Heather — Sorry to hear that you and DH are sick, & he is a day ahead of you. 😘
Machka — You’re right that we sometimes have to wait. DH is working to improve his health and had a recent visit to his doctor. We hope for improvement, and it will take time. I will spend time with him when I can.
Betsy— I hope you enjoy your trip to Alaska with your youngest, and back to WA for your granddaughter’s wedding in December.
Kim— My mom was a Christmas Cookie baker with wonderful texture and flavor. She baked hers on a metal pan. I think your cookies are wonderful treats.

Betsy--Hope you enjoy your trip and get back in time to enjoy the wedding.
Katla--Sounds like a lot if happening for you and DH.
Heather--Hope you and DH get to feeling better soon. The lady that stays with us has been sick the last couple days and staying in her room. She has gotten the okay to move into her new apartment this next tuesday. I pray she feels better by then and can enjoy the new place. She has been with us just over 4 1/2 years. It was only to be for a couple months and than Covid hit and apartments were not opening up to new people. This will be good for all of us.
I am off the weekend and only plans are going to my cousin's funeral in the morning and church on Sunday.

Rebecca: I think about what I will do when I am alone but I live in a low cost area so probably should stay where I am.
VIV: i hope your Mum is okay.
DLFK202000: glad your procedure went well
Betsy: Enjoy your family!
Flea: GLad you felt well enough to watch a movie
Rebecca: Yes post something on Facebook. You never know he might see it. Is your son in touch with his siblings. I am so sorry you are going through this.
Lisa: Hope your feeling more energized.
Margaret: I need to think more about inflammation.
Heather: Hope you feel better. Setting boundaries in caretaking is vital. The exhaustion can be too much.
Went to an antique mall with a friend....had not been since 2019. It was alot of fun. I found earrings and a necklace and spent $14.00.

DrKatie-around here we don't require a positive test. According to my Health Commissioner-early on they wanted those because they were so unsure about everything Covid. They have discovered some people may continue to test positive but it doesn't mean they are contagious. We require 5 days home. If symptoms better (especially fever free) mask for 5 days. I personally think that mainly a person needs to do what they feel comfortable with that doesn't unnecessarily put others at risk.
Heather-I am also wondering if you and DH picked up a Covid reprise. Wouldn't hurt to test so you know. I have had friends who have had multiple cases
Betsy-enjoy the trip!
Katla-hang in there!
I really liked the jeans for wine! I don't drink, but I appreciate people being clever and reusing things.
Pretty cold here today. Thankfully we aren't having the lake snow. Beth(and any others in upstate NY) stay safe and hope no one loses power, etc.
Off for a quick walk then home to do a couple of chores before dinner zoom with friends.
Take care all,

Good afternoon ladies!
It's quiet here. Mom is watching travel shows. I have a library book to read, by Louise Penny, and another Sara Paretsky waiting for me. My birthday is Sunday, and I ordered a few more books, and let my Mom pay for them as a gift. So I've got plenty. But I keep reading the news on my phone, and playing solitaire. Just taking it easy today.
I saw a podiatrist this morning. I was happy to hear that there's nothing wrong that the right cream won't cure. Yay!
On the sad side, I had to dig out a larger pair of jeans. These have a high waist, so they don't look good but at least they aren't so tight. I guess I need to review my diet. I did eat a sweet potato today, so there's a vegetable.

Karen I think it was you that told me about a site on Facebook that you could become a member of and give things away to people for free in your zip code. I do not remember what that name is and I have lots of stuff to give away! I had thought that I joined up, but cannot find the group. If this wasn’t you, can anybody help me??

Starting to feel a bit better. DH not so much. Crossing fingers.
I've been resting and sleeping. Watching crap TV.
Hope it's doing the trick.

Two ways I peel mango. Peel the whole thing then slice off both thick sides then the thin sides or before peeling it, cut the two thick sides off, score it, push it inside out and cut the cubes off then trim the thin sides.
Thanks for the reminder- I have a few that I need to use up.2 -
Annie - I'd better jump in before I forget - have a GREAT Birthday on Sunday!!

here it is " Buy Nothing and Freeshare" and our town name2 -
Mary you can also try Freecycle which is another website for the exchange of free stuff. It just depends which one is more active in your town.
Thanks for the birthday wishes! I really value the friendship on this site. You ladies mean a lot to me!
