01/13 245.8 - not sure what happened here as I ate within my calories. I’m sure it must be water weight or something but onwards and upwards (or downwards!) Going to start my couch to 5k today so will see what happens.

01/14 245 - went for my first run well jog /walk and I was exhausted. I feel so much better now I’m exercising. Food wise I was on track and really trying to whole foods only with no added things.

01/15 243.6 - nutrition was on point yesterday. I’ve really noticed how sweet natural food is tasting. I did roast veg yesterday and the onions were like candy! Who would have thought it. Love them. Of for my second run/jog later and actually looking forward to it!

01/16 242.8 - that's 13.6 lbs in 2 weeks! I am super happy and can't wait to see what happens next. I also did my second day of couch to 5 k and managed to run/walk my way around 3k. Eating was on track and my jeans are even starting to feel loose.

01/17 241.2 - wow how did that happen! Smashed through the first stone. Have loads more energy and also got super motivated by all the before and after pictures. Everyone is so motivating and positive on here.

01/18 241.2 to be honest I’m happy it just hasn’t moved usually after a big loss I go up. Not this time! I did my 3rd day of couch to 5k and beat my time the day before (they are exactly the same). I never realised i could like exercise and thought running was a big no but I LOVE the sense of freedom. Food was a bit all over the place yesterday but still stayed within my calories so happy overall. Good luck weighing in everyone!

11/01: 166.7: Goals ✅ Went to a health seminar at our local state of the art leisure centre this afternoon. They had a draw for ten x 10hr Boditrax courses at a 90% reduction (£30 instead of £300), and I won one of them. We get 10 weeks temporary membership at the centre, a Boditrax health/fitness analysis at the beginning, 10 x 1hr sessions with a personal coach, and another analysis at the end to see how we have done. It's just what I need to make the final,push to my Ideal goal weight.
12/01: 166.5: Goals One more lb of Xmas excess to discard. Out most of today with my DYD. It will keep me away from temptation.

13/12: 166.4: Goals ✅ Stayed on track. NSV: Visited with DED and she had had baclava. I had two pieces, but declined any of the other goodies. Was under basic calories for the day! I normally eat back a lot of my exercise calories when we visit with them, as she and DYGS bake for our visit each week.
14/12: 166.4: Goals 😃 Delighted to have maintained over the weekend. ✅ Got my workout in early, and walked over 11,000 steps. Also had a decent deficit, food wise.
15/12: 166.2: Goals ✅ No time to do HIIT today. Had a few chocolates when at my crochet group, but still under goal.
16/12: 166.1: Goals ✅ Grocery shopping today, so lots of fresh fruit/veg for the days ahead.
17/12: 165.9: Goals Meh!!! I did really well right up until it was almost bedtime, then started snacking my way through my deficit. Stopped short of going over, which I wouldn't have done in the past, but Pringles and crackers were not my finest choices. I'm, frankly, amazed that I haven't retained more water with all that sodium. Still, just one bad day since New Year is an NSV, and a definite improvement on my track record. At least I have 5 days left to reach my round EW.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.

REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.

Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

01/13 11st 8.0lb No change today, but slightly earlier weigh in. Looking for similar loss this round if possible.
01/14 11st 8.2lb Later weigh in, not that it's done me any favours. Had less than allowed MFP calories yesterday. I was going to go for a walk today but the weather looks miserable outside. I really need to reset my bedtime and getting up time so that I start having normal days again.
01/15 11st 8.2lb No change to weight. I went to bed 3 hours earlier than yesterday, but it didn't help that much as I couldn't sleep for ages even though I'd fallen asleep on the sofa for an hour before I went to bed. Was restless much of the night. Despite coming in at less calories again and actually getting out yesterday for the walk I still haven't had a loss. Disappointed.
01/16 11st 8.2lb Still no change. I ate slightly under calories again - my trend weight is not looking good at all.
01/17 11st 7.6lb Finally a 0.5lb loss which takes me just 0.2lb lower than I was 10 days ago. Oh well, no one said this was going to be easy! I'd like to be at least 1.5lb lower this round.

01/18 11st 7.4lb Earlier weigh in than usual so I'm happy with a 0.2lb loss. Hoping to keep to this earlier weigh in as I'd only be fooling myself if I waited another couple of hours, and besides, I want my breakfast!

