Morning all, Sorry I was not around this weekend...it has been unreal. I ran errands all day Friday, came down with a migraine and didn't get out of bed until Saturday late afternoon...then church yesterday...and trying to figure out what is with my headaches. I am thinking it might be stress, compiled with a bed that needs replaced..LOL
@hayleyb25 Morning! Yes small goals are what keep us moving to the ultimate goal..Great job Glad you are here with us!
@trooworld I am praying for your leg. I am glad it came back with no clots!!! You are always so positive in life. I appreciate that about you.
@TrishasTime We hit a cold spell here, I had frost on my windshield Sunday morning!! I am assuming if you're in the garden you finger is better? Hope so!!!
theslightedgeforever wanted me to let you know she won't have access to the boards for a bit, I think she will be back online on Wed.
I am slowly getting back to my normal...it's still a struggle, but I am moving forward.

Morning everyone
@trooworld Making time to do your nails every week vould be your reward. Giving your self some "me time" in abusy life is always a reward
@cbabie - Yes I hav have noticed you are getting alot of headaches. Do you think you hould get them checked out with the doctor? It may be what you are saying (stress) but it always better to be sure
@theslightedgeforever - Missing yu and wondered why you had not been here
@hayleyb25 _ hope your step has sprung as the clock turned to Monday.
I have taken the dogs out for a walk, sitting here eating brekkiw as I jump on the boards before I had off for a shower to go to work.
Happy Tuesday everyone

Morning all!
I have done the Leslie Simones twice this week...YEA. I didn't eat after 5 yesterday, so both are pluses for me!!
@TrishasTime glad you got the dogs out for the walk...They love you for that. LOL I will go to the Dr if they stay consistent. You know it could also be my glasses..
@trooworld I hope you don't over do it. You leg needs to heal. I am glad you want to get moving again, its a good thing, just take it slow..Are you using your water ap today? LOL theslightedgeforever (could she have a shorter name?) I am sure she misses us as well!! LOL
@hayleyb25 Hope all is well in your area!

Morning everyone
I am off to a Curves Gircuit gym tonight. Dogs missed out on their walk this morning
@trooworld _ Perhaps you could go onn for a short period and see how that feels tomorrow and then extend the time slowly. Would hate for you to take a step back
@cbabie - Yes it could be your glasses, but if you get the Dr to eliminate other things as well. Yes I wonder why the name - theslightedgeforever, I always love to hear the story behind the name
Hello to @hayelyb25 and @theslightedgeforever - hope all is well with you both
Trish0 -
Morning all,
I didn't do great about not eating after 6, I came home from worship practice was hungry..:( I ate Kettle Korn, hoping that would be enough, but ended eating a cup of ice cream...UHG...well back at it today!!
@trooworld glad to hear to are going to take the night off..rest sometimes in our lives is very much needed.
@TrishasTime I used to belong to Curves, loved it. Hope you had a good night there!!

Morning everyone
Just taken the puppies for a walk - clocked up 5624 steps before work. Will take a 15 min walk at lunch - need to get away from my desk
@trooworld - my weekend comes around quicker this week as tomorrow is a public holiday (Australia Day), my husband has to work thoughI have also taken Monday off from work so I get a 4 day break which is sorely needed. My work is pretty toxic at the moment
@cbabie - Everyone does that as long as you are back to it again.
Missing a few ladies here - hope they return soon. Have a great day

