Just ran across this board and it isn't active much I'm hoping it picks back up because I'm super motivated. I'm also seeking ACTIVE friends as well.

@cbabie I know how easy it is to eat your emotions. I've been doing a lot of that, too. I hope you don't have to go back to 4 hours of sleep! That would be awful. Good choice with the oatmeal. The candle...I don't know but the smell definitely helped me calm down (it was brown sugar vanilla, I think). Thank you!

@TeresaW1020 Oh gosh, I'm so sorry about Joe. That guy can't catch a break, can he? You are right, giving up your dreams will not help anyone, Joe or YOU. Hugs.

@Cassie_Cassie Hello and welcome! We are pretty active, there are a couple of us that write every day and some who just chime in when we can. Tell us about your journey so far. Is there anything we can help you with?

Hi all. I've been so stressed. I've got vertigo now thanks to the stress, it's a mild case but still annoying. I've been getting into the snacks, mostly in the mornings. I need just to grab myself and shake myself! No work has been done yet in my bathroom: the leak detection specialist came out yesterday. We should find out when they can start today.

    Water yesterday: 25 oz

Morning all, I did okay yesterday, but not great. I did go to the park and play with baby girl for about an hour, she met a new friend, but got hurt going down the slide "together". LOL. So had to come home and then a little later I went on a bike ride, to calm me down. LOL. I ate leftovers last night, really didn't want to cook. Cleaned out the fridge and working on the cabinets..purge mode. LOL

@TeresaW1020 So sorry to hear about Joe, I am praying this all levels out for him and you.. great job on not giving up on your dreams and you are right about it not helping Joe. I try to keep that in mind more often these days myself..I don't always win the battle, but still fighting the war. :)

@trooworld UGH vertigo, never had it, but not sure how I would handle it either..LOL. I am praying for you too that all this levels out for you and the little triggers in life calm down. It seems that we are being pressed from the outside in...LOL. However, we are all still pushing back...!!!!

@Cassie_Cassie We are a small group and committed to our health, we try to keep each of us encouraged and we are also learning tips and tricks from each other. Glad to see you hear and you are motivated.

@cbabie Sounds like you are making better choices. Transformation is now.....Excellence is in the next five minutes.

@trooworld I think your habit when life's stressors come your way is to drop everything because your focus has shifted onto the problem. I was rereading one of my journals recently that I did from a book and I had written about practicing the problem or practicing the solution. Because we are always practicing something. So it looks like you are developing a good new habit of lighting a candle, journaling, and a cute Hallmark movies. I like those too at times. I'm currently watching Chesapeake Shores on Netflix and that feels like a Hallmark movie to me. Just one looonnnnng one. lol Yaaay on a healthy lunch and dinner.

@teresaw1020 Sorry about Joe. I always try to tell myself in situations like this, This too shall pass. You did good by not feeding your pig Chick Fil A. You're right. It's not going to help Joe one bit. So hang in there. Keep your pig caged and ignored. Throw some KIND bars or other healthy snacks into your purse so if you find yourself suddenly at the hospital you will have YOUR food. Hugs.

@cassie_cassie Welcome to the group! We're a small group maybe 7 or 8. I like smaller groups as it's more personal and we can give more than just general advice. We learn each other's struggles and wins. I hope you'll share the things that keep you motivated with us.

So I'm doing well so far lately. My meals are all planned out. I've been doing my morning exercise. Water has been good.

@cbabie Aw, poor baby girl! I didn't want to cook last night either, at least you ate leftovers and didn't do what I did (more on that later). I have gotten vertigo about 4 times in my life. Luckily, I know the method to get rid of it (you have to do this maneuver repeatedly). Thank you. And yes, it does feel like I'm being pressed from the outside in lol.

@theslightedgeforever Yes, I agree. That's exactly what I do, I only have so much bandwidth lol. I'll have to check out Chesapeake Shores. Thanks for letting me know about it! Congrats on a green dot. It does sound like you are doing well.

Hi all. Well, when it rains it pours! I got notified by my job yesterday that someone I was around on Monday tested positive for COVID so I could potentially have COVID. So far, no symptoms, and I tested negative yesterday. I have to test again on Tuesday and wear a mask all week at work. I did not need this added stress lol. It really pushed me over the top yesterday, I didn't have the energy to cook + we had a free pizza coming to us from our favorite pizza place so what did we do? We ordered pizza. :( I only had 2 pieces + a garlic knot + some salad and I tracked it all. I consider that a semi-win.

Morning all, I did horrible yesterday, BUT I tracked it. I don't know what was up with me, but I went way over on everything, I even ate a cookie that tasted terrible but ate all of it anyway. Went to the park with baby girl yesterday, but didn't move like I normally do as she found some friends and they played while me and the mom talked. LOL

@theslightedgeforever You are doing great. spread that over to me..LOL

@trooworld So sorry to hear about the covid, but hopefully just because you were around it, doesn't mean you get it. I consider your meal a win...you tracked, and you were aware and not mindlessly eating. LOL

@trooworld You are definitely ready for some sunshine in your life. So start anew today. Keep those choices positive. I hear you on the bandwidth.

