I have always had a problem with snacking in the evenings but this week have changed my diet to more veg, less meat and bread, so far no cravings at all. Also eating later where before I had my meals quite early.0

This probably isn't the advice anyone wants to hear and please take it with a grain of salt cause I was never a big snacker in the first place.
In the past month I've started pursuing a minimalist lifestyle and a lot of that is living with intention. That mindset has inevitably transferred to my eating habits. Meaning that each of my meals are prepared and consumed with thoughtfulness - being fully aware of how this fuels my body not just in calories, but psychologically, eating pleasurable foods that may not be ideal but still fuel me in an emotional way. I find I don't need to snack and I don't crave snacking pretty much ever anymore.2 -
Thank for the advice all help is welcome.1

Hey! My name is Melissa and I'm just coming back to MFP. I used to be on here but haven't for a long time. Trying to loose weight and get into shape so I'm giving this another try. I'm a full time college student so I find myself snacking a lot which isn't a good thing if trying to lose weight!. Feel free to add me as a friend!0

I have purchased sourdough pretzel nuggets and put 15 nuggets (150 calories) in a plastic container and nibble on them throughout the day. I bought mini Kind Bars (100 calories), individual portion packages of Goldfish crackers. Radishes with a bit of salt, cherry tomatoes, an apple sliced in wedges.....all allow you to "snack" without feeling guilty.1

Hi, my name is Sue, been in and off here for last six years. Weight up and down and up, going down again. Started originally at 198lbs now 162lbs.
It’s the evening snacking! Crisps and chocolate, my favourite go to snack, none only keep the crisps I don’t like for my grandkids, and the chocolate they like. But if desperate have been known to munch yucky crisps 😂😂😂 I feel your snackers pain.
I forgive myself and start again the next day.

I think an important thing to do is stop and focus on why you are wanting that food. Are you bored? Are you emotional? Or are you legit hungry? I personally try to distract myself by doing other things when my food cravings kick in, and I know I am not actually hungry. WILLPOWER. That's honestly what it comes down to. I'd also say, try working on adding in healthier options, so that if you absolutely cannot fight it, at least you are going for a healthier food.
You can do this!1 -