Hi! Sorry, had a busy few days in work so couldn't check in. I have moved into a new house just before Christmas, so this week I treated myself to a slow cooker, will be hunting for some delicious recipes!
@cbabie hope your headaches improve! I tie a scarf around my eyes, the pressure and darkness seem to help a bit.
@trooworld I think I missed a bit about your leg, maybe from before I joined, but I send good vibes your way for a quick recovery!
@TrishasTime what dogs do you have?0 -
Morning All!!!
Well I hit bottom again last night, didn't have time to eat before running out the door and when I got home, I was starving...ate a bowl of raisin bran and 1/2 bagel. However, it was NOT ice cream..LOL I am seeing my cycle that gets me into trouble, so working to correct the tide.
@TrishasTime I agree, that is a lot of steps in the morning!, but good for you and the puppies.I am sorry to hear work is toxic. I lived in that environment for a long time...I could handle it until personal life was the same...that's when I started eating my blues away...so the job is gone..and I am working on not eating for toxic.
@hayleyb25 I love moving, it's a way to declutter...When I was a senior in high school, my mom and I counted how many houses I had lived in..32 and I was 13 soon to be 14. LOL I don't move that often anymore. You will enjoy your slow cooker. One of the things I am wanting to try is overnight oatmeal...just sounds like heaven waking up to that smell.
@trooworld I am SO PROUD of you. You did it!!! My mom used to say, a 1/4 pound is a stick of butter.. I will take it!!! Congrats on the weight loss, it looks like the new WW is working for you!
theslightedgeforever should be back soon..
Cbabie0 -
Morning all
It is Australia Day - kinda like our 4th July. Fireworks going off etc around 8pm in the centre of the city and other spots around the suburbs. For me - it is a day away from work - yes!! This morning I am having morning tea as my GD turns 3 and my sisters birthday was last week.
@cbabie - Abetter choice, I agree. Perhaps you could keep some healthy snacks in your bag that you could eat on the way out so you do not get so hungry?? You seem to be a very busy lady so I can understand that time simply runs away
@Hayleyb25 - I used to have a slow cooker, but my husband absolutely detested it, so it went to my sister. I have an air fryer that I use now for time consuming things. I have 2 border collies
@trooworld - Well done - any loss is good. Congratulate yourself - cause you did it, no one else! I agree with cbabie - the new WW thing seems to be working for you - so very well done0 -
Afternoon all!
@TrishasTime I love the picture of your dogs, what cuties they are. Yes I usually have a protein bar or some nuts with Youngliving Wolfberries in them. But I did not. ugh.... So I will just tell the emergency that comes up they have to wait...LOL
@trooworld I pray your migraine does not come back..I HATE those things. Glad it knocked it so you started the day with out it.
I hope you all have a great rest of your Friday.
Cbabie0 -
HI everyone
I am pleased I recorded a nice loss this week, so I am pleased with that.
@trooworld - I just called them and they are waiting for something. My DH has already taken them to the beach thir morning. I know Aussie is known for "throw another shrimp on the barbie" but generally people just take a picnic if they are watching the skyworks on the river or if they enterain at home - it is normally a standard barbeque with steak, sausages etc, jump in the pool if they have one. Then there is another section like me whose DH has to work these sort of events and I just treat like a standard day. I am glad you had a little reliefe from your headaches, it seems your are battling everywhere at the moment (headaches, legs) - I hope something gives soon.
@cbabie - How did your eating go yesterday without emergencies?
Well it is Saturday here , so off to organise the shopping for the week, let GD drive me to her singing lesson (she has a learners permit). Steak and salad tonight whilst we watch the basketball.
Hope you all have a great day
Trish

