COVID symptoms not resolved yet: Full sinuses, runny nose, laryngitis, ears blocked, headache, diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue.
I sort of thought that after 2.5 weeks, things would be more improved than this.

The plan for tomorrow is to do a Denise Austin Power Zone DVD. Then I’ll probably go for a walk and then to Aldi
Allie – I’m so so happy that Carmine came to sMiles party. I especially loved that pic of Carmine hugging sMiles. Can you thank Karen by calling her or something? So nice that there are honest people in this world
Just came back from my walk. Got dinner ready and will go out to help Vince put things away in a few.
Rita – most of my Corelleware looks like new, too. But there are a few pieces that I picked up at a thrift store since my pattern has been discontinued for years. I guess I just need to make a paste of baking soda and leave it on the outside of the dish. Baking soda is what I used inside the dish.
Barbie – thanks, I’ll have to check that out. Maybe I do and I never knew it! (Hope so)
Put away most of the blowmolds from Christmas. Gawd, I do like blowmolds.
Rosemarie – good luck with the car. I know you’ll make the right choice
Gagirl – WB
Rori – great to see you. That video looks very interesting. Need to bookmark it
luann – welcome. I’m so sorry about your husband.

Lisa - I had to laugh at your bathroom situation. That would scare me too.
Kylia - I did that FB think too. Now I can’t remember what the words were. I should have written them down.
Sorry your coffee date got postponed.
Lanette - I just bought a HP I hope it lasts longer than 3 years. I bought it at the Source. The store manager and I had a long talk and he told me not to buy the cheapest or the most expensive. He said none of them are made to last anymore and 4 years is about it. Frustrating.
Ginny - I had to laugh at your advice to Heather about the cupboard door and Johnny not fixing it. When I told Rodger last night I have a guy coming to give a quote on mudding and taping my wall, he said good. I said well I don’t want to keep pressuring you to do it so we’ll see what it costs. He said, I can do it, I don’t do it well and it will be noticeable on a big wall. He could have admitted this a few months ago.
Joy - those temperatures are going to be awful to deal with aren’t they? I just hope they don’t last for weeks like last year. We had pipes freeze.
Debbie - what show is that? It sounds like one my Granddaughter might like.
Allie - I’m so happy for all of you that Carmine showed up to the party. Baby steps are still steps.
Why does Tracy care if you get a cat? You never mention her visiting you, just the other way around.
Barbara - I love the exercise snacks. That’s sort of what I’ve been doing lately. Not actual exercise just up and moving.
I said to Rodger tonight that my foot feels better when I’m resting and not walking, but the rest of me, especially my hips and back, feel better when I’m moving. I think I need to do some swimming again. I haven’t been since my last lesson in 2019.
Rosemarie - I can’t wait to see your living room. I bet it will be beautiful.
Went with my friend to look at the camper. I understand why she was concerned going alone, but it was a very safe viewing.
The guy came to give a quote today for our drywall mudding. I found him as recommended on our local Rant & Rave group on FB. He is able and reasonable so I’ll be booking him soon.
As we were chatting just before he left, he said something about when he moved here. We asked where he is from and turns out it’s the town we came from in NB. He knew Rodger’s uncles, I look later and we have 4 mutual friends. I contacted Rodger’s Aunt, she said he’s done work for them and he did a good job and he’s a good guy. That’s good enough for me.
It’s a small world after all!
My daughter that has been trying so hard to have a baby told me tonight that one of their friends is starting a go fund me to help for their next IVF round. I’m so glad they are allowing this, it will help them to try again sooner. It takes a long time to save the amount of money they need for this. She estimates that they have already spent 30K over the last two years. They have done that, finished school that they didn’t take loans for and bought a house in the last 5 years and they have not asked for help from anyone as a matter of fact they helped others as well. They make me so proud.

Today’s gratitude: no power outage or storm damage. Wishing the same for all in the path of this next one, looks to be a doozy.
Rosemarie the only thing more cheerful than “a picture of a Golden Retriever” is a real live one [wink, wink]
Welcome @nitaoriol Ga girl, @hmjack1561 Hope and @luannegalizio Luanne! This is the right thread for motivation, support, friendship, compassion and wisdom.
Annie that story of the strangers coming to your family’s Thanksgiving dinner by mistake is a testament to your family’s warmth and love.
Tracey was it you who recommended “Only Murder in the Building”? Thanks! I’m really enjoying it. “… just up and moving” for me is the key to feeling (mostly) better ;}1/6: Move: Move: ZERO sets PT, brief dog group rained out, dogs to powerline, Jeopardy walking. Steps:5400
Fuel: sugar in vs mfp=-4 CI<CO net=127 vits=1
Live: Joe, readings, BP, ptT, ptS, hymns, start laundry. Wt:132.7
Caught up, time to snooze.
Later, lighter, lovelies!
Barbara, the Southern Oregon Coastie AHMOD
January: Move more: dailyish PT, play with dogs, more steps than yesterday.
Fuel better: less sugar, CI<CO, dailyish vitamins. more AF days than not.
Live NOW: dailyish time with Joe, dogs, readings, Hebrew, meditation.
Open heart and mind before mouth.
2024: Strengthen: body, mind, heart-connections

