@TeresaW1020 You know, I think that is the reason I haven't seen it yet (4 hours long) lol. But maybe I will watch it at home. I can't see myself sitting in the theatre being annoyed at people texting on their phone for 4 hours. ;) But I promise, I WILL watch it!!!

@theslightedgeforever Stress=calling a friend. Stress=cleaning your tub. Stress=playing with your pug. lol I've managed to make food this week. I have not managed to track. But at least I haven't been eating at restaurants or takeout. I'm traveling for work starting Tuesday and will be eating in restaurants so we'll see how that goes. I'll make the best decisions I can. Happy belated birthday, I think I missed it.

@cbabie Yay for internet and no sugar and sweets! That's something to celebrate. I just have to take the frames to my normal optometrist, I had to order the frames at a specialty shop (my optometrist didn't carry the frames). It's going to take two weeks for them to come back with the lenses in. I told them to be very careful, they are handpainted! I didn't end up hanging out with my friend, it rained and she wanted to stay in. That was just as well, I had things to do.

Hi all. I'm glad to say I don't have any meal prep to do today as I will be leaving on Tuesday for a business trip. I do have a lot of other things to do today. We still haven't put away our Christmas Village and so we do that today. Plus, household chores. So that's what my Sunday looks like.

@cbabie I always laugh at your DH. 😂 he would have danced with me. That’s good no sugar and no sweets.

@gemwolf110 now you’ve made me want to go watch Huskie videos.

@Trooworld. Those are some good answers about stress. Although that one about the tub was giving me stress just thinking about it. Lol. I don’t like cleaning tubs. If you can’t make good decisions in some restaurants then go for smaller portions. Cut your food in half and eat that. If your hotel has a fitness room take some time each day to use it. Even for 20 min. Thanks for bday wishes. It’s tomorrow I’ll hit the big 55. I was watching the Brady Bunch kids restore the original house and the lady kept saying the 50th Anniversary is coming up soon. I thought how can that be?

I stayed within my food boundaries. I exercised for 44 min. Water goal met. Journal done. Big sticker day

@theslightedgeforever I don't like cleaning tubs either, it hurts my back to bend over and scrub. Thanks for the restaurant tips. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TODAY!!! <3<3<3

Hello all. I still am not packed for my trip and I leave tomorrow. I have to work a full day today and a half-day tomorrow. I'm going to pack tonight, but I'm stressed. At least the laundry is WASHED. It is not put away though. :/

Morning all, I BLEW it yesterday. We had a bake sale at church for Children's Camp and well I had not eaten and it was 12:30 and someone said here take some left over...a brownie was right there...I put it in my mouth before i EVEN THOUGHT!!! It just went down hill from there. I tell you I can't get away from all or nothing..LOL

So my DGS is still ketos....he believes in this. The good news is, he is an encouragement to me..he makes me cook cleaner..LOL He can only have certain foods, so I have had to get creative..

@theslightedgeforever Happy Birthday...if you turn the big 55 I must be 48..LOL Oh I did my math backwards...(kidding) I hope it's a great one for you...Tell DH he has to cook today. NOT Yes my DH would have danced with you and I would have be dying a thousand deaths.. :)

@trooworld Enjoy traveling...I always at least enjoyed the time alone in my hotel room...MY time, it didn't belong to anyone else. LOL Do the best you can and know that when you get back, you start right where you left off. Wow hand painted glasses...I would be too afraid that I would scratch or break them..I bet they make you feel empowered!!! :)
Okay internet went down again...I will send this when it comes back up.. UGH

@cbabie sorry to hear about yesterday! Anyone would be tempted. I always have a big breakfast, I have learnred it helps me eat less overall. Or at least that's the theory. And I'm glad even if your DGS is doing something diffferent you can support him in it. The fitness industry is always coming up with shiny new things, and it can be hard to convince people not to try it all out.

@trooworld good luck with your trip and laundry. It is tough being away.

Happy birthday @theslightedgeforever I hope you have a great day!

@TeresaW1020 I haven't seen Gone with the wind either....I think I saw a clip once? 2 hours is pretty much my limit for a movie.

