Vicki - I'm so sorry about your son-in-law's death.

I had a very stressful early morning and it did not have to happen.
Levi and I took are early morning walk and were about halfway through it. It was a normal walk, Levi sniffed, pulled, wagged his tail, and barked at the bunny hopping by. Then his legs went wobbly, he had to sit, the look he gave me was glazed and scared. It was a mile to the car, we walked slow, he had good moments and bits I carried him (55 lbs is a lot) - I was scared and worried, but headed to home to wait until 8:30 when the vet opened, I went to lift him out of the car and realized that he had peed – I was more worried. I called the emergency vet and went right there. I had to wait in the car (Covid protocols) after about an hour they called to say his vitals were stable and he was less wobbly. An other hour and the Vet asked me about what were we doing when this happened? Levi it turns out had most likely gotten ahold of some edible pot, probably something dropped along our walk.
Pot/Weed/cannabis/marijuana in any form is toxic to dogs (cats too) and he had all the classic symptoms. Please keep this drug anywhere but where a dog or cat can get a hold of it. I worried for 2.5 hours that my furry family member was dying and dying without me because I couldn’t be with him. Thank goodness there was not enough to kill him, but it could have been.
There is very little the vet can do, just have to let him sleep it off. He is sleeping at my feet as I write this and I am so grateful he is under foot.

Oye! Who did some housecleaning, and moved everything! You all look weird.😁
Today is my middle sons 27th birthday. Hoping to talk to him today.👍
Today's feast is chicken soup, with some brie blobs in the bottom.💖👍
Interesting. Just posted a random pic. Its of my paternal grandmother (far right with hair parted down middle). The stately man far left is Mr Meir, (from Meir & Frank stores). She worked for the family for many years. This is their summer home a retreat at the gorge area. Its still a retreat hotel.👍

Kim - so sorry. An awful worry because of someone's carelessness. ♥️
Vicki - It must be awful to have such family troubles. Sending (((hugs))).
I will try to send a message about the white space. I have eye protection on the screen, but still have to turn the brightness right down. Had to turn it up to watch my French series. Grrrrrr!

Kim - SO glad Levi's OK, for both your sakes.

Kim ~ So sorry what you had to go through with Levi and hoping he recovers quickly. That would have scared me senseless.
Vicky ~ Sorry to hear about your son-in-law. It must have been a shock for you. Hope you are feeling better today.
Rebecca ~ Your grandmother looked like a very pretty woman and had such a sweet face.
Went back to get my eyes checked and the dr. agreed that I probably won't have to get glasses as my cataract surgery went so well. Glad to hear that.
The white page does not bother me at all but it may be because I do all my reading/typing on my desktop PC.

DH absolutely LOVES rich fruit Christmas cake. Last year I suggested he make it. I don’t eat it for calorific reasons.
This morning he did his normal fruit and veg shop. This afternoon he walked down to the big supermarket and bought most of the stuff for the cake. Very heavy! It's over a mile away. What a great husband I have. ❤

afternoon ladies
Kim- thank goodness sweet Levi is still here... poor little guy, how careless of someone to let a poor pup get a hold of something like that.
Vicki- very sorry to hear about your son-in law.. its sad when family relations are strained like that..
I did take a much needed nap today and feel a bit better.. but am sort of ticked about this MFP that I cant get to the community page on my phone as that is how I mostly chat with you all.. is there a phone number to contact them with like a good old customer service number like the old days? im guessing not.. but sure would like to figure it out,,
I am hoping Dans car will be ready tomorrow so that he will be ready for the weekend.. not much else interesting went on today,

Pip - 😍 fab pics
Kim - poor little pooch. Hope Levi recovers quickly
Vicki - So sorry about your SiL.
Heather - I love Christmas cake, but I don’t bake it anymore, as it’s too calorific.
I’m getting used to the new format.
We took some photos on our walk on Tuesday. There was a bear in the woods carved from an old tree trunk.
Almost time to shut down.
Hugs and prayers to those who need them.

Went for the blood work, then worked, then neurologist (he was glad he hadn’t seen me since last year), then the couple who co-hosted the Halloween party helped us bring the decorations upstairs, now Vince needs to figure out where things go.
Sue – so sorry you had COVID
I liked the way I got here. Now I have to click on Categories and then this. Previously, I just clicked on the bookmark. Improvements!!!!! My you-know-what
Julie – feel better fast
pip – what was Kirby cooking?
Vicki – so sorry about your SIL
Kim – how scary that must have been!
The white space doesn’t bother me, either

