Barbara ~ Hugs! So sorry your husband is being stubborn when he might get help by going to a specialist. My husband need to have cataract surgery but refuses.

Heather - love the ones of your family too. The kids haven't definitely grown since then.

This was supposed say they HAVE grown since the picture, sorry.

Barbara - I hope Joe changes his mind and let’s you attend. I have a stubborn husband too so I know how unlikely that is though. It’s tough loving someone that set in their ways but it has its benefits too, I know he would do anything to keep me safe.

Progressive Glasses - I started wearing progressives about 6 years ago. One thing I was told by friends was to make sure when they were measuring that the samples were where my glasses would sit normally not where the ophthalmologist tried to put them. Since my glasses forever sit down my nose a bit that is where I made them measure. I have never had an issue with them from day 1. I have noticed though that I need to go get my eyes tested again as I am having to use the “reading” part in the computer lately.

Feeling a bit better now and hopefully it continues so I can go to work tomorrow. If I could just get rid of the headache I would be set.

Went to mail some important letters concerning trust. The outside mail box had been broken into overnight. In future I will take important mail to mail at the post office or if I know the mail will be picked up in a short time I might mail from a free standing box, but I will never put mail in a box if it will sit overnight.

Barbara, the Southern Oregon Coasti,, yes very true! I need my Lutheran elders to settle my soul. I will be visiting my eldest sister in Montana next month!💖. I can't wait. The last time we visited was in 2017 and Owain out youngest was with us. It was right after he graduated from high school, and my sister lived in Boardman Oregon, by Pendleton.💖. This was our last visit!sjbevv6j6eb4.jpg
She's now in Montana, shooting rabbits on her property like a real Annie Oakly!

I buy snacks for my husband that he likes but I don't and I make an effort to keep him stocked. I told him that salty potato chips call to me from the pantry begging me to crunch them but I can easily stay away from the vinegar ones he likes. Pretzels don't call my name. We both eat dried fruit and nuts. I measure out my allowed 1-2 ounces and he can go wild. My husband understands or at least he wants me to be healthy so he goes along. My September goal is to lose 5 pounds to get to the number that my doctor says will make her happy and me healthy. I hold my weight around my middle, bad for heart, I've lost 45 pounds over about 3 years. Long and slow and steady with many plateaus, but changing eating habits pays off time. Denise in California

Allie - am VERY proud of you, well done, both for enjoying your solo day (I love them, too!) and for keeping your eating under the control you wish to have. Pleased for you...

Weird day - unsettled and oddly stressful, but without reason... Tomorrow will be better.

    Later, y'all,

Heather That's a beautiful photo of your son and family. Also wonderful mermaid on the beach.

Pip What a beautiful Tiger Lily!

    Felicia Great news! <3

Shannon I spent a lot of money on progressive lenses I couldn't adjust to. Grrrrr!!! Concerning the Magnesium, I take Mag Citrate - it's absorbed really well, & I do not get diarrhea from it.

Barbara Joe's a stubborn guy...can't imagine accepting loss of vision unless there was no other choice. I guess he doesn't want your input at his doctor's appointment. That's probably a mistake.

Vicki Does your department exercise together?

Rebecca Love the minimalist idea. My friend calls it "pup tent" living. Whatever you would take along if you had to live in a pup tent...

    Allie Well done!

    Lisa (((Hug)))

Grandson copped a minor attitude today, so I just left him a list of what he needed to finish and left him to do it "on his honor". I noticed he was working on it as I left to go home.

Allie – sorry your pup is nearing the end. Amazing story about the frame!

Tracey -great pictures and what a great gift! Happy belated birthday.

    Heather – lovely family.

Felicia – good news about your husband. Isn’t it funny how we can always jump to the worst even if we have no reason to?

BananasandOranges -the payment system for adjuncts there sounds a bit strange. I found it to function differently when I was doing adjunct teaching here in the US. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Good news on the knee. I have had cortisone shots over the years. They can be helpful and one upon occasion should not be bad. You just can’t have them frequently.

Shannon in Ontario – I have regular no-line bifocals. For computer work, I got a separate pair for the nearsighted stuff. It means I have to switch out glasses but it reduces eye strain a great deal-worth the hassle for me (and the money).

Barbara, Southern Oregon-sending positive vibes for you and Joe. My husband would have those reactions at times.

Tracyleed1-hope the MRI gives you needed answers. Lots of people on this site loose weight with no or very limited exercise. Good luck.

I would say I am caught up, but by the time I post this there will probably be more comments! Work was ok today. Going to go for a walk to the store to pick up a couple of things, then come back and tidy up the kitchen and take out the trash. Earlier bed time for me tonight (stayed up watching football game). Only work half-day tomorrow then go to OSU to meet with endocrinologist. Part of my regular 6 month check up. Not expecting anything different. Don't know if he will do neck ultrasound this visit or not since I had one in March. I just go with the flow with it.

    Take care all,