Morning! I feel like I am on the right path, with some wrong turns, but I am going forward. I weighed and expected a gain, but was the same. I had a 2lb gain after that 3 day fast where I ate my self back to not being hungry, but that is now gone. So I am at the same weight prior to the fast. So I am happy about that. I did my walk..my stats say avg hr 131, cal burned 200...25 min Leslie Simones walk
@TrishasTime I didn't do so well because I had to fix dinner and no one wanted what I was fixing and I ate my comfort food. I was over in calories...but I have made up my mind that I matter and they would be hard up if they lost me. LOL I heard something today about headaches, not sleeping well...it was someone talking about their experiences and said oh my that Is me...and it was caused from her eating habits..so on a mission for myself. I am so glad you asked me, it keeps me accountable!! Congrats on your loss!!!
@trooworld glad you are feeling better, your plan to enjoy the warm sounds great!!!
cbabie0 -
Morning everyone
@trooworld - I am SO GLAD your headache did not come back - they can be so debilitating.
@cbabie - I am glad you are on a mssion for yourself, it is very hard to put ourselves first. Girls are not brought up that way. But remember if you are not happy, no one else will be either.
Today is Sunday, GD (16) goes back to school tomorrow after a 12 week break. She has not done much over that time with her friends, so I am taking her to a movie today "the greatest showman on earth" not one I would see normally but she is such a good kid (even though she has her 16 year old moods).
Take care everyone
Trish1 -
I’m not going to try to even catch up. Just jumping in where I am. My sister in law died last week. She got a cold and started running a fever for two days. Then she had trouble breathing and went to Urgent Care and died two hours later She had a heart valve problem that might have contributed to it. I don’t know. So I’ve been busy with family plus since we got back my mil is grieving hard and now she’s developed a cold and the family is freaking out over that because they don’t want a repeat of last week. I came home and was emotionally drained and just plain tired. I didn’t sleep well there We got home on Wednesday night and I’ve spent the last few days sitting alone and recuperating. I walked today finally. So I’m getting back to my routine.
Trishastime. Thanks for checking up on me how was the movi. congratulations on your loss
Cbabie. Glad you are putting yourself first. You know me I would let them fix their own food next time
Trooworld. Sounds like you haven’t been feeling well so I hope that’s gone. How is Freestyle going?https://youtu.be/3oKOoQW912I

I added the one I missed this week.1 -
Morning everyone
It is Monday here, but I used one of my leave days, so I had a 4 day weekend. I have taken the dogs for a walk and have clocked up 6159 steps. Off to the circuit gym later and then I need to take GD(16) to podiatrist for an ingrown toe nail.
@theslightedgeforever - I am so sorry to hear your news, I can not even imagine all the emotions that you must be feeling, espically when you MIL is now sick as well. I am glad you made some time for yourself when you returned.
@trooworld - I love people watching - imagining what they do and where they are from, you also overhear interesting titbits in a coffee shop. Glad you made some time for yourself and did your nails.
I hope you all have a trouble free day
Trish0 -
trooworld I missed you all too. That's wonderful that you have found a plan that works for you. I know my plan, I just need to do it. I gained 2.5 lbs this past week. I love sitting at coffee shops.
Trishastime I used to have problems with ingrown toenails. Very painful. I had a good day today with steps. 10000 I almost never get that many. I did a power walk with Leslie Sansone for 30 min and then just moving around the house.
I'm slowly getting back into a routine.0 -
Hello everyone. I am hoping this group gives me the encouragement that I need. I am getting married in March and I want to lose 15-20 pounds by then. According to my BMI, I am overweight, but doesn't matter if it said I was healthy, I'd still look in the mirror and want to lose weight. I am currently on Weight Watchers Freestyle since before Christmas and I haven't lost anything. This new Freestyle pretty much has over 200 zero point foods that you can eat as much as you want. It's not working for me AT ALL. I think I over eat those big time....I think counting EVERYTHING I eat calorie wise might be a better bet for me. I don't know, I'm so depressed about not being able to get this off. I do go to the gym 2-3 times a week and do cardio at least 5 times a week...but I can not get rid of the belly fat! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!1

Morning everyone
@devinpa - welcome, there are two member here on the freestyle program, I used to be a WW member and now I am doing it on my own with MFP.
@theslightedgeforever - Glad to see you are back on track - we will have to join out fitbits up together for encouragement. I tracked over 13000 steps yesterday - but the day before I only did 4000. At the moment up am up to 5000 steps -cause I took the dogs out.
@trooworld - Glad you spent some time for yourself. You do not get to do weekend visits every day, so I would say enjoy yourself, eat as healthy as you can and when you come home, step right back into mode. Life has a funny way of happening every day
I am out the door in a moment to go to work at 6.30am. I woke up this morning at 4.45am and it was still dark. First time I have noticed it. It was all nice and light by the time I got back at 5.30am
Hope you all have a lovely day

Hi everyone! I am also coming from WW as the program wasn’t working for me - the restrictiveness and weird points allotted to healthy foods was triggering binges and, well, feeling like a total failure!
I’ve been on MFP for a few days now and already feeling like this is a much more manageable program for me.