01/13- 220.6- Been doing well with moderating my alcohol intake for the last week and monitoring food. Also I have been making an effort to stay fairly active. Today I am aiming to not snack and to get a long walk in later with the dog. Good luck everybody X

01/14- 220.0- A good day yesterday, been out walking for 2 hours this morning though because I was pushing a buggy the Fitbit didn't log all the steps. It's a low calorie day today, feeling very in control at the moment X

01/15- 221.0- yesterday was very successful, 15,000steps and stuck to my calorie goals, hopefully the scales will show the drop tomorrow. Today I am aiming to stay under 1500cals, not many steps but il make up for it tomorrow x

01/16- 219.4- Yesterday I ended on about 1900cals which is 400cal more than what I was aiming for, I stayed up too late and then snacked when I really should have gone to bed. Today is a low calorie day, plenty of walking, just done a food shop so I'm set up for success for the next week X

01/17- 219.0- Going in the right direction, I smashed through yesterday's goals and when I got tired I actually went to bed instead of grabbing the nearest sugary snack. Today I would like to stay under 1500cals and get some housework done. It's chilly outside but I will be focusing again on steps tomorrow X

01/18- 218.2- I stayed under my calorie goal yesterday, I feel like I made good use of those calories aswel. Today is a fast day, I will be getting my steps in nice and early X

Into it properly this round! Went swimming today and they were running a free NHS health check. Blood pressure, LDL, HDL and total cholesterol and my blood sugars were all well within the "excellent" range and they gave me a heart age of 40 and a less than 1% risk of a heart attack in the next 10 years so I was very happy with the results. Only thing I hit amber on was my BMI which I knew and it annoyed me being the only marker not in green! So feeling fired up to get it back into the green. Also booked our summer holiday this week so a bit more motivation there!

R65 goal - will be happy with 1.50lb a round - so 153.40lb is my target...

01/12 - 154.90
01/13 - 153.60 - down 1.3lb - just from having a proper controlled day and a bit of exercise (swimming yesterday - about 40 minutes) - Sunday today so a bigger dinner (albeit within calories) but all good so far

01/14 - 152.10lb down 1.50lb. Can't remember the last time I had a loss over a weekend so happy about that! Onwards and downwards..... Exceeded my round goal already so now aiming to just keep losing - difficult to set targets when only just back into it properly as losses are normally accelerated so as long as the weight keeps coming off then its all good. Good day planned today, dinner already in the slow cooker - Love the feeling of being back in control

01/15 - 151.30 down 0.8lb so -3.6lb this round so far. I know this can't carry on at this rate but certainly a great boost to start me off. My day is planned food wise so I'm happy

Still have my end of round goal as to lose a bit more and keep heading down!

01/16 - 151.20 down 0.1lb - a tiny drop today. Not unexpected that it will start to slow. But I know I was on plan yesterday but did have more carbs in my dinner last night than I would do normally (and feeling bloated today as a result!) so possibly just due to that. All good though

01/17 - 151.80 up 0.6lb ????? no idea, not as a result of my calorie intake so not worried. Guess my body adjusting to the pretty large weight loss over the last week... Watch this space as they say

01/18 - 150.80 down 1.0lb since yesterday and back to an overall drop - not sure what the last few days was about but hey ho! Goes to show how peoples weight can vary daily even when "being good" . Lost 4.1lb this round so far so very happy and with the weekend approaching if I finish on this on Tuesday I'll be happy - lose a bit more I'll be even happier! Nothing out the ordinary this weekend so no reason not to stay totally on track although need to ensure I drink enough as that's my usual weekend downfall

@Fightingthefat2019 C25K is great. I did it last year and really enjoyed it. I had to repeat a couple of weeks because I wasn't ready to move on so it took closer to 12 weeks. Now I use the Nike+ running app as the programme is more varied. Congratulations on starting and finishing the 1st week.

