Managed to add 400 bonus calories on to my daily total. Elliptical and recumbent bike. 1,000 again. :drinker:
I need it because we've got chilli tonight with alcohol, and tomorrow I won't have time to exercise before the two eldest grandchildren arrive. I am planning cupcake making. I bought extra supplies today and I have new decorations, including 'gaming' cake toppers, funny penguins and popping candy.
I'm sure it will be absolute chaos, but at least Bea won't be here. I'll get it all set up in the morning before they arrive. I'm going to try to give them each a work station.
After lunch we are going back to their house to meet the new au pair who arrived this afternoon.
Chilli smells amazing in the IP.

Suzi- Thanks. The winter y time change have me all thrown off had a perfect diet to food platform for spring summer now Falls making me fall we haven’t even hit winter yet . Taco 🌮 today y chili later .Crystal light maybe a Gatorade zero. Snacks (still figuring this out balance wise are cereal last night but was still hungry bam 💥 over ate. So trying a different snack tonight hopefully it will work. The only day that went right I ate the last 2 apples 🍎 peeled as a snack but now out of apples. Hubby got groceries so hopefully having more to choose from will help. Hard for him having toddler snacks around (but JR won’t eat many things so need them still till he’s older soon enough. For me over doing healthy options y Halloween 🎃 candy isn’t helping temptation to have just 1 (80cal for a dime sized KitKat or pb cup!) . Just got to keep trying to find what will work. Summer y spring I crave light foods y snacks.Cold hits bam need hardy items but many of those max out calories fast! So finding my new routine but hard (last winter gained 15+ lbs back didn’t have a app or knowledge then).
Exercise routine y learning a new balance a simple sushi 🍣 with 1/2 - 1 apple 🍎 for lunch is like eating 🍽 an empty plate now. Chili as we all know still 330-440 cal a meal by itself but filling. Got gas up a storm call me Exxon Mobile Lol 😂. Need to find time to cook up a steak 🥩 4oz with veggies fills a person up real good but no time. Soup with extra lean meat y veggies my go to cause I can make days worth easy clean up. Dreading Thanksgiving dinner “BIRTHDAY CAKE or PIE 🥧 made by a older aunt” . Will have to starve myself before I go! 1 slice of her pie yikes or cake can even make a donut company scream 😱! Real sugars to heavy cream homemade all! I can be good on the rest tho of course my dieting cousins have a break the calories bank belief for holidays so I will be making y bringing like usual the only healthy item lol to fill up on .

Hi Ladies!! It’s been a tough week. Actually, it’s been a tough month. I have not lost any weight in 6 weeks. On a positive note, I haven’t gained any. I know I can’t become complacent. I’m just seriously having difficulty with motivation. Buying Halloween candy was the worst mistake ever. I sent most of it to school with my daughter. I’m sure she was popular in the cafeteria Friday.
Getting ready to go for a walk!! It a beautiful, but chilly, day!

Rori – what great news, and to be so close to your BMI
Did 30 MF Plateau Buster DVD today. The plan for tomorrow is to do another part of the Melt It Off DVD
Rained last night on and off, but we did have about 35 T-or-Ters. Now to take candy back to WalMart. I stood in the kitchen working on a scarf that I’m making while it was TorT time.
JR – happy early birthday
Pip – are you and Kirby planning to retire in the near future?
Went to WalMart last night and got candy for a lady to give out at the school she subs in. A little over $50 worth.
Terri – congrats on the loss!
Welcome everyone new to a warm and great group.
Karen VA – (HUGS) I never ceased to be amazed at how animals “know” something.
Barbara – well, that WATP DVD was just for 30 minutes. I used to do a DVD for an hour when I took the Actonel so that the time would go by faster, but one time I did start to feel funny. So now I take it the day I take the water aerobics class. Which reminds me, I’m supposed to go to the MD for my routine physical this coming Wednesday. When I had my BDT done, the osteoporosis is back. I was afraid this would happen not being on the Prolia. He wants me to go back to Prolia which I don’t have a problem with at all. For one thing, it’s much more convenient. Get an injection and forget it for 6 months. Plus, if I’m on Prolia the prescription cost on medicare is significantly lower. Right now I’m not enrolled in a prescription plan, but I plan to be after I see him.

