Its one thing not to get notifications because no one tags you, I get that, but I hate to not get notifications on the rare occasion that I am tagged. Then I notice it 2 or 3 days later and feel like an azz because I didn't respond.

The difference between looking at the stars and looking at the sun is like the difference between listening to a choir and having someone scream directly into your ear.

Because it clearly helps you think (I do the same).

Just like I can't listen to music while reading. It's a distraction and breaks the focus.

If every high school/college student took a one year long practical course where they work one semester in retail and one semester in food service, there would be far less rude customers.

Science has figured it out a long time ago.

And as Cornell University reports, a wildlife biologist once measured the inside volume of a typical woodchuck burrow. From this, they estimated that, if wood filled the hole instead of dirt “the industrious animal would have chucked about 700 pounds' worth.”

Edit: Also this question has been asked a lot here and in some other threads.

Kids endlessly asking "why" are actually applying the socratic method and stimulate adults to think critically.

If an adult asks why, does it have the same effect?

In order to fall asleep you have to pretend to be asleep.
