Merry Christmas 🎄
Okie in the TX Hill Country4 -
Hugs for all those who are ill, grieving, or suffering.
Had a super present opening session this morning in bed. Food, alcohol, and painting stuff. Definitely a theme!
We got down to the beach! Weather horrible, after five years of great Christmas Days. But a few people went in the sea, despite advice not to!
It was great to meet up with DDIL'S parents and everyone else. People had made the effort to dress up. I had my very flashing earrings on and John had a flashing hat.
Came back to watch 1947's 'Miracle On 34th Street'. Had blinis, sour cream and caviar, and Iberico ham for lunch. Had one liqueur chocolate and I made avogato for coffee. Lovely!
Spent some time sending texts and photos to friends and family. Got some great videos of the kids roller blading on the skates we bought them, and playing Jingle Bells together in their new living room. Max on piano, Edie on cello, and Bea on violin.
I've had a nice nap.
John about to start cooking Christmas Dinner for eating at 6 pm.
We still have quite a bit of festive stuff recorded, and Call The Midwife is on at 8.15 tonight.
Much love, Heather UK xxxxxxxx

Barbara Please let Katla know that I am thinking of her and wish her all the best, along with hugs!
On Luminaries When I lived in CT before moving to the RV, we went to the store one Christmas Eve for last minute shopping and on our way back, we ran into the fire department putting luminaries all down both sides of the street and lighting them! We stopped and asked what they were (as we didn’t know), and they said ‘luminaries’ and went back to work. They were beautiful to see along the street.

Besides Christmas Day, today is family day. Have some pumpkin pie with your relatives for me. I can’t eat it, I react to the pumpkin. :{. Too sad. I love pumpkin pie….

I got to sleep a little late today plus walk for more than an hour and get the turkey in the oven in a timely manner to be ready to eat close to our usual meal time of 11:00. I've already watched my fill of classic holiday movies along with listening to an audio book of "A Christmas Carol". Dogs are lying at my feet under the table with Annie trying to get Bessie to play with her. Jake is in the recliner sending text greetings to family members who celebrate Christmas.
Hugs to all who are ill, injured, and sad today. Take heart in whatever spiritual practices work in your life. We are all in your pocket and wishing you the best.

KatieI was sorry to hear of your fall!
M Hope you recover quickly!
Rosemary Key lime is my favorite too! I would have bought one for a special treat except I am having the Frango candy as my treat for now. We are enjoying sharing good memories of my sister in law.
When I see a cardinal I think of a good memory of our son. Thinking of when we adopted DrewB together! A friend in the choir lost her son this year I gave her a small flower charm. My sediment to her was when she sees a flower think of a good memory. While talking to her at church we saw a woman with flowers on her dress. She shared going out to dinner and hearing him laugh. Another friend who lost her son this year and I could feel her pain at their son passing. My Christmas message was how much joy her son gave to them love of music, cats, shared reading, love of them. I feel strongly their son wants me to give that message of love.
Rosemary As you share the key lime pie what good memories come to mind of your darling husband...Sometimes tears are drops of love that splash on the memories. Much love to you...

Heather - I hope you get to see the family more in the week following Christmas.
I’m hoping to steal the Grands one day this week. Maybe I’ll invite them for New Years Eve, let their parents have a date night. We’ll see.
Annie - I feel that Minister was way out of line. What a thing for him to do, he should understand your Father’s limits.
Sorry this happened, it just makes a stressful situation even more stressful. Big hugs.
Allie - I would have a hard time being Tracy’s Mom and having her living with someone like that. I hope things change for her soon.
Carol - sorry for the loss of your BIL.
Michele - I shocked myself, the cookies taste just like my Grandmother’s. I still don’t have the mocha cakes made. The time got away from me. I’ll do them tomorrow.
Flea - I return to school on January 2nd. It’s a nice break.
Lanette - I have watched a few episodes of The Repair Shop, my DH quite enjoys it. I enjoy the things as well.
Debbie - you are kinder than I making everything nice for DH when you’re treated the way you are.
I hope you have a peaceful Christmas with your Mom. My biggest wish for you is that you start being treated better.
Katie - sorry you fell. I don’t know why people don’t offer to help anymore. The social media world has seemed to have ruined basic manners in the real world.
Rebecca - your calendar weaving is beautiful.
Barbara - what a lovely thing to send a card to Katla. She is missed.
Machka - I hope you feel better soon. My cousin and her DH are sick and have had to cancel all of their Christmas plans. They were hosting dinner for 12. A couple of their guests were also sick.
I was going to ask what RAT’s were too. We call them PCR tests here, or just tests when we know we’re talking about Covid.
So sorry you have the worry of your parents health.
Barbara - I agree. I don’t buy them, the child that I did the stocking for her grandmother does. She only buys one each Christmas for her.
I see our local “farm” store had seeds in when I was there on the 22nd.
Rosemarie - I’m glad you son and family will be with you today.
Lisa - butter swim biscuits sound delicious.
Merry Christmas everyone. It’s been a busy couple of days. We had our Christmas on Saturday. I didn’t take many pictures this year for some reason. But here is a group photo our youngest took.
Last night I went to the candlelight Christmas service at my son in law’s church. Michaela played Mary in their enactment of the Christmas story. I have never laughed so hard at a pastor. If you are interested this is the link to the service.

