Confession Time! ((ABSOLUTELY NO JUDGEMENT))

Eek about the explosion Mel! We had a plastics place go boom a couple of months ago near my work. Luckily no injuries, but it didn't half make us jump!
I am just outside the range of road closure. It's acrid smelling and there may be smaller explosions and fires through the night because you can't just stop a process like that. There are still shelter in place orders in place within a quarter mile, I think. It was half a mile before.0 -
Heavens to Betsy, it stinks outside. One minute it smells like a tanker truck of vinegar overturned and the next it smells like cigarette ashes. The vinegar is the better smell.
I am very grateful that no one was hurt when the plant exploded this morning and that nothing outside the plant was damaged. It could have been so much worse. The last time this happened, 16 people were killed. That was October 4, 1960. Weird....0 -

Important question: are they gluten free? I have celiac disease and will take this as a recommendation if they are.
I'm not sure if all of their flavors are GF, but the S'mores and SCP are. Now, I didn't like their Cookies and Cream, but you might.1 -

Thanks. I will look for these. And I am not a fan of cookies and cream in general, so I will pass.0 -

I've only ever seen them at Big Lots, for $1/bar. They are on Amazon, as well.0 -
Had my scan today and at 32 weeks baby is fine but already 5lbs and above the 90th percentile. Ah well, that's no big surprise to me!
I'm actually relieved because we had the consultant appointment afterwards and she agreed based on the large size and my own history a planned c-section is still the best option. Got the pre-op booked as well as the section. Suddenly it's feeling quite real and soon!
Anne Marie, that is fantastic! So glad it is all working out and can't wait to meet baby #2!0 -

Still at maintenance for the day, but ouch...
I have come to accept I do not know moderation... peanut butter, sauvignon blanc... all must be kept away from me at all times!2 -

Havent had Nutella since then. I can't control myself around it
Eh, we all have something like that. Mine is peanut butter. I don't like hazelnut so Nutella is not a problem for me.
Speaking of hazelnut, I put on a pink t-shirt and shorts yesterday after work and then stopped at my coffee shop (the one I have been going to since 2007, locally owned, everyone knows me). The barista on duty said "you look good in pink, why don't you wear it?" I said, "So my inner Mean Girl can ambush people, but it's Wednesday, so make me a Mean Girl latte." He made me a skim pumpkin spice latte with a pump of hazelnut, for bitterness. LOL.
Mel that is freaking hilarious!
Almost spit out my Diet Mountain Dew!
So, I should order another one today, even though I'm wearing a burnt orange shirt? LOL
ETA: I have a meeting with the VP for finance later. I really need to control my inner Mean Girl today.
Did you order one .
Sometimes it's so hard at work to not let your inner Mean Girl out. Especially when co-irkers grate on your last nerves. Usually I'm good, but once TOM comes around, watch out!
Stress and lack of sleep gets me. I get positively evil.2 -

Me either. I can't be bothered.1 -
I am looking at adopting 2-3 new cats from a local shelter I have been seeing on Facebook. A black one, an orange one and a calico. All older or 2 x adoptee rejects. Supposedly cat friendly. I know it will stress out PK, I think Cobweb will love it. I had been thinking of adding one after I lost Emilia, but with the loss of Portia the condo seems empty. But PK definitely still misses Portia. I just keep thinking I could give these senior cats a nice home... PK will eventually adapt, right?
I contacted the shelter, but getting there is very difficult with my current schedule...
I seem to love to invite additional stress into my life.3 -

I think it's wonderful you're considering adopting adult cats. Puppies and kittens are cute and popular, but there are many sweet, loving cats and dogs in shelter that would make great companions. Go for it!0 -
I confess that I was really judging people during stadium clean up. (ROTC helps pick up the trash in the bleachers after every home game.)
1) Don't bring in outside food. Support the other sports by buying at the concessions stands.
2) If you are going to bring in outside food, eat it. My son picked up a bag from a local fast food place that had a large bacon cheeseburger in it that hadn't been unwrapped.
3) you could have bought 2 24 oz waters in the concessions stand for what you paid for the coconut water that you brought in and drank less than half of it.
I spend a lot of time volunteering with poor and homeless people in this town. The wasted money and food make me angry because I know that they could have been helped.
Tl;DR: stop wasting food. There are people in this town who need it.6 -
I would bring in my own food sometimes because I'm fussy and cheap, especially if it was a place I didn't know. But I wouldn't waste it and I wouldn't litter! That makes me mad.1

I get similarly annoyed when a big music festival happens and people abandon tents. As if a tent is a disposable item! Luckily there are schemes in place where the scouts volunteer to help tidy up, and in return get to keep any useable tents. But sheesh people!2

I think Download Festival donate any usable tents to Shelter. The key word being 'usable' though.3 -
I cannot quite believe I've never been to Download. I would clearly love it! Leeds/Reading has become too poppy for me. Maybe we'll go in a couple of years when we've done looking after newborns. I'm not too old for metal yet!0

Spam, I've seen people taking small children to Download Festival. We once camped with a couple and their daughter. I think her daughter was about 6? It was a great educational experience for her. Her mum would point out drunk people and say "This is what happens when you drink too much." But she loved it, she loved Rob Zombie.3 -

I have to admit, I'm pro bring/sneak your own food in. Venue food and drink is just SO overpriced. A pint is about £5+. At the NFL nachos cost us £8! It's a good job the lady serving was holding them because I would have dropped them when she said that.1 -

Is that like the festival in Bridget Jones Baby? I don't think they have them like that is the states but I could be wrong, I'm not a concert goer.2 -

I went to a Pink Floyd show one year where the parents were bringing their under ten children. Nice to see with all the 'smoke' being passed about!0 -

I have never been, but I think Coachella is somewhat like that. I am sure there are some others. But I don't go to much more than the odd concert.0 -

if i eat something that will put me too far over my calorie goals, ill save it and add it to the next day.
i dont always log the diet sodas i drink. (but the reg calorie ones i do). dont ask me why, i dont know LOL
i dont sweat much. maybe that makes me weird. the small of my back is about the only place i sweat.
Lol, diet sodas (Diet Dr. Pepper really) are pretty much all I drink besides coffee. I don't log them either, I just figure what's the point? I honestly don't care about sodium, I just want to see my calories/carbs/protein/fats/fiber.0 -

Ugh at smelling like cigarette ashes! I think I'd rather smell the vinegar as well.
Glad no one was hurt.0 -

I sometimes would log my Diet Mountain Dew cans if I had multiple in a day.
I'm trying to go caffeine free again (mostly hate getting caffeine headache withdrawals when I run out).
So far it's been a week. I wish around my area we had the Diet Mountain Dew Caffeine Free sodas.0 -

Hmmmm, I haven't watched that. Basically it is camping in a field, with open-air Metal concerts all day for 3-5 days. Not recommended for girlygirls or people with ultra-hygiene issues. But amazing if you're not bothered and love Metal/Rock music.1 -
I've been binging for two weeks and just getting back on track today. Anyone who wants is cordially invited to just walk up to me and punch me in the face.
On the bright side, I might be getting a tattoo!0
