Giving me their opinion- like I think you have lost too much weight even though I haven’t, that I ate too much/too little, or the I’m surprised you eat blank and lose weight type comments.
Get my opinion- do you think I should this? Or what do you do to lose weight? Eating healthy and exercise is never good enough.
Also buying clothes and shaving is a lot different
I've lost a lot, but I find more people want to tell why of how I have done it wrong, or how I couy improve. Usually it's people who have not been able to loose weight themselves.7 -
This may be a "well, duh!" for most, but nobody told me that even when I'm on a restricted calorie diet, I don't feel hungry. My body adjusts to eating less, but still eating whatever I want, if I'm within limits. Sometimes I feel so full that I wonder how was I even able to eat so much! Portion control is the best thing for me.
Also, that I will have to use all my sewing skills since half my clothes is already too loose on me.18 -

Ugh - wish I had this problem. Overall I do look better 40+ pounds lighter, but my face doesn't have the fullness it used to. It looked good full...not as gaunt. Not that I want to go back but.... *sigh*
Are you still in a deficit? I have heard that the face looks less gaunt after maintaining for a while with glycogen replenishing at maintenance calories.2 -
How being a pack rat paid off- I'm shopping in my closet of clothes I haven't been able to wear in 3 years and they look GREAT!
How often we mistake thirst for hunger.
How suddenly I leave the gym smiling! That only took 6 years!!!22 -
I used to "scoff" at or at the very least, roll my eyes at people who have blasted the greater majority of the weight off, who would complain or even "dare" to post about what a difficult time they had attempting to lose forever getting rid of the last 10 or so pounds when I was obese and overweight. I used to think to myself "hmmmmmph! What are they complaining about"?!? 10 pounds or so is NOTHING compared to how far I've got to go. Now that I'm at that place of blasting the last 10 or so pounds from up off of me/my body (and have been at this place of blasting the last 10-13lbs off for a long time now)--several+ months and I'm not complaining, because I have learned that this weight blastification TAKES TIME and a lot of it ). I am humbled and am sorry that I used to think that way when people would post their struggles/issues with the last 10lbs or so . The last bit of weight a person is trying to forever rid their bodies from is no joke, at all. It's a real deal struggle that I never imagined and/or imagined that it would be as easy as pie to blast the last 10 or so pounds away.29

Nobody told me I could be within 40 pounds of goal weight and start sabotaging myself.

I am completely flummoxed about it, as I have NO idea why my psyche is starting to fight me. Seriously, every pound is a major battle right now... not because I don't know how or what to do - but because I simply am not DOING it, consistently - even though I KNOW what needs to happen for the weight to come off.

I have done this for years so I can relate. I don't know what it will take for you, but I just got sick and tired of doing things half @ssed.. working so hard and then undoing my own efforts, so I just buckled down hard this last year.8 -

lol.. I just realized when I typed Azzed with an @, I linked to someone's old profile.2 -
That people will look at you and somehow make a comment using your body to make self-degrading comments about themselves. I struck up a conversation with two moms at the local community center who had little babies (8 and 10 months), I had my 21-month-old baby on my back, my husband was changing the other two kids from swim lessons in the men's locker room. I told them how beautiful and engaging their babies were and we chatted for a minute about their kids, then I complimented one mom's swimsuit because I had one in the same style. Instead of just taking the compliment she made a comment about how she didn't like to show her body because she "just had a child and didn't look good like me" or something like that. It made me feel awkward, so I just told them to have a nice swim and left. Look, lady, it's fine if you want to make self-degrading comments. I don't want to hear it, so I'll probably cut the conversation off soon after, but why did you have to bring my body into it?
I wish I'd been honest and told her my 21-month-old was her baby's age (8 months) when I started tracking my food, I was obese then. Within 6 months I was a healthy weight. I wish I had been able to encourage her, but I was taken aback.25 -
Nobody told me how stupid I would feel when I realized I’d been wearing my shorter summer leggings backwards. For weeks.
No wonder they felt funny!!!!!21 -
Nobody told me I would be grossed out by my veiny feet! I'm exaggerating a bit but I was shocked by all the veins the other day LOL!6

Forearms and hands.
I wouldn't say I'm grossed out by all that veininess, exactly, but it's certainly... disconcerting!1 -
Hands! I have old lady veiny hands! But...I guess I am an old lady, lol.4
-
My hands aren't too bad yet, I see the tendons more but no veins yet! I think maybe running is making the veins in my feet pop more too.1
-
I wonder if I will become more veiny as I lose weight or get older. My feet have always had a decent amount of fat. When I wear strappy shoes I always get little pudges of fat poking out, lol. They don't bother me too much because it's not really noticeable unless you look closely, but I definitely am not veiny at all.0

I didn't realize how many comments I would get about my weight loss and how much more attention I would receive. I'm someone who likes to go in and out of places unnoticed and without talking to anyone, so it is a bit irritating having to endure unwanted conversations and eyes on me. I don't like the attention but at the same time, it's nice to be noticed.
I also didn't think I would ever love to go shopping again. Buying clothes has become fun again. It's crazy. Knowing that I can actually wear the clothes I like and feel good wearing them changes the experience entirely.
How cumbersome bones are. I never took notice of my bones but now they seem to get in the way, especially while laying down and exercising.
That it will take resilience to ward off negative comments from others, even though you feel you've done something well. It takes strength to hold fast to your goals, regardless of what the outside world has to say.11 -
That one day, you will be able to FLOAT in the bathtub! I always though that you could float in a body of water, no matter how large/big you are. I've NEVER been able to actually float in my tub, now I can!
That the "self-control" that you LEARN in this weight blastification adventure will actually help you with PATIENCE (with yourself and equally if not more important, with others). I don't know about you, but I've struggled with impatience and anger my whole life. I find myself being (catching myself more and more when that "spirit" of YUCK (impatience and all it's yucky thoughts/ways) attempts to overtake and influence me...where it's becoming a second nature of sorts to immediately reject it and replace it with...patience and self-control) and putting OFF impatience/anger quicker and quicker and putting on so much more patience and peace and in control of myself and it's wonderful, period.9 -

My hands and arms. My skin is so thin even the tiny ones pop now.2 -
My veins pop sometimes, not when you want them to though.
When I work out, they are massive. Very well hydrated and blood pumping hard and fast.
Had minor surgery, thought "well they will have no problem finding a vein!" Wrong. No fluids after midnight the night before, those things shrunk right up.
I had no idea they changed so much with hydration level, but they do.7