Machka - so sorry the crud is still hanging on. How's your husband doing?
Rosemarie - what car did you decide on? Have fun test driving. I think we all need some yellow in our lives - adding a yellow sofa when you are ready is a good place to start.
Rori - what an awesome post and so timely. Always love to see you pop in, your positive energy jumps out at us.
Allie - has Alfie actually met and spent time with Siri? Nice that Carmine and Seth showed up at sMiles party. It's a start.
Tracey - this HP should last for many years unless I spill coffee on it. I had 2 Dell laptops throughout the years that quit working - as I recall, they starting "eating" batteries which were expensive, plus they just slowed down - not enough memory and other issues. I have never used this laptop on my lap, and only use the battery once every 2 weeks when Collette comes and I move it off the dining room table into the office.
So yesterday after I reloaded Chrome and got things set up again, I decided to get off Windows 10 and installed Windows 11. Took 3 hours. Still getting used to it but it's fairly easy to navigate around. Maybe that will help stabilize this thing, crossing fingers. I think losing my profile info could have been a Windows issue, we'll see.

Good morning ladies!
Ginny and others, thanks for your good wishes! The doctor said I don't have Covid, although with all the variants who can say. And I just got an RSV vaccine a month ago. So I think it's just a respiratory virus with a bad cough. Whatever it is, it's getting a little better, Yay! Machka hope you feel better!
The minister is supposed to come by one of these days to plan the service. And I still need to dye my hair. I just need to stop procrastinating and get it done. It's not that hard, just messy. I don't know why I make such a big deal out of it.
It rained yesterday and looks like more rain today.
Dreary.
Well have a great day ladies!
Annie in Delaware5 -
Pampered my feet just a little today. Well overdue. I must do it more often, but always put it off.
I'm making a big pot of Masala Peas, that should do for two dinners, if not more. Having it tonight with monkfish kebabs. Yum.
Did a woolly wash and I've hung it up in the utility room. (No dryer)
Terrible night's sleep. Will have a short nap in a minute when the peas are done.
PS - I am playing with some sentences for the blurb. At least I've made a start.
Love to all. Heather UK xxxxxx4 -
Well had a whole blurb done and poof its gone.. we got maybe 2 inches of snow..
Today is Miles actual birthday..
Somebody is enjoying the snow 😁4 -
Annie stay strong and just put one foot in front of the other and you'll get through this challenge.
Allie Thanks for sharing the photos and news that Carmine came to Miles' birthday party. I want so much for Carmine to find their way and for their parents to not be a road block.
Annie, the puppy, chewed such a big hole in back of her dog bed that it nearly beyond repair. We may be going to Petco this morning to buy a new one.

Lisa: It's wonderful that your daughter can see you for a few days and Happy Birthday to Levi!
Allie : Did my heart good to see Carmine visiting and hugging Miles. She has the potential to being a very pretty young woman and I have wishes that her life will become calm and stable.
Lanette: Glad you got your computer up and working. I have been using Windows 11 for several years and pleased with all but the updates they are constantly wanting you to use. Hope your chicks stay safe in this week's weather.
Annie: I have been wondering about the funeral service. Why has it taken so long to have it? Just asking out of curiosity because all the people I know have been buried within days after their passing. Please don't take offense for me asking, but, I was just wondering. My brother-in-law passed the Friday before Christmas and I think they are having him cremated but we have not had any updates at this time. Mainly because they are in very South Florida and we are in GA and unable to travel. Maybe they will bring his ashes up here at some point to scatter as most of his family are buried in the same cemetery here.
My other brother-in-law who is in memory care was sent to the hospital Friday night with breathing problems and diagnosed with pneumonia, water on his lungs due to his heart problem, and an infected lung. My husband (his care giver) went to the hospital and was able to give the dr's there his list of heart, kidney, and internists. The hospital called yesterday to say that he had fallen (probably got out of bed to go to the restroom; balance problems and he did not have his walker with him there. We will be going to check on him
this morning. He is 81 and my husband (his caretaker) is 76.
I have not commented much lately as there just seems to be a lot chaos in our home. But, wishing all the new posters and all the old posters a good day with many blessings.

