It is chilly here in NW WA so the dogs and I bundled up in the morning for our usual long walk. We went out early enough to enjoy the moon in the clear dark sky and later in the clear daylight sky. I bundled up again after a shower and clean clothes to walk with a friend. This afternoon I bundled up a little less to walk the dogs again.
I did my Cologuard test today and it's ready to take to UPS first thing tomorrow morning.

HEATHER Love the pics of the party
AMBER Love your attitude and you are so right we will survive
I am not eating properly and haven't exercised for couple of days. DH has had heavy cold and bad chest for well over a week, no dry cough or temperature. He has been sleeping all the time. I suggested he try to see doc tomorrow but no😱😱
Still trying to get trip cancelled, airline still not following all the others even though FCO have advised against all but essential travel to Spain
So I'm stress eating
Stay healthy and safe

Tina CA – I bought extra milk. I figure I’ll make yogurt and put it in the freezer! Thank goodness for the freezer!
I never thought of bleach. We have a few bottles, keep it for use for the pool
I don’t mind the restaurants being closed. But the bars…..now THAT’S a different story
Amber – I was basically raised by my grandmother who raised her children during the depression. A while ago I read a book called “200 Ways to Save the Earth” and I couldn’t help constantly saying “my grandmother did this. My grandmother did that”
Surprisingly, the gal from senior bowling hasn’t called to say that it’s cancelled. I would have thought if anyone cancelled, they would. Oh well…we’re tough…..

Minnesota closed there schools as of Wednesday for a couple of weeks so they can make changes that will hope to make a cleaner safer environment during this time.
Making this so that we have a gradual influx of the difficult cases is the goal. This is our real challenge.
Amber your description about what is happening is exactly why I have decided to make a conscious effort to find ways to be kind and finds ways to have positve encounters and keep social distance. I had a wonderful encounter today on my walk. I keep the social distance and had a wonderful talk with a young woman with her pet chocolate lab. Her job is to work with families to prevent child abuse. So yes we can be the social beings we are meant to be. I sent her a Kindergarten hug. She said that is one of her biggest challenges is to show she cares without hugs or touching. We both walked away feeling touched without touching.

So here's what I'm working on at home ...
My first assignment for one of my classes asks us to clarify the definitions of 'utopian' and 'dystopian' and use them to describe the impacts of social media on humanity.
We have to use research to do this, all appropriately cited of course so I won't be using any of your comments ... but particularly in light of current issues, what are your thoughts?
Does social media have a 'utopian' impact on humanity or a 'dystopian' impact?
I may present the topic of my second assignment on Monday.

Based on current social media output? Dystopian!2 -
Have you heard about #SunshineSongs on Twitter? Laura Benanti invited students whose springtime musicals and performances have been cancelled to post videos under the hashtag Sunshine Songs of their dress rehearsals or home renditions and she has had thousands of responses. Here is a girl named Grace:

Thank you Machka!Looks like sneezing isn't a symptom even though that's the rumor going around here "sneeze into your elbow" and "stay away from sneezing people", lol. I double checked with online info from our state DOH which matches your list from WHO.
Update... Just found an other document on our DOH website that says "cover your sneezes" leading people -me - to believe sneezing is a symptom. I will be making some calls tomorrow.
Lanette (who sneezes and sniffles thanks to allergies and doesn't want to get banned from Walmart, lol.)

For a good laugh. My favorite part of this video the millennial Father spraying his son down with Clorox bleach spray as he leaves his high school. Lol 😂 poor kid. If this is your grandkid...rescue him from his Dad lol 😂. Be careful they’ll hunt us down with spray next too lol cause we went to our Domino train group lol 😂. (I miss my dominos train group we were a rowdy bunch of Gals but no kids allowed I can’t leave JR).

The social media texts portray a utopian world with exotic vacations and lovely meals. The suffering part of life doesn't show up much in my friends' posts. Except now that I think about it, one friend has ads against domestic abuse. But mostly people portray their own lives as utopian on Facebook. This forum has more struggles so it is more dystopian. But is this forum social media? I guess so. Hope that sparks some thoughts.

Well, they just closed the rest of the park. They are letting the hosts stay. So safe here. Far from everyone! Schools, parks, bars, and restaurants. Hope grocery stores aren’t next!

Finished assignment. Heading into town by bus. Was going to drive but when we drove in yesterday to look for free parking opportunities the van started acting up so we took it to the shop before catching the bus.

So I have managed 200g weight loss in 5 days. I am afraid I am an old skeptic - and think its probably the difference between a good bowel motion and not...but overall I am feeling a bit more in control.
I finish being a psychology lab rat on next Monday so need to start using that time to be more active.
So this week's goals- Keep eating to calories
- Improve the quality of my choices (AKA need more vegetables)
- Do my exercise minimum
- Keep walking on past temptation!

I've dropped some weight in the last few days but I think that's just stress. Work, university, van problems, dental problems.
I don't eat when I'm stressed.

Hubby got lucky. Since family members couldn’t find food were older more kids we gave them almost all our food. Hubby went to the store the workers searched y him he managed to get enough for a few weeks again. Opened boxes y crushed they took scraps on the deli cutting board tossed it in packaging so I can make bone broth soups. So kind of them! Luckily the few items that are Picky JRs favs no one touched lol 😂. They taste that bad but he lives them got 8 each of those. A few loads of bread for sandwiches 🥪. We can rest knowing the whole family has a few weeks worth to a months for the elderly ones.
