RV Rita in hot, windy, and boring New Mexico desert4
-
Spent last evening, this morning, and this evening doing a major house cleaning.
The day of my husband's accident, I came home and cleaned till about 2 am. It's my way of working out frustration and anxiety. But since then, I have kind of let things go ... 7.5 weeks.
There were things walking around in the fridge ... new life forms that scientists would have probably liked to have a look at. And the counter was piling up and piling up. Plus I hadn't touched most of my husband's stuff ... just left it all where it lay.
So I was planning to run today, but it was still wet and drizzly from this rain system. So I got a quick walk in, and then spent much of the day on my feet cleaning. Plus, of course, going and visiting my husband which requires walking.

Went for a 2.5 mile walk in the heat and wind. Wind made it tolerable adding resistance. I feel so much better emotionally! Physically tired, but a good tired!

He believes that there is nothing we can do to ensure our home survives a forest fire so we should do absolutely nothing. I think that while it's likely our doublewide would be on the "can't save" list, we could improve its chances by installing a metal roof, limbing up trees and clearing brush to the edges of our little knoll.
Wildfires are a fact of life where I live. Thing is, firemen don't even attempt to save a house if the owner has not done abatement. If there's abatement, they can give it a go.2 -
Barbara, the Southern Oregon Coastie AHMOD., Oh also I remember my momma covered me with head to toe in Calamine lotion!

Michele in NC - In the holes; preferably when the bee is inside; but, hear that it keeps them from coming back. Not sure if they die if they try to go inside; bit the season is short (at least down here in SW GA.

Slept for two hours this afternoon on the sofa. Woke up feeling hot, but it's calmed down a bit now. I ate dinner and tried a new AF white wine which is also low calorie. Not at all bad. And cheap.
Just going to have to wait this thing out. Hope it doesn't take too long - I'm meant to be going for an hour's run and pub lunch with a friend on Monday. Right now that's not happening.
I did manage to pull some weeds out of the patio before I fell asleep. Looks much better now.

Afternoon my friends!
Hot, hot and hot here today. Spent most of today running errands. A big one was at Lowe's picking out a washer/dryer set for the new house. Hubs then took me to Outback for Mother's Day early dinner. Almost had the place to ourselves and it was really nice. He also got me a new Amazon Fire 10 tablet.
Hope all you mom's have a wonderful Mother's Day!

Admiral goals. I'm working on 30-40-30 macros. However, I'm ever so proud that I've kept my carbs below 90 grams for over a week. Good luck!

It's finally warm enough for me to switch from wool to cotton socks and wear a t shirt instead of a sweatshirt. I went for my usual early walk with the dogs, then walked with a friend after breakfast. Later I spent time outside pulling weeds and spreading bark. Now we're relaxing in the air conditioned house watching baseball on TV. So far I have over 22,000 steps logged on my pedometer.