1/13 168.6 (hope this new back injury from work --I think flare up from the old work back injuries-- I don't know-- doesn't cause fluid weight AND slow me down!!! No stress eating allowed..I DO have a positive, hopeful attitude to get this weight loss done!!
1/14 167.8 doing tumeric, lemon, a/b 800 mg sodium for my back--happy weight still decreased in spite of injury-stuck to calories yesterday--getting back to where I ended last round. One meal at end of round #64 and was outside calories and sodium. I knew it would take a few days to come back down. I wish you could pay ahead-then have the meal, ha ha. I may not do that after this round or be within calories at least. Depends if I meet my goal at the end I think.
1/15 167.8 back improving, but I can see that I am retaining water. Will be patient and keep doing the right things. You all inspire me!
1/16 167.6 had to eat majority of calories late in day.ate some junk.Still in range! water11 cups.
1/17 167.6 candy called my name and I accepted it last night. well need to stay away from cvs when feeling vulnerable. There is always junk on sale there I went in to get a pack of almonds, ha ha.Boy.I threw out the rest of candy this am down the sink. That is a victory that it lasted until this am and then I threw it. Thanks for inspiring me to do so!
1/18 forgot to weigh. started with berries right away and Meyer's lemon in my green tea. will be away for a few days. birthday time. I went down a pound this time. It is good. I will be reading progress here still.

1/14=191.7 Oh No not another plateau! I hope to get over this multiple day weight. Calories under,water& exercise good.
We also have snow & that is ok but the temps are too low(20's).This is normal western Pa.weather. We have been spoiled so far,so no complaing from me,at least not yet.
1/15=190.6 OK. More like I had hope&worked for
1/16=190.3 good day yesterday,today should good as well bc 3 water classes.So much fun &always a good calorie burner.
1/17=190.1 better get to Y today bc 2 winter storms approach.today is Bone broth day which usually helps the loss.If you haven't read &/or made bone broth please do,does sound kinda yucky but it is really tasty & nutritious.)long&tedious but worth it.I use the rotisserie chicken after using the meat the previous day. Give it a try.
1/18=189.5 Got the steps in yesterday(day 22) I want to make a month,looks like it may happen thanks to bike & water aerobics..Who knew I could,If we get the snow I will be forced to stay home & then it becomes hard...My walking has improved bc of morning walks with L.S. ‪01/13 - 203.7‬ (5839 steps) – Today is my 1st full day here in this challenge. Didn’t make it to the barn to ride yesterday. We got lots of snow. Zero structure to my day. Could have been a potential problem. I had 2 meals still leftover from last week’s meal prep so, I used those for lunch/dinner. Rode the recumbent bike in the living room for a total of 50 mins (10.05 miles). Still allowed myself room to have a pint of Halo Top.

‪01/14 – 204.8‬ (6813 steps) – Sundays are the laziest day of my week. This was no different. We got 3” of snow and I did NOT want to leave the house. I slept in late and was a couch potato. I stayed in the green with my calories and even did 37 mins (7.77 miles) on the bike. I was able to meal prep lunch/dinner for the work week. Hopefully leaving on Friday for weekend in KY with my Mom.

‪01/15 – 203.5‬ (7480 steps) – I ate all 3 of my meals at work yesterday seeing as I had to work a 10 hour day. It felt better to have dinner consumed BEFORE I got on the road for my hour drive home, plus 2 errands to run in the middle. I wasn’t tempted for a quick drive-by dinner or crappy quick meal when I got home (at 7:30pm). Win! I squeezed in 33 mins on the bike (6.9 miles) before hitting the sack. All in all it was a good day.

‪01/16 – 203.5‬ (6788 steps) – Successful food planning at work yesterday, despite the stress & chaos. Logged all 3 of my meals before I even ate them. No cravings when I got home. No mindless snacking. Rode the bike while watching NCAA basketball (45 mins – 9.61 miles). This weekend is going to be tough. Going out of town to my Aunt/Uncle’s house in KY and just found out there was a death in my Aunt’s family today so, there will be LOTS of company and food while we are there. This will be my first “test” since starting over.

‪01/17 – 203.3‬ (7084 steps) – Yesterday was a very long and stressful day at work. It wasn’t until after 8pm last night that I was able to write my comments. I didn’t snack or over eat. I stuck to my plan and ate the meals that I had prepped for work. 40 minutes on the bike (8.58 miles), some reading & visiting with my parents, then off to bed. Off to KY tomorrow morning. Not sure I’ll get to do a full update or weigh-in but I’ll be stopping by to read everyone’s posts.