Pip - I'm not sure what all that data means, but it's looking goooood! I presume it's your marathon, or half marathon.
Just been told the au pair is coming tomorrow morning, not today as planned, so my son is going to drop the kids off at 8.15. Oouuffff! He has to collect her from the airport.
I will set the alarm as I would like to wash my hair before they arrive.
Expecting to be knackered tomorrow.

Ok ok yes ramen is an acquired taste, most definitely!
I had never had half an egg in ramen before. It was cool, the egg yolk creamy. So made ahead of time and placed in the soup. The three prawns were not cooked too much or chewy. Yummy!
I did however wake up a bit bloated from the salt, so no wedding ring wearing today.
Husband and I went to the Farm Co-op store, because husband had saw some cute Athena clothes there. So today we bought an outfit, black pants, red plaid flannel shirt, and red fleece hooded jacket vest. I know she is always in girly clothes, but my son is a flannel shirt lover, so we'll see if we ever get a pic with her in it. It will be good for cooler weather. Hopefully they will be able to put her in it this winter.I
I sent a letter to youngest Navy son. It had some pretty serious tones, but hopefully he will read it with an open heart. My husband stated no Christmas box this year, until he starts actually answering our letters and cards.
Well yesterday while doing some dishes water started flowing from the cabinet below the sink. So the pipe came apart! Husband called after we mopped up all the water, and put in a trouble call. That was at 12 noon, and we received a call back stating a guy would be by between 2-4 pm. By 3 pm it was fixed. Gotta love living in a rental home. No money exchanging hands. The plumber gets paid by the management company.👍

Rebecca- Don’t blame you he needs to realize just because he’s grown y gone that it’s respectful to call Mama or at least text, email, anything! My Daughter has realized being away how much she cares for us (probably a girl thing tho) texts me regularly to calls. She’s coming for a visit soon sure it will be 1 week for me or less the rest she will be on a computer 👩💻 but she gives us all a few days of all her attention.
PS Athena looking more like you every month she’s so adorable 😍.
Time change - Tell my stomach that it has to wait an extra hour for everything! Keeps growling Definitely not feminine at all if you could hear it! The gas from the chili scaring off JR lol 😂 y hubby they ran to another room. Think I’ll enjoy 😉 90 day fiancé with my gassy me time .

Hi Gals,
I have been fussing with a minor health issue, for about 4 years, with the insurance I have the first $6500 is on me, and an appointment is $65 which is most of my monthly food bill- so a hit to my budget I try to avoid.
It is a female issue, the external labia skin is sensitive, and painful. I have asked at each of the last 3 (one each year) pap smears (they are free on my insurance) and received answers that do not track. The discomfort comes and goes. It’s been quite bad for a few weeks, so FINALLY got online and looked at the choices of what it could be. And the one thing that really seems to fit to me is a yeast overgrowth. In looking at the home remedies one of the things that came up over and over again was to be sure you have your sugar intake under control. My best developed feature is a sweet tooth! Truly I could each a pound of fancy truffles in one sitting and not even feel yucky! I have been visiting with you but not logging and the sugar inhaling is out of control. Even when I was logging faithfully, I always left room for 2-3 small dessert items each day. A dessert item was cookie, ice cream, candy, a baked goodie. I have decided that for the next week I am going to eliminate all sugar based desserts (so a piece of fruit is ok). I am fully aware that there is a ton of sugar is pre-prepared food and processed food, for this week I am just going to not worry about that.
I do not eat any of the “fake” sweeteners they do not taste good to me, most leave me with the taste of chewing on aluminum foil.
Then I am going to go back to logging, I am hoping that this low sugar week will jump start me back to making good choices.
There were some other recommendations I will incorporate to see if I am more comfortable. If, not I may have to make an appointment.

Kim - are you in/through menopause yet? My experience:I had some similar irritation this summer, not itchy really and no discharge, so my doc ruled out yeast - which I thought it was and was self-treating with creams designed for that, 3 or 5 day treatment. Money wasted, lol.Good luck!!
Doc advised external estrogen cream (expensive, I got it anyhow and only use a dab every couple days). Other things that worked well were barrier creams - plain old petroleum jelly and even A & D ointment - my doc said that's a good choice since it helps heal rashes!) Main thing is to keep urine from splashing on the issues and keeping them irritated.
And cotton undies of course.
Hope this helps, worth a try. "Barrier creams" seem to be the thing lots of older ladies use when tissues thin in our later years.

