JR decided we needed an audience for our work out. So the side lines of our walking circle had bleachers full to the brim lol 😂.
To be inside this kids head must be a hoot.
Dinner - Thinking a can of soup 🥣 but not sure. Guess I can eat the soup if hungry later some egg whites with toast. Ran out of spinach Hubby just bought me a giant SamsClub container already blew through it.

Busy day and off the grid. First chance to log in today.Lanette - I think I am through, but as I had an ablation at 35 and have never had any symptoms I am guessing a bit. But I am 61 years old... so it seems like a safe guess
I have been using Coconut oil and it is helpful, I would imagine that it could be called a barrier cream.
I use Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oill. Great for cuts and abrasions too!

I often climb up and down the stairs of my office building ... especially on days like that where I eat more.

Hello everyone, this is a very active and diverse group and I love it.
My name is Vicki from southern WI. I have been logging into MFP for 36 days and have lost 15 lbs.
SW 308 (I started by myself before finding MFP)
CW 285
Goal for the rest of Nov is 5 lbs
Long term goal: 195, then reassess to see how I feel.
I'm 54 yo.
I try to eat lower carbs. I feel better and seem to lose weight easier b/c I'm not so hungry.
I have been walking daily on the treadmill for about 3 weeks at the fitness center at my work and on the weekends I try to walk outside if not too cold or do yard work if not too snowy. It's been very, very cold here for fall.
I am looking forward to logging in daily to connect with all of you,

Janetr - I'm so glad you had a great 70th birthday. We are so close in age. You are obviously very loved by your family. Isn't it a blessing.
Very few people at Swing dancing tonight as it is Guy Fawkes Night in the UK. I thought it was great as we got a lot done with fewer people, but DH got lost with more moves to follow. He just panics! I think he is just lacking in confidence.
We enjoyed the Iranian restaurant, as always, but it is not a cheap eat. I did like observing the groups of young women eating there. They were of Middle Eastern origin, and there was one dominant girl in each. Obviously it was a safe place for them to meet up as a female group. Very fashionably dressed. All in similar style. All really enjoying themselves. This was very early evening.
People watching is such fun!
Got home to watch the new Rick Stein series on French cuisine. As most of you know, I think I am a French person somehow born in the wrong country, so I enjoyed it. Feeds my nostalgia most horribly though. I must get to France soon. I feel the ache.

I LOVE my standing desk. I know it's not the answer to everything, but my hips are so much happier when I am standing and moving around while I work. Additionally, my office is on the 5th floor, and I am elevator phobic, so I do a lot of stairs in the course of a normal day. And I work on a vertical campus. My office is mid-way up the hill, so if I park at the bottom of the hill, I walk part way up the hill to my office building, then climb five flights of stairs. If I park at the top of the hill, I hike down to my building.

Keto advice from 3rd cousin I’m dieting with my support buddy besides our spouse
What I want to try prepares meal wise. I use a big Tupperware stick meats, sectional one for other stuff,a few normal size ones for other stuff then measure it out. If going somewhere can use one just measure 1 meal portion in 1-3 TupperwareAmber Tx1 -

Hello everyone.
I am finally catching up with this season's Super Soul Sunday. The September 22nd show is an interview with Dr. Dean and Anne Ornish. Dr. Ornish has made it his life's work to study how simple lifestyle changes and the effects upon health. They are discussing their book "Undo It! How Simple Lifestyle Changes Can Reverse Most Chronic Diseases". The book discusses many of the topics and goals we discuss here.
I am adding it to my book list.1 -
Janetr: Hugs and sympathy on the loss of your sister. I'm glad you had a fun birthday with lots of family around. You make 70 look good. 👏👏👏

I think it probably says ABOUT 2 servings, does it not? And yes, the way they make the light version light is to add more broth and more veggies. I love it!

