Terri: We have had smokey air in past years and that was from fires in Canada and many US states. I hope the dust cloud from Africa doesn’t come here. It looked like it might hit the states near the gulf of Mexico & maybe midwest. We have friends and family that may be affected. I hope they will be safe.

The dust from Africa is on TV news right now. It reminded me of the poor air quality when there were fires in past years.🙈

Son and I went to Culver's after a walk in a Nature Center. The person ahead of us paid for part of our meal. Made my day!

Pip- Wonderful news!! Glad to hear it came back negative will pray it stays that way.

Michele- Don’t know why the Navy won’t tell them. They stuck a sign on her door saying no one can enter Covid yet won’t move her roommate or test her. I have no clue I wish we knew for piece of mind especially mine I’m going nuts from it looking at old baby pics crying. Hubby being gone I’m crumbling,so hubby cutting his Buisness trip short leaving at 3am tomorrow to get home sooner.

Cute old pics I dug up. Don’t be surprised before virtiligo robbed me of my skin color I was brown Daughter too like hubby. I was Daughters age in the pics of my youth. Got my latest weight loss pic added in!! Green shirt me now. Daughter far left of pics y one far right our cousin who also in lockdown for COVID-19 (his roommate best friend has it).
Between them our other cousin. Hubby y JR my Emilio’s (JR came out my moms skin color but gots virtiligo y eczema so he’s have skin color changing issues noticing it worsening with time). Lol one pic got hand on my hip I tried a 1 day hair dye it wouldn’t come out (in my 20’s lasted for months!) later found out a simple dip in a hot tub it’s out. Me holding Daughter at 4days old I bled 11months after having her anemia city! Look at her grumpy face lol 😂 finger raised ready to make a point. She was an expressive little thing like JR. His recent pics lol he gets into his moods doesn’t he.

Reward: inventory seeds, plan fall cool season garden, order replenishments.

Kim saw a bit of the Pleasanton Highland Games on PBS this morning. Have you been? bagpipes and men in kilts
Machka Great news about your husband’s surgery. So glad the anesthesiologist was “on it”. One of our fire department volunteers travels the world fixing things, and was in New Zealand when it locked down. Sad to hear we might not have him here to keep our rigs going for this fire season
Viv yes one of the downsides to living in this beautiful place is that it is so remote from the services of the more densely populated areas, a price we’re willing to pay. In this pandemic, our sparse population is another source of gratitude, so far this year we have had only 7 cases and no deaths. Holding good thoughts for the vet appointments.
    Luci safe travels.
Lisa what a fragrant anniversary gift. Can’t wait to see pics, wish we had “smell-o-vision” Wish there was a device, like that which keeps deep divers from getting the bends, to forestall the barometric pressure migraines. Inventors/investors are you listening? Your mother was not happy about pigs in the living room? Imagine that!
Pip EEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! 2 weeks’ notice. EEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Oops update see not yet. So glad Kirby’s test was negative. Quarantining him at home would have put quite a damper on your open house.
Michele Asking Jess to teach you how to use chopsticks sounds like a fun bonding activity. I’d love to see a video . . .
Katla neither am I a huge boxwood fan. Would much rather see something ornamental, scented or useful. Alas espaliered dwarf fruit trees look like heck in the winter. Is it a very long hedge? “Things can go my way more often when I don't quit early. “ Truth that!
Barbie, Kay, Debbie weight creep due to lack of logging honesty and activity classes, have been an issue here too, but started improving 4 days ago when I approached an annual high mark. Like Tracey my clothes are uncomfortably snug. Headed back in the right direction with the logging and Zoom BB&B.
Welcome @agnesFerniot, @RockinMBC Melanie from Vegas. I have osteoporosis too, and take alendronate (generic Fosamax) weekly. Have you considered any weight training?
Allie Brava! You have done so well for Faith, a hospital bed AND professional care on the weekends. It will be good for your brother and SIL to have a neutral 3rd party’s “take” on Faith’s condition. Hope the gout pain eases soon.
Vicki in NE $495 for a biopsy and no relief of your hives? :noway: Hope you can hire more than just one replacement.
Karen in VA why is it that our dogs don’t scare the squirrels away? Going to Kroger for your spouse’s chocolate ice cream, now that is true love.
Debbie in Napa “triplets”? Let me know what you find that does help with the bicycle butt pain. Beautiful child-bride! that you’ve kept your hair long. Me 2.  You and I are about the same size. I was 4’11”/95 lbs in college, but 125 when I married at 35 and range between 143-147 now that I’ve shrunk to 4’10. :p Happy birthday to your mom.
Julie “it's taking on its own life and I can most definitely step back.” Brava. Enjoy your well-deserved respite.
Beth Bravo to your husband for taking your landscaper aside.
Michele, Brava. Vince doesn’t realize how lucky he is to have a generous spouse. Mama taught me to tip well as she had worked as a waitress once and, like Beth’s husband, wouldn’t want to do as was done to her. Good luck back at the gym.
Rori so glad you were able to get back to the community pool, even without the laps.
Terri your husband has his own cement mixer ?!?
Amber I’d love to see a pic of that cherry pitter/garlic press 
SuziQ yes we are tracked wherever we go with our cell phones, because we call and text. Like you I shrug and say let them be bored. BUT I do not use my cell phone to pay for anything, neither do I use any wireless device to pay. I do bank on line through my laptop, but only with the wireless radio turned off and connected via Ethernet. Just call me an old fogy. As for the poop, long ago I was not diligent about picking up in our apartment’s shared back yard. Another neighbor left me a “present” on the door mat that had been left on his. Not only did I get better at pickup, but actually built a little fence and gate separating “my” area from his.
Melanie in LV, what kind of pup is Ms Moneypenny? Sending comforting, healing vibes.
Heather loved hearing about your afternoon with the grands. Great pic too. Our ocean is way too cold for me to swim in, but some do, surf, windsurf, kayak and paddleboard. What is a mezze meal? Ah I see the list, which did you select?
Lanette what’s with the new profile pic? Fun book title quiz. Was able to get all but 3, 4 and 18 on my first stab, then a little more thought gave me 3.