@cbabie Repeat after me. Eating everything will not make you feel better or comfort you. You know I'm your wiser sister. ;) Like I told @trooworld start anew today.

    Another good day.

@cbabie Are you in an emotional state right now? That would explain the eating the terrible cookie. Thanks, yeah, so far, no symptoms. I did track everything. It's not pretty, but I tracked it! LOL

@theslightedgeforever I am indeed. Today is definitely going to be a fresh start. I am aiming to get a blue dot today. Congrats on your good day!

Hi all. I just ate my face off all week and it showed at the scale today: I gained 3.4 lbs. Some of that may be water weight but most of it isn't, I'm sure of it. But...instead of focusing on the scale, I'm going to focus on the NSVs: I tracked everything, I tried to do stress-relieving techniques, and I attempted to drink enough water. Today is a fresh start and I am aiming for a blue dot.

I was supposed to meet a friend for coffee but I rescheduled it because I didn't want to pass COVID to him if I did have it. So, it's going to be a low-key kind of weekend but I do have to go out for groceries and I think I may go to WW meeting and just sit away from everyone and wear a mask.

@trooworld Yaaay on tracking your food. Did you earn a blue dot? Yes, focus on those NSVs. Then the weight will take care of itself.

Food was good. Exercise was a rest day but did not earn my green dot because of my water. So still 3 for the week

@theslightedgeforever I did not earn a blue dot but actually, if we ate exactly what I had planned, I would have gotten a blue dot (pepper-crusted filet mignon with blue cheese chive butter + air fryer baked potatoes with fat-free cottage cheese + lightened up creamed spinach). BUT...my husband wanted a beet salad with goat cheese with the steak instead of the sides I planned so we had that instead and it was more points than the sides. But I don't feel bad because the salad was really healthy and full of vitamins and minerals. Today, I will get a blue dot. 3 green dots are great! Congratulations. Work on that water. ;) I need to, too.

Hi all. I did not get my blue dot yesterday (see above) but I plan on getting one today. Nothing much going on besides meal prep. I will try to do it early because it will be hot again today. Yesterday, I think it got up to the 90s.

    Water yesterday: 12 oz

@trooworld I think it’s great that you are ok with not getting a blue dot because you didn’t eat things you shouldn’t have. That beet salad was healthy and sometimes that needs to matter just as much as a blue dot. And as far as your gain, it was a stressful week and those happen, don’t they? ;) We just keep moving forward.

Hello! Joe and I came home from the hospital yesterday evening. The doctor had told us that we could go home at 8 am and we didn’t walk out until almost 6 pm. Four days in that tiny room were rough. Joe was so sick, but I am so happy to have him back home. He slept well last night and is taking a nap right now. We are learning how to do self-catheterization, which hasn’t been as hard as I feared it would be. The things we do for the ones we love! :grins: I’ve been busy all day getting the house clean and catching up on my long to-do-list. The Never Binge Again program has been a struggle since I’ve been completely out of my routine, but I’ve done the best I can and today, I’m back on track and that feels really good. The scale is up but I will get it back down this week for sure! :)

@trooworld it still looks like you made healthy choices despite not getting a blue dot. Transformation is now.

@teresaw1020 Have you learned anything new in the Binge program? Self catheterization makes me go OUCH! But needs to be done. I'm glad Joe is home.

No green dot for me. Exercise and water this time. Food was good though. I've been doing really well with that. So we're still at 3.

@TeresaW1020 Thanks! Yes, stressful weeks happen and they just take it out of me lol. You are right, we need to just keep moving forward. Oh gosh, that hospital stay and release must have been stressful! I'm sure you are glad to have Joe home. Yes, the things we do for love. I'm glad you are back on track today. Hugs.

@theslightedgeforever Yes, I did. So, it's not the end of the world that I didn't get a blue dot on Saturday. I'm glad food was good, sorry no green dot.

Hi all. I almost got a blue dot yesterday but got too hungry cooking during meal prep and ate chili lime peanuts and a WW snack bar. :/ I also had soy chorizo con papas (Mexican chorizo and crispy potatoes) for brunch and that was kind of pointy so it wasn't just the snacks. I made a really good Mexican soup last night for dinner (pozole rojo) but I made it with chicken breast instead of pork. It came out really good. It involved using dried chilies.

@trooworld How about snack on some fruit during meal prep if you get hungry. That will lower your points.

I had a good day and earned another green dot.

I lost 0.3 lbs this week. The train is moving slowly. But I've gotten in a whole lot more f&v versus processed foods. So that's my big NSV.

    Good evening!

Hope all is well. It was a pretty steady Monday. I kept saying today that I will take dogs for walk. Well I did and swarming bees in the backyard assisted with that decision. Huskies each got 22 ish minutes bichon only 11 ish minutes. They could have gone for more but it was later as I had to run errands after work and wanted to make sure all dogs got a chance. Home and walked them all in backyard for one last time just before thunderstorms came rolling in. Going to do the same tomorrow but maybe double the dogs up. We will see. Everyone have a great night and hope everyone has a great week if I don’t check in daily as the week sometimes or oftentimes flies right on by.