My husband is doing well. I think he got a weaker, diffused version. Like a copy of a copy.
I think I ended up in contact with one or more people in a very infectious stage of COVID, likely having just come off a cruise ship. Then I brought it home to him.
I am not sure if it works that way.
Or maybe he is more rested than me and his body was able to ward it off while mine collapsed under the pressure.
I talk to the doctor tomorrow.
Meanwhile it is warm, very humid, and raining here which is a good thing. It has been a bit dry. Dry is scary.
I was able to do one thing today ... order groceries!

Good Sunday,
Barbie I found my Pyrenees, Sara, ate any bed that had foam in it. As long as I bought the ones with fluff, not foam, she just laid in them. Just a suggestion. Sara was mixed with Golden Retriever.
Allie I too cried when I saw Carmine with Miles. That was a great first step! Also, Why is it Tracey's business if you get a cat? She has her own life to deal with. You do you!
Peace and healing to all!
I could go back to see what I posted yesterday, but......too many pages-hehe. Obviously I posted that my coffee date got cancelled. I ended up going straight to work. I swept up the back of the shop. Took an hour and 4 1/2 barn scoops of crap into the trash can. I seriously don't know how anyone works in that kind of mess. If it needs done, just frickin to it. One mechanic, the oldest, says he has no boss since FIL passed away. He isn't in the best health, but really could do more cleaning! Then again I have seen his house and self care. The other gets tired of always cleaning up, but still doesn't do things to my standards when he does. Things like emptying trash before it is overflowing, emptying the oil buckets every day before at the tip top, washing the outside of the oil buckets when they get groddy, sweeping the floors at the end of the day, tidying the work bench so that it is easier to find what you need, paying attention to details when working on unit and when washing them. These are all things that I did when I worked as mechanic all the time. I liked starting my day with a clean area and took pride in the work I did on the units. I will say that the old mechanic did sweep up his mess yesterday at least to the trash can.....not sure why he can't put it in the can......Anyway, was slow slow at work. I finished up some training that was new, caught up on emails, waited on a few customers, then walked the showroom reading my book on my phone. After work, I went to Hallmark to get cards. Their selections were limited, but got January and February birthdays. Decided that I was just going to order some online. I was happy to find out that House Mouse designs is still in business online. Did that. Managed both groceries, yay! Ended up taking a nap , unintended, when I finally sat down at 7 pm. Needless to say my Peppermint tea was cold after 45 mins. It was a good day. Bible read, book read, almost 11K steps, water in, and in spite of grazing most of day, was under calorie!
Slept in this morning. I have migraine, ugh. Took meds, walked for 30 mins, checked emails, Read Bible, read a chapter in book, caught up with you ladies. I am making lasagna for dinner (venison thawing), plan on starting on just in case binder (won't be perfect, but just needs started), water plants, shampoo carpet (need to get started on that so is dry for tonight), and make the "creme" pie (thank you Ginny) for desserts tonight. I think I will make them in individual dishes for easier serving. Also picked up some awesome gluten free muffins from Trader Joe's. They are big so will cut in quarters, give choice of ice cream or whipped cream with them. I got chocolate and cinnamon ones.
I need to get moving since it is already 11 am.
I am thankful for and inspired by all of you ladies! Your sharing, caring, strengths, and weaknesses help me every day!
Love,
Kylia in dreary, sleety Ohio

LynnetteThe high fasting glucose starts with how late you ate and how many carb you ate the last time. Mine is high fasting but I got that down by not eating anything after 6 PM and keeping the carbs down.
Audiobooks I like to listen to audiobooks and count those when I finish one. My drive to town is about 25 minutes, so when I go alone, I listen to a book. I’ve bought over 100 over the years and re-listen to the ones I haven’t read in a while. Every so often I will re-subscribe to Audible and get a few more, but it is an expensive subscription so don’t keep it for long anymore.
Non-Aerosol spray oil We bought one of those salad spritzer things and my DH uses it instead of spray oil. We fill it with avocado or light olive oil and use that instead of the spray. Saves money, and saves the earth a little from no cans or aerosols to put into the environment.

A miracle occured today was the family party
I saw Seth walk by the window,so I knew both came, and they brought Miles a card and a present.. she gave or let us all give her a hug and ,I sat at the dining table and bawled like a baby.. I thank Karen,Seths mom for finally talking some sense into Carmine..it was wonderful seeing her.
After I left went to get kitty stuff at Petsmart and came home, and I looked everywhere for my phone.. nowhere, drove all the way back to Petsmart ,and someone turned it in..praise the lord..
We are supposed to get socked in with snow but I'll believe it when I see it..
Miles had 2 cupcakes and the sugar flipped him out..
Allie so awesome about Carmine going to the party and ‘allowing’ everyone to hug her. I pray she visits more often.🙏