Hi guys,
I am getting on late tonight. I have been crazy busy. Sundays are hard for me to get on as I am usually at church starting at 7 and don't get home until about 12:30-1. I have been doing a little better with my eating. I didn't exercise Sunday and today. Yesterday was one of my granddaughters birthday. (19)....LOl we had to go out so people could sing to her...it's all about her!!!
@TrishasTime glad I always hated going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark. I hope you had a good day.
@trooworld Sorry I am here, just didn't make it on this morning!. I am glad you got to relax..you will do fine on your trip. I also say you know its not like you will be living there from now on, just don't binge, but enjoy.
@beebomb3 Welcome!!! So glad you found us. I did WW for a long time and got to lifetime, but still needed the accountability and friendships. So we started this group, I didn't like the connect thing. So come visit regularly, we like to get on here everyday and I don't always make it, but I do try. LOL Glad that MFP is working for you!!
@Devinpa Welcome!! I am so glad you joined us. We love the company. You can do this, you learned the core values at WW, just apply the tracking and accountability here. WW when I was there, taught good habits, but it is more than points, it is about health.
Okay gals, I hope you all had a great day.
Cbabie0 -
trooworld Maybe cbabie and I are the same person like clark kent and superman. lol Now you don't want to undo all your hard work and losses over this Colorado trip. Nor do you want to eat like rabbit and not enjoy yourself. Find the balance in the middle. Think portion control. If it's an unhealthy food, eat just half. Think of the free foods you can eat and incorporate those at restaurants. Chicken breasts, fish, fruits, veggies, and beans. Take some walks with your friend. Burn off the extra calories. Pick one meal a day to not worry about food but then the other two meals need to be OP. It can be done. Maybe a goal of maintaining your weight is realistic.
@Devinpa Welcome to the group. Maybe try measuring all your food and counting calories for awhile will work for you. I stopped WW because I'm prediabetic and the dr told me I need to count carbs. Now I'm trying to eat alot more like Freestyle. I want to count fiber grams though. I was on a losing streak this past summer but then things slowed and now have stopped and backed up. Part of the reason was I quit pretracking my food. That works so well what are you doing for cardio?.
trishastime Send me your fitbit i fo so I can add you. Good for you on all those steps.
@beebomb3 Welcome to the group. Finding the right program for ourselves is half the battle. The other half is actually following the program. So you have found a starting place here with us. Are you consistent in tracking your foods each day? I used to be so good at that and now this month I've only been halftracking. So back to it for me.
I need to get back to earning my stickers.