Well from a food perspective my weekend was not the best but not the worst, either. So I'll take that. My motivation is a bit down, but I will get it back. I'm getting a little tired of logging on MFP and WW. I have been very diligent on MFP bc that was my goal this month. I am only signed up on a discount price for WW until end of March. I'm not sure if I will continue past then or not.

In other news, waiting for spring! I am a baseball fanatic and spring training games start soon. I root for the Blue Jays, of course, but they usually break my heart by May and then I start watching the Dodgers. They're my second favourite team.

    Take care all

@trooworld I hate putting away clothes too. Lol. There’s not too many domestic chores I like. Enjoy your work trip

@cbabie so the habit to develop along with your no sugar habit is alter your thoughts. You are telling yourself that I blew it so it’s okay to eat like there’s no tomorrow. Your thoughts include I’m an all or nothing person since I have blown the nothing part by eating a brownie so now I can eat all. So what could you alter? I ate this brownie because I was hungry. Let me go track it now before I forget. (Tracks brownie) Now I have X number of calories left for the rest of the day. Thinks about what I’m having for supper tonight. Better yet is to input your planned meal into the tracker in the morning. Lots of people make a to do list and check it off. This is your to eat list for the day. If a brownie pops up and ends up in your mouth unexpectedly then before you eat you just go adjust the portion sizes of the other meals. 3/4 c to 1/2 c or whatever to make the numbers work. Will you be perfect at this from the beginning and everyday? No. It’s a habit to be learned over time but it does get better.
Teach your DGS to cook. You know the old saying about teach a man to fish. Then he can have dinner waiting for you when you get home from a busy day. You will be doing him a great service when you are no longer around. I’m queen 👸 on my bday. No cooking or cleaning. We went out. Imagine how old you must be if your little sis is 55 😂

@its_cleo I had to double log for a while and got tired of it and so just ended up here. In my 100 day journal this week we had an assignment about motivation. It said motivation is a choice. Keep telling yourself that. Write it down where you can see it. Then we had to list the actions we do/did that kept us motivated. Then refer to the list when motivation starts slipping and do some of those actions. I love baseball too.

So I was queen for a day and that means I get a hall pass on my goals and duties. I love my bday. But from last year to today I have shown some progress. I did not go hog wild and eat with abandonment. I ate just a banana for breakfast. Then bumped my traditional birthday French toast breakfast to lunch. I went out to dinner and split an entree with DH and then split my bday dessert with him. It’s better to have 1/2 piece out somewhere than bake a cake at home where there are leftovers for days that I get into. I tracked everything. Usually no exercise when I’m queen but I walked the mall for 11 min while waiting for my son to arrive. Other than that I laid in bed and read. It’s good to be queen. A freebie big sticker was placed on Day 42 and onto Day 43 where I’ll be back to being just a lowly subject.

@cbabie Today is a new day and a day to start over. I believe you can do this, cbabie! I am looking forward to the very little time I'll have in my hotel room...I wish I didn't have to eat my meals with my coworkers, I would prefer to just grab dinner and take it to my room because I'll be tired and my officemate is a slow eater so it will make me get back to my room late. :( I will miss my husband, but it's good to be away from him from time to time. I'm pretty careful with my glasses, so I'm not worried about scratching them (plus, they have a coating over them). Have a good day!

@its_cleo Thank you. There is never enough time to get ready for a trip, is there? I am still not packed all the way and I have to go to work for 4 hours and then come home and leave. :/

@theslightedgeforever Yes!!! I wouldn't mind so much if most of the clothes were mine but most are my husband's, he dirties so many clothes so I feel like it's a lot of work with very little payoff for me. ;) It sounds like you had an awesome birthday, queen! :D

Hi all. I'll probably check in every day because as of right now, I'm planning on taking my laptop with me. I'll have plenty of time to check in, as I get up at 5 or 6am and my officemate won't be ready to go until 9am. :( Can you tell this trip is bittersweet for me?

    Trish, where are you?