Hi all: Have had a good day here. Went to the YM this morning and did water exercise and some laps. Have just started doing some laps again. Saw the pulmonologist yesterday. Breathing test was good. He says inflammation is minimal and not too much scarring, lots of good healthy lung tissue. Glad for that. The cold air in the mornings and evenings when feeding the outdoor critters has been making me cough. Had a bad eating day yesterday but much better today.
Machka - That bite looks nasty. Glad you have seen doctor.
Karen - Congrats on Lilliana Belle. Love her name.
Kelly - Glad Joaquin has decided he likes his little brother. Cute pic.
Janetr - Sorry about your sister but glad you were able to enjoy your birthday.
Ginny - Happy birthday!
Lisa - How are you doing with the alligator lopper? Are you able to handle it with some ease? I have been considering a baby chain saw but the lopper looks like it might be safer. Most of our power tools are battery operated Ryobi so they all use the same batteries. I have a hard time starting gas tools.
Welcome to all who are new.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA4 -

Sigh. Still fighting to resist the cookies. I start out fine, but just crave that hit of sugar by mid-afternoon. Tomorrow is another battle.3

So. Been feeling the thoughts of my old ways rolling around in my head. Feeling a little discouraged. I have been with MFP for 9 weeks now. I log my diary every day. Following my specific diet without slipping. Yet here I am only 15 lbs down. Is this normal? I know I should be ok with it. At least I am down something.
Rant done.
I hope everyone is having a fabulous day.
Much love to all.3 -
JanetR-Happy Birthday! Didn't realize we shared the date.
Kelligifford88-15 pounds in 9 weeks is a pretty darned good weight loss. From what I have read on here, unless you have a really significant amount to lose, 1 pound a week is very good. It took me time to put on my weight so makes sense I wouldn't lose it overnight. Keep doing what you have been doing-it's working.
Thanks for birthday wishes. Quiet day, which is what I like. Heard from all children. Son and DIL sent me several pairs of fuzzy Christmas socks. They often don't know what to get me (since I don't have much of a problem buying what I want or need!), but somethings I won't buy--like the socks. I'll look at them, I'll buy them for others, but not for myself.
Had a 25 minute walk at lunch. Leg pretty much behaved (although not 100%). Physical therapy went well-they are noticing improvement in flexibility. Thursday we work on strength. Hopefully back on track.
Had an old rather large ottoman in the basement that has been of no use for several years. Cats sleep on it so it is covered with hair and nasty. Didn't want to set it at curb for trash due to size. Took it apart-put cover and foam in a plastic bag, broke the frame up and the whole thing is in a trashcan at the curb. Been wanting to get rid of the things for several years. Next week, an old upholstered chair that the cats have shredded over the years gets the same treatment. Just continuing decluttering and it feels good.
Take care all,

Starting over -again - November is a new month and new chance to set goals. I am going to log everything. I am a terrible cheater when it comes to logging. It’s silly to lie to yourself. I also want to drink more water. I struggle with water intake. My weight goal for the month of November is to weigh less on the 30th than I do today. Just trying to be realistic. Dieting over 50 and in peri-menopause is tough!

