds down from my heaviest (235 maybe 215 here) and there were a couple of bulk and cut cycles between the second and middle picture. I weigh about the same in both middle and right pics (140-143lbs). I lifted from day one of losing the weight.
Hey lady, how long did it take you from 1st pic to the last pic? I'm trying to be patient and I see a lot of progress but its taking some time for sure.
Ugh it's so hard to be patient. It took three years from the first to the last pic. One year from pic 1 to 2 and two years from pic 2 to 3.8 -

starting weight is the pic with hubby at 217 lbs at 5 foot 6.5 inches. i am at 167 lbs now and have been for about 2-3 months. struggling to lose any more. i will be honest and say that i probably have not been tracking as closely as i need to but for the days when i assume i go over i make up for it the next day, exercise 6 days a week. what else can i change? i run 5-6 k in 30-40 minutes then do quick weights for another 30-40 minutes. i need a program or a trainer because its getting hard to stay motivated.
Oh Wow, you look awesome!!
I feel I can relate to your stats etc so you are my inspiration.
I originally started MFP a few years ago weighing 219lbs. I am now 196lbs and have been for around 3 years now, dropping and gaining 2-4lbs here and there but mainly maintaining.
I do a hell of a lot of cardio and eat smart the majority of the time but obviously have been partying a little to much to actually continue losing any more weight. I just love enjoying life and feel that I'm to the type of person to either gym OR party but I decided something needs to change.
I spoke with an instructor who is totally ripped but also eats what he wants and I am now on week 3 of
a programme he created for me with compound lifts. This mean the big bad 'Men' room' at the gym Anyway I bit the bullet, went in! So glad I did, why do they get to have all the fun!
So far I don't see too many changes, which I knew I wouldn't but I feel great and my body definitely feels different, perhaps like it's actually worked out!
Anyway I have taken before pictures when I started as advised by my instructor so will see how things so in the next couple of weeks. Fingers crossed.
Sorry for the bore but this thread just seems right up my street and has helped me focus more on what I want11 -
Hello, tons of winning here indeed!!! I post here to A) bump it and B ) keep it for some months in when I can post my own pics.
I've been lifting for a while now but only recently I started to check macros and tweaked something about my food as well, so let's see how that goes.10 -
Hey Guys
Not sure if this thread is still running but I just wanted to post my progression pics from my compound lift programme. I think I see a change but is it normal for it to be such a small change for 4 weeks?
I understand I need to be lifting for a while before I see major changes AND I need to rein in my weekends a little!!

I'm not sure if I have shared my results, but I'm pretty happy with myself this morning. I am 5'3 and 124 pounds. I still would like to drop more body fat, and I'm thinking I'd be happy around 118 pounds.

You're doing great. The changes come much slower than Google would have you believe! I remember seeing all these "12 week transformations" and feeling like a failure. I found this blog that lays out what to expect for results and it really helped me set my expectations:

Also, here is my four week progress pic.

Wow great job ladies!! Keep these posts coming - they're great inspiration!1

Love this thread! Haven't lifted in a while though. Finally got back to it after strengthening my hips and getting some inflammation down from my hips and neck. Then moved my weights to have a bit more room and injured my rotator cuff. But I still love to see everyone's progress!2

Wow ladies, looking incredible! I stopped (home) lifting in spring as I picked up wakeboarding again, but with autumn creeping in I am going back to weights... must remember to post an update. For me it's all about becoming stronger, no need to lose weight2
-
As you can tell from the bags under my eyes, it was a rough week lol.
Slowly making progress.28 -
@doughd2 do you only do crossfit or do you do weights in the weight room too? I've never looked into crossfit so I may be asking a dumb question with that. Do you focus heavy on upper body?I stick to crossfit and I started out "skinny fat." The one on the right was a few years ago before I started and the one on the left was a few months ago.
These two are just favorites that show the size I've gained. Yay muscles.

I'm in pink shorts.
First time I have had any sign of arm muscle.
I'm training for fight so more pics to come closer to the time.5 -

Here is my big hug to you. Great results. Btw you might want to look into this: while doing your cardio put some hot cream on your stomach and wrap it up with plastic wrap. The reason why our stomachs or for other girls hips are the bad parts is beacuse they have very bad blood circulation. Thats why if you touch it is always cold like an iceberg. But when warmed up the circulation gets better and our blood starting to use stored fat from this areas. Try it out.23 -

Thank you @middlehaitch !! It was difficult to tell as my measurements haven't increased much the last two evaluations, but my trainer did mention I had more definition. I needed to take a pictures to see for sure4
-
Oh so true about the pictures.
Gains are so tiny at times you can't see or measure them well, it is only by putting 2-3 pics side by side that the changes over time can be seen.
You are doing really well- your face is showing it too.
Cheers, h.3 -
I haven’t posted in awhile.
I have no idea what I weigh. The first pic is from
July when I leaned out for vacation. I’ve probably gained 10lbs since but have not been tracking weight and very little calorie tracking. Guessing I’m about 148 in the second two pics at 5’4”

@bbell1985 looking good with or without 10lbs.
It was cruel to post a pic of you in the beach though- I am desperate for my Caribbean holiday in March (love the bikini too).
Cheers, h.0 -
@bbell1985 You are proof that what the scale reads isn't necessarily important!
And @Hamsibian I agree with @middlehaitch that your improvements show in your face too. It's great to see that lovely smile!4 -
My weight has stayed the same or declined a lb but I still feel like my arms and back look bigger than before. Not sure but I certainly like how I look!! Weightlifting gave my fitness a whole new purpose.2
-
@SueSueDio thank you! Someone else mentioned my smile. I didn't even realize how much that also changed. You are so kind.
@bbell1985 you look fantastic, 10lbs gainn or not! And I'm jealous that you were at the beach. I have been dreaming of a beach vacation for the last 2 years lol.
@katadx it's wonderful you like the way you look and feel. That's more important than anything.1 -
There is a 10-12 lb difference in my photos. I did not intend to gain that weight but Summer parties & holidays, vacation got the better of me. I looked a bit fluffier after Summer because I wasn’t able to workout for the entire month of August. In Fall, I started back with a 3 day lifting program. I like how I look with the extra weight. It was nice having visible abs last Summer but I like having my bust back, more. Point is, lifting makes weight gain look better, IMO.