Hello everyone! I really can't believe how many of you haven't seen Gone With The Wind!! :o The movie is such a big part of my life because it was my favorite book at a young girl and then watching the movie many times over the years. I just assumed everyone knew and loved it. :D

@cbabie, I'm sorry you blew it at church. I did too yesterday. There were cookies left in my office and instead of moving them or trashing them, I started eating them. I had 5 Oreos before I got a grip and took them to the nursery. Soooo mad at myself, but I have no choice but to move forward and do better. You too. :)

@theslightedgeforever, Queen for the day is awesome and you made some really good choices and then got right back on your plan. You are an inspiration!! B)

@trooworld, I hope you have a great time and I'm glad you will be able to check in with us. Do you get a room to yourself or do you have to share it with your officemate?

@its_cleo, I hear you about it being a pain to double track. I always track something on WW because I like to collect those Wellness Win points. Yesterday, I had enough to get a free eyeshadow kit. :) Right now because I'm really tracking my sodium, I'm being more diligent on MFP. I will probably bounce back to WW once I figure things out because it's quicker. I just registered our church's softball league yesterday. We have won the last 4 years in a row. :)

Well, I gained the weight that I lost last week. I guess eating Oreos at work yesterday wasn't the smartest idea. :s:'( Then I came home and had a Premier Protein, which has more sodium than I should be having. So I was up this morning and I have only to myself to blame. I am pissed but I'm also resolved not to make that mistake this week. I am so close to getting my 50 lb charm. Seriously, why do I give in to temptation?? :#

I'm about to leave for my eye appointment and tomorrow will shop for my new glasses. I will be glad when it's all over. ;)

@trooworld. You would hate eating with me. Lol. I’m slow but I’m enjoying my meal. They just wolf theirs down I dont even think they taste it. Of course I’m too busy talking between bites Then DH is always scrounging around other people’s plates. It especially bothers me when I’ve already measured out my food. I’d go sit in the lobby by myself after I finished eating or some nice nook and cranny. I have to have my alone time away from other people or I turn into wicked witch of the west. Enjoy as much as you can

@teresaw1020 you know weight fluctuates from day today. Just keep staying within those boundaries and you’ll be the proud recipient of that 50 lb charm in no time. Next time you eat the Oreos at work see where you can slice off some calories/points for dinner and evening snacks. Are you tracking as you go or waiting til the end of the day to track all your food. May you bring home the softball trophy 🏆 this year too.

I stayed within my food boundaries exercised for 64 minutes. Water goal met. Journal done. Big sticker day

@theslightedgeforever motivation is a choice, that is true. I'm struggling a lot but determined to keep tracking even if I'm over calories, so then I don't give up completely. I like alone time too- everyone needs some of that I think.

@trooworld so are you early to bed to get up so early? I hope your roommate doesn't keep you up at night at too. I can't say I get up early, but I definitely go to bed early. I tell people I'm like an old woman lol.

@TeresaW1020 I wish I could give you my wellness points lol. I don't really use them. I'll stick with it for 3 months at least. It definitely helped to get me on the right track. Hey that's great you play softball. I wish I could but I pretty much suck at sports.

Well I'm struggling a bit. Today I planned a good breakfast (egg burrito) and lunch (tuna on one piece of bread plus salad), but then had a cheese danish. The danish was 350 calories. So it could have been worse. But I've been hungry most of the day and this is what gets me bc I always reach a point where I'm tired of being hungry. My dinner was from the freezer and not filling. So I am starving lol. Trying to decide between ice cream and a peanut butter and banana sw. Both are high in calories but if I have the sandwich it might be filling enough that I stop there.

@its_cleo something to ponder. Are you hungry or not satisfied with your food. If it’s the latter, then you’ll keep searching for something that satisfies you. The cheese danish. Was it good? Could you have eaten 3/4 of it. 1/2?

I stayed within my food boundaries but lunch wasn’t very nutritional. Chicago mix popcorn. I’ll pay for it with sodium bloat the next few days. Today was exercise rest day but got in my steps and my 15 min minimum. Water goal met. Journal done. Big sticker day

    Happy Valentine's Day ladies!! <3<3

I'm just popping on for a moment to say hi! I have a pork loin in the crockpot for a pork ragu that I will serve over pasta and a bottle of red in the fridge. I did my workout to help offset the calories. :)

    Morning everyone

Also just popping in. Lots of stuff has been happening at this end. Father has been in hospital because he fell off a ladder and put a stake through his arm. Have major dental issues that have required long hours in the dental chair and lots of panadeine forte. I am going to end up with an implant that will cost thousands out of pocket. hence I decided we had to look at other areas to save costs and one area that went was WW. I will be returning full time to here - just having issues with the app and I currently speaking to MFP support as we speak.