Morning all!
I felt so good about myself last night. I did not eat after 6:10!!! That's a win for me.
@trooworld I know you will have fun and you will enjoy your time off...
@theslightedgeforever which one is superman...LOL
Cbabie0 -
Morning all
@trooworld _ Snap - I did a 10 hour day yesterday, but did not finish up eating as healthy as you - I called in takeaway pizza
@theslightegdeforever - How is your MIL going?
@cbabie - I hope you had a nice time with your GD for her 19th.
@beebomb3 - you need to do what works for you- let us know how you go
Okay back at work again today - hope you all have a fabulous day
Trish0 -
Trishastime. I took my mil to the dr and we got her a chest X-ray. We will know results soon. Her blood oxygen levels were at 97%. Came home with a couple of inhalers and antibiotics. Hopefully she will get better soon
Cbabie. You know which one is Superman.
Trooworld. You look like you are making some new habits with food. Good for you
I did 30 min treadmill and stayed within calories
Plus I got a sticker. Onto tomorrow0 -
Good Morning All: I'M BACK!!!
Haven't posted here for a very long time. Can't even remember the last time actually. A few life challenges in the past few months. My DFIL passed away last September so DH and I have been busy settling his affairs. Happy to say the house is sold, most of his paperwork has been completed with the exception of his income tax for 2017 but we will leave that up to our accountant. Now its just making sure DMIL is properly cared for in the Nursing Home where she resides and has done so for the past 9 years. She suffers from advanced Alzheimer's. According to her medical charts, the only thing she can do unassisted is, BREATHE!! How very sad for her and us actually. Only good thing about this dreadful disease is she never has to mourn the death of her husband.
Anyway, I am back on track and need to be. A few pounds gained back over Christmas etc but I will get r done now that things are somewhat back to normal around here. Normal??? I think that's a good thing!! LOL
Thanks for "listening" and we'll "talk" soon.
Carol0 -
Trooworld. Crapshoot. Lol. I agree 100%. That’s why I think we should think process over progress. We do everything right one week and we still don’t lose so we give up our good habits the next week and say why bother. Had we kept to the process we might have been rewarded with a nice huge loss the second week Losses are much more motivating than gains
Cmedwards. Welcome back. Sorry to hear about your fil. My sil passed almost 10 days ago suddenly. My mil has Alzheimer’s but she’s still with it at times and knows her daughter is gone. So I’m glad your mil was spared that grief. So time to get back to our healthy habits. My exercise habit is getting better. Now onto the food.
I lifted weights today. Haven’t done that for a long time. Trying to get back in the swing of things0 -
Wow guys, I thought I posted yesterday, but I see that I didn't. I am so focused on getting my routine back, that I guess I messed this one up. I ate last night when I got home from church, but it wasn't ice cream..LOL I am in the process of fixing 2 boiled eggs. I am trying to watch my carbs, much better than I have. It's all about the tracking and preparing. I have found that If I don't plan my food I fail..
@cmedwards52 Welcome back, I am so sorry for your loss. This is when my dad was in the hospital last year. It's a healing process that can't be quickened. But we do heal. I am glad you are back, keep posting and use us as your sounding board, encouragement, laughter, sanity..LOL
@trooworld congratulations on the LOSS!!!..you are on a roll! So happy for you.
@theslightedgeforever were there 2 supermans?LOL
@TrishasTime We had a good dinner and some laughter...my DH is a child actor when he goes out in public..LOL He acts like a 5 year old instead of a 62 year old.
okay guys have a great day
Cbabie0 -
Good Morning
Thank you all for the kind words. We are feeling better. Dad was fighting melanoma for most of 2017 with several surgeries, chemo, radiation etc. In September the cancer invaded his lungs and he passed away on the 21st of that month. On the bright side he was 92 years old and until just 10 days before he passed away, was still living on his own in his own home and still driving his car. As my husband says, "Dad had 92 great years and 2 crappy weeks." That's what we need to focus on. Although we miss him dearly, we have to remember, he really did have a very good life and if we should all be that fortunate, hurray!!
Have a great day and again, THANK YOU!!
Carol0 -
Trooworld. Hooray on another lb. just keep doing what you are doing.
Cbabie. Come on you know I’m the fun one. Superman was definitely more fun Glad to see you are focused on YOU. That’s progress.
Cmedwards. I loved your husbands motto about his dad. Cancer still sucks and is my biggest fear. Oh just realized I’ve kind of crossed that bridge A couple of months ago I was diagnosed with Basal cell on my nose and had a small surgery. I’m talking about the big- C
I walked 30 min on treadmill I would have been OP but forgot to track a bag of kettle corn. I did meet my step goal0
