@TheMrWobbly the one at my gym is a Fit3D body scanner. You can maybe see if there are any around you here
@polskagirl01 that is weird, but I wonder if they are bots. I think also if you are part of clubs through Strava people also in the club can see your recent activities through there, even if they aren't your followers. Maybe that's true if you join challenges as well?3 -

Thanks @katharmonic and it turns out there is one literally down the road from me and I walk past their building most days. I will have to wait until it is a little cheaper than the current £50.0

Cloudy, high 20s F and a light east wind today. Footing was dicey - light snow on top of ice in a lot of places.
I even say evidence in the snow where someone had slipped and fallen on one of the wooden footbridges.
My hips don't lie - they don't like it when it's slippery.
Next year when you pop in here claiming your December 2020 mileage, what accomplishments will you have made?
Return to a good running weight of 175 lbs
Run at least 4 5k races

Average at least 138k per month, to meet my Run the Year pledge of 1,020 miles

did 2 miles. i felt very comfortable after the first half. felt like i was running with the wind. thought i might get under 11 min miles. old girl came with me. she attracts a lot of attention. she almost managed to steal someone's pizza. they thought she was jumping up for pets. she made a pass for the box of pizza. and when i got back. i was barely under 12min. oh well, i blame my volume. but i hope i can continue to feel that strong
Speed Demon was very upset. at first, she thought i was going to make her go and started shaking(typical), then Old Girl and i headed down the driveway and i could hear her crying. when we came back i got the sad eyes.
What can i say. Speed Demon is complicated.I didn't want to go but why didn't you take me?

They aren't followers though. When I click to see the kudos, my followers are at the top, and these people are below that under "other athletes", giving me the option to follow them. I only have about 13 followers, and no one is missing Probably bots because they're so similar but still, shouldn't be seeing my followers-only workouts. I was under the impression that even MFP group members can't see my races that I change to "public".1 -

@mbaker566 - Love their faces! Once in a while Hobbes will hide when I get ready to run and won't come when called so I figure he doesn't want to come with me. I get those sad eyes when I get back, too - like how dare you ran without me! He would also totally do the jump up for pets, steal your pizza trick!3

@polskagirl01 Funny you mention that, I had the same thing happen to me a few days ago. I don't even have any followers. Like you, they were two girls giving kudos. I just went and looked and now they are no longer in my feed. Hmm. Must be bots.

8 miles today. Also getting the miles in first part of the week, as I probably will only do a short easy one tomorrow and rest on Friday for the race on Sat.

I ran 2 miles today in the snow! We had a winter storm come through last night. It was mostly sleet overnight and of course the whole town is basically shut down so I had an unexpected day off work. They actually announced last night that schools and lots of businesses would be closed today. I wasn't going to run because I was worried about it being slippery. But around 10 this morning it started snowing big, pretty flakes and I decided that I would go ahead and get at least a short run in. I have been running for a little over three years and this was the first time I have had the opportunity to run in snow. We just don't get snow very often. I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I was a even a little overdressed for it. Although when I stepped off the curb I stepped into a puddle so my right foot was wet the whole time and by the end of the run both my feet were wet so they were cold, but all in all it was a great run and I did feel like a badass.

Today just felt like a perfect run. I don't know why, because I wasn't particularly fast and it wasn't particularly easy and it was pretty cold. I think I was just happy to be home.9 -

I thought so, too. But MFP club members said they didn't see my race that I made "public". I have everything else set to "followers only" (including the posts I'm complaining about).You can see where it has the privacy notice, right above a kudo from mystery dating-site bot-girl.@hamsterwheel6 I guess it's not just me1 -
My running goals for 2020 are to build up endurance and speed while staying healthy. Strength goal - lose body fat and gain some muscle and work on flexibility.
February goal : 60 miles
Race: Cap 10K in April
Date/Distance:
2/1 - Yoga/strength day
2/2 – 7.1 miles
2/3 – Slow Flow Yoga
2/4 – 4.2 miles
2/5 – Walked 1.5 miles, Strength Circuit
Monthly total – 12.8 miles
Did the dreadmill as a warm up for my strength workout. Rolled my hip flexor and sacrum….trying to work through the issue. Chiropractor told me to maybe run shorter distances. Hmmmm they seem pretty short to me lol. And I am not doing speed work. Hoping it just goes away.😑

Caught a break in the rain this morning. The temp was a nice 55F. I started off with my rain jacket on because it was pouring rain about 2 minutes before we started but I ended up shedding the jacket and running in short sleeves after a couple of miles. Went to a much needed stretch class at lunch.

Oh hey, missed this earlier! I think I'd noticed a bit ago that you were doing those two as well - want to try and meet up for a MFP photoshoot before one of them? Are you doing the Hot Dash 5k or 10 mile? I really hope I wasn't being overly optimistic when I signed up for the 10 mile...0 -
I know I said I'd stay on the treadmill until it hit 15 miles today, but I lied. I kept my running pace between 11:32 and 11:19 for 9 minute intervals, with 1 minute of walking in between. I also glanced at my Fitbit for some heart rate data each time I walked, in an effort to select the more appropriate of those 2 treadmill speed settings. That lasted for 2 hours, and then everything said "nope." There does seem to be some correlation with heart rate approaching 180, but I'd feel more confident about that if my breathing felt harder, too. I didn't actually talk out loud to myself, to test - but I'll try to remember to do that, too, next time. I don't think my legs are ready for these runs, either. Just a general heaviness. I'm heavier than the last time I did this, too. This "getting old" crap sucks.
My knees were really loud this morning, crackling as I walked up the stairs. I wanted to record it, but I was running late for work. Really loud.
Anyway, that was 10 miles today.

I've been making excuses lately, especially that it's too cold to take the baby outside and run. But I snapped out of it remembering that I grew up playing in snow and it didn't kill me... So I'm going to bundle him up and go out today and be happy and thank the good Lord. I did yesterday and I felt better afterwards... Little guy has a tendency to strip off clothes on the journey... socks, gloves... so it's footed pajamas and mittens and a check periodically to make sure he is still dressed. His hands are like little icicles without gloves and I cannot tell you how many times I've backtracked to look for thrown socks. It's always fun. 🤣
Yesterday I got 3.2 with him and 3.2 after hubby got home. I ran 9.6 on Sunday when I was supposed to run 13 (no good excuse) and I did not run at all on Monday so...I'm going to make up for it this week, which is 6.4 miles to catch up on. Brother-in-law flies in next Thursday. Getting close...9 -
Got out for a short little run to see how my legs would feel. They were not happy and complained the entire time, more when I was walking than running. My knee did ok with one period of strange burning type pain. I think I need to ice it again. Also the guy came and fitted me for my brace so that should be interesting.

@autumnblade75 My knees creak when going up the stairs too. It's really pretty funny. They don't hurt though, so I'm thankful for that.
I played tennis this morning and then came home and did a 2 mile run on the treadmill because I didn't feel like I got much cardio at tennis. I did a warm up walk, then a slow, easy mile and then pushed it to see how fast I could do the second mile. I did it in 10:15 min, which is really good for me. I felt fine afterwards, so could have probably gone a little faster. Finished with a nice cool down walk.

Ran 3.1 miles at the park after work in 45 degree weather. A bit cold for Houston but colder weather expected tomorrow. I realize many of you are dealing with actual cold weather instead of what seems cold here. I borrowed a hoodie from my husband’s dresser since I don’t have a suitable jacket for running. I warmed up after 2 miles and was able to “unhood” myself for the last mile.10