Sorry I was MIA. I will catch up soon Trish

Yes I need to change my thinking and my tracking.

@theslightedgeforever you are making great improvments in your lifestyle and I am happy so I can have a sister..we can fight our genes..LOL

@teresaw1020 I agree with you we both can do this. You have a great support system with your DH and I think that is so great..not so much here. LOL

@its_cleo you are doing great..double tracking does stink. However, you have one up on me..I can't seem to track in just one of them LOL

@trooworld I truly do hope you enjoy the time away from your normal routine and then when you get back home, it will be a blessing to you.

Well internet is down again, so this will be sent the second I have internet again.

I hope you all have a great day

    Morning everyone

@TeresaW2010 - Hope you had a nice valentines day

@Trooworld - how did the inserts go?

@theslightedgeforever - Nice exercise (60 min) . I need to work up to that - currently at 40 min

@cbabie - The internet situation must be so frustrating. I would want to throw the computer out of the window.

Hello to its_cleos and any other that pass by

I have reset my MFP with the starting date today. I have to say it was a big decision to leave WW as I really wanted to go out as a LTM and then it finally dawned - health is more important than any titles, so it does not matter how you do it as long as you get healthy

    Take care

Hello @Prisoner2food - How are you going? If you are not having time to exercise - how is your eating going?

@cbabie - You.... have the patience of a saint. I would have thrown it long ago (lol)

I felt good about yesterday. I only went over my day count by 100. I think that is wonderful considering we had Chinese for dinner. I chose braised king prawns rather than something battered. Today is a fresh day

    Take care everyone

@cbabie. Better than fighting each other. How are you doing on your eating plan?

@trishastime. I have the title queen sometimes so it’s okay for you to call yourself lifetime member when you hit goal. We are all lifetime members of health at that point. So are you going to just count calories now? Good for you on your day.

@prisoner2food hang in there. This too shall pass. can you put on your favorite song and walk til that song is done. Sometimes I use YouTube on my phone and listen that way. I had oldies going the other day. I’ve been getting my exercise done in spurts because mentally doing it all at one stretch is hard. Sometimes time is a factor.

So Friday I only got a little sticker ☹️ it was my rest day but completely forgot to get in my 15 min. Busy day and I had everything done on my checklist. Just forgot to write exercise 15 min on my checklist. Once a year my bookclub group meets for a fun night of potluck and Jeopardy. We are fierce competitors. You can make your own categories and questions or use theirs. I stayed within my calories.

But today was big sticker day. Much better. Stayed within food boundaries. Exercised 60 min. Water goal met. Journal done.

Good morning! It's cold and rainy here today. :#

@TrishasTime, I am so sorry that you are having a hard time with your father and the high cost of dental work. I'm sure dropping WW was a hard choice but you got this!! I find myself liking MFP tracking more because I can keep an eye on my sodium and other macros. We are here for you! <3

@cbabie, I really think the biggest battle is our consistency. I've been tracking it all even if it's my secret binging of Oreos that I did last week. I am blessed to have the support of my husband but even he can't stop me from going down the rabbit hole sometimes. That has to come from within and from above. ;)

@prisoner2food, sorry life is so busy for you but you just hang in there. Try walking or jogging in place for one minute every time you go to the bathroom. It really does add up! :)

@theslightedgeforever, your book club sounds like so much fun! Good job on staying on your plan and getting those stickers. Can you believe we are almost halfway done with our 100 days! :o

@trooworld, hope your having a great weekend!! <3

So yesterday, hubby and I decided to treat ourselves to a new pair of jeans for each of us. We went to Kolhs and I tried on several pairs. I ended up with a pair of Levis 505 regular fit size 16. NOT a women's size 16 either. Just a plain 16 without the stretch. They are a little snug but buttoned up perfectly fine and I am so excited!! On Valentine's Day my husband gave me this beautiful blouse that he bought in the regular section of a really nice store. It is an X-Lg and fits perfectly. I'm wearing my new outfit to church this morning! Ya'll this dieting and exericse thing is working!! :DB)

@TeresaW1020 that's a nice blouse! It's a great feeling to shop and see your size change. I know I have some pants that used to be tight and now they're a bit loose- had to wear a belt last week! I loved it.