01/18 - 200.6 (4626 steps) Almost to Onederland!! Had a long day yesterday between work and a 2-hour meeting after work. Had zero ambition to do any exercise. Did a small amount of snacking but stayed under my calorie goal. Winter storm coming but we are headed to KY here in a couple hours. True test time!

Pre challenge weight loss: -12 lbs.
Challenge weight loss R40 – R64: -29 lbs

My tax season starts this round which means I'll be working weekends and roughly 12 hours a day. Clients bring us goodies and the owner of the CPA firm often buys us lunch and dinner. I'm going to use this round to figure out exactly how to maintain my weight while being tempted by donuts, cookies, pizza, etc. It's almost as bad as the holidays!

01/13 - 144 - I'm very surprised! Due to my sodium yesterday and today, I'll bet it goes up tomorrow, but I'm very happy today. I've also got my lunch and healthy snacks packed for tomorrow.
01/14 - 146 - Here's the sodium! I'll be drinking plenty of water today.
01/15 - 147 - Wow, I did not want to post this, but facing this is what has kept me on track the last 8 months. My daughter stopped by last night so I had an extra glass of wine with her and I ate leftovers from Sunday for dinner, which did not help with my water weight. I have supper plans with my my golf league tonight at an Italian restaurant, so tomorrow is probably not going to be any better. But, it is my last night out with the ladies until tax season is over in April, so I'm going to go and enjoy myself. I'll just have to work really hard this next week to get my weight back down.
01/16 - 146.5 - I had a great time last night and managed to stay just under maintenance calories for the day.
01/17 - 145.5 - I slept well last night and got plenty of water yesterday.
01/18 - 145.5 - I did not sleep well last night. We've got a winter storm hitting my area tomorrow and my car started flashing a check engine light along with traction control failure lights on the way home last night. I can't take off work today because of tax season so I drove in this morning with the lights. I've got to work some hours tomorrow before the storm hits, so I'll have to juggle dropping off the car at the garage and borrowing my husband's car to drive in to work. My daughter and her boyfriend are driving south to WV to see an indie rock concert this weekend, so I'm a nervous wreck about them driving through this storm. These are the types of triggers that can cause me to stress eat, but I'm more aware of them now and as many of you have said, eating is not going to fix anything. I hope all of you have a good weekend!

01/13 173.8 / I’m really pissed off cuz I’m up 1 lb since yesterday for no apparent reason. Does anyone else gain weight day after exercise?

01/16 — 174 Ugh the last few days have sucked when it’s come to weight loss. I’ve literally gone nowhere. I had aunt flo come to visit and that usually makes me gain weight and be very bloated. Plus didn’t exercise. But Today is a new day. I ordered Isagenix and all my stuff came last night. I’m excited to restart and reboot!!

01/17 172 — The 16th was an Isagenix Shake day and a big workout. The 17th- I did an Isagenix Cleanse, ie it’s more of a fast. But you also lose weight very fast. The bad part is mental fogginess.

01/18 169.6 —- I said OMG!! (in a good way) when i saw the number on the scale today. I’m not one of these Isagenix salespersons (but can took you ip if you need!) but it’s given me very fast results here when I’ve been incredibly stuck all month and feeling out of control!...I’m so happy to have my toe in the 160s again!! Also I definitely see a difference with belly fat down. Today is a shake day and I just want to keep this going!

01/13 - Didn’t weigh, had a family day
01/14 - 144lbs. stuck to calories, feeling bloated from the weekend. Had a lot of water though and no fizzy drinks.
01/15 - 142lbs. I'm a day behind as I weigh at night so update the following morning! Stuck to calories as much as I could, I made a giant stew but added everything to a recipe and tried to divide up as best I could.
01/16 - Didn't weigh as no scales
01/17 - 141lbs. It's slow but it's going down. I've been slightly over calories most of this week (around 1400 instead of 1200) and been doing a bit less exercise so it's good to know the weight still goes down! Hoping to get to and stay under 140lbs this round. Eventual aim is 125lbs.

@jaccimc63 i definitely get those stress weeks at work when you just want to get through the work and end up eating crap! but you’re smart to keep tracking here as your strategy.
