Heather - your words about grieving hit a chord with me tonight.
I always suggest a drive when a serious conversation needs to be held. It’s always been the best way for me.
What a special relationship Max and Johnny have.

I am struggling with the death of a cousin in 2019 and her husband last week. Of course, I’ve known them for years, but they were not people I interacted with on even a weekly basis. It dawned on me that it’s the similarities in our lives. Her and I were exactly 3 months apart. Our anniversaries were a week apart, our children are all close in age. I provided childcare to their children for 2 years and I also have known him since I was in grade 2.

Their daughter video called me last night. They are having to to the mad rush of emptying a house as 2 of the 3 don’t live in the area anymore and they don’t want to leave it all for the one that does. She came across a wooden bowl my Dad made for her Mom. She is bringing it to me when she returns.

After I typed all of that I had a great sense of déjà vu. If I’ve posted this already please forgive me. I did look back and didn’t see it. It’s been a rough week and I haven’t recovered from last week yet.

Our Daughter and SIL were supposed to go to Manitoba starting out this afternoon for a memorial service and concert. Manitoba has a winter snow advisory in effect and are expecting 80cms of snow. The memorial service has been postponed and the concert cancelled. Our SIL had brought their dog, Ember, over today and now will be picking her up tomorrow.

My boss just texted me and told me she appreciates me and to sleep in tomorrow.

Annie - I am trying to decide if I can fit an Easter dinner in now that my daughter and SIL will be home.

Allie - our driveway growing up had 7 massive maple trees and one oak tree. I cried when every one had to be cut down.

Kim - I am sending you the hugest hugs.

My daughters best friend that we had the baby shower for had a baby girl last evening at 545 pm. She was exactly one week later than expected. Mom and baby are doing fine. Her name is Aspen. I would share a picture if MFP would allow iPhones to do so. It’s very frustrating.

I went into work at 530 this morning. This evening my boss sent me a text telling me that she appreciates me and to sleep in tomorrow. I doubt it will happen, but I sure appreciate the sentiment.

REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you. Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

Kim ... so very sorry for these days you're experiencing. I'm hoping that Tim is genuine and, if that's the case and he's been bamboozled by your brother, feel badly for him as well.

Lisa ... I haven't stepped foot in a Walmart since pre-covid. I order everything online and use curbside pick-up. Yet to be disappointed in anything they've picked for me. Even when I used to go into the store, we picked one that was a little further away, but cleaner and calmer than the one closest to us. I do not like crazy crowds.

Barbara ... good question about moving and how that affects medicare/medicaid. I don't know and will have to add that to my list of questions.

Visited with my parents on Monday. My dad looked the best I've seen since his hospitalizations in December (he had just walked around the apartment with his walker and his therapist) and my mom is experiencing healing at the skilled nursing. Hopefully her wound will progress to the stage where she can get back to my dad. Here at home we're dealing with a failing septic system. Had hoped to keep the costs to a minimum with a minor fix, but the contractor was out yesterday working on part one of the project and it's not looking good. Another of our projects this spring is to replace two high water usage toilets with water saving models. We've also ordered tall toilets. Well one arrived yesterday. I wish I had taken a photo of the size of the crate that arrived ... it was the size of small car! Talk about a "throne."

Had a good lunch with G. I do have to exercise patience sometimes when she gets bound up in her neuroticism, but I managed it, mostly.
We walked down to the seafront afterwards and sat on a bench in the sunshine. Then we walked up to a bus stop . She caught a bus into town and I walked home.
I can feel her tangled head when I am with her, so small doses are enough. So very fond of her ❤. I have known her 60 years.

HEATHER Thanks for asking. Life hasn’t been too good lately, DH is only now getting back to normal after the Second vaccination. Nearly a year, i do wonder if he had actually had Covid. I’ve been in hospital with gall bladder again, waiting for an appointment. Who knows when that will happen. Combine all this and not having my usual holidays, I was really down and consequently doing a lot of comfort eating, put on a stone. Now trying to get back to eating sensibly and exercising again. It’s weird isn’t it coped fine during lockdowns but last year nah.

Kate UK--Did I understand your post right, DH had a bad reaction to the second vaccination? My DH did also (2 days after) and he is still having problems. Had to cut back to part time at work and he gets so tired he can't do much of anything. Been to every kind of doctor and they all say long haul covid and who knows how long it will last. What did your DH have to do?

Got up to 92 here yesterday, then the wind picked up again and today we are 43. Could sure use some rain.