@theslightedgeforever I love games, potluck and Jeopardy sound fun. I love talking tough, smack talk- nothing mean just all in fun. The day I had the danish- yeah it was not very satisfying and then I had a string of carbs all afternoon because I was hungry. I really need to eat proteins/fats to feel full, and some carbs but not a lot. I know it, I think just some days I get bored with the the same/similar foods, and then it goes downhill.

@TrishasTime I'm sorry to hear the dental work. I have been there. I think I'm leaving ww too. I can;t do both MFP and WW, sometimes I found they conflicted and I decided to go with MFP. Just sticking with something is important, no matter what tool you use I think.

So I am carrying on. Halfway through Feb so let's take stock- my goal was to meet my MFP targets which are set to lose 1lb a week. I haven't met the target most days, but I have continued to track, so that is progress for me. I'm also starting to make notes on the days I go over to see what happened. My exercise has been low in Feb, partly due to lack of time partly due to weather. So since Feb 1 I lost 1.2 lbs, which is less that I wanted but still progress considering I am always 1 step forward two steps backward.

My goal this week is to exercise more and increase intensity ie I've been walking a lot and haven't done much running in a couple months. So to try to get some running in as well as walking.

Today I am going on a walk with friends and then to a pub for a late lunch/drink. I'm actually going to eat lunch before so I will not get anything big at the pub- just a snack/appetizer. I've decided to just enjoy it in moderation bc I've not done anything social in a couple of months.

Have a great rest of your weekend, all.

@TeresaW1020 Oh good lord, no, I had my own room thank god!!! I would go nuts if I had to share. Not that I don’t like my colleagues, but I need quiet time/downtime. :D I’m sorry you gained what you lost. Let that anger fuel determination for this next week! Your Valentine’s dinner sounded good. Was it delicious??? Woo hoo to the 16s!!! I love the shirt. :D

@theslightedgeforever Oh yes I would hate eating with you lol! I had to endure 2 hour dinners every night that we went out. It was terrible! All I wanted to do was go back to the hotel and order food delivery! Lol Yes, I need alone time too, and I don’t know that everyone understands that. :(

@its_cleo I am an early riser, it’s true! I get up at 6:00 a.m. even on the weekends. I’m lucky that I had my own room on the trip, so I was able to go to bed early. ;)

@TrishasTime Oh, dear Trish, I am so sorry to hear about all of what has been going on. I wondered where you were. ((( HUGS ))) I love the inserts. I have the pair you recommended in my sneakers, and a different brand/manufacturer’s inserts in my work shoes. Between the two pairs, my feet are much better. Thanks for the recommendation. I really like the ones you recommended. You are right in that HEALTH is the goal, not a title, so go for health. You will get there, I know it, just stick with it, keep your eye on the prize.

@cbabie I did enjoy my time away (sort of) but am glad to be back. I would be so frustrated if I didn’t have internet. We do everything on the internet...we cut the cord so our tv is all through the internet, of course our computing, our banking, etc. so I don’t know how you can stand it!!!

HI all! I’m baaaaack. I talked so much during my trip that I came back with a throat so sore I thought I was getting a cold, but my throat isn’t sore anymore so I think it was just from talking nonstop at the booth while working. I was on my trip on Valentine’s Day so I picked out a present...a matching set of fireball pearl necklace and earrings. I’ll attach a picture forgive my stank face, it was on my trip and I was tired! LOL They are called fireballs because the pearls have a tail that make them look like fireballs. My husband and I went to a wine bar last night to celebrate Valentine’s Day, it was fun: I had a couple of glasses of wine, he had beer, and we shared a charcuterie board. I’m glad to be back to some sense of normalcy!

    EMPOWERED.

