    Except 5.
For the most part, I don't want deadlines this year.

    Happy New Year.
Also spend too much time doom-scrolling.

I am sorry I cannot remember who chose the word light as their word this year.

    Love IT!

Flea - I am glad that you were able to be in the appointment with your Mother. That makes a big difference for you I’m sure.

Tina - we didn’t want to have to put our Mom in a home either, but there was not a safe alternative. My brothers house was too small and he still had a young son, they both worked and the only heat source is wood. They didn’t dare leave Mom to tend fires and that’s how her house was heated too. She is safer and, truthfully, much happier in the home.
My Mom is still considered young she will only be 75 on May 1st and she has been in the home 3 years last month.

Katla - I saw the eye doctor before getting my glasses replaced as well. It made sense since I was going to be looking for some in a couple months anyway. The only downside was I was about 6 weeks away from benefits that I missed out on. Glad your wrist isn’t hurting, when do you see the specialist?

We had another round of resident swabs that were all negative. So far, staff are too. If we can make it to Jan 28th we will be considered out of Outbreak. All of our residents received their vaccine today and by months end all staff that chose to will have their second one. We can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel. I don’t know how we’ll get through emotionally if we get a positive now.

Worked today then work tomorrow. Then soup kitchen Friday

    Allie – oh no!!!

Kylia – It was 2020…that should explain almost all of what happened to you. (((HUGS))) It’s so hard to lose one of our furbabies. Love your word for 2021.

We have all the outside decorations in and most of the totes for the decorations in.

Penny – 70 years!!!! What an accomplishment. Like your mother’s humor

Like Tina, we told our realtor that if all the living area wasn’t on one floor, don’t even bother to show us the house, that would be a definite deal breaker. As it is, all the living area (LR, Kit, BR, laundry room. Bath) is on one floor. The downstairs has another bedroom (ours is on the main floor) and another bathroom, my exercise room and a play room. So, really, I don’t ever HAVE to go downstairs.

Allie – thanks for keeping us updated.

After work made yogurt and it’s now in the IP. Should be done late tonight and it can drain in the refrig overnight. Then went to the MD about the foot. She took an x-ray and said it healed really well. The only thing is that the bone bends a little to the left. But it’s not something to worry about and certainly doesn’t require surgery. I’m still going to be careful doing lunges. At least until I get the other orthotic taken care of. She put this pad on the bottom of the one orthotic and it needs to be done to the other one. Had I known, I would have taken it with me. Well, she said I can just drop them off. The MD I was supposed to see is out AGAIN. Really has me wondering. But she’s very nice and thorough. Then went to the Salvation Army (didn’t get anything), stopped at Aldi, then took a puzzle that I am going to return to Kohl’s but it’s evidently not an Amazon return but UPS. So tomorrow after work I’ll go to Publix since there are a few things I need to get there (that’s the only place I can get them) and on my way back I’ll go to the UPS store.

Tracey – My MIL was the same way. Once she got into the home, she was very very happy. Yea for all negative!

Tracy, I had my eye exam this afternoon. The doctor prescribed the new glasses. The lenses are ordered & I want to use my current frames . They’re in good condition & comfortable. I’ll get a call when the lenses arrive,

"Get to do"s and "chose well"s
Chose well: play trained both dogs twice
Bonus: 36 mins vacuuming, made stir fry pork loin with snow peas and kung pao cauliflower for Joe.
Get to do: take BP, dogs to powerline, call S, fire call data into state system, index mutual aid files, watch STAS Day 20, submit grant pics and receipts, make experimental almond paste, declutter sideboard, practice new dances (I ain’t never gonna love nobody but Cornell Crawford (Alley cat), A Little Less Broken, One Margarita, I’m so used to being broke, All Night, Nothing but You, Blame it on my beating heart, Homesick); finish mulching flowerbed; broadcast cover crop seed in veg garden areas, invest another 10 minutes in prepping living trust, Freddie’s for complete series TDAP <$48, get Shingrix vaccine, find and configure a screen time popup, figure out where to plant naked lady bulbs, and soon as it warms up above 50 and dries out below 60% humidity I’ll tape and spray paint those rusted areas of Aunt Elsie’s stove. Reconcile Joe’s EOB’s Thrivent shows only 2263.48 so far, next BGBS ask Terry about GB’s FD firetruck tax levy – contacts, media, advocate???, Thursday: call roofer.
Reward: inventory seeds, plan next year’s garden, wishlist replenishments, Happier January:
6: Take 5 minutes to sit still and breathe: sure needed to but didn’t. Just stepped out to the deck for a minute, breathing and looking into the forest, too cloudy to see the stars.

    Pip Hubba hubba indeed!
Tracey thanks so much for the Ottlite recommendations. Your best friend’s SIL has a great voice ;) Hope the health dept changes their phone calling script. How scary! “Trying to see if that one salad…” choking on my tea rotflmaowmp!
Heather you tempt me but think’ I’ll opt for KJ’s kiddos’ version
Flea ((hugs)) psyllium fiber caps and ((hugs))
Tina so glad to hear shortness of breath is improving. Might allergies be triggering the drainage cough?
Allie ((hugs)) prayers and ((hugs)) Thankful for negative C-19, any improvement on the pain?

Food and activity choices went off the rails midday to day. Gonna take an aspirin, go to bed, hope for a better tomorrow.

    Lighter, lovelies!

    Happy Thursday.
Healing thoughts for all in need.

I hit my water goal yesterday! Yay! I am an awful drinker. I mean that for any beverage. I am trying to be more aware. CICO is easier for me than water.

Husband wanted alarm changed from 5 am to 6 am. We slept until 630. Oops! No biggie really. We don't have to leave for work until 830. Just less time to get things done. More sleep, less morning news is a good thing.

Yesterday was a good day. Accomplished lots at work and home. Great customers!

Be the Light for someone today even if it is YOU!
