I'm in a similar boat. I'm 40 and am at my highest weight ever apart from when I was postpartum. Do you have a specific plan for your weight loss? I'm starting with significantly reducing sugar and sadly, wine.1 -

Wait, you are still counting UP? Like they say, "You're doing it wrong." You have to start counting back down after 50 or 55. Either that or just stay 36. Didn't you get the memo with your AARP card? I wonder if there's a market to provide fake IDs to people who want to prove they don't qualify for a discount.
50ish ends when you get back down to upper 30s. You've got plenty of time.2 -

The age limit is not strictly enforced here, Tony. I'm north of 50 (way north ) , but I don't act like it. I say, "Hang out here if you like it".4 -
perhaps it can be those who identify as 30s, 40s, 50s? The 30's decade age wasn't a problem for me; we'll see how the 40's go. I'm really hoping that this decade will prove to be way better than the 2 preceding it all the way around!2

50 this year and been lifting heavy for nearly a year now, loving it 😊1 -
I went scuba diving today.
The first dive was too deep for me, due to my PFO. The second was a nice relaxing drift dive. It lasted 45 minutes at 12 metres. Visibility was poor - 10 centimetres to 1 metre. Water temperature was 8 Celsius.
I had a new undersuit for my drysuit. It was toasty - I really recommend it (a Quark Navy.)

I’m new to participating in on line support. After reading the postings, I feel like I’ve found people I can relate to! I’m 57 and I’ve lost 30 lbs in the last year. I’m maintaining my current weight. So far I’ve Learned weight loss and fitness takes planning, motivation and an attitude change.
I would like to connect with other people who are working on weight loss and increasing exercise activities.

Late 30s. I was feeling pretty good until I saw some pics from a party on the weekend. What the heck was that angle of my booty?
I've been struggling lately with hormonal issues. My doctor suggested intermittent fasting. I'm in physio for chronic headaches.
It seems my 30s have been a decade of discovery and plenty of effort toward good health, but a lot of setbacks, as well.
I'm working on yoga for the time being. That and a focus on stress relief.
And that was a lot. Ha!

41 going on 19.. mentally the body is resisting much more since 40!
ex footballer (soccer) for the best part of 30 years so hips and knees often don't go where I want them too,
I joined a gym in 2009 and been going 3-5 times a week since,
food is a passion and been vegan for the last month, had some stomach issues / a heart scare so changed the fuel to more wholesome and less pizza

I've never really enjoyed working out - although I like walking and swimming - I like wine and cocktails on the beach which is why I now have around 70lbs to lose!

Good Monday-after-the-holidays morning! Though I was at work Thursday and Friday last week, today is when everyone is back and we start that long haul from January through May till my vacation
My mini-goal right for the last 6 months has been to get back to 100 lbs lost, then to get back to the lowest weight I was 2 years ago, which in all has been to lose about 25 lbs. It's been a really tough uphill battle, but I finally started losing again in May, though its been a really slow, ratcheting process - up one week, down the next. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday were really good days - I stayed under my calorie limit, and yesterday I was still decently under maintenance even if I was over my limit. The scale this morning read 0.1 lbs away from that 100 lb mark! Thursdays are my official check in days, so I'm trying really hard to behave myself today, tomorrow, and Wednesday to hopefully finally reach that elusive goal point!1 -
I don't like waking up to an alarm but I do like having accomplished more already today than I have all winter break.
Happy first Monday of 2020. Back to reality for many, including my family. Back to curling for me!!!!!2 -