I took a selfie with the Grands.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Dinner is over. Turkey is sliced and separated into bowls for eating and for making soup. We'll have several days of turkey sandwiches. Tomorrow I'll make soup with the bones and the broth from the Thanksgiving turkey. The dishwasher is running and the kitchen is clean. 🥰🌻🌞❤

Debbie in Napa Valley, CA - 151.6 Nice to see it going back down, then looked at what I weighed on 1/1/23 and feeling not so great about it. I did go up even higher and it is on it's way back down. Just didn't realize I had gained almost 9 pounds since the first of the year.
Lanette in SW WA State – staying on even keel weight wise. Adding a little morning walk before high protein breakfast. Carrying 5 lb weights is more comfortable now. Slowly gaining arm strength.

Did Gilad’s Step and Tone DVD then went for my walk. I don’t know if it’s that I’m getting older or the fact that I no longer exercise every day (formal exercise), but it seemed that I got out of breath faster than I used to.
Rebecca – those snowflakes are just gorgeous. You know, tatting is about the only craft that I’ve never done. I want to learn, I have a book with instructions so as soon as I get a little time, I’m going to try it.
Barbara and Lanette – “four seconds longer”. Time to think about opening the pool….lol
Rosemarie – HUG
Lisa – “butter swim biscuits” – sounds so very yummy. Sounds like they must have a lot of butter in them.
Tracey – lovely program
Evelyn – I thought I saw chocolate covered pieces of fruit in that bowl!!!
Quiet Christmas. Denise says she doesn’t know what they’re doing. That’s double speak for “we’re going to Pete’s mother’s house”, Jess is in Idaho and Bryan, well, he did email us with pictures of Leo. Otherwise, not much going on
Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays or whatever you’d prefer. Thank you, all, for being my friends and sounding block when I need it.

John's first solo Christmas Dinner was a triumph! Turkey with all the British traditional accompaniments. Stuffing, bread sauce, pigs in blankets, sprouts, roast potatoes, roast parsnips and carrots, gravy. It just appeared on the table.
My dessert was a little untidy in the unmolding, but tasted heavenly.
Turkey and stuffing ciabatta tomorrow lunchtime, and turkey curry in the evening.
Nice to have some freezer space back!!!
Kids are going to a pantomime tomorrow and then to the other grandparents for a couple of nights. I think the idea is to give my poor son a break. After bad covid, he still cooked for seven for two days. Luckily the brother and family cancelled coming because they were worried about catching it.
So we shall see them after the 28th.
I spoke to G on the phone this afternoon. Her demonic itching is slightly better, but she cancelled her Christmas trip to friends and stayed in bed. It's been exhausting. Scabies.
Just missed a chat with L who was sitting down to her solo dinner. Tomorrow will do.
Love to all. Heather UK xxxxxx4 -

Merry Christmas!
Safe travels to those traveling. We will be heading an hour south to visit with oldest daughter and family.
Healing thoughts to those sick or injured.
Peace for all but especially those who are missing someone in their lives. You are loved.
Barbara- I got a new hummingbird feeder from DYD and was excited to share with Katla. Give her my love.
Oops,didn't post this this morning.
Enjoyed time with family.
Rainy and windy outside. But we are in our pjs, earing popcorn, and watching two and a half men with DH.
Hugs and love,
Kylia in Ohio