@theslightedgeforever That would have been a better choice. Congrats on the green dot and the loss! And that's a great NSV.

@gemwolf110 That's a great way to get steps in. I understand about weeks flying by.

@cbabie, do I need to send out the hounds? ;)

Hi all. I had a decent day yesterday until I came home and discovered that we didn't have any thawed chicken to cook dinner with. So, instead, we had our emergency frozen meal: InnovAsian General Tso's Chicken (added some broccoli) + chicken potstickers + brown rice. It made me go over my points and miss my blue dot but oh well I guess it was better than ordering pizza.

    Water yesterday: 50 oz

@gemwolf110 I never thought about you having to take the dog separately for walks. That will keep you moving. I hope you have a relaxing week if you can swing it.

@trooworld Maybe @cbabie and I are the same person and we just pretend we are sisters. ;) Notice that she's gone when I'm around....yes your meal sounds better than ordering pizza. Which I just did. :( I even had thawed out chicken. I think hubby was sick of my "healthy meals" I've been serving him all week. Lesson learned.

So yesterday I did my exercise but didn't burn 250 calories which is one of my requirements to earn the green dot along with meeting my water goal and food boundary. I had tried a new video and it was slower than my usual other ones. it worked on balance and arm exercises in addition to some cardio. Those arm exercises were tough. It was hard to keep holding my arms up like that plus I was sweating. But not burning many calories. I almost quit and said just do something else which burns more calories but then thought maybe it hurts so bad because this is where I'm weak and I need to finish what I started. So I did plus finished my stretches and ended up doing 51 min exercise. But still can't count the green dot. I haven't decided am I being too strict on myself with this or not. So list for me the pros and cons of this situation.

@theslightedgeforever I’ve been trying to learn and keep up with the NBA program but of course, it’s been hard with this latest issue with DH. I have a coach that I check in with every day through email where I answer a list of questions about how my day went and if the Pig left its cage. I have rewritten my Big Why and have been working on refutations for keeping the Pig locked up. There are several videos that I need to catch up on but unfortunately, this is a year-long program so I will have time. Right now, I’m just trying to keep myself from drowning. :/ What are you using to determine your calorie burn when you exercise? It’s hard to be accurate, so I don’t know if it’s really fair to you. I have done those slow kinds of exercises where you feel a major burn and sweat. Those need to count because that exercise will build more muscle than just burning calories through cardio. So, I would readjust your method so that you get that green dot when you actually do a good workout. 51 minutes of exercise needs to count! ;)

@troworld You didn’t eat what you planned but you are right that making a meal at home is healthier and better for you than ordering a pizza would be. So good job! B)

@gemwolf110 Do you walk the dogs separately? That would be a good exercise for you! Yikes to swarming bees! :#

Hello everyone! I’ve been super busy, and I really need a vacation. I’ve been trying to work on simplifying things in my life now that Joe needs me so much of the time. Fortunately, the amazing trooworld has agreed to help by taking over the leadership of our group on Fat2Fit. I’m so thankful!! I’m hoping things will calm down a bit so I can catch up on all the good info in the NBA program. I just need a few uninterrupted hours. Tomorrow, I have a dentist appointment and I am waiting to hear from my hairstylist about when she can get me in since I had to cancel. I told Joe that he better get it together before I fall apart! :D

@theslightedgeforever and @TeresaW1020 yeah for some reason I thought it would be better to do one at a time… I think I may do 2 at a time tonight. My youngest was horrible and it was a full body workout. Glad I took him first lol. Maybe he will walk better with a pal

Afternoon, all, I didn't realize that I haven't been on here a bit..I was out of it totally yesterday, had a bit of a health issue and paramedics were called this time. My DH couldn't cause me to come to and called 911 who sent good old fire truck to my front door. But as you can see I am alive and well..I am playing catchup. I lost 1.2 lbs this past week, but I don't think it's because I made all good choices..LOL. We will see what the scale says next week. I am trying to track and I also started taking my Blood sugar..seems normal right now. Wasn't sure if that is what caused the episode. Went on a bike ride this morning with my daughter...legs were sore. LOL

@theslightedgeforever I just like to keep them guessing if we are really sisters...LOL. To look at us you would say no...(unless you knew our parents) LOL Keep up the good work, movement is movement in my book. (think Dad) no movement...and stiff as a board.

@TeresaW1020 I am glad he is home and you guys are figuring out the catheter. Glad our friend Trooworld could help you out and you willingly let something go. LOL. It's great to hear you are not stressing about things you can't change or you know will soon change.

@gemwolf110 You stay busy..LOL. It sounded like the dog walked you...LOL

@trooworld I am here, sorry I didn't realize I had been gone too long. You beet salad sounded yummy and you are right it was still a good choice. You got this and I am so proud of how your mindset has changed. Thanks for taking the lead for Teresa...she couldn't of ask for a better team lead...