@TeresaW1020 Love the blouse. Totally my style. If you would come to my closet you would see about 20 other ones in their only different colors. Although this is the first year my arms don’t look good in sleeveless. I’ve lost 40 lbs since my heaviest days and either that or aging is messing with my skin. So time for some toning or something. Yeah on the new jeans. I was putting my sticker on my calendar and was looking at day 50. The chart seemed very daunting at Day 1. My first thought back then was I wonder if I’ll finish this.

@its_cleo it’s good you are trying to incorporate your social life into your healthy one or vice versa. It has to be a lifestyle or it won’t stick. My weight loss slowed down in Feb. I’m actually at a crawl now but I’m still moving forward. That’s progress right there. We will conquer this together.

@trooworld Just think of the fun we would have if you had to spend two hours with me at dinner. Love the fireball necklace. I’m glad you explained it. I thought they were jellyfish 🙈 So now back to normal and back to your routine.

I stayed within calories but nutritional values could have been better. I don’t think I had a single vegetable. I walked 62 min. Water goal met. Journal done. I’m going to be adding in strength training this week sometime. Just need to get my plan in place and increase my burned calories goal to 275 along with increasing my step goal up to 6000. The interesting part of this experiment has been that by lowering my initial goals I have been able to stay consistent longer and I’ve lost more weight than I normally would by having higher goals like 10000 steps.

    Hi everyone

@theslightedgeforever - Yes I am only doing calories now. I am glad you had a big sticker day gives you something visual to work towards. I love that you are doing over 60 min walking - I s that just treadmill or treadmill and other.
I took a page out of your book and lower my exercise output goals - staring with just 3 planned exercuse days per week instead of 7

@TeresaW1020 - That is a very pretty top and looks very summery and light. I bet you are over the moon with your NSV - woo hoo - normal size jeans - you rock!!

@its_cleo - Yes - I think, knowing the weight and recording it correctly helps. If you are tracking all your food in MFP, you can also export reports of your days/weeks etc. Here in Aus - they do not have and will not have the items that you can work towards. I like the way you set your coming week goals.

@trooworld - Wow - love the earrings and necklace - so glad my recommendation got your through the conference. Now you can put them into your walking shoes when you walk at lunch with your friends

    Take care

@theslightedgeforever Hahaha! Actually, we would have fun for a two-hour dinner because we could talk and get to know each other. The two-hour dinners I had while I was away stunk because it was with coworkers/our director. :( The fireballs do look like jellyfish, maybe they should rename them! Yes, back to normal routine.

@TrishasTime Yes, me too! Indeed. I might actually get another pair so that I can leave this pair in my home sneakers.

Hi all. I'm thankful to say that I have President's Day off, so I'll be doing meal prep today. Actually, I've got a lot to do today. I should have done some of it yesterday but I felt lazy. Here's what I'm meal prepping:

Instant Pot Chicken Parmesan + roasted asparagus
Country Style Instant Pot Cube Steak + roasted potatoes
    Lighter Chicken Caesar Salad
Creamy Ranch Chicken + roasted broccoli
Feel-Good Fall Salad + grilled chicken breasts

    EMPOWERED.

    Good morning everyone

@trooworld - The lighter chicken Caesar salad looks nice :) I have ended up with 4 pairs and I also have a special pair of thongs that have arch support - that I wear around the house. I have enclosed a link because I am not sure what you guys call this footwear

    https://archiesfootwear.com.au/

I stayed within my calorie, did the walk at lunchtime, made sure I left after 8 hours of work, so a big tick for yesterday

    OWNING IT!

@TrishasTime The 60+ min is just actual walking. It’s done in spurts though. Like 23 min here 18 min there. I’m finding that easier than than just one big go of it. I’ve got to make my plan so I can start strength training this week. Good for you for working towards those goals. When I was younger I called those shoes thongs but somewhere along the line they changed to flip-flops.

@trooworld That cube steak sounds good. Did you enjoy your day off? My dd was bummed she had to work. I said people still need their surgeries.

I stayed with my food boundaries. 79 min exercise although 62 of this was moving boxes. I had to look for something in my storage room and if course it was all the way in the back. Water goal met and journal done.