Pip - The photos are spectacular! Nice you found a restaurant with dog amenities for Yogi. :star:
Fancy – Me too. I’m in for now but lack confidence. I hope for the best. :flowerforyou:
Flea – I talked over the airport car parking with DH but he wanted to spend a night in a hotel and have them drop us off at the door. They will take care of our car until we get back. A bonus is that we will have a good night’s sleep. We may be gone for a month, and it felt safer to DH to leave the car with the hotel. Travel is difficult for him due to health problems. I’m glad he will be rested before we get to the airport. :star:
Heather – Good news that you get to visit your son in Nottingham.
Pip – I love the photos! I particularly like the elk.
Kim – Sorry for your stressful morning and nasty scare. I am happy that your dog, Levi, survived.
I am delighted to have found Women 50+ after the computer challenges yesterday. I hope they’re done with difficulties and we will able to continue to enjoy our community. :star:  :star:

Yay! More changes. Change is good, as KJ said.
Pip: I love the new sheets in Betty. What an amazing trip. You make me want to go camping. LMK if you ever go as far east as Colorado.
Vicki: So sorry for the difficult news and relationship with your daughter. Hugs.
SueBDew: Glad to see you are back. Yes, I lost my DH in May, then my brother in August. Rough summer.
Kim: What a horror! I can totally understand the helpless feeling of leaving a loved one in a hospital while you have to wait outside wondering. Just another one of the stresses caused by Covid. So glad Levi is okay. Exhale.
I am flying to Northern California tomorrow for the weekend. I am bringing my brother's cremains 'home'. His ex-girlfriend has tried to contact his friends, but only one has responded to her invitation. That is so sad to me because my bro was a party guy, and loved to be among his friends. Well, those of us present will do our best to give him a final sendoff that is heartfelt and worthy of the great guy he was. I have been a wreck all week, even at my grief counseling session. I'd give anything not to have to go, but will grit my teeth, try to smile and not lose my 'cheese' (as Lisa likes to say). If there is one thing I took out of the therapy sessions it is that however I chose to grieve, it is perfect.
Got my POAs and will drafts from the attorney. Letting my niece, who will be my agent, review before finalizing. Feels good to have done this, even if my estate is pretty modest.
Stay well, friends. We can do this.

Good evening all. Hope you had a great day.
Kim - so glad your pup is ok. You never know what they will find along the path. I don't Know if you heard about the huge snow and low temps we had in February but the electricity went out at our house when the temp outside was -6degrees. It got down to 32 inside (everything is electric). Our son came to get us as soon as the road was passable. Plants froze inside the house. The reason I am telling you this is it did something to the pecan trees and we have zero pecans on 27 trees. Not many in the orchard either.
Vickie- so sorry for your loss. What a shock to wake up hearing that first thing in the morning.
So, the rest of the story. I had pretty much recovered from the viruses except for the fatigue and seven months later I took my first shot what followed was fever, body aches, and cough. Got better in a few weeks and took the second shot. Highest fever I had had in all this time, worst body aches, nausea and cough. A few weeks later, I had some neurological symptoms such as pings all over my head, feeli like I was walking through cobwebs. Two months later my hair began to fall out And eventually the top and side of my head were bald. I bought a wig and a dermatologist treated me for several months. Right now it is coming back and is about an inch long.
Sorry to be so long. I had too many antibodies and my body was stressed out. Still have some other issues but I am sure you are bored.
Stay safe

Rori – safe travels
suebdew – I thought when you had COVID, you then had antibodies. Why did you feel you needed to get the shot? I’m sorry you went thru so much.
Yea for me. I actually did some yoga tonight. And you KNOW how much I absolutely hate to exercise at night. Admitted, it was only for 20 minutes. But that’s a start. Trust me, I was trying to find all kinds of excuses. But I finally forced myself. I do have some 10 Minute Solution pilates DVD’s, so I’ll try using them one day – maybe.

Barbara - it is the same administrator. I am going to miss my Supervisor tremendously. Some of her work habits drive me a little batty at times (she’s a procrastinator) but otherwise I really enjoy her. She’s always been a buffer when the administrator is off the rails too. I’m quite nervous about her leaving.
Kelly - what a wonderful story!
Allie - that would still be a long day with all of that information to absorb.
Good luck with the board change.
Heather - that’s wonderful
Pip - I love the sheet seat covers they are perfect. I like the white too, it makes it easier on my eyes. Funny how we’re all
Vicki - what a shock, sorry for the loss.
Kim - I’m so sorry about Levi. That happened to a friend of mine too.
Sue - sorry you struggled so badly with Covid and the shots. Staff that had Covid and the shots did say they they felt worse after the shots. None of them had the long term effects you did though.
Michele - some of our staff that were fully vaccinated and had Covid have had it a second time now too. Nothing seems to be 100% effective with this one, it’s just a better chance of survival having the vaccine.
I had my third booster today and except for a sore arm feel ok so far. I have a busy weekend so I’m hoping I don’t have any side effects. I’m not expecting any as I didn’t with the first two.
I also had ceramics tonight, I set the project for myself aside and started working on the gift for my daughter and son in law.
Tomorrow my eldest daughter and Grands are coming out. Jonah will stay here with Grampie while the gals go shopping.
I tire very easily these days I have a doctors appointment at 3 and hopefully can get some answers to help me.
