OH my! That is horrific about the 21 Chinese runners. Ultaathletes. wow. So shocking and sad.

Managed to get a run in today to have 141.95 tot for May to date out of 200 goal. Realistically I am not going to hit the goal this month but I am still quite pleased with the quality of the runs. Lots of speed work and better heart rates. We have just not had great weather - a lot of rainy days which is tough to complain about in tx.... LOL.

I tried wearing a non racerback bra for a 10K run and it made no appreciatable difference to the ache between my shoulder blades so I an ruling out the running bras as a cause (plus I am not that well endowed that the bra strains... lol). I tried the roller but I am hopeless as far as using it and afraid I am going to injure myself more. The one thing which does appear to help is the shoulder shrugs if I do them at least once a qtr mile split BEFORE my back starts to ache. I am excited that for the first time in over a year I am going for a massage.. I used to try to get one every other month or so more if I had sciatica acting up. Of course the people are different so it's hit or miss until I happen on a talented one. Luckily I am not shy about speaking up about pressure and locations etc.

and just because I love these new on sale shoes even if I had to buy a half size up... warning shoe porn in spoiler.

Nothing like really HOT shoe porn....

Just been out for an 8.8k easy run. Fit was excellent training for Wellington because its WINDY! Like there's definitely an appreciable difference in my pace depending on the direction I was going. That said it wasn't too bad, just tiring. But yay for good training conditions!

Perfect. My coach suggested Wellington for me but I think I’m going to hold off the halves for a bit. But, realistically, living there for two years made me understand how foul Wellingtons weather can be. I’m hoping you get a stunner day, but the odds for wind and rain... keep up the great training.