15 lbs in 9 weeks is really fast. "Normal" might be 1 lb/week.3 -
Challenges ... if challenges appeal to you, don't forget about MFP's Challenges subforum:
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/categories/challenges
Pretty much the same as last month ... aside from exercise, this month will include ...
-- work ... I've got several projects I should try to finish or get on top of by the end of the month.
-- university ... I start my next course on Nov 11. It's a spring/summer course and entirely online so I'm curious how it will go. Later in November, I need to enroll in my course Semester 1 courses.
-- cycling club ... I have a lot of work to do in this area!!
-- website ... lots of work to do and start attending Wordpress meetings again.
-- husband ... becoming more involved with our local brain injury association.
-- medical ... attending a whole pile of different physio appointments and other medical appointments. There is not a single week without a medical appointment of some sort.
-- and continuing to organise things at home. I've been working on this for a while now, but especially since I wrote my exam on Tuesday!!
Machka in Oz
Physical - Exercise, Eating, Sleeping -- exercise every day or just about. Eating ... could be better. Sleeping ... not bad now that I've got my cocoon of silence.
Work -- working on instructions these days, but I see emails starting to come in about other projects. They'll be for next week, I think.
Uni -- I've downloaded the initial information for my new course. Will need to acquire a textbook. And I've enrolled in the remaining courses for my Master's degree.
Cycling Club -- I'm focusing on this right now. Several things to do!!
Website -- must look at it one evening this week. I've got a Wordpress meeting on Saturday.
Husband -- we're going to a Brain Injury forum next Monday. Plus his BPPV flared up again this week, so we've had that treated. If you are having trouble with dizziness and balance, this is a great site with lots of information: https://vestibular.org/
Medical/Health -- I have a complete physical booked for next Friday, but had to go into a Dr early because of the spider bite. It is starting to fade a little, I think, but the medication makes me a bit nauseated. I have several other things I need to book - probably next most important is dental for my broken tooth.
Organisation -- first the cycling club stuff ... then I'll have to wade into more organisation stuff.
Recreation -- exercise, entertainment (symphony, plays), and photography are usually my recreation, but I'm starting to think ahead to time off over Christmas and travel.
Now it's lunch and I have a number of errands to run.

Okie-Yes 2 servings 160cal total half would be 80cal but the can says 70cal because someone failed math wrote the label lol 😂. I just finagled the soup on here to show 80 not 70 per serving because it has 160 written in more places...wish it was 70cal but doubt it had obvious globs of cream of chicken in it.
For late snack 2-78cal boiled 🥚 eggs,2 -70 cal wheat toasts,y 70cal worth if mixed jelly. Filling since the soup wasn’t at all. With a Gatorade zero

Not attending a gym from Oct 16-30th has its drawbacks! 3 days in and my arm muscles are so sore. Aack! I do like the feeling right after, warm from the sauna and tingly! I makes me think of when I was in the ski club in high school. The bus ride home every muscle spent, and still on the activity endorphin high. I shall acclimate once again. Its nice to have a scheduled life somewhat. Going to the gym is one of those things I don't ponder if I should go or not. I (or we) just go.👍.
Tonight I treated my guys and made fried rice, sauteed zucchini and green onions in a light teriyaki sauce, and hot Korean bbq sauce blackened chicken. They are both happily teary eyed and sniffing! I will have the zucchini, and a salad.
Thanks for all your input regarding my Navy sons non communication. I will do nothing but send cards and letters and keep my door open. A little stern words here and there. We have always had such a great relationship. I need to acclimate, adjust and adapt to this change. I keep telling him he is loved and appreciated. Here's him last year before he headed over to Japan.💖
Hugs to my favorite band of ladies!

Falling further and further behind in my reading. I'm on page 5 while there are 17 pages posted already...and I leave for a week in Michigan (brrrr) in a couple of days. Hope everyone is doing well and staying warm! It was warmer here today. My poor body will not know what happened when I arrive in Michigan (which is about 30 degrees F lower than home).
Barbie and KJ Thank you for always keeping us up to date!
Ginny So sorry you are having trouble with the with the muscle and knee pain! So frustrating when you are trying to get through PT and keeping active! Reading further…just saw about the wire. Hope that you don’t need surgery. I also just read that today is your birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! (I am still on Saturday entries…will I ever catch up?
Viv Hope your sister in law does okay with the treatments and has full recovery! Also, sorry to hear about the other person’s cancer Dx. Is that another sister…or a friend?
Karen So sorry about your fur baby!
Kate Sorry you lost your Mom’s key ring. So hard when we lose things we can’t replace! I have been without my Momma the same number of years…feels like forever. Miss her SO much. Especially hard during the holidays!
Rebecca Great photos!! Love when family is around!