Successful but exhausting trip yesterday. More tomorrow.

Cherry pitter on a garlic press. Yeah doesn’t remove any seeds but opens a whole up so I can push it out easily.

    Thanks Barbara-
Yes triplets- They started coming here just before they turned 3 months old and were so tiny/preemie- 3lb3oz, 3lb5oz and 4lbs at birth. Identical boys and a girl. I had them until just a year and a half ago when the mom decided to stay home- 55 hours a week for 6 yrs. I miss them. I had them more of their awake hours than their parents did.
I was 21 when I got married the first time. Graduated from college one weekend and the following weekend, got married, moved from my parents house, and moved back to Mobile,AL where husband was stationed.
My hair is so naturally curly(the wedding picture I actually set in on rollers to get waves- back before I knew how to let it go natural/before I had products to put on it). Now I wish it would grow longer but it doesn't.
I say I am about 5' but haven't actually measured in years. I know I will shrink- both parents have osteoporosis and have shrunk, dad shrinking more than mom. I don't mind. I have always liked being short.

I will let you know if the biker shorts help. I added the extra gel seat. My cousin who used to manage a few bikes shops told me to try the shorts and tough it out- i will get used to it.

Friday -- chilly but reasonably nice, although drizzle has started again. We went for a slow, short stroll at a flat beach in our local area. My husband's specialist said that non-strenuous walking was a good idea ... and now my husband is having a nap.

    Distance; 2.46km
    Elevation: 0m
    Moving Time: 36:45
    Elapsed Time: 39:17

Barbara - The mezze is the whole thing. You just get a bit of everything. :o I imagine the pots are small, but I have no idea. We can always have left overs for lunch the next day. She is delivering two meals to our door at 6 pm.
I like cooking, but I would not have the energy to cook more than a few of those things. Nice to have the variety.
When we lived in London and went out for mezze we always ended up so stuffed we could hardly walk! :D
It's a friend of a friend of my DDIL who is just starting out and doing it every other Saturday.

Barbara Visits to vet - mums cat is in reasonable health a little underweight, vet gave him a wormer and flea treatment and said to spray her carpets. Our poor Logan is quite poorly, he has a mass on his spleen, he's booked in for an ultra sound for further investigation before deciding on treatment. Now we are wishing we had got him to the vet earlier. We've been thinking about it for a week, but waiting to see if he got better on his own. Many has been the time we have rushed a cat to the vet only to be told it's an infection/virus/nothing wrong etc. so now we wait a while, before making an appointment.

Had a lovely picnic with a few of my friends yesterday afternoon at Bishopthorpe Marina. We found a shady spot under some trees and had a great time catching up. As a few of you have already said, it's so much better to see friends in real life rather than on the screen. Certainly renewed my spirit! We must have looked a bit funny to anybody watching as at one point Cindy was showing me how to do some exercises for my back. I was struggling to straighten up (I've bought an online dancing course and done too much too soon and think I must have strained my back) As Joan said the girls showing you what to do and moving fast are half my age :D I need to go a bit slower. Cindy's exercises eased it a little, so I didn't care if anyone was watching :)>:)

Well I'd better get a move on slowly (I'm still a bit sore if I stay sat down too long) need to go the pet shop to get some food for the animals.

Looks like it's going to be another scorcher today although I've just heard thunderstorms are predicted for this afternoon, we'll see.

Glad hubby's test turned out to be negative Pip you have enough on your plate without having to self isolate etc.

    Love to all

    Hello everyone.

A quick note to check in. MFP has not been very nice on my cell. I removed and reloaded and Community is still not working. Glad it's working on the laptop - but can be a PITA (Pain in the A--) when one just wants to read and catch up so they can comment later. I can honestly say I am happy I decided to not upgrade MFP because if I was paying for this I would be extremely upset. And, since I am in IT I have no patience with the upgrade excuses they give us. Let's face it most of our apps are free and are trouble free.

Pip - So happy to hear Kirby's negative. If the opposite it would have delayed everything so I am very happy for you two!

Heather - The menu looks impressive. I am glad you were able to have beach time with the family.

Michelle - I send in my tax returns just to be painful to the IRS. And, since it has so many security breaches paper is probably the safest even though returns are scanned once received.

Amber - Thanks for sharing all of the pictures. You have made great progress - keep up the good work.

It seems covid-weight is a real issue around the world. I was watching one of the morning programs and they have a "Covid 15 Weight Loss Plan". 15 pounds seems to be the average weight gain. Like many here I have been slipping in my diet. I am finding it is mostly due to lack of measuring. So it is once again time for me to put the measuring cups, spoons, etc. in plain view as a constant reminder to measure!

The heat here has been crazy for the past two days. We reached 97 yesterday with 60 percent humidity. The heat index was 110 degrees. This morning is not any better. As soon as I went outside I was sweating. I have been upping the water intake in an effort not to get dehydrated.

Meeting my VP and some co-workers for a happy hour next Thursday. I will be going to a new place in Mizner Park. The happy hour menu looks wonderful. It will be nice to get dressed up and socialize a little.

Hugs to all and prayers for those in need.