Lanette - I think I am through, but as I had an ablation at 35 and have never had any symptoms I am guessing a bit. But I am 61 years old... so it seems like a safe guess
I have been using Coconut oil and it is helpful, I would imagine that it could be called a barrier cream.2 -

Kim, I'm not the biggest fan of Vaseline but it's thick enough to stay on for a while w/o having to reapply every time I use the bathroom. Same w A & D ointment. After a few days the tissues would heal. And no problemo. I read somewhere ladies have used coconut oil w good results.
Good luck.

Karen-congratulations on that beautiful girl!
BananasandOranges-good to hear from you, I've been wondering where you were. Like others have sai, they are starting to recommend older folks don't go all the way to the low end of the BMI range. I'm staying at around 23.5 and feel good there. Of course, it's individual choice.
Got a lot of little things done today that I have been putting off-papers organized, cleaned out the tool box (I had just been throwing stuff into it), put summer clothes into storage container under bed instead of keeping in closet. While I am the only one that would notice the progress, it feels good.
Only did pt once today. Was sore Friday after two sessions and yesterday morning got some more discomfort in knee area. It eased off as day went on. Some minor discomfort today (but not as much as yesterday). Will see if two seems like a good idea tomorrow.
Oh-and I signed up for Medicare today (I think A and . Not sure that B is needed but it was talking about penalties, etc., so went ahead.
Time change is catching up with me so going to head in a read for a bit.
Take care all,

I'm so sorry, Kim.
In addition to trying to cut out sugar, you might try to find a generic over-the-counter Monistat. They are sometimes quite affordable, and it may give you the kick you need to start healing.
And I agree with you about artificial sweeteners. I would rather go without completely than eat something "sugar free." Blech!

Did Leslie Sanson’s Walk Away The Pounds Step and Kick DVD. The plan for tomorrow is to do one segment of a 10MS Fitness Ball DVD and then take the extremepump class.
Barbara – there’s a petition (I signed it) to do away with DST at change.org. I know from Vince that once you sign one of their petitions, they send you a lot of emails. I’d love to do away with DST. It’s a real pain in the lower back side. I REALLY grease my bundt cake pans, but a few times cakes have stuck. When we lived in Kennett Square they always had a big mushroom festival. Well, Kennett Square is the mushroom capital of the world. If you go into a supermarket, you’ll find that a lot if not all of the mushrooms are from Kennett Square. The first time I ever smelled the air when they were turning over the soil, I swear I thought there was something wrong with our septic! Glad you had a good time
Beth – oh, yes, I HEAVILY greased the pan. It was a tunnel of fudge cake. Letting it cool in the pan for 3 hours, I only had to run the knife around the edge and it came out of the pan in one piece, thank goodness.
Karen – congrats!!! Lilliana is so adorable
Well, we cut the solar cover today. Tuesday we’ll probably tweak it some and put it on the rollers
Kim and Flea – I’m so with you. Keep the artificial sweeteners. Give me a little of the real stuff or give me nothing. Besides, the artificial sweeteners were made in a lab and aren’t good for your stomach.

I'm afraid if my parents sent me a letter like that, it would drive a wedge between us and I would be torn between never contacting them again (or not for a very long time) ... and firing back with an "I've got my own life" email. It wouldn't be a good thing.
Fortunately, they never did that. My mother continued to send chatty letters about once a month, even though I went through a period of time in my early 20s when I didn't contact my parents very much. Sometimes young adults need time and space to become their own people. Then in my 30s I started communicating with them again quite regularly.
Take this time to focus on YOU! You don't have to take care of others now, so think about things you'd like to do.
Maybe a community class on photography, baking, crafts, archery ...
Maybe training for the local half marathon or a cycling event ...
Maybe volunteering ...
Whatever interest you.
But ... you know your family ...
Is your son on FB, Instagram, Twitter etc.?
